Chapter 35
Serena's point of view
It's been five months and in that time Jake and I've gotten our wedding planned. And today happens to be my wedding day. It's a nice October day and the weather is going to be great. Jake and I are getting married in the forest next to Sam and Emily's. In these past few months Leah and Drew, and Paul and Rachel got married. And I have a new niece named Audrey. She's the cutest little girl and a total angel. Anyway I'm really nervous about the next few hours. Is anything going to go wrong? Is my dress still going to fit? Am I going to trip going down the aisle? Is Jake drunk from his bachelor party last night? Does he still want to get married?
"Serena calm down!" Rain says shaking me from my thoughts.
"What?" I ask.
"Calm down." she repeats.
"Sorry but what if something goes wrong?" I ask starting to pace the room.
"Nothing's going to go wrong dear." Mom says.
"Listen to your mom Serena." Rachel says putting her hands on my shoulders stopping me from pacing.
"But.." I start.
"No buts." Leah interrupts. "Now put your butt in this chair so we can do your hair and face." she says and I nod following orders.
I'm now dressed and almost ready to walk down the aisle. I smooth out my white dress and smile at the diamond ring on my ring finger. My dress is an A-line strapless scalloped-edged neckline organza weep/brush train dress. There's a diamond belt, lace beading, and a lace up back. My ring is a diamond 14k white gold Lucia-cut solitare ring. It's beautiful but I'd be fine with duct tape as a ring because it's not about the ring, it's about Jake and I's love for one another.
"You ready?" Kim asks. She, Rain, and Rachel are my bridesmaids. Rain's my maid of honor, and Embry's Jake's best man. Claire and Sophie are my flower girls and Brian's the ring barer. The bigger girls are wearing a dark eggplant color strapless chiffon A-line knee length dress. Sophie's wearing a dark purple dress with a light purple bow and Claire's wearing the opposite, a light purple dress with a dark purple bow. All the guys, including Jake and Brian, are wearing gray suites with purple ties and vests.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I say with a smile and she smiles too. Sam comes over to me and I smile.
"I can't believe my little sister is getting married. And so young." he says and I roll my eyes.
"Oh shut up." I say and he chuckles.
"Just saying. Dad's not here so I figured someone had to say it." he says and I nod.
"Thanks for being there for me when dad wasn't. I really appreciate it." I say. Sam's been with me through everything.
"You're welcome Serena." he says and kisses my head. Here comes the bride starts to play and I take in a deep breath as Rachel and Paul walk out the back doors for the aisle. Paul sends me a smirk before he goes though and I smile back at him. Kim and Jared head down next, then Rain and Embry, and lastly Claire, Sophie, and Brian. I tighten my grip on Sam's arm and he smiles down at me.
"Relax. Jake's been going crazy all morning wanting to see you." Sam says.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yep. Now are you ready to become Mrs. Black?" he asks with a smirk.
"Yes. I have been for awhile." I answer and we head out the doors down to my waiting werewolf and soon to be husband.
"You may now kiss the bride!" Billy announces and I smile as Jake leans down to kiss me. Did I mention Billy decided he wanted marry us, well he did. Cheers and wolf whistles sound all around us and I smile breaking the kiss. Jake smirks and picks me up bridal style. I squeal and he walks down the aisle back into the house.
"I love you Mrs. Black." Jake says setting me down.
"I love you too Mr. Black." I smirk and he kisses me.
"Alright stop kissing or you'll ruin her makeup." Rain scolds as she enters the room with a camera in hand. Rain wants to be a photographer and is the wedding photographer for our wedding.
"Fine." Jake grumbles.
"Good now come we must take pictures!" she says grabbing our hands and pulling outside so we can take pictures.
After a few hundred, or maybe thousand, pictures Rain lets us head to the reception. The area of the ceremony was remade into a reception area while we were taking pictures. It looks really nice.
"Now introducing for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Black!" Paul announces to the crowd. Jake and I head to the dance floor and music starts to play.
"May I have this dance m'lady?" Jake asks and I smile.
"Why of course kind sir." I say and we chuckle. We start to sway to the music and dance as husband and wife for the first time. Cameras flash but I ignore them by looking into Jake's eyes.
"I love you Jake." I tell him.
"I love you too Serena." he says and kisses me.
After the first dance we have dinner and then more dancing. I danced with Billy and Jake danced with my mom. Now it's time for cake and toasts.
"Alright who's first?" Paul asks.
"ME!" Rain yells and runs up to the microphone. Oh no what is she going to say?"Alright well I'm Rain, the maid of honor and best friend to the bride. Now I've known Serena my whole life and Jake for around five years and let me tell you something they're soul mates. They're perfect for each other as you all can see. They love each other but it didn't start out that way. But that's over and they're finally getting their happily ever after! I wish you two happiness and love but Jake I swear if you hurt her you're going down! Love you two! Cheer" Rain says and hurries back to Embry. We all laugh at her and she smiles. We all drink a little of our champagne or water for the the kids.
"Alright my turn." Sam says grabbing the mic. "Okay so I know Jake and Serena will be together for a long time, they're true lovers. Even though I don't always like it I know Jake will take care of my sister and that's all I can ask for. But as Rain said hurt her and you'll be answering to me Jake." Sam says and I roll my eyes. "I love you both and wish you the best so cheers!" he says and we all take a sip. Mom, Embry, Billy, Rachel, Paul, and others say speeches and I smile at them all. They're all so sweet and wish us the best. Paul's was funny but made me blush while Sam and Embry growled being the over protective brothers they are. After the toasts we cut the cake, both Jake and I smeared cake on each other. But he was nice and didn't do put too much on my face. After cake we dance again and then I throw my flowers which Rain catches. She smirks at Embry and he blushes which makes me smile and chuckle. Embry's been wanting to propose and Rain is patiently, okay not so patiently, waiting for him to ask her. Since I got engaged she's been planning her wedding too. She wished Embry had asked her when Jake asked me so we could have twin weddings. Anyway after the flowers were thrown Jake threw the garter which Paul caught, cue eye roll. We danced some more and pretty soon it was eleven and Jake and I had to get going. He's taking me somewhere but I don't know where.
"Bye you two!"
"Be safe!"
"Ya real safe!" that came from Paul.
"Have fun!"
"Safe Driving!" everyone yells. Jake and I get into his truck and I wave to everyone.
"Bye see you soon!" I yell.
"Come back soon or I'm coming after you!" Rain yells and I chuckle.
"Bye!" Jake says and we start to pull away from everyone.
"You know she really will come after us." I tell Jake as we pull onto the main road.
"Ya I figured she would." he says with a smile.
"So how does it feel being Mrs. Black?" he asks with a smirk.
"Wonderful Mr. Black." I say taking his hand.
"Good." he says and kisses my hand.
"Now where are we going?" I ask.
"Nope it's a secret." he says and I groan.
"Fine." I say and he smiles.
"You'll like it, trust me." he says.
"Okay." I yawn.
"Get some rest, I'll wake you when we get there." he says and I nod slowly nodding off.
"Serena angel." someone shakes me awake. I open my eyes and find Jake leaning over me in the door way.
"Where are we?" I yawn.
"Pac Beach." he says and I smile.
"You're right I do like this surprise." I smile as does he. He picks me up bridal style and walks me into the cottage. "Oh I missed this place." I say. We haven't been here in more than half a year.
"I know you did." he says and I smile up at him. I kiss his soft lips and soon things turn heated. We express our endless love that night.
