Aurora's POV

"No one messes with my family especially my parents" I growled as Hotohori cleaned off the scabs from my face.

"You did well tonight my love" my mate told me. He finished his task before placing his forehead against mine. "I've never been so proud you"

I closed my eyes and enjoyed this intimate moment between us. But in my mind I wondered how Nuriko, Tama, Tasuki, and Chichiri were faring. I also was concerned for Temeraire and the rest of Konan. I said a prayer to Suzaku to watch over everyone and Konan.

My cell phone suddenly rang and I stood up from the bed and went to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Aurora it's Yui"

My eyes widened at hearing her voice.

"Yui we need to talk" I told her. Hotohori eyes widened when he heard me say Yui's name. "This fighting has to end"

"Is Suboshi alright?" she asked.

"I'm sorry Yui but he passed away"

I decided not to tell her I had been responsible for his death but I had to protect my parents and mate. Yui was quiet and I knew she was upset.

"I'll be at my school tomorrow meet me there at the lunch hour"

She then hung up and I ended the call from my end. Dad knocked on the bedroom door and I called out for him to come in. He and Mom had a serious look on their faces.

"We need to talk to you two"

My father was one who didn't get serious often but now he was and it had to be a good reason.

The Next Day.

I decided to wear my black cosplay outfit to meet Yui. I signed in at her school as a visitor and met up with her on the roof. She looked like hell no doubt from lack of sleep.

"Can we sit down and talk I'm feeling a tired"

"Sure of course"

She thanked me before going to her knees. I returned to her the ribbon that went on her school uniform.

"I guess Nakago is the only ally I have left now"

"Yui please listen to me" I began. "Nakago is not your ally when you first entered the book those men in Kutou never touched you, you were saved before they could do such a thing, Nakago god damned lied to you and convinced you it was my fault in order to make me your enemy, had I known you were in the book, I would have returned and be by your side, because of his manipulation your heart turned to hatred towards me"

"It's all lies!" Yui shouted. "Your lying"

"I'm not lying Nakago only wants the power of Seiryuu for himself"

I then drew out the letter Dad had given me. I held it out to Yui.

"There's more read this it's an old letter written by Einosuke Okuda the original owner of The Universe of the Four Gods, both copies the one you found and mine, the letter was written for his friend Mr. Osugi"

Yui took the letter and with her hands shaking she read the content.

"Osugi's daughter Suzuno was into the book next and she became the Priestess of Byyako, she wasn't devoured by Byyako due to her strong will, Yui if your heart is strong and true you won't be devoured by the beast god, you have to believe me on this"

"It's not true" Yui began. "I don't believe you!"

She then took off in tears and I could only hope she would be okay. But I knew it would only be a matter of time until Nakago no doubt would enter this world. I left the school and headed home. Dad was reading the book while Mom was checking her emails.

"What's going on in the book now?" I asked Dad.

"Nakago just killed the Kutou Emperor" he answered before looking up to me. "Did you tell her?"

"I did and she took off upset but I think I was able to get through to Yui finally"

"You did what you could kid" Dad told me before giving me a wink. I returned with a wink of my own before going to see Hotohori was up to. To my surprise Hotohori was back in his armor.

"What's going on?" I asked my beloved.

"Nothing love I was just seeing if my armor was still in tact"

"Yeah right" I said not believing his words. Hotohori sighed.

"I will eventually return to the book Aurora and you won't be able to come with me" He then looked to the door. "You have a good life here and a family who loves you Aurora, I belong there as you belong here"

He then looked out the window.

"I'm glad I had a chance to see your world when I had the chance, I understand what your life is like here, this is your home"

"I can't just exist without you!" I yelled feeling tears coming to my eyes.

Hotohori then looked to me.

"If our love for each other is truly destiny then maybe there's another me in this world somewhere and fate will bring us other together again"

"Our love is deeper than you think!" I said before throwing myself against him. "We're mates for life and Suzaku himself made this union happen! It can't just be thrown away, I don't want another you in this life I want the man who bears my mark! I want you Hotohori!"

I let the tears loose and they flowed down my face in rivers. Hotohori hugged me tightly before capturing my lips into a passionate kiss.

I am yours and your are mine Hotohori told me through the mate bond.

From this day to our last day I responded.

I wanted for us to remain like this but two familiar life forces made me open my eyes as did Hotohori. Nakago and Tamahome were in this world!

"Aurora! Hotohori! We got big trouble!" Dad shouted from the living room.

I opened the bedroom door and Hotohori followed me.

"Nakago is here and Tamahome is too! Nakago is with Yui right now and Tamahome is looking for her"

"Damn it!" I snapped. I didn't hesitate to snag Flame of Suzaku and I ran out the door. Dad and Hotohori protested but I would not let another one of my warriors die, especially not Tamahome!

Tamahome's POV

I knew I was in Aurora and Yui's world as soon as I arrived. But I didn't have time to sight see I had to find the woman I loved. Following my heart I found Yui and when I grabbed her wrist she fought me.

"Yui calm down its me!" I told her.

"Tamahome it's really you" she said.

I kissed her which was something I should have done a long time ago. It was a short one but it was long enough to show how I felt for her. Suddenly Nakago unleashed his life force at me and I pulled Yui down with me. When the smoke cleared from the blast did said blonde appear.

"Nakago!"

"Will you please hand over Lady Yui Tamahome?"

"Why did you come here to this world you monster? Why don't you leave Aurora and Yui alone?"

But before Nakago could reply Aurora landed before me. Her wings disappeared and she held Flame of Suzaku. She then turned to me.

"Sorry I'm late bro"

"Aurora" I said.

"Ah Aurora I was hoping to see you" Nakago called out to her.

Aurora got onto a fighting stance.

"Tama keep Yui safe while I'll deal with Nakago"

About time Tamahome kissed Yui!
