Location: One of the rooms in the igloo
Time: Noon
Percy groaned. B, C and M were idiots. Why did they search for Ogygia in a canoe when they could just easily ask help from Hestia or Mars to maroon them to Calypso's island?
"But where's the fun in that, eh Percy?" M said. Percy shook his head. He looked at the iris message in front of him. To a son of Poseidon, it looked more than a canoe in the middle of the sea.
"I reckon that you're still at least a day away," He tells them
"A day? That's good then, maybe we could spend time with them first then, please? We'll get back to you in a week," B said smiling slightly, a hopeful glint in his eyes.
"No, guys, I need you back here within the morrow," Percy said and B looked disappointed
"Aw, man, why? I mean, we went through all the trouble of tracking them down—"
"Thalia and Nico got lost in the Shades or something. I don't know. They don't want to tell us anything until tomorrow. They're calling our council," Percy said quickly that shut them up.
"Then we're—"
"Yes, go and take back the council members that are with them back here. But don't come back together. The hunters still haven't really grasp us all that well so they wouldn't really notice that there's an additional in our numbers. I don't want them to know of them yet."
B looked excited. M pats him in the back.
"And the rest of them?" C asked.
"Relocate," Percy said.
"Where?" M asked
"One of our bases" Percy said
"Which one?"
"One of the beyonds. Any of the beyonds"
Location: Main igloo of the Pack
Floor: Top floor
Time: [Next day] Early Morning (Apollo wasn't even up yet)
In the simplistic cosy house design (ignoring the fact that it had multiple floors) of the igloo, the top floor was far more elegant than the rest. It looked like magical war council with fourteen regal seats. Percy and L occupied the two seats on the top head. Opposite them, Thalia sat at the other end, though the seat beside her was empty.
Nico sat beside Percy. B sat beside L. V and J were present. So were M and C. "How much longer till they get here?" Percy said at the same time cloaked figures entered the room gracefully.
"Thy patience is shortening," the one who led them said and sat beside Thalia. Percy groaned.
"I'm giddy, can you blame me?" he said grinning.
"Considering that we aren't as giddy as you but have ADHD as well, then yes, we can blame you" said another one of them
Percy groaned again. You can never win with them, can you?
"How are the others?" V inquired
"Mm, fine fine, but they miss you Thals"
"Aw, and they don't miss us?!" C exclaimed
One of them smirked and then said, "What's to miss?"
J barked a laugh, "how bout all this, Svor?" he said gesturing from his head to toe and was responded with a smack.
"Why the council call?" asked again by the person sitting beside Thalia. "You need our help? My, you guys are getting weak"*
"Hey!"
One of them snorted. "Oh please, you were caught by the hunters. You are getting weak"
"And I'm surprised you haven't found a way to escape the Olympian's scrutiny yet. You've lost your touch" another of them scoffed
"Of course we found a way! We can just disappear on the face of the earth as easily as you guys!" groaned J
"Then why haven't y—oh, you've grown fond of the hunters, haven't you?" it was spoken with a slight mockery, slight amusement, and a hint of accusation.
V snorted, "For your information, Thals is part of the hunt, and besides, we were ordered by our patron to stay"
"Excuses—"
"Even if it was true, what's wrong with tha—" C was cut short by the fifth of them to enter
"I could make a list of reasons why. You're just getting soft 'cuz you lot don't have to hide anymore, but we know how that will end, don't we? You're forgetting yourse—"
"Hey, take that back. We're not forgetting ourse—!" M said
"I said—"
"Enough." L said in a calm collected manner.
"We didn't call you to us to bicker." Percy muttered and said, "We're here for a meeting for the love of gods. Thalia and Nico here have something to tell us, care to start?" at the same time he threw a knife that embedded itself deep on the wood of the table in between the place Thalia rested her hands.
Thalia raised an eyebrow. She grabbed the hunting knife. "Thanks, I was looking for that" she said grabbing the knife
"We weren't lost in the Shade" Nico said rather puffed that any one of them would think he of all people would get lost in it. What? Being able to navigate the Shades was one of the only accomplishments Nico was proud of.
"Then how come you two returned half dead?"
"Percy told us to track down the scrolls essence"
"And how was it?" Percy asked
"We felt a tug, but we ended up back to an island" Thalia said looking pointedly at Percy. "The whole island looked like a cliff with a cave underneath. Nico felt a tunnel within the rocks"—Percy raised an eyebrows there—"And we followed the tunnel. And then it led us to this weird chamber—"
"The whole chamber was made of energy"
Everyone was paying attentively now. The whole room was with tension—(well, the fact that the fourteen people inside the room were the fourteen most powerful demigods in history did help the tension).
"Were the scrolls in there?" Percy asked urgently
"Yes" Thalia answered at the same time Nico said "No"
"Which is it?!" Percy asked alarmed.
"The whole room kept sucking out our energy, ya know" Thalia said skirting around
"Yeeah, we were lucky we snapped out of it and gathered enough will power to get ou—"
"Nico," Percy said as if to tell him to get to the chase
"Alright alright. We definitely destroyed any trace of the scrolls" Nico answered
Percy could here a 'but' in there. He raised an eyebrow
"But what we had was a copy"
"Oh, so it was a co—WAIT WHAT?"
"The secret room contained the original Scrolls of kaqetipota"
Location: Mars's Palace; Olympus
Time: Early Morning
"We trust you to be able to be the one to tell the boy" an ancient voice said
Mars groaned. "Can't you be the one to explain it?" Hestia asked hesitantly.
"We have done all we can, daughter of Rhea"
"I have done all I can to delay,"
"Lachesis—" Hestia said
"Afterall, once I have destined it, there is nothing else to do"
"Clotho—"
"Only prolong"
"And to end"
"Atropos—" Mars tried to say but they had disappeared.
Mars looked at Hestia defeatedly. "Well, nephew," Hestia said. "I guess Percy couldn't do one more impossible, eh?" Mars chuckled as if he was about to fade—trust him, he knew how that felt.
"Yes, after all. It is more than impossible to stop the end of the Fifth Age"
