Spencer and Ashley were sitting in the doctor's office waiting for the doctor, Ashley leg kept bouncing up and down. Spencer smiled and leaned over to kiss her girlfriend, she loved when Ashley got nervous.
"Relax baby"
"I don't like doctors"
"I know you don't, but this is for our baby"
"I know"
Spencer leaned over and kissed Ashley on the cheek, resting her head on her shoulder. Last night Spencer couldn't get to sleep properly, Ashley had stayed at home to look after her mother. Spencer yawn again, then she heared a laugh from Ashley.
"Tired babe?"
"Yes, you know I can't sleep without you"
"I know, I'm sorry baby"
"It's fine"
"Spencer Carlin"
Both of the girls got up and followed the nurse into the room, Spencer took the little outfit that the nurse was holding up. She waited till the nurse left, then took off her clothes and handed them to Ashley.
"So what is this ultrasound suppose to tell us?"
"How well our little one is, and if it's a boy or girl"
"Do we have to know?"
"Ashley it's a good thing to know if our baby is healthy or not" Spencer walked over and lay down on the bed.
"I meant with the gender"
"Well I guess…"
"Hello ladies!"
"Hey doc"
"Okay so let's check up on your little on shall we?"
Spencer almost jumped as she felt the cold gel on her stomach; she squeezed Ashley hand and looked up at her. She relaxed as Ashley laid a kiss on her lips gently.
"There is your baby"
Both girls looked over and saw their little one on the screen, Spencer started to awe as she started to hear the baby's heart beat. When she looked over at Ashley, she found the girls with tears coming down her cheek.
"Ash"
"It's our baby Spence, look at them there beautiful"
"Yes they are Ashley"
"Do you want to know the sex?"
Spencer looked over at Ashley; she knew Ashley didn't want to know. She was hoping seeing the little one would change her mind.
"Ash?"
"It's up to you Spencer, I don't want to know yet" Spencer nodded and looked over at the doctor, she shook her head.
"No, not today"
"Okay, let me print out some pictures for you"
When they got back to Spencer's house everyone was waiting to know the answer. Paula and Christine had been baking cookies, while Arthur and the boys were cooking on the grill out back. Ashley got out of the car and walked around, opening the passenger side door for Spencer.
"The boys are cooking"
"I know I can smell it from here, it smells really good"
The girls walked into the house and set down their bags from school, it wasn't long till their mothers and father was at there feet waiting. Ashley and Spencer smiled and pulled out the pictures, handing them around.
"So what is it, boy or girl?"
"We don't know"
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"We agreed not to find out till the day Spencer gives birth" The girls laughed at all the groans that came out after they said that.
"Fine, let's go eat" Ashley stopped Spencer and turned her around, laying a gentle kiss on her lips.
"Thank you Spencer"
"For what?"
"For letting me have this one"
"I love you Ash, and this is your experience to baby"
"I love you too Spence"
