So, as I've been doing with Lewis chapters, I'm focusing on what isn't in the show. So this is the before and the after.
Olivia stood at the airport with her arms wrapped around her husband. "I'm going to miss you," she whispered as she kissed him. "I don't know how I'm going to sleep without your arms wrapped around me." She ran her hands over his chest.
Trevor kissed her gently. "It's only got a couple of days. I'll be home before the weekend. We can FaceTime every night and talk until we fall asleep." He cradled her face in his hands. "As much as I want to stand here and kiss you, I need to catch my plane," he whispered. "I'll call when I get to Detroit, I promise."
She smiled gently. "FaceTime me," she kissed him once more. "I love you, Trevor. More than anything in the whole world."
He saw a tear fall from her eye and he wiped it away. "I love you, too, Olivia. Words can't describe." They shared one final kiss, before he grabbed his carry on and walked through security.
Olivia stayed where she was until she couldn't see him anymore. She took a deep breath and walked out of the airport, driving back to their apartment to try and get a couple more hours of sleep before she went in to work. After a few hours of tossing and turning she got up and got dressed for work, giving up on sleep for now. She stopped to get coffee by the precinct and she felt her phone vibrate. She looked and saw a FaceTime call, she answered it, expecting it to be Trevor. What she saw made her blood run cold. William Lewis. She dropped her coffee and looked around. She walked into the precinct and made calls for backup. "Damn it," she whispered. She filled her squad in on what happened, she tried to appear calm but she was frazzled. "He's not leaving New York he wants me."
The hours flew by. She begrudgingly accepted a security detail. Trevor's FaceTime came through and she answered. "Hey beautiful." He saw her far off look. "What's wrong?"
She took a deep breath. "Lewis escaped from prison." She curled under the blankets.
His heart stopped. "I'm coming home."
Olivia shook her head. "No. I'm okay. I have a detail, half of NYPD is out looking for this guy. I'll be fine." She smiled. "You'll be my first call if I need you, okay? I promise."
Trevor took a deep breath. "Just promise me you'll be okay. I can't lose you."
She rested put her elbow on the bed and smiled. "I'm not goin' anywhere. You're stuck with me, Trevor Langan."
He looked at her, into her eyes as best he could through the screen. "I wouldn't want it any other way." He gently touched his screen. "I miss you."
Olivia bit her bottom lip. "I miss you, too."
Trevor looked at her. "Are you sure you don't want me to come home? I will. You know that. I'll be on the first plane out."
She smiled. "Of course I want you to come home, but not because of Lewis. I want you to come home because I just want to me in your arms. I want to feel you kiss me. I'm a big girl, Trevor. There are going to be times you have to travel without me for work. I have to learn to survive for a couple of days without you. I promise, me wanting to kiss you, or touch you, feel you, is no reason for you to cut your trip short. I'll survive."
He returned her smile. Okay," he looked at the time. "You have to be exhausted. You need your rest."
Olivia bit her bottom lip. "Can you, maybe, stay on FaceTime until I fall asleep? It's not the same as having you here, but, maybe if I hear your voice I'll get a little bit of sleep."
Trevor smiled. "Of course, my love."
She took a deep breath. "Trevor, please remember, no matter what, I love you. Just, I don't feel in any kind of danger but I know Lewis. Too well. I know things can go wrong. Know that I love you. Please know that."
He felt tears well up in his eyes. The thought of losing her was too much. "I love you too, Olivia. So much," he wiped his eyes. "Lay down, close your eyes." His voice shook as he softly spoke words of love through the phone, watching her fall asleep. He too, fell asleep shortly after. Still on FaceTime.
The next day was a blur. Between the squad trying to find Lewis, the statement she'd made about lying on the stand, and finally, Olivia slipping her detail, commandeering a town car and driving to where Lewis directed her with no backup. But not before she sent a text to Trevor. 'I love you. No matter what.' Lewis handcuffed her to the inside of the door in the backseat and drove to an abandoned granary. Leading her through the lower level and up the stairs to see Amelia. He duct taped her legs to the table and started undoing her pants when she dissociated, her eyes went dead. Her lack of fight pissed him off and he forced her to play Russian Roulette. When he slid the gun across the table, her body started to shake. All she could think about was Trevor. She had to tell herself that he'd find someone better than her, he'd be happy, and he'd have the family he'd always wanted. "Okay," she picked up the revolver with a shaking hand.
Five chambers had come and gone. The final camber, the bullet still in the gun. Lewis held the barrel of the gun to her forehead, she was accepted the fact that she was about to die. "This is the last thing you're going to think about. This is the last thing you're going to see before you die." Her body was uncontrollably shaking as he turned her head, forcing her to watch as he put a bullet through his head. She and Amelia let out a scream and seconds later her squad came rushing to her aid.
She looked at Lewis' lifeless body. "He was about to shoot me." Her face splattered with his blood and brain matter. She was told to keep quiet until her delegate arrived. She was wrapped in a blanket. "Call Trevor." Her eyes were dazed as Amaro drove her to the emergency room. Once they arrived it was a blur. She only recalled short phrases, like her blood pressure being through the roof, dangerously high, they took blood, and all she could think about was how exhausted she was.
The nurse looked at her, once Amaro left. "Olivia." She saw Olivia look at her. "I wanted to wait until your colleague left. You're pregnant."
Olivia felt her breath speed up, tears springing to her eyes. "I—" she held her stomach. "Oh my God," she broke down in sobs. Once Her blood pressure was brought down she was cleared to go home. She had Fin and Nick bring her.
Amaro looked at her. "You want me to call Langan?"
She shook her head. "He's on a plane. On his way home from Detroit."
He nodded. "You want one of us to stay? You shouldn't be alone."
Olivia lay back on the couch, accepting the water that Nick poured for her. "I'm okay. I just— I need sleep. I'm exhausted. I— I need sleep." She watched them leave and she locked the door behind them. She went into her bedroom and undressed, looking at herself in the mirror, rubbing her stomach. "I'm so sorry, baby. I didn't know. I'm so sorry. Please. You have to be okay. You have to." She covered herself in blankets and slowly fell asleep. Around 6 AM she jumped awake, feeling someone climb into bed with her. She saw Trevor and she collapsed into sobs. "Trev—" She felt his arms wrap around her. She was safe. "I'm so sorry," she gripped his shoulder.
Trevor rubbed her back. "Shh, shh, shh. It's okay. I'm right here. I'm right here."
She looked at him. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I— I—"
He kissed her forehead. "It doesn't matter. You're alive and I can still hold you in my arms."
Olivia wiped her eyes. "No, you need to understand. He had a little girl, Trevor. I couldn't— I couldn't let him hurt her any more than he had. I slipped my detail. I thought my squad was going to find me quicker. I thought I could buy time by letting him rape me."
Trevor caressed her face. "Did he—-?"
She shook her head. "I stopped fighting and he got bored. He got angry. He—" her voice shook. "He forced me to play Russian Roulette." Her lip quivered. "The bullet was in the last chamber. The chamber that fell on my turn. He held the barrel of the gun to my head before he turned it on himself and put a bullet in his own head."
He held her closer. "I'm just glad you're alive, baby. I'll be mad tomorrow about you slipping your detail. Right now I just need to hold you."
Olivia looked at him. "There's one more thing." She took a deep breath and took his hand, resting it on her flat belly. She looked into his eyes and she nodded.
Trevor looked at her. "You— we're—"
She smiled. "We're gonna have a baby. And you have to believe me, I didn't know. I never, ever would have— if I'd known—"
He cut her off with a kiss, holding her tightly. "We're having a baby!" He caressed her face.
Olivia felt tears stream down her face again, she nodded. "Now that everything's out in the open. Hold me while I sleep. I need sleep. I need you to hold me. You make me feel safe. That's what I need."
Trevor held her close and stroked her hair. "I'm right here baby. I'm right here," he whispered and soothed her to sleep. He kissed her forehead and he fell asleep with his arms wrapped tightly around her.
She was up first the next morning, but she didn't move to get up. She stayed wrapped in his arms. She felt him stir and his hand rub her back. "Morning," she whispered.
He looked down at her. "Morning, beautiful."
Olivia looked up at him. "Trevor, you're allowed to be mad at me for what I did."
Trevor took a deep breath. "I am. I am mad at you, Olivia. You promised me that you'd be safe and you slipped your detail, you could have died Olivia."
Her lip quivered. "I know. I'm sorry."
He found her eyes. "Then why?"
Olivia looked at him. "He had a little girl. Her wrists were tied, the rope over a beam. He raped her older sister and killed her mother, possibly in front of her. He texted me her picture and told me to come alone or she was dead. I couldn't— Trev I couldn't let her die. I couldn't let him hurt her more than he had. I wouldn't be able to live with myself."
Trevor caressed her face. "What about me, Liv? What would I have done if you took a bullet to the head?"
She swallowed hard. "Trev, I didn't want to hold that gun to my head. I had to tell myself that if I died that you would find someone else, someone better, and you'd fall in love with her and have the family you've always wanted. The family you deserve." She felt tears sting her eyes, wiping them away.
He lifted her chin. "Olivia, you're it for me. You are the only woman I want. You're the only woman I want to carry my child, the only woman I want to have a family with."
Olivia caressed his face. "I'm sorry." She curled into his chest, feeling him hold her. "Please still love me. Please forgive me."
Trevor kissed the top of her head. "Of course I forgive you. I love you more than anything in this world. I will never stop loving you. When Amaro called me after they found you, I stopped breathing and I fought with the ticket counter to get me on the next plane home. I made boarding with about thirty seconds to spare. I've never run so fast in my entire life." His arms wrapped tightly around her. "I forgive you, because I can hold you, and kiss you, touch you, and feel you." He kissed her slowly.
She nuzzled into his chest. "I don't want to go to IAB. I don't want to leave our bed." She kissed his chest. "I missed you so much."
He kissed the top of her head. "I missed you, too. Tell you what, how about I make breakfast, you get dressed, go to IAB, and when you come home we can crawl right back into bed, we can do whatever you want. Okay?"
Olivia smiled and kissed him gently. "Okay." She made her way out of bed, putting on work clothes. She walked out to the kitchen, seeing him making her a plate of pancakes. She wrapped her arms around him from behind. "I'm so lucky," she whispered. She kissed his shoulder blades.
Trevor turned in her arms. "I'm the lucky one." He handed her a plate and kissed her lips. "You call a lawyer yet?"
She looked at him. "I don't need one, Lewis shot himself."
He lifted his eyes to meet hers. "I believe you. But you should still have a lawyer. Want me to go with you?"
Olivia shook her head. "Trevor, I'll be fine," she kissed him slowly. "I'm just giving my statement. I did nothing wrong."
Trevor let out a breath. "Okay. Eat your breakfast before it gets cold."
She smiled and kissed his lips quickly, eating her pancakes before grabbing her coat. "I'll be home soon, love." She hugged him, feeling his arms tight around her, kissing him gently before grabbing her keys and her purse and heading out. She drove to One PP and checked in at the desk at IAB. She was taken back to a white room, sitting at a table with Tucker and Cole, answering questions.
Rita Calhoun walked in and Tucker stood up. "Rita, um, Counselor, now isn't a good time."
Rita raised an eyebrow. "Nice to see you too, Ed. This isn't personal. I've been retained to represent the Sergeant. Besides she has forty-eight hours to make her statement to IAB. Provided I get a transcript of what was said here today, we will see you in twenty-four hours."
Olivia followed Rita out. "Counselor, I appreciate it, but I don't need a lawyer."
Rita looked at her. "You may think you don't, and maybe you truly don't, but we don't know where IAB's head is at. For all we know they think you killed him, after that confession, that we'll say was coerced, on national television the day before Lewis wound up dead."
Olivia sighed. "Look, Rita, that statement was made under duress, but—"
Rita cut her off. "Stop talking! If you tell me now that you beat Lewis while he was cuffed, if this goes to trial, I can't allow you to get on the stand and testify that you didn't."
Olivia furrowed her brow. "Trial? And hypothetically, if I did say that I beat him on the stand?"
Rita took a deep breath. "You open yourself to charges of perjury, assault, excessive force, risk jail time. You could lose your pension. Your account of what happened at the granary would be called into question. So, let's agree not to talk about it, hm?" She patted Olivia on the shoulder and walked away.
Olivia watched her walk away and she moved to get in her cruiser, heading back to the apartment she shared with Trevor. She walked in the door. "I'm home!" She closed and locked the door.
Trevor came out from the bedroom. "That was fast."
She nodded. "I gave about a quarter of my statement when Rita Calhoun showed up. Apparently she's been retained to represent me." She crossed her arms. "You know anything about that, Counselor?"
He ducked his eyes. "Can I take five?"
Olivia wrapped her arms around him. "I'm not mad at you, Trev. Turns out you were right. And I'm sorry I doubted you."
Trevor held her and smiled. "Rita has a way of making people see her side."
She chuckled. "Trust me, I know." She ran her hands over his chest. "I don't have to be back for twenty four hours, it's just you and me."
He grinned. "What do you have in mind?"
Olivia bit her bottom lip and took off her blazer, taking her shirt off over her head. "A bath?" She smiled and took his hand, leading him into the bathroom.
Trevor pulled her closer, gripping her ass. "You sure?" He whispered in her ear. "Because I—"
She started to undress him. "I'm positive. This time was different. I'm not afraid to be touched. This time the nightmares are of a gun to my head. Not him violating me. Besides, I want to celebrate the fact that we're having a baby together."
He let her take his shirt off and he unhooked her bra, slipping it off her body, gently sucking on her nipple. He heard her moan. He undid her pants and pushed them down her body, turning on the bath water. He felt her hands on his skin once she finished undressing him. "You take the lead. I don't want to hurt you."
Olivia smiled and started to stroke him. "Just let me see your eyes while we have sex, okay?" She heard him groan and looked at the tub, climbing in and turning the water off. She saw him climb in and sit down, facing her. She slowly moved toward him, straddling his lap. She felt his hands on her belly. She smiled and rested her hands on his. "There's a baby in there," she whispered. She cradled his face in her hands, kissing him slowly, feeling him pull her hips down, moaning as she sank onto him. "Oh, Trevor," she whispered, her eyes opened and she looked deep into his eyes. Her hips moved in a figure eight, feeling his thumb on her clit. "Oh, God!" She arched her back. "Mm, yeah baby!"
Trevor groaned, holding her hips, holding her close, relishing the feel of her. It wasn't long before they reached their climaxes together. He pulled her in close, both were crying. "I could have lost you," he whispered, resting a hand on the back of her head. "I could have lost the only woman I've ever loved."
She nodded as she sobbed on his shoulder. "I'm sorry," she whispered. It was all she could say.
A/N: It's happened. Olivia's pregnant, I hinted to it last chapter, the title from last chapter is "Pregnant" in Hawaiian (or, Google Translate's version). Anyway, my next update is going to be Desire, but I have a midterm to finish before I can update that, so it may take a few days. Leave a review. Here or on Twitter (couricshargitay).
