The red ball of light would not break and Sailor Moon let out another scream as she found herself going through the walls of the mansion carelessly and the unfamiliar sensation of the experience filled her. Luna and Artemis clung onto her shoulders with their claws digging into her petal-like sleeves. Suddenly she swooped downwards and then she was pitching upwards in the air as she soared up a staircase. She gave up hitting the ball and she leaned back uncertain of what she should do. "Help me!" She thought, but she was already phasing through another set of doors and suddenly the ball stopped. It released from her prison and she fell with a panicked shout onto the hard ground; almost crushing the two cats underneath her.
"Are you alright?" Luna asked getting up and standing beside Sailor Moon who nodded.
"Yes." She stated sitting up and rubbing at her hip that had contacted the ground first. "Just surprised." She sat up completely now and the two cats stood next to her as she observed her surroundings with a gasp. She froze in place as she began to breath more rapidly and she moved her legs underneath her so she was kneeling in the darkness. The palms of her hands pressed down against the hard floor while she observed the long room extending far in front of her. At the end of the long room there were two sets of staircases that both curled around and meet at the top. "The ballroom..." Sailor Moon whispered vacantly, and she found herself transported back to the time she had stood there all alone in a mask of feathers. Then... Mamoru had been there. So... it end had started here and it would here.
"Moon Princess..." Sailor Moon gasped and she looked up to the top of the steps where the wedding announcement had been made in what had felt like ages ago. A single ray of light now shone to reveal the tall woman from before, her eyes reflecting her wicked desires plainly. "I'm so glad you could finally join me."
"Queen Beryl..." Sailor Moon said in realization. Luna stepped forward with Artemis and they lowered their bodies as if they would pounce on her if she came to close too Sailor Moon. It was foolish really, but it was also instinctual for them. Sailor Moon watched the woman with wide eyes as she smiled down upon them.
"So you finally recognize me, Princess..." Beryl noted with her same twisted grin. Sailor Moon's resolved hardened and she pressed against the floor in order to pick herself up and she stood in front of the tall, ballroom doors. The Moon Stick formed in her hands and she held it defensively in both hands.
"Where is Mamoru-san?!" She shouted up towards the Queen of Darkness. Beryl remained smiling and her eyes closed happily.
"That man is no more." Beryl reminded her, but Sailor Moon remained firm with the Moon Stick now held offensively out towards Beryl.
"Where is he?!" She demanded. Her brooch responded to her emotions and The Silver Crystal reacted, and in a flash of light Sailor Moon stared down in surprise as a rod formed in front of her. She held The Moon Stick still in her hands and the new rod floated in front of her pulsing with power.
"The Spiral Heart Moon Rod!" Luna gasped in surprise. "Take it, Sailor Moon!" The Moon Stick disappeared from Sailor Moon's hands and Sailor Moon grabbed hold of the new rod carefully. It erupted with light as it responded to Sailor Moon's grasp. It filled her with power and with it came more determination. She glared up at Queen Beryl and she began to walk forward with Luna and Artemis following a few yards behind.
"I will only ask you once more." Sailor Moon threatened as she was growing more courageous. She was going to fake it till she made it. "Where is Mamo-chan?!" She stopped half way across the ball room and both Luna and Artemis remained a fair distance behind. Beryl laughed.
"Endymion-sama has been waiting patiently to see you again as well." She explained and the light around her expanded to reveal Prince Endymion standing a foot or two behind her. His eyes stared at Sailor Moon with pure anger and hatred. Sailor Moon's heart fell and her newly found courage and resolved began to wear away almost instantly as she felt his hatred. Her shoulders slumped an inch and Luna watched sadly as she saw the pain take effect and this time she couldn't stop it.
"Mamo-chan..." Sailor Moon said sadly. His hand touched Beryl's shoulder, and she place one hand over his as she continued to smile at Sailor Moon's pain.
"He is no longer that weak man: Chiba Mamoru. He is reborn to be my greatest warrior! And I will keep him in a way you never could." He bent his head forward and his lips touched her neck gently as he kissed her. Sailor Moon's eyes widened and she could only gasp as the pain filled her.
"No!" She screamed closing her eyes. Her eyes opened as her pain turned into anger and she lifted her head back up to view the two of them. Tears were in her eyes now as she saw the two of them together and her anger shattered just as quickly as it had come. Her sorrow drowned out all other emotions. "Mamo-chan!" She shouted. He looked up at her and his eyes were hard and vacant at the same time. He wasn't really there.
"Sailor Moon." He growled stepping past Beryl who continued to smile, and her eyes glimmered happily as he began to make his descent down the stairs. He removed his sword from his belt and held it to the side as he approached her.
"Mamo-chan..." Sailor Moon said weakly with her shoulders falling along with a tear that drifted down her cheek.
"Hang in there, Sailor Moon!" Luna encouraged, but she couldn't do much more. She glared up at Beryl who held her orbed staff close to her body. "She won't get away with this!"
"I already have." Beryl responded. "And there is no power that can stand against me." She let out a low laugh. "It was the simplest thing." She said in slight awe looking up at the orb. "I would never have expected so much power existed in the universe." She shook her head regretfully. "How foolish I was to think The Silver Crystal was the most powerful object..." Endymion reached the bottom of the steps as she continued to speak. "Back then, how could I have ever expected to find such a place?" She asked. "Such a source of infinite power?" Luna's muscles tensed at the sound of her voice and Artemis stood close by as The Orb glowed, and she glanced down at them in the corner of her eye. "Would you like to know the truth, Princess? The truth about where true power comes from? A truth Metalia kept to herself as she feared I would take it for myself..." Sailor Moon's tears stilled as she tried to regain her composure and she appeared more hardened.
"Power cannot be taken!" Sailor Moon shouted clutching the Moon Rod in her hands. "And it doesn't matter... You have hurt Mamo-chan, and for that... I will seal you away!" She declared. "I will punish you for the harm you have done to him! To The Earth!" Queen Beryl chuckled at her absurdity.
"Princess, you can do nothing against me. I have infinite power now..." Her eyes gleamed with purple light. "All I have to do is access it." Her arms stretched out and she held The Orb out to the side. The Orb remained glowing with power and it was channeling into her. "All I have to do is take in its power!" She declared loudly. "From the place where stars are born..." Luna's eyes widened in fear as she recognized what she was referring to. "This is your end Sailor Moon!" She shouted. "And your Silver Crystal can do nothing against it!" The power in her eyes faded as she regained her composure. "Unfortunately for us, Princess, we won't have that chance. I already promised your demise to someone else." Prince Endymion stood directly across from Sailor Moon with his eyes piercing through her like daggers. "And don't think you will be receiving help from your pathetic team. They are fairly detained at the moment." Beryl's eyes flashed happily at Sailor Moon's distress and she held her hand out over the edge of the balcony. "Endymion-sama! Strike her through!" His hand rose and Sailor Moon's eyes widened as it began to glow, and the power rushed at her. She had just jumped out of the way when it crashed only a few feet behind her. Sailor Moon lifted herself up off of the ground and looked to Artemis and Luna who had jumped out of the way as well. Sailor Moon turned back to face Endymion who stared at her with darkened eyes and remained filled with hatred for her. Sailor Moon grabbed hold of the Moon Heart Rod and prepared to flee from another attack. He no longer was even raising his hand towards her, but his power flooded past him and charged at her.
"No!" She held the Heart Rod out in front of her and defended herself with The Rod's power.
"Sailor Moon! Feel the power of The Earth's Golden Crystal!" Endymion shouted at her as she struggled against it and her eyes squeezed shut as she strained harder.
"No..." She said through gritted teethe.
"Sailor Moon! Use The Silver Crystal! Set him free!" Luna demanded off to the side. "You can do it! Just try!" Sailor Moon let out a cry as she continued to hold out The Rod in front of her and as soon as the attack ceased she unleashed her own power against him.
"Rainbow Moon Heart Ache!" The attack swirl past Endymion, and Sailor Moon's heart continued to beat wildly as it proved to have no effect on him. His eyes remained distant and angry. Sailor Moon took a step back. Her heart was beating too wildly and she was too unsure of her abilities to purge him of the evil energy. Endymion lifted his sword to the side and his other hand outstretched in front of him.
"Tuxedo Dark La Smoking Bomber!" The power struck Sailor Moon and she screamed loudly as it sent flying and she landed hard on her back.
"Sailor Moon!" Luna shouted off to the side.
"Hang in there!" Artemis shouted. Endymion let his sword drop slightly as he waited for her to pick herself up. A pain stabbed at Sailor Moon's heart. He was playing with her like a toy.
"Mamo-chan..." She whispered sadly not moving to get up.
"Get up, Usagi-chan! You have to fight! You have to purify him!" Luna shouted. Sailor Moon stood up as she bit her lip in order to suppress her cries. Endymion's chin lifted high with a dark smile.
"Mamo-chan, please..." Sailor Moon outstretched her arms towards him. "Please, Mamo-chan..." Tears filled her eyes as she begged. He lifted the sword again.
"Sailor Moon." He said in anger and he rushed forward to strike her through.
"No!" Sailor Moon cried desperately as she broke inside; unable to be strong like she had promised to try to be. "Rainbow Moon Heart Ache!" She screamed and the whirlwind of hearts struck him and sent him back this time, but with a weak affect otherwise. Once the attack ceased he picked himself up and looked up with pure rage.
"Sailor Moon!" He shouted in raging anger. Sailor Moon's eyes remained watery as he slashed out again in anger, and sent The Rod carelessly to the ground. She stood helpless against him as she tried to take a step back. He kicked against her stomach before she had the chance to lift her hands up in defense. She fell backwards onto ground in the opposite direction of The Moon Rod and she slid a few feet from the force. Endymion's eyes flashed with dark enjoyment, and he lifted the sword once more in order to strike her through.
"Usagi-chan!" Luna cried out in fear. Sailor Moon's hand instinctively raised to her forehead, and there was no thought involved as she did so.
"Moon Tiara Flash!" The flash of light filled the ballroom blinding Endymion and the others. Sailor Moon rolled away and her hand reached out to the Spiral Heart Moon Rod that was only a few feet away from her. Endymion's foot slammed down onto her back and she yelled out in real pain; both in her back and her heart as her hand remained unable to reach The Rod.
"Usagi-chan!" Luna screamed running towards the fight. She had to get The Rod to her!
"Now, Endymion..." Beryl's deep voice sounded out into the ballroom. "Kill her!" Usagi's eyes widened in fear as she felt Endymion's weight shift, and he raised the sword.
"Usagi!" Adrenaline filled Sailor Moon's veins, and she twisted her body violently, which caused Endymion to lose his balance. Sailor Moon's fingers sent the tiara quickly, and she didn't even have time to even declare the attack. The tiara remained spinning as it continued to strike his stomach. Endymion's eyes remained wide as he staggered backwards off of her and dropped the sword clattered onto the ground between them.
"Usagi!" Luna stopped her run a few feet behind her and they were all breathing quickly from the past adrenaline. "Usagi-chan! Pick up The Rod!" She cried out. Endymion remained hunched over breathing heavily from the attack. His head lifted, and his eyes were completely hardened and enraged. Even more then they had been before, if that had been possible. Sailor Moon's eyes saddened and tear glistened at the edges as she stared at him.
"Mamo-chan..." She whispered, a there was a soft cry in the sound as her voice cracked. She stood up absently and stood not moving towards The Rod.
"Sailor Moon!" Artemis shouted trying to break through to her. "Defend yourself! Please!"
"Usagi-chan!"
"Iie..." Sailor Moon whispered, her voice growing weaker and weaker. Her back grew straighter and she stood tall, but she still spoke absently as if she were a thousand miles away. "I don't want to fight him anymore..." Luna's eyes opened wide in horror and fear. "I just want this to end... I want... to be with him again. Reborn..." She took a weak step towards him, and her voice was distance and saddened. They had wondered what she would do facing him and they had their answer. She would not break. She would shatter. "Maybe then we could be happy... Like we once were..."
"Usagi-chan!" Luna screamed stepping after her in fear. "You can't! You can't snap like this! USAGI!" Sailor Moon was already rushing forward, and grabbing hold of the sword in between the two star-struck lovers. Endymion moved to beat her to it, but Sailor Moon had hold of the hilt, and she spun to face him. As she spun the sound of something hard breaking came as the sword cut through Endymion's chest, and pain flashed on Endymion's face. "No!" Luna screamed. It couldn't end like this! their future couldn't be thrown away in a single motion! Sailor Moon's gloved hand touches his face gently as he stared at her with different emotions raging across his face as he looked into her eyes: Confusion one of them. He was having a difficult time breathing and Sailor Moon's lips touched his as she kissed him forcefully. Their lips finally separated as he fell to the ground. "USAGI! NO!" It was too late for Luna to stop her as the sword lifted and Sailor Moon held the blade and the hilt; ready to plunge it through her chest. She was just ready to end it all. Her eyes closed as the tip of the sword drew the first drip of blood and Sailor Moon began her desperate suicide. "Usagi!" The past could not keep repeating like this! This couldn't be how their love story ended each time! "USAGI!"
"Mama!"
Sailor Moon gasped as the pain ripped through her chest and her head snapped back. The image of a Crystal City came before her now wide eyes before it shattered into darkness.
"Sparkling Wide Pressure!" Jupiter send the ball of energy before her like a bowling ball in front of her and the weaker Youmas evaporated like mist and Sailor Venus lifted her whip out in front of her.
"Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" The chain slashed through the Youma around them, but still they pressed forward on top of them mercilessly. "Mercury!" Venus shouted as they pressed together back to back. Mercury shook her head.
"Nothing. I can't find the exit!" Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter tightened their grips on their weapons and rushed to attack the new Youma emerging around them. Mercury looked after them sadly for a moment. "I don't think there is one." She said softly, but they wouldn't have been able to hear her. Jupiter and Venus returned to Mercury's side and they once again formed a triangle as the remained back to back and the Youma encircled them now. There was no way they could defeat them all. Perhaps not even half of them. The Holy Sword formed in Sailor Venus' hands and she stared at the stone vacantly as both Jupiter and Mercury struck out against the Youma. "Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!" The water splashed ahead of them, and a stray drop landed on the sword. Sailor Venus looked up to the Youma who were converging on them, but also would fall back at the slightest motion they were going to attack.
"She's just playing with us." Venus realized. "Beryl's just playing with us..." She lifted the sword vertically as determination filled her. "We cannot give up!" She declared loudly. But... there was nothing they could do. She looked up towards where she knew the exit should lie but she didn't need Mercury to tell her it was futile to hope to get out by that means. "We're hopeless..." Venus said out loud and the other two looked her way.
"Venus! Fight!" Jupiter ordered. Sailor Venus felt tears threatening to form at the back of her eyes. Fighting the Youma's was useless. The real enemy was fighting Sailor Moon... Sailor Moon was their only hope.
"Sailor... Moon..." Venus said softly. She had done it before she could do it again! Venus stood in shock as she thought this without understanding it, and both Jupiter and Mercury were struggling to keep The Youma away from her as she stared upwards. "Jupiter! Mercury!" Venus shouted suddenly and she looked back down towards them. "We have to give our powers to Sailor Moon!" She yelled. "There is no other way we can help her!" Jupiter punched a hole through a Youma before turning back to Sailor Venus for a brief moment. Mercury sent her attack forward and then stepped back beside Sailor Venus already in agreement.
"We can't get to her..." Mercury agreed. "But our powers and will can." Jupiter gave in and stood beside them as they rejoined their line. Sailor Venus held the Holy Sword with both hands in front of her and her eyes closed.
"All of our strength." Jupiter said closing her own eyes and joining hand with Mercury as they moved to encircle around Venus. Their auras sent a bright light into the darkness and the Youma coward away from them. Mercury closed her eyes too and both her and Jupiter let their head fall back as the sent their powers into The Holy Sword.
"Sailor Moon..." The three said in unison.
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Mercury Crystal Power!" Venus lifted the sword high and stared upwards towards the darkness.
"Please... Sailor Moon..." Venus pleaded into the air. "Sailor Moon!" She yelled out and her power surged through her. "Venus Crystal Power!" The power entered The Holy Sword and it continued to grow and brighten the entire area as the power surged upward through the walls of the dimension.
Sailor Venus collapsed beside both Jupiter and Mercury and she continued to take shallow breaths as The Holy Sword rested to the side of her just at arms reach, but even if attacked she didn't think she would have the strength to lift it any higher than an inch or two; if that.
"Did it work?" Jupiter breathed slowly. Venus grabbed her gloved hand and then she reached for Mercury as well.
"I believe..." Venus whispered weakly. They had given everything and in the process the Youma had retreated, but would probably be back in a short while.
"Serenity..." Mercury whispered, and Jupiter moved slightly on the ground. Venus' eyes were filled with tears as it felt like a key turned in her mind. They had done this all before...
"Please... Neo Queen Serenity..." Both Jupiter and Mercury lifted their gaze higher to the sky as she spoke and it felt familiar to them as well. Venus lay there as the memories continued to pour through, and even more hope filled her as evidence provided itself support that hope. "Serenity... Usagi... don't let it disappear... Please." Venus' eyes squeezed shut as she begged her best friend; her Queen.
"Sailor Moon..." Jupiter said with her voice cracking.
"Usagi-chan..." Mercury said through her own tears. The ground beneath them quivered and Venus just had enough time to instinctively grab hold of her sword before the floor dropped beneath them again and they fell through the air again, but this time they were all too weak to even cry out, and each just closed her eyes giving their remaining strength up to Sailor Moon.
"Silence Glaive Surprise!" The attack swung upward along with the glaive and the Youma shattered into a million pieces as Sailor Saturn twirled her Glaive and held it horizontally beside her. "Go!" She ordered and the three adults rushed forward towards the hoard of Youma still waiting to be taken.
"Space Sword Blaster!"
"Deep Submerge!" Sailor Pluto stood by Saturn holding the Garnet Rod to her side as a wind ruffled her hair.
"Dead Scream..." The attacks whirled around them. They had been making their way upwards, away from the bottom they had landed.
"It's no use!" Their true opponent declared from somewhere behind them. They had tried hitting the Youma over and over again, but she would not stay in one place or attack them either. She only sent more Youma against them. The four grouped back together as the Youma crowded around them. They had been running and had gone through almost 20 levels already. It never seemed to end! Perhaps there was no end... Perhaps the bottom was also the top and the top the bottom... Pluto suspected it might just be true... They rushed forward together and broke through the line of Youma in front of them. They just had to get to the next portal... Perhaps this one would be the one to set them free from this never ending maze!
"Go!" Saturn yelled and they raced forward where the portal of light beaconed to them. The they entered into it while continuing to run forward while they had a head start against the Youma. Uranus glanced over her shoulder to see how far behind the Youma were, but to her surprise they had not broken through the portal yet. She continued to run when finally something clicked in her mind and she turned again to see if it really was true or just her faulty memory. What greeted her was terrifying.
"Where is Saturn?!" She demanded stopping in her run and the other two adults stopped and turned to see their little girl was indeed missing.
"Saturn!" Neptune gasped and Pluto was already running back towards the portal faster then they had ever seen her run the entire time.
"Hotaru!" Pluto yelled out fearfully, and both Neptune and Uranus followed after her in a bit of a panic.
"Go!" Saturn yelled and the three adults raced toward the light and disappeared. Sailor Saturn stopped short in her run and turned quickly to face the Youma. "Silence Glaive Surprise!" She yelled and the surge eliminated a few of the Youma in a single hit as she raced back towards them. She stopped again about nine yards from the portal and she spun the Glaive around her body artfully as she watched the Youma gather around her. She lifted the Glaive up over her head and then she brought it behind her and posed in front of the Youma; just daring them to challenge her. The Youma remained a fair distance away from her, and the humanoid Youma from before made her appearance in front of them, but Saturn did not move to attack her. She was much to fast for a straight on assault. "So you are the one making this dimension, yes?" Saturn asked beginning to walk diagonally along the line of Youma, her one foot always crossing over the other as she walked and she kept The Silence Glaive angled at her side. The Youma smiled callously.
"You think you can defeat me? And set them all free?" She asked daring Saturn to try her best. Saturn's face remained removed and showed no change in emotion or her thoughts. "Even if you could... Our leader would destroy you in a matter of seconds afterwards. She is only allowing you to live for the sole purpose of making you suffer. Nothing more than that." Saturn was unconvinced and she moved the Glaive quickly around her body and then pointed the edged blade directly at The Youma and her chin lowered considerable as she stared the Youma down.
"Sailor Moon is still alive and out of this dimension... And the others did not fall as far down as us." She reasoned to herself. "The portal would close to the other dimensions..." The Youma placed her fingers under chin amused.
"How would it close?" She asked curiously. "What are you thinking?" She mused aloud, and Saturn remained unmoved as she continued to evaluate her plan. Finally she lifted the Glaive in front of her vertically and she stared at the Youma with the pole of the Glaive in the center of her vision.
"I will put an end to this dimension." She said in an even, unafraid tone. The Youma laughed at her.
"Really?" She asked. "And who are you to do such a thing? And how? You can't possibly kill me." She boasted. Sailor Saturn held the Silence Glaive in front of her and her eyes reflected every determined feeling in her. She would not let the future vanish!
"I am Sailor Saturn." She said plainly to the Youma. "Soldier of Death... and Rebirth." The Youma's face turned red with angry.
"Such arrogance! You think a child like you can defeat Queen Beryl's own personal Youma?!" She demanded clenching her fist.
"Yes." Saturn answered and this enraged the Youma.
"Fool!" The Youma declared.
"I will defeat you." Saturn told the Youma. "The others will save the future. We will be reborn again. I believe it... Chibiusa is not gone!" Hotaru almost shouted this as the forbidden conclusion was repulsed from her thinking forever. "I will not allow it! I will sacrifice... everything. Everything..." The Youma took a step back as fear filled her as she stood unsure of what Sailor Saturn could do as she lifted the glaive a bit higher in front of her. "Sailor Moon will succeed." Saturn said in a strong voice. She had no more doubts. "I believe in it. We will be reunited... I will give her my entire strength."
"Hotaru!" Saturn glanced over her shoulder with suddenly sad and ancient violet eyes. Three of the people that loved her most were staring at her in horror. Sailor Pluto's usually calm eyes were wide with terror. "Hotaru! No!" She screamed. "Don't!" Saturn's eyes softened as they watered.
"Goodbye..." Saturn whispered so softly that it would have been impossible for them to hear her at that distance. Then her arms rotated and the Glaive spun downwards in her arms and she stepped partially to the side.
"NOOO!"
"Hotaru!" Both Uranus and Neptune screamed at the mouth of the portal, but Pluto pushed them back with brute force with the end of her Garnet Rod as Saturn's power exploded all around her and began to rush towards them.
"Dark Dome Close!" Sailor Pluto screamed as tears were already making their way down her cheeks and the white portal disappeared before them.
"No! Hotaru!" Neptune moved forward, but her hand only met nothingness. "Hotaru!" Pluto had fallen to her knees and the Garnet Rod clattered beside her as it fell from her hands. Sailor Uranus lunged at her.
"Open it back up!" She demanded. "We have to get Hotaru!" Pluto's hand went to her face as she broke into a set of sobs.
"I can't..." Pluto sobbed. "I can't!" The pain stabbed at her heart. Neptune fell to her knees as well.
"Hotaru..." She said in a strained voice.
"Just try!" Uranus demanded. "Open it!" Pluto looked up at her, her face already stained red as she realized Saturn had known they would come back, and that she would close the portal; keeping the destructive power contained at the lower levels. So it wouldn't harm them or the other Senshi above... But Hotaru... Hotaru would...
"I can't!" Pluto shouted up at Uranus as it pained her to admit it: She couldn't reopen the portal to get to her own daughter. "I couldn't even handle it if I could... To see her..." Pluto cried.
"She said she couldn't use it all..." Neptune said hastily. "She couldn't use her full powers!"
"We gathered together." Uranus said barely remaining able to stand. "We gave her a true awakening... back on The Moon." A surge of power filled them and the feeling cause Pluto and Neptune to break even more while Uranus stiffened.
"Hotaru..." Pluto cried as they felt her light go out completely. The darkness around them shattered and the three of them looked up in fear as the dimension disappeared and they found themselves in what looked like a kitchen and a doorway in front of them.
"Hotaru!" Neptune crashed through the door hoping... just hoping she would be in there. Uranus followed her and Pluto picked herself up with the Garnet Rod for support. Her legs were having difficulty supporting her before she staggered after them. But just as she had suspected, there was nothing to be seen of Hotaru. The dimension and the mansion did not match up. Neptune fell to her knees again and Pluto sobbed silently to herself with closed eyes as she remained standing, and Uranus hugged Neptune on the ground. Neptune turned to Pluto. "If we fix the paradox she'll be reborn!" She said. "Right?" She demanded turning on her knees to face Pluto. "She'll come back to us..." She cried with a sharp breath as she bent forward. Pluto flinched and she tightened her grip on the Garnet Rod forcefully.
"Yes!" Pluto said with force. Her eyes opened and her features grew darker and resolved in that fact. "The Queen will fix this! We will give her the power! Just like Hotaru!" Pluto said. "We will not let her sacrifice be in vain! We'll save... We'll save it! We'll save our future and Small Lady!" Pluto continued. The other two Senshi stared at her for a moment.
"Small Lady..." Neptune repeated, and Uranus remained half standing while bent down over Neptune trying to encourage her to stand up. Her eyes as they stared at Pluto reflected that she too felt the familiar ring of the name in her memory. Neptune grabbed hold of Uranus' hand and the other woman jumped out of her hard stare towards Pluto and turned her attention back to her partner. "Let's go help Sailor Moon." Neptune said standing up with her head still dropped. "We will fight with her, give her our strength just like we've always wished. Just like she asked us to in our dream. Uranus nodded. The two Senshi stood side by side facing Pluto and the three of them stood there in the dark house for a moment. "We will give her... all of our strength." The two began to walk past Pluto as the older Senshi remained gathering her strength inward. She had to be strong. Her eyes opened. She would not bend to the rules of time! She was the Soldier of Revolution. Her head jerked back in surprise as she gasped. A dark presence had overshadowed her and she turned sharply towards Uranus and Neptune, but the darkness was already consuming her partners.
"Uranus! Neptu-" The dark vortex engulfed her as well and her feet no longer found any flooring beneath them, and her vision was yet again consumed in blackness as they fell through another void. "Sailor Moon!"
Sailor Ceres stood looking upwards at the mansion and her sisters nodded in agreement as she looked at them. They were all of one mind. Sailor Moon had entered into it, and so would they. They would help her. Her sisters and her joined hands and their hearts converged as one. They would discover the truth behind their mission. They would no longer wander aimlessly through the streets of Tokyo. Whatever it was that they were here to do... it had something to do with whatever was going on in this mansion. They could feel it.
"Sailor Teleport!" They yelled together, and in the next instant they were inside the mansion in what appeared to be an office. They turned towards the door and each stepped together in unison in order to enter the fight. They would-
"Pallas..." Sailor Pallas halted as her sisters continued onwards and her head turned to the left of her. She had felt something... The others stopped as they reached the door and looked back at her.
"Sailor Pallas?" They asked watching her in concern. Pallas turned her head to face them again, but in the corner of her eyes she caught something shimmer with reflecting moonlight. She gasped and turned her head back to view what she had seem more clearly. Sailor Pallas found herself drawn to the dark purple crystal on the desk.
"So pretty!" She cried and Sailor Juno frown.
"We have no time for that!" She scolded. Sailor Pallas froze as she stared at the crystal and she felt another intense calling, but it was coming from within the crystal.
"This crystal..." Pallas said vacantly holding it.
"Vesta..." The light reflected off of it, and Sailor Vesta gasped as she felt the same calling, and she realized she had seen the crystal somewhere before. She stepped forwards and reached to take it out of Pallas' hands.
"Give it to me!" She ordered. Sailor Pallas pulled it closer to herself in childish refusal.
"No!" She argued as Vesta and her struggled for a moment with the crystal.
"Girls!" Sailor Ceres yelled turning back to them, but they continued to fight and she took a step away from them and towards the door. She would have to take the lead. The sound of something shattering behind her turned her to turn back around and sure enough the crystal lay shattered on the ground. The other girls screamed as a purple mist came up from the crystal and three figures began to rise upwards like ghosts out of the crystal shards. The raven haired girl from before took a deep breath and the two other figures sat beside her in both red and purple.
"You!" The three girls cried together in surprise, and Ceres gasped as she turned completely around to face the newcomers.
"Arigato..." The Shrine Maiden said as her two companions stood up and remained close to her.
"Y-You... We saw you get taken..." Juno said, and then she looked down at the crystal shards. "Ohh..." It was a collective realization and the four girls squirmed in embarrassment. The raven-haired miko's purple eyes hardened and she turned towards the desk.
"We have no time to explain anything to each other. We must get to Sailor Moon!" She cried opening up the desk's top desk. The four Senshi stood together watching her in surprise and a bit of fear at the force behind her voice. Rei opened the drawer and there lay the transformation pen Jed had taken; just where she had seen him put it. She gripped it hastily and lifted it in front of her. "Mars Crystal Power!" She yelled and the red power consumed her as her voice continued enraged. "Make Up!" She finished and once transformed she turned to The Sailor Quartet. "Sailor Quartet!" She said and they recoiled in surprise. Both Phobos and Deimos continued to stay close to Sailor Mars as she spoke. They were content now to let her take charge of the situation. Something had changed within her during their captivity, but they trusted her. They trusted her intuition. Even if they didn't understand anything themselves.
"You know us?!" Sailor Juno asked in surprise. Sailor Mars took a step towards the door and she lifted her hand into the air and her eyes closed.
"My guardian Mars..." She said darkly, and a fiery bow appear in her hands while Phobos and Deimos stood beside her wordlessly. Mars' eyes opened and they were determined. "We must help The Queen." Mars said rushing towards the door. "We must not let the Royal Family end!" Sailor Ceres and the others watched her, and she turned back to them irritated they were not following her fast enough. "You were awoken for a reason!" She yelled pointing at them with the fiery bow to the side. "The same reason I was given back my memories!" Mars continued, and The Sailor Quartet straightened in more surprise.
"To protect our Princess..." Sailor Ceres whispered tilting her head to the side. "And the future." Mars nodded.
"Sailor Moon will not let your mission fail..." Mars told them lifting her fist to her chest. "We must give our strength to her." Then she turned around and exited the office, and both the two crows, and The Quartet ran after her. Mars stood in the hallway where it split directions and she revealed an ofuda in her hand and her eyes closed as she attempted to figure out the correct way. "Rin, Pyou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen!" Her eyes opened and she threw the ward through the air. "Akuyro Taisan!" The ward whipped around the corner and the group followed after it. They had just taken the first steps onto the staircase leading downward when Sailor Mar's foot fell through the floor and darkness surrounded them: letting them drop through the surrounding void with dark laughter all around them. "Sailor Moon!" Mars screamed out as they fell and her power surged upwards.
"This can't be how our mission ends... Not after we had just found the first clue as to what it really is..." Sailor Ceres thought as they continued to fall and a hateful power began to tear away at her skin. "Sailor Moon!" She yelled in her mind as she flinched from the pain filling her body as it tried to rip her apart. She had to believe in what Sailor Mars had said! She would not let their mission fail! "Sailor Moon!" She screamed and the ball on her chest illuminated with light and it removed itself from her as it flew through the air after Sailor Mars' power. Her head fell backwards and she could just make out her sisters' screaming out the same name, their only hope, Sailor Moon. "Please don't give up on us! Please... Fight!"
