ReNdErMaN: I suppose that's a positive review, but I'm not sure that what you wanted from this.

Fantasy1290: That you for your reviews. However, I did find something odd from the chapter 3 review:

"Having him have his first opponent be someone who is totally indifferent or perhaps to some extent even revels in the killing of another pokemon…"

I did not mean his words to be as if he liked death or even civilized pokémon battles, but merely as someone who's seen or a the very least comprehends death. He said he was willing to leave the pokémon out of the fight.

I have come to realize that I should have tried other point of views more often to tell the story, given where I plan on having it heading. A major character is quite undeveloped in the context of the story. Haitus isn't over, but I had to do this unplanned bit. I did try to write a story for Ryan separately, and I may have to start over with that.

Ryan did not like being blindfolded. He did not like being separated from his pokemon either. He did not like having his hands tied, or having his fate decided by others. It was either justice or irony that he was simultaneously in all this position.

He walk down the paths. They must have known what he did to the Team Rocket leader, but do they know about the other three Rockets' death he caused. Shouldn't they realized that all of this was in their interest

"I am the First Chief Aries. It is my duty to inform you of the proceedings. You shall not interrupt the judges, or the chiefs. If one judge finds you guilty, punishment will be exacted. The chiefs are here to enforce law and guide the judges. You may not see the judges until the reading of the verdict."

"I heard about the Twelve Chiefs, but who are the judges?" Ryan asked.

"You are not privy to that knowledge," he replied

"So what are my chances?"

"No one has ever been found innocent, but these are strange times."

"I sort of question your justice system. Why is no one ever found innocent? Wouldn't it be better for a guilty man to go free than to condemn an innocent man to death?

"Human justice is founded on fallibility so it does not compare," said the chief.

He removed he blindfold. There was a circle of Xatu standing around him, and they were clear the chiefs, although Ryan noticed one spot was missing so there were only eleven chiefs. They have the ability to see the future better than any other pokemon. It makes since that they would be considered the wisest pokemon in Johto. Beyond them was a psychically enforced darkness, making this room their own realm of existence.

A female chief opened up a scroll and read, "You have been charge with the enslavement of six pokemon, the corrosion of sex with four pokemon of the six with three of those attempts leading to consummation, and the negligent death of two pokemon. However, those deaths were the results of a pretty nasty conspiracy which you mistook for misfortune, and you avenged their death by killing four members of the human organization know as Team Rocket. It is clear from the investigation that you we not negligent with your pokemon's life.

A conspiracy? There were more people involved?

"However, your actions were motivated out of helping pokemon, corrupted as they may be. No trainer had stood in this room for 1300 years, and no human has stood here for 120 years. You have built up a team for the propose of subverting the trainer system, yet you use it yourself. You have managed to make great changes in pokemon's lives, such as freeing them from brothels, and defeating one of the cruelest organizations in the world. Then you come freely to us in hopes that your reputation will grant you an audience. You have a philosophy that the ends justify the means. "

Ryan waited for the phrase, "how do you plea?" before realizing that it wasn't ever coming. The Xatu continued speaking.

"Upon further examination, we know that you're a disturbed individual. You currently have a fear of sex created by a series of bad experiences during and after such encounters. This fear is inconsistent, and you continue to capture only female pokemon for a variety of selfish reasons. Even as you claim you have good intention, your heart in not in the right place. You hate this world more than you respect pokemon."

"Don't the results matter more than my intentions?" Ryan protested.

Another Xuta announced, "You are not the one to bring change to this world! If you want to argue on virtue of the results, then you already are guilty."

"You can't know that" Ryan said.

"We see the future," another chief said, "You do not have that destiny."

"Then what will change the world? When will pokemon finally be free of tyranny?"

"We do not know," yet another one said, "Our power is not at its finest. One of our own defected so our vision is limited. We could previously see centuries ahead, however, the future has been change and we cannot perceive it well."

Ryan turned to that Xatu, "but you didn't answer my question. When and how is there world going to change? When were your previous estimates? You must have some idea when it will come."

"There was no prediction for such a change," another said, "only minor changes."

"Gemini, that's not entire true," said an adjacent chief, "It's been know that circumstances always improved. This has been the trend for history, and this was foreseen for the future as well."

"So you never have any plan for change. You were just going to let the world stay the way it is," Ryan said.

"It is not our place to decide the future."

"Anybody can decide the future," Ryan said.

"Our power may have weakened, but we still have great foresight. You will not bring about the change you wish."

Gemini then said, "You are strong, and you wish to change this world, then there are higher powers that you could consult."

"You can't mean the legendaries, it's best not to be involved with them," the oldest chief said.

"Ho-oh is our common enemy if we accept the liberation of the captured pokemon as our goal," Gemini said.

"Legendaries can be defeated," Ryan said.

"You plan to walk very dangerous ground, but it's time for judgment," Aries said.

Meanwhile in the Ruins of Alph, Ho-oh was hovering over a glowing light.

"Willaim, I sense you coming."

William and three other pokemon appeared.

"Where are Silenna and Mortimer?" William asked.

"They clearly did not wish to return to this life," Ho-oh said.

"Well, that is an unfortionate comeback. Have our targets came back?"

"No, and I have no way of knowing when, where, or if they are coming back," Ho-oh said lower her feet to the ground.

"We do have other targets in the world. We've lost too much time to stop her," William said.
