Kizana Sunobu

Spotlight

I love the lights.

I love the spotlight.

I love basking in the glow of the audience.

Them cheering,

Screaming my name,

Out loud.

The applause rings in my ears,

It's giving me a sense of adrenaline.

A feeling that nothing else can give.

How do I describe it?

There truly is nothing like it,

People lining up for miles,

Waiting for the show to go on.

I cherish every of these moments.

I refuse to share.

The stage is mine,

And mine alone.

The sensation that performing gives me,

The crowd begging for an encore,

I have proved myself,

Worthy of the lights,

And nobody else,

Can say otherwise.

Soon,

My time will come.

And there will nobody else to marvel at,

But me.

Our drama club is putting on a play.

Perfect.

My time to shine.

Nobody else got the main role,

But me.

I'm waiting,

In my beautiful dress,

Made of flowing lush fabrics,

For the time to start.

And as the curtain rises,

I can see the excitement,

Of fellow classmates.

Truly,

They must be taken aback.

I am quite the charmer.

I see him.

He's surprised.

He's interested.

Now would be my chance,

To woo him into my world,

To confess my love in the form of this stunning art.

My throat is dry.

I clear it.

I've perfectly memorized my lines.

It's time to say them out loud.

I've only opened my mouth,

When it happens.

I would've never noticed,

Until I feel a sandbag,

Press against my head,

And keep falling,

Taking me along with it.

Stars dance around me.

And the audience screams in horror.

They're not expecting this.

I have to admit,

I wasn't either.

Yet,

As the world I knew and loved,

Begin to grow faint,

The shining light,

Staring down at me,

Has yet to die out.

It's only fitting,

That that girl who loved performing in the spotlight,

Dies in the spotlight.

Only Kizana could make her own death more dramatic than it already is.

I plan to do Asu, one of my favorite rivals, next! So stay tuned for her!
