"Thinking or P.O.V"

As two blue-haired women ate at the table, in silence it had been one-year since Shizuru. The heartache of everything pulled Natsuki into a depression; it had her wonder was anything within the relationship true. The woman before her, had scorned her within the past, but she thanked her in a way. Although Saeko showed up with child services Natsuki yelled and kicked with all of her fury, Saeko looked with her warmest smiles. She remembered everything just as if it were yesterday.

The twisting of the key within the door had alerted Natsuki getting home from school, to find Shizuru not home Natsuki waited. Even though Shizuru was with her father, a text message had been sent saying sorry. With the false excuse of, she was staying at her parents to go over something with her father; Natsuki foolishly believed the text. The day of Friday came she waited as the door opened, with a smile of Fridays test scores in hand for Shizuru, Natsuki was prepared. Instead of her red eyes full of joy, she saw pair identical eyes similar to her own, and two people with kind false smiles. Natsuki's mind raced a mile a minute as she felt the need to throw up once again. As she looked at the badges, of the two she noticed that they both said child services on it.

Shizuru where is Shizuru!

"Hello, Natsuki I'm Mr. Ishida and this is Mrs. Tanaki as your know this is yo-"

"Fuck that shit that's not my mother! What the fuck kinda set up is this shit!"

"Now please Natsuki we need you to calm down." As the man approached her, he met a left hook making him fall to the ground. Something about the situation made, her think about her times within the alleys that she once lived in when perverted men would try to lure her in.

"Natsuki…"

"No Ms. Kuga this is normal especially with her…situation."

"Situation you know what lady fuck you! I'm fine here where's Shizuru!" As Saeko looked down casted at Natsuki's question, she put on her best face. Something seemed off at the act and Natsuki knew about the act with a glare she let Saeko speak.

"Natsuki…the reason why we are here is because I came with a court order to get you."

"Court order…I'm not going with you do these assholes know you were a drug addict that left me!"

"Ex-drug addict now allow me to explain, we are aware of your mothers past, we dug into all of that. As well as we dug into Shizuru Fujino's past. With us processing within the child services department we have decided to look in her favor of this case," spoke Mrs. Tanaki.

"How do you fucking know she'll get back on drugs?"

"Her record states that she has been clean for five years right after, a bad overdose that sent her to the hospital. When she came into her right mind, she fought with her sobriety and went to school to be a teacher. As well as we have periodic checks to see your progress, Natsuki we have your best interest at heart," spoke the older woman.

"Best interest that isn't shit, this fucking monster of a woman left me! She is a fucking junkie, I'm not moving with a fucking junkie! For all we know she might sell me off to her drug dealer for the debt she owes."

"I would never do that Natsuki! Come on let's talk this out I'm your mother."

"No the fuck you're not!" At this point Natsuki's long sleeved arms were covering her ears as she cried, her eyes closed shut to the lies.

"Regardless of the situation Ms. Fujino does not want you in her care anymore. She gave us her key to enter the area, that is a clear sign of her disconnection to this case," supplied Ms. Tanaki.

"T-That's not true it can't be!" As Natsuki put a hand to her mouth, the older woman tossed the key towards Natsuki's feet. Looking down at the item, she was crushed the betrayal as clear as day. At this point tears blurred Natsuki's eyes as the bile came up in her throat. As she ran towards the bathroom she threw up as tears, blurred her vision as she passed out.

Since then Natsuki awoke within the hospital, with the news that grounded her life forever. Along with the pain and the sadness, she ran back to the house, which Shizuru and Natsuki shared only to find it abandoned. It wasn't until later when she was within the area she found out that the place was sold a part of her died that day. It was like looking in a dream, it was a dream of lust nothing more nothing less Saeko's words had hit there mark. Now she sat at seventeen as she ate in silence, Saeko had been true to her word about never leaving her and never going back to the streets.

However, the fear was there it would always be there. With every cruel word, that Natsuki said Saeko had been patient until one day all Natsuki's rage had burnt out. There was a single part that existed of Shizuru and Natsuki's time and it was the very thing that settled the teens rage.

"H-How was granny and mommy's day?" The two looked over at the small one year old; ask she had two chopsticks in her hand as she tried to pick up her noodles. As the two smiled at the child, the silence was defeated, at Natsuki's smile.

"As always school sucked because your granny was there." As Saeko played along with Natsuki's jab, she opened her mouth in a loud gape to speak.

"Shizuka, don't listen to your mother and by the way school was nice."

"Yeah for you it was nice you gave out F's all day!"

"B-But, did momma study?" Having a pout, Natsuki looked towards Shizuka, as she took after the woman of her past. She contained the same looks as Shizuru, the only thing that remained different were Shizuka's eyes they were the color of all Kuga women. Only being one the doctors discovered that her IQ was far above a normal child's her age. Only talking at one was the first step, however she still had trouble with certain things such as picking up chopsticks it was adorable to the eyes of many.

This for Natsuki, and Saeko was something of complete laughter; however, with Shizuru's disappearance it still left an ache that burned and festered. Ruffling her child's hair Natsuki smiled as she looked over towards Saeko with a playful glare before speaking.

"I did study your grandmother writes the questions to hard, how am I supposed to know whose Aristotle?"

"Easy momma he's a Greek philosopher. I don't know w-what he's done, but your books said he's very important momma."

"She's reading my textbooks!"

"Well more like she takes them to school, since you have a knack for throwing them away in the trash," supplied Saeko.

"Sweetie did you save those books for momma," asked Natsuki nervously. As Natsuki looked over towards her daughter, a smile came on her face much like Shizuru's when she was happy. A pang hit her heart in the worst way when her daughter smiled at her like that.

"I did save them c-cause b-books should be loved!" Sighing in defeat Natsuki was at a loss for words at the one year olds admission.

"Yeah you're right, but guess who should be loved."

"Who," Shizuka's eyes lightened at the thought.

"You…" Scooping up, the child in her arms she lifted the as if she were a helicopter, as she giggled Saeko laughed at the action. Things had been hard for the teen when she found out about her pregnancy, at first she tried to run away to tell Shizuru of the news. With her texts no longer reaching service, it was a lost cause giving birth to Shizuka was the best thing to help her through her times. She knew that her mother was there to take the credit as well. Natsuki knew because of her dislike for Shizuru it would have been an easier route to throw Natsuki out along with Natsuki's disrespectful actions.

The older woman still did not turn a blind eye she was there for every appointment, and for every flaw and nervous action. Saeko was there with a smile for every occasion, Natsuki felt healed, but when Shizuka came, everything fell into place. Taking off from school Saeko knew that school was something she needed she talked to the principal to pull strings for her to stay.

After everything, Natsuki could understand her mother a little more for the situations at hand. Not wanting to take anything for granted Natsuki found a job at a local fish market, the work was hard but it worked with her school schedule. Despite Saeko's protests to have her stay at home and finish, school Natsuki was too stubborn to submit. She knew with her turning eighteen she would soon have to find a place for her and Shizuka. Natsuki didn't want to stay any longer although she healed from her past anger, she still couldn't forget.

AN: Hello folks now before you talk shit on Saeko; I want you to understand Saeko's level from a mother's perspective. I am not a mother, but I would like to think if I were a mother, I would have done the same thing. Therefore, I'm guessing with this new arc it might take another thirty chapters this is the emotional part to the arc.
