Chapter 33: Confrontation
The alarm going off was what gain his attention.
Bursting through the double door, he grabbed his clipboard and went towards the control panel. Switching the alarm off, he glanced to the many rows of lights above to see one of them blinking brightly. His face scrunched up in slight confusion. Turning sharply, he stormed off to the back.
As he continued to go deeper into the lab, the sound of a machine roaring to life reached his ears. In the back of his mind, he knew what was in the back of the lab, but having a feeling where the noise was coming from, left him puzzled.
He quickened his pace to get to the bottom of this. Finally coming to a stop, now reaching his destination, he now stood in front of an enormous capsule. Well this was a surprised. This experiment was put on hiatus due to the many messy and hazardous complications. He remembered pulling the plug until he was sure he had gathered all the correct information, and being that no one but himself was only able to access this lab, left him to ask himself of how the machine turn on?
The glass doors of the small capsule held an enormous crack in the center, fog exiting and engulfing around him. The alarm went off one again in the front but he paid no mind to that. Soon the glass door slowly slid open, the fog rising greatly.
The old man was silent. He held his breath, his fingers crossing in hope. Thousands and thousands of failed projects, one after another, and he didn't understand what the issues were. He had a living experiment that he could always tinker with. He studied and created the same, only to be let down. And being that his side projects didn't seem to be starting up any time soon, he busied himself with his other untouched experiments. But this experiment, was different.
This was as far he got in using a Human.
This was a prototype. A practice dummy for when he create's his secret weapon, it would be done without mistakes. And having a practice model that has yet to make progress..it only did so much.
At this point, he only cared 50 % if this experiment worked. It wasn't like he never failed in creating something different. Because he have.
At this time, he considered everyone an opponent. A rival. He was not as smart and talented as Dr. Brief or his daughter, but he wouldn't dare put himself in the same category of his rival: Gero. But with him creating what he couldn't get the full concept of, angered him to no end. He tired mimicking his creation with no success. But being that he's gone, it put him at a higher rank. And in a few months or so, his ideas would soar. Now was the time to perfect on his creations.
If this one fails, at least it won't be his own blood he's screwing around with. When that time comes, he want that kid to be the definition of perfection.
Waiting nearly for two minutes, and nothing, he swore as loud as he could, and threw his clipboard as hard as he could on the floor. He was about to Call it quits when a small pale hand grasped the cushion edge of the capsule, gripping softly.
Turning around on hearing faint movement, his eye's widen. "Yes!" He jumped around the lab like a child on Christmas day. "Rise! Rise!" He cheered on. Just with his invention coming to live brought him hope. The Boy won't know what hit him!
He couldn't help but feel- No. Know this was the first step to progress!
Up on the higher levels, stood his Daughter. Mariko shook her head, disgusted. This was her Father. The man her Mother had married. She didn't understand what her Mother seen in him because at this point, he wasn't her Father.
This was taking thing's too far. There had been many people she seen come and go, screaming. Becoming one of his failed experiments, that would never succeed, and watching them being tossed out as if they was nothing more than a piece of scrap metal. Some barely even made it out alive, and the one's tossed out were the lucky one's.
That hurt her just to watch, and made her sick to her stomach. She couldn't imagine her becoming something like his experiments. Who know's, he probably already experimented on my in my sleep. It was sad that people couldn't tell their own futures because if she could, she would be able to see what her Father has planned for her and Natsume.
She didn't know if there was ever a limit for Scientist, but this was extreme.
~~~~~~~~n.n
Bra yawned loudly as she floated down the stairs. She was surprised she was even up this early. She had talked to Pan all night, even though she was doing most of the talking. She didn't know exactly how long she talked, but when she took a breath to continue, Pan was already fast asleep in the chair. And being the good friend she was, she simply carried her into the next room before preparing for bed herself, all the while wearing a small smile on her face. She honestly believe that things would go back to the way they were before. It would be a long while until they get on good terms again, but she would wait. She didn't doubt their strong bond of friendship, and whether Pan know's it or not, she was not the type to give up.
Entering the kitchen, she halted in the air and blinked twice, not believing her eyes. "T-Trunks?!"
Trunks lifted his gaze from his Cereal and stared at her. The dark circles under his eyes was noticed. His body structure was stiff, his hair was unruly, and he looked pissed.
Coming out of her state of shock, she quickly rushed to his side and slap her hand on his forehead. He groaned in annoyance. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine!" He sneered, throwing her hand away.
Bra crossed her arm's, pouting. "Doesn't seem like you're fine." She eyed him more closely. "What's up with you?"
He gripped the spoon more tightly, bending the small piece of metal. Dare he even say it? He was surprised his nosy Sister was left in the dark. "Didn't you hear them? Better question is: Didn't you see them? He had his hand's all over her, kissing her!"
"Who?"
If looks could kill.. "Who else, Bra."
It took a moment to realize who he was talking about and her mouth dropped open in a squeal. "No way!"
Trunks threw the already destroyed spoon down, cracking the bowl. "That's nothing to be proud of!" He growled. He grabbed the nearest thing- his cereal bowl, and threw it against the wall, many shards flying everywhere. He gripped a fist full of hair, trying to control his raging emotions. He let out a sarcastic laugh. "That kid is really pushing me. He really is and I won't be satisfied until I kill him! I want him dead! I want him to suffer!"
Bra barely managed to jump out of the way in time to avoid the shards, but she wasn't prepared to get attack with his release. "Trunks, just calm down." Bra said, backing away towards the doorway. She was at a lost here. She didn't know how to channel his emotions nor did she know what to say.
The words her Mother spoke just the night before entered her mind. It wasn't said how far along they had been bonded, but by the looks of it, seem's like it's pretty deep, and doesn't seem like things would be easing down any time soon. The opposite in fact.
"Trunks-"
"What's going on in here?"
Bra turned around to see her Mother. Bulma tightened her robe before stepping inside. She gasped at the sight of her Son, but Bra held out an arm, halting her from reaching him.
"Brat, calm down. You'll see her later on today."
Trunks turned around and glared at his Father. "Did you not see what happened last night?"
"Should I care?" He pushed Bra's arm away and entered the Kitchen, with Bulma in tow.
"Pan kissed Natsume," Bra informed the two.
Both Vegeta and Bulma turned around. "What?"
"He kissed her," Trunks corrected. "And she didn't even fight back." He ran his hand through his hair, messing it up even more. He hate to say it but he was disappointed. No. He was angry. He was feeling everything but pleased at this moment. Nervous, tired, depressed, you name it. He was loosing this battle to an android. He couldn't be most upset with anyone but himself for letting this go on for too long. Something needs to be done about this and soon. He will not just sit back and let some punk bastard take his Mate and do nothing about it. He don't tolerate losing to someone who just entered the picture not too long ago. He won't tolerate losing, Period. That hurts his ego, it made him feel like he wasn't on top, and it left him looking like a Bitch. He was not losing this war. He will do everything to gain her attention, her affection, and her respect for him once more.
"Brat, sit down. There's something more important you need to be focusing on."
Trunks glared at the man, but complied.
Bulma didn't even question the broken glass on the floor. Hearing news like that would anger anyone. Hitting the button near the sink, a small robot came bursting out from under the sink and went towards the mess.
Not beating around the bush, Vegeta set a hard stare on the boy. "Have you taken the time to think about what was said about the bond between you and Pan?"
"Yes."
"And your aware of the state your in."
"No."
Vegeta frowned at his Son. "The hell you mean no. Your dying."
"Vegeta!"
"Aren't you feeling weak?"
"He's been out for over a weak, of course he's still weak!"
"Exactly my point, he had a weeks rest! But being that this bond is becoming one sided strongly, he should be feeling more of the effects of it by now."
Trunks held his head with his hand, still gripping. "What's the effects?"
"More possessive, Controlling, becoming weak to the point near death; the sudden urge to mark her." Vegeta waved off. "There's more but seeing as your not at that level yet, it's safer to keep it hidden so you won't get any ideas."
By now, he looked broken. His mind was running a thousand miles, half of his brain wanting to take action, while the other desperately trying to control that wild side within him. He know's she's scared of him. But she know's herself that he can't do much with her rejecting every effort he makes. And now his Father was saying there was more affects that are worse. He growled lowly, hating his next words. "..What can I do to make her mine?"
This peaked Vegeta's interest and he didn't hide his smirk. "Oh, so your done denying the fact that you want her more than just a friend?"
"Yes."
"And the fact that you two are bonded?"
Trunks rolled his eye's. "Yes."
"And the fact that your losing this battle between you and the Android?"
"Yes, yes, Yes!" He growled. "Just tell me how to fucking fix it!"
Bulma came up behind Vegeta and smacked him on the arm. "Trunks, language! And you! Stop messing with him and help him." She snapped.
Vegeta gave her a look before speaking. "Get on her good side, but I doubt she'll let you get close to her this time. But before we get into that, there's something else you might want to know. It involves Pan." Vegeta informed. "Over a week ago, there was an incident. Your sister, Goten, Pan, Marron, That Android, that human girl and two others went to the School. Apparently they was fighting against some shit that killed your girlfriend."
"Marron's dead?" He looked to his Mom to confirm the news. "How long have I been out?"
"A week." Bulma answered.
"It's a miracle Pan even survived." Bra said above a whisper. "While everyone else was trapped outside, her and Marron was the only ones stuck inside with that thing."
Trunks stood up from his seat. "I need to see her!"
"Brat, Sit down. You're not going anywhere."
"Like hell I'm staying here!"
"Language." Bulma warned.
Trunks glared at his Mother, but doing so, he got a closer look at her face. "What happened to your face?"
Bulma raised a hand, and flinched once her fingers grazed her skin. An already forming mark from last night was beginning to finally set. "Gohan and I got into a disagreement, nothing I couldn't handle."
"He put his hand's on you?"
"It's alright, Trunks. I seen it coming."
"He has no right!"
"What we need to focus on is finding a way to get Pan with you." She glared.
"I think we should just leave her alone."
All heads turned and the Kitchen fell silent. The tension was slowly growing.
Knowing full well all eye's was now on her, she kept her head down and glared at the tiled floor.
Trunks slammed his fisy down on the table, outraged. "Who's side are you on?" He barked. He was itching to punch her for even saying that.
"I'm too on the Brat's side." Vegeta spoke, earning a look from his wife.
"I'm on Pan's side." Bra stated confidently. She met her brother's glare head on. "I already messed thing's up with her once. I'm not doing it again."
"I'm your Brother!"
"Who's acting like a complete idiot! After yesterday, I could tell she was happy with Natsume, and if they aren't seeing each other yet, it's likely that they're heading in that direction, and we shouldn't interfere with them!"
Bulma threw her hand's up. "You can't be serious, Bra. I explained everything to you yesterday. Do you not understand what I was saying?"
"No I got what you said." Bra answered, throwing a glare her Mother's way. "But what, so we're just going to ruin her life? Her happiness for him?"
"What about your Brother's life!" Bulma yelled. "He's going to die without her, Bra!" She couldn't believe her Daughter at this moment. Did she not care for her Brother's life?
Tears was already forming in her eyes. She couldn't believe her Mother would ruin someones life, their happiness for the sake of someone else. She was raised to not become selfish, and it was Trunks' fault for letting his opportunity to be with her slip through his fingers. It was his fault, and his fault alone!
She couldn't even imagine putting herself into Pan's situation. The fact that others; her close friends and family going against her and her wishes, not giving a damn of what she wanted, or what she felt. Making decisions for and without her permission as if she didn't know better. That sounded awful! Just to think Chichi or Goku, the most loving people in the group wanting to force their son on her..
She didn't even want to think about the other possibilities of how things could have gone, with her being the one to have competition and they was all for the other girl and not her. She couldn't handle either situations.
"I-I Can't." Her voice wavered greatly, and she couldn't hold back the tears any longer. She turned sharply, preparing to leave, but stopped at the doorway. She didn't turn around, to disgusted to even look at them. "Do what you want.. Force yourself onto her. But I will do everything I can to stop you both.. I'm staying true to my word. I'm on Pan's side with this whether you like it or not."
Bulma crossed her arm's over her chest, shaking her head sadly as she watch her Daughter leave. "The nerve of her, choosing Natsume over you.." She let out a sarcastic laugh. "Whatever she hopes to accomplish will never work."
"And even if she did succeed in bringing them together, it won't last. He's not a Saiyan and I know for a fact she doesn't like him. She couldn't!"
"Pan truly loves you. All she needs a little push in the right direction."
"Are you two done convincing yourself?"
They both glared at Vegeta, who was completely unfazed by it. He looked annoyed, drumming his fingers against the table. "You realized you just lost yet another person." He shook his head at the two. "You're not even worthy to be her mate."
"I am worthy!"
Vegeta didn't hold back on his smirk. "What could you possibly give her? She already has protection from her Family and that Android! She appears to be more happy than you've ever made her, and let's not forget how you scare the Brat nonstop."
"Vegeta, leave him alone." Bulma sighed. "If your not going to help him-"
"Stop jumping his defense Bulma. If he's serious about this, he needs to defend himself." Vegeta turned to his Son. "You've completely screwed your chances with her because your not thinking with your head."
"Are you going to help me or not?"
"I shouldn't because your Sister has a point. You can't only focus on what you want. If you truly want her, if you care for her as you say you do, think about her and put her first before your wants and needs. You need to convince her that you want more than to just screw and mark her as yours, because your doing a poor job in convincing everyone else. Especially me."
Trunks rolled his eye's. "I've been trying-"
"No you haven't because if you had, you would have been one more step closer to getting her."
"Then what could he do then, Vegeta?"
"For starters, he could stop thinking with his dick and use his brain for once. Quit with the brute force and controlling nature and, oh, how could I forget, you could also stop trying to prove yourself by fighting everyone and her. You don't hit your Mate, Brat." He leaned forward to slap the back of his head, which only irritating the Saiyan even more. "And back to what I said earlier.. To gain her trust, you have to gain the trust of the ones in her circle."
Trunks face hardened at his words. "No." Vegeta didn't even try to contain his laughter. Trunks face was quick to grow red as his anger rose. He scowled at the man. "It's not funny!"
Vegeta's smirk grew wide as his ego. "Now's definitely not the time to pick and choose who you want to be friends with."
"Vegeta, you know Gohan hates us."
"And you egged him further with that piece of information last night." He stood up and walked towards the refrigerator. "And if your going to help the Brat, try not to screw this up again, Bulma. You don't need anymore going against you."
Bulma placed a hand on her Son's shoulder, giving him a smile. "Don't worry, we'll figure something out."
~~~~~~~~n.n
"You!"
Gohan looked up from his work studies to see his frowning daughter. He couldn't help but smile. Ever since Yesterdays meeting, he's been trying to clear his mind of the lies Bulma spat by distracting himself with his Work. The progress was slow, but he was getting there. "Uh oh, what did I do now?"
Jumping over the rail, she flew down and got in his face, pouting. "I know what you did!"
"I did a lot of things, Pan. You're going to have to clarify your meaning."
She was fuming now. "The Date! You set me up on a date with Natsume, and I want to know why!"
"Ahh. Well to answer your question, I did it to solve problems. It's called killing two birds with one stone. Ever heard of that?"
"Of course I did!" Pan scoffed, standing back up and placed her good hand on her hip. "What problems did you solve exactly?"
Gohan sighed as he leaned back in his seat. "Natsume told me the situation between you two- I just answered your question from yesterday," He pointed out. "And being that your my Daughter who I could read easily like a book, I know you feel something for the boy." Pan blushed. "Now, I won't say anything on his behalf on the situation, buuuut I can tell things went well, just as I planned."
"No, it didn't because he doesn't like me that way, so you failed."
"And also," He continued. "I did it for the simple fact that I am One hundred percent against the fact that Trunks is bonded to you and that you should give your life up to him. I'm not having that. I'm going to push you in any direction I can, far away from him. And it just so happens that my Daughter and her new best friend fits perfectly."
"But we don't feel that way about each other!"
Gohan raised an eyebrow.
"Ugh!"
DING DONG
"That must be him." Gohan teased, getting to his feet.
"Daaad!" Pan whined, throwing her tiny fist into his back. Gohan laughed loudly and easily dodged her hits as he made his way towards the door. Turning around, he managed to catch her good wrist and held it as he opened the door. He smiled at the teen. "Speak of the Devil." Gohan stepped aside to let the boy in quickly before any of the reporters could get any closer.
Pan froze when their eyes met, and her face flushed deeply. "Dad! Let me go!"
Gohan released his hold on her and she flew at top speed and slammed her bedroom door shut. Gohan sweat dropped. "So I take it things went well by the way her face was red."
"..More or less."
"Care to share some details?" Gohan asked, leading them both into the Kitchen.
Following the Saiyan, he stuffed his hand's in pocket's, and shrugged. "We went to see a Movie and took a small walk."
"That's all?" Gohan gave a sly smirk. "Hm, I would have thought you asked her out by now."
Natsume glanced to the floor for a brief moment. "I haven't gotten around to it verbally."
"So physically."
He stood silent. He trust Gohan. He told him, and 18 about his situation, (Briefly) because he had a feeling that he could actually trust them, and not only that, 18 was actually family. And like him, Gohan trusted him. And having the privilege to take his daughter out, he wasn't about to screw up any future chances by lying. He also didn't want to risk losing the trust Gohan had for him. "..Yes."
"And her reaction?"
"She..responded."
"How long?"
Natsume turned his head away from the older Saiyan, unamused. "Gohan,"
"I'm just messing with you." He gave the boy a rough pat on the back before pouring them both tea. Taking a seat across the boy, his face grew more serious.
"But on a serious note, what did she say? I know she has a lot bottled up inside, and some stuff she might not be ready to tell me.. But as her Father, I want to know. I need to know everything that's going on in her life." He took a sip of his tea. "You know how she could be. She wants to do thing's on her own without me knowing. Now I have no problem with that, it's apart of growing up to be able to handle your own, but it's not alright when it involves your life. She feels the need to hide certain things from me, but after having a long talk with her, and her keeping her word, hopefully she'll start telling me thing's." He downed the lasting of his tea, and placed the cup down. "But I still want to know what she said."
Natsume licked his lips. "..She said the feelings for him was very little, but still present. But she's certain that she doesn't want to end up with him."
"Good. That's good." Gohan murmured. "Anything else?"
"..She said she basically doesn't want to be a Saiyan anymore. She's scared, Gohan. And no matter what we do to protect her, he always seems to find a way to get to her. Which is true, and I'm a little unsure what to do myself."
Gohan scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, it's not easy being a Saiyan. Especially when there's only a limit of us." He sighed. "To be honest with you, I'm waiting for an opportunity to kill him. And I can tell you it won't be long." He smirked.
Natsume glanced down at the steamy cup and sighed inwardly. "I need to talk to her."
Gohan motioned with his head. "Go ahead. And don't worry, We'll figure something out."
~~~~~~~~n.n
With her chin resting in the palm of her hand, she stared with half interest at the intruders who still remained on her lawn. If she was correct, she could of sworn more has joined the fun in waiting for their appearance. She gave a small shake of her head. She was glad she wasn't famous because she would not look forward to see these nosy people everyday, stalking her. They'll probably do worse than just camp out on her lawn. She didn't even want to think about it. Oh how she felt bad for these brave soul's who succeeded in becoming famous.
Hearing the door open and close, she sighed through her nose, already knowing who it was.
"It felt weird coming through your front door instead of the window."
She didn't turn around, instead she kept gaze out the window. She wasn't planning on speaking to him, but knowing him, he would either continue his attempts in getting her talk to him, or just stand there until she said something on her own. Her shoulder's slumped. Another loss. When was thing's going to go her way? "What are you doing here, Natsume?"
He noted on the tone of voice but didn't say anything. Instead, he walked further into the room. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he said. "I came to see you."
She had not been prepared for him to say that. She looked over her shoulder with a raised eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"
"I just want to explain. I felt that you might feel confused about Yesterday."
"A little bit."
He walked over to her bed and sat down, patting the spot next to him.
Pan turned back towards the window, and gave a tired sigh. Slowly pulling herself up, she walked toward's her bed, giving him a suspicious look before taking a seat. She made sure to keep some space between them, and turned her head towards the window.
He placed his hand on top of her's, and she instantly snatched her hand to her chest alarmed. "Pan, bare with me. I-I...You know how hard it is for me to..say whats on my mind." He chose his words carefully. He turned his head away from her's for a brief moment to collect his thought's. He wasn't really sure how to go about this. He hasn't even thought of what he was going to say, believing it would come naturally, at least not like how it did in the past. "I-I really do care about you...a lot, actually, and-"
He's really doing this. He's really doing this! Why is he doing this?! He's working with my Father on this, obviously.
My Dad wouldn't try to trick me into liking him. I hope it wasn't a trick. No. He wouldn't do that to me. He knows how painful that would be. That's like me believing I even had a chance with Trunks when I actually didn't.
I Really wouldn't had guessed my Father for the match making type, and I didn't expect Natsume to just jump on board to help us. Sure, he's helped out a lot, but for this type of situation..I just didn't understand at all!
But why? Why was Dad trying to push me..with Natsume? My Father know's he's not weak. I know that too. Natsume's shown us that plenty of times that he can hold his own. He has shown more respect for me, and.. He's actually..kind of attractive and..I now that I think about it.. we've grown even closer.. Hm..I don't know..May'be..May'be I might actually lik-
Stop! Stop! Stop! Don't say that! You don't even know if he likes you! And..those feelings for Trunks..I...I still feel them but I. Don't. Know. Why!
You could never forget your first true love- was the saying. But I want to. I want to erase everything I remember of him! Thinking back, there was only a few special moment's that could be worth keeping but even with those thought alone just reminded me of all the horrible one's, and I don't think I could ever forget them. It's like their permanently stained in my mind. Always Reminding me who done this and that, as if putting me in check. He terrifies me to no end and..he makes me feel all these emotions. Scared..Angry..Hatred.. I..I just want it to end. I want it all to end-
She squeaked when he flicked her nose. "You wasn't listening."
She glowered at him, holding her nose. "Why are you doing this?"
Closing his eyes, he let out a breath. Why couldn't she just make things easier for him? "Look..I said I actually care about you, Pan. I-I have for a while now and-"
"I know your helping my Father. You're both plotting something together to change the little feelings I have for Trunks. I get that, but I don't appreciate you coming here, lying to my face saying you actually care for me in that way."
"I'm lying?" Now he was getting annoyed. He turned to her fully, almost glaring. "You have no idea how much I..care for you, Pan." He took a breath. "If you would just listen-"
"Just leave, Natsume."
"No."
Pan glared.
"Not until you..listen to what I have to say."
"Then I'm leaving." Getting to her feet, she headed for the door but stopped when he fazed out in front of her. Predictable.
She took a small step back, eyeing him. He seemed determined. And angry. But she didn't care. She was sure he figured her out by now.. Heck, her Father even figured out her feelings for him. They was always smart like that. Always thinking ahead of her. But that didn't matter because now she was one step ahead this time.
He met her hard stare, standing his ground. "Then fight me." When the Challenge didn't seem to faze him, she continued. "If I lose, then..I'll listen to the lies you wish to say. But if I win, I don't..And you leave me alone."
That got to him. A change in his eye's appeared, but he quickly masked it. He knew the true meaning behind her words. He shook his head. "No deal."
She was taken back. He was actually serious about this. "Then get out."
"Pan, I'm not hitting you."
She gave him a hard stare.
Lightly nibbling on his Pencil, he read line to line quickly before scribbling on the paper beside him.
Placing the Pencil back into his mouth, he continued to quickly scan the paper until a loud crash from upstairs reached his ears.
Without thinking, he flew up to her door and burst into the room. His heart was racing faster than normal. An image of Trunks came to mind, forgetting he was still in a deep slumber. His blood was pumping, and he was ready to kill.
But the sudden urge slowly died down as a different image came to view. His daughter hovering above the scuffed boy, preparing to strike.
Gohan rubbed his face aggressively, trying to calm his nerves. "What are you two doing?"
Stopping in mid-punch, Pan frowned up at her Father. "I challenged him to a fight!"
Gohan's head dropped as he gave a tired sigh. He was glad he only had to deal with one Saiyan child, because didn't think he could handle another one, specially with all the drama that's been going on. "Pan, your arm."
Natsume held her good hand, preventing her from scratching his face even further. "It doesn't even hurt that much anymore!" She watched him go around her and she began struggling against him when lifted her small figure off the teen. "What is this about anyways?"
Jumping out of his arm's, she turned to him and pointed an accused finger at the Saiyan. "Don't act like you don't know!"
Natsume pulled himself up, dusting himself off. "She's convinced that we've been working together to trick her into believing that I'm lying to her about.." Natsume trailed off.
Gohan nodded faintly, understanding. He turned to his fuming daughter. "Pan-"
"The only way I'll listen to him is if he beats me in a fight!" She argued.
"What would fighting solve, Pan. And it's not going to be a fair match since your injured."
"Being injured never stopped me from doing what I want before!"
Gohan could only shake his head. "Just keep it down, we have neighbors if you've forgotten." He said, motioning towards the window.
"Fine."
"Pan, I'm not fighting you."
"Then get out!"
Gohan closed the door after that, choosing to let them deal with that kind of situation alone. His part was done.
Sitting back down in his chair, he picked up the Paper and began reading where he left off. He was glad Pan had found someone who was similar to them. It made things so much easier this way, yet at the same time, it did come with it's complications as well. But nothing they couldn't handle.
He couldn't even imagine what life would be like if Pan had to deal with Trunks alone. Without his or Natsume's protection, she would have been bonded and mated by the time the full moon had took place. He was truly grateful Natsume came into their life.
He glanced up back at his daughter's closed door. He smiled knowing she was in good hands.
He ignored another louder crash and harsh thump as he drummed his fingers against his desk. Now, to just sit back and watch his plan fall into place.
A small growl escaped her clench teeth. He held down her shoulder, and pinned her wrist above her head. He had one knee to the bed, to keep his balance and space to not hurt her injured arm. She didn't stand a chance against him. They both knew it, but apparently that didn't stop her from trying to attack him again. She did managed to leave another scratch on his face.
"Would you listen to me now?"
Pan lips thinned as she stretched her legs, which he easily avoided. Now sitting on top of her struggling form, he sighed as he watched her continue to trying to throw him. He hoped she'll tire herself out soon because this was getting annoying.
She twisted her body in many ways until she slowly came to a stop. She gave a small pout, blowing her bangs from her face in a huff. "Get off." She whined.
"..I want to go out with you!"
Her body stiffened, and her gaze grew cold, but it didn't last as she soon averted her gaze, her eyes becoming glassy. He gripped her chin lightly, causing her to look back at him, the same time a tear rolled down her face. "I was being serious when I said I do care about you. I do want to protect you-"
"I don't need protection."
"I want to be the only one on your mind..instead of him." He continued. He released her shoulder and wrist and moved to sit at the edge of the bed. "I'd rather kill him, just so you would stop hurting. I don't want to see you living in fear because of him. You deserve more than that, Pan. And..if you would just give me a chance, I could promise you, you would be more happier than you would have been if he ended up with you..and I know he would have gotten a chance if he wasn't acting like an idiot." He took a deep. "Ever since we've met..I thought of you as just another girl who wouldn't quit.. You annoyed the hell out of me to no end.. But then we became more than that, and I know I'm not the only one who noticed it." He turned to look at her in the eyes. "You..actually saved me, Countless of times.. I almost did some things that I would have regretted, but only for the simple fact that if I screw up, I would hurt the one's I'm trying to protect, and your one of those few that I actually put before me..and I'm glad you're always there to stop me from doing those things because..I..I don't know what I'd do."
His throat was becoming dry, his voice slowly coming undone. He stopped to gather the remaining of his thoughts. "I don't know what I'll do if you reject me right now.."
"N-Natsume-"
"I know you feel something. Pan, all I'm asking is for one chance."
Pan slowly sat up, and looked down at her hand. Why was she suddenly getting this nervous feeling? She could trust him. She know's she can. He proved himself many times. And..maybe she did..like him more than a friend...
She looked up at him, and right then, she could tell by the way he looked, he wasn't lying. "Please, Pan."
She looked down at her lap again. "..I-If I say yes..you have to be completely honest with me."
He frowned in confusion. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"You keep secrets from me to this day."
"Only to protect you."
Pan closed her eye's and sighed through her nose. What did she need the protection for? Why was he being so secretive? She opened her eye's and met his gaze. "And..what about the one's that I don't need protection from?"
"...Just one step at a time, Pan."
"Hn."
They sat in silence, thinking over what was said. He was serious.. He actually feels..the same way as me.. Knowing that gave her tiny butterflies in her stomach. She didn't even realize him scooting back next to her until he grabbed her hand in his, gaining her attention. When she stared into his eye's, the butterflies began fluttering wildly. "Will you go out with me?"
Her face flushed red, and she turned her head away, her teeth stabbing at her lower lip. "I still can't believe you.."
"Do you need some convincing?"
Pan frowned, hating how warm her face felt. She chose not to respond to that, instead she said, "You said you liked me for a while..so why when I kissed you, you rejected me?"
"..I didn't necessarily reject you. I just figured you was..using me to forget whatever problem you was dealing with at the moment. Didn't feel like being used." He chuckled.
"..Eh.."
"So what was the issue?"
She shrugged. "I can't remember.. Probably something to do with Trunks.. I don't even want to remember."
She froze when he placed a short lock behind her ear, causing her to look at him in confusion. "Then don't. I just want to help you any way I can. Just tell me what I could do."
Another tear slipped from her eye, but she didn't do anything to stop it. "Just..don't leave my side again.."
He nodded, pulling her in. He held her tightly against him, letting out the shaky breath he was holding. "I won't.. I promise."
Her eyes closed, and she welcomed his scent. A small smile grew on her face. "..So it's official?"
She nodded, sniffing. "Yeah." She sighed, feeling protected when he held her more tighter. She doesn't know how much relief he was feeling at that moment. He honestly didn't know what he would have done if she rejected him.. He couldn't even think about that now. He didn't want to.
He kissed the top of her head. She was like his rock. Always there to keep him grounded and out of trouble. He had a feeling that the clouds above him was going to start clearing up soon.
There was a knock on the door. Gohan poked his head inside the room, to see both teen's in each other's arm's. He didn't hide his smile. "Sorry to interrupt but um, I need to borrow Natsume for a moment." Gohan nodded with his head for the teen to follow him.
Natsume glanced down at the girl, slowly pulling away from her, not really wanting to. He wiped the small tears from her face before standing. Once he stepped out of the room, Gohan closed the door behind him.
Pan huffed, running her hand through her short hair. ..It was official... She was now Natsume's girlfriend. That made her feel good inside. She couldn't fight back the smile that slowly made it's way to her lip's.
It felt strange.. She had always thought being with Trunks would be true bliss. Back then, she didn't know if her small rivalry with Marron would ever come to an end, but she had always pictured herself coming out victorious. Believing she was a better fit for him than the Blond. She would fantasize about the perfect date, their future together, owning a house with kid's, and everything peaceful. No fighting, or arguing. But because Natsume had stepped into her life, she could finally let her childhood fantasy go. In the end, she had lost, and she will take that lost with her head high. Knowing that her old fantasies wasn't going to come true..she was perfectly fine with that.
The dusty old page was finally turning to anew. Throughout the loss, the sad and difficult times, she will leave it all behind and she will welcome the new page in her life with open arm's...
She frowned at the closed door. Her Father and Natsume was out for a while now. She didn't understand why her Father couldn't her just talk to him in front of her? What was he trying to hide from her? Curiosity got the better of her and she quietly walked to her door. Pressing her ear to the door, she listened carefully.
"...I still don't want her going. It's too soon, and I'm not having her around Bulma." That was her Father's voice.
"I understand, but what am I-"
"Just keep her busy until I come back."
She heard her boyfriend sigh lowly. "..I'll do my best."
She heard some light shuffling, but she was too late in reacting and her injured arm collided with the door. She did her best to hold back the piercing scream that threatened to escape her mouth, and settled for a agonizing groan.
Natsume came inside the room and seen her jump back, and smirked at her. "And this is why you shouldn't ease drop."
Pan glared up at him with teary eye's. "Where are you going?"
"I'm not going anywhere." He answered, closing the door. He floated towards her bed, and laid down. Giving one of his teasing smirks, he patted the spot next to him.
Still frowning, she complied. She sat on her leg's beside him, almost pouting. "What was you talking to my Father about?"
"Now if he wanted you to know, he would have told you, Pan." He tilted his head, his smirk never fading. "You look adorable when you pout."
"Tell me!" His smirk only increased as he shook his head. "What happen to not keeping secrets?"
He looked at her before back up at her Ceiling. "..Think of it as one of those secrets that's to protect you."
She gave him a look. "Are you serious?"
"Very."
Pan snapped her head away from him. "Don't be like that," She didn't respond. She felt him shift on the bed, probably to sit up. But she didn't cave in. She wouldn't.
Her eye's widen when he wrapped his arm around her shoulder's, and pulled her close. Her eye's grew wide as their noses bumped, but her surprise expression was quick to vanish as a frown set into place. She nearly growled at how he was able to make her face flush so easily, but what really got to her was that growing smirk. He gave a glance to her lips.
He's not...
He silenced her thoughts as he moved his head closer until there lip's connected. She squeaked, her eye's widening, but he didn't let her pull away. She remained still, just feeling his lip's on top of her's. Her heart was thumping so hard against her rib cage, she was sure he and her Father coud hear it.
And to make thing's worse, his tongue ran over her bottom lip. She was hesitant, but opened her mouth slightly, but he never went any further then that. Her eyebrow's creased feeling him smirking against her lips.
When he pulled away, the smirk was still present. "I don't think I'll ever get tired seeing your face so red." Rubbing his chin, moving closer to her face again. "And I don't think I'll get tired kissing you either."
Pan was taken back, her blush increasing. She couldn't understand how he could be so blunt. She was speechless, of course she knew he was only teasing her to try to change the subject. "N-Nice try, B-But I still want to know where my Father is going!"
Smirk fading, he gave a tired look. "What would it take for you to remain here?"
"Nothing." She smiled. Levitating off the bed, she flew out the door before he could try to stop her again.
Spotting her Father in his stationary desk, she flew over the railing and floated beside him. "Dad, where are you going?"
Gohan turned his head moment's later, lowing his paper. "Uh.." He turned his head to glanced at Natsume who leaned against the rail.
"She's persistent. Plus, it wasn't wise to talk in front of her door." He pointed out.
Gohan let out a small sigh. "We're heading to the School. We all planned to help do some investigation where things originally started." He gave a look at his Daughter. "I just thought you wouldn't be ready for this yet."
T-The School? They was heading to the School...? It was for a good reason.. They was going to help discover what that beast was, and hopefully figure out where it came from, but that seemed far fetched. No, she couldn't think like that. They will find out!
She shook her head lightly, and cleared her throat. "No, I'll go..If I can't..then I'll just leave early.."
"It's still early." Natsume said, floating down beside her.
Pan looked up at him. "I at least want to try to help.." She frowned. "I'm not weak, I can handle it."
"I didn't say you was weak. All I'm saying is that, it might be more harder on you- not counting Krillin and Lazuli, but you was closer to her."
She looked up, face full of determination. "And as her best friend, It's my job to do all I can."
Grasping her hand in his, Natsume looked down at the small Saiyan. Upon hearing the new's, her emotion's was down, but hopefully with their help, it would cheer her up knowing that they would be close into revealing what that thing was. "Ready?"
Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Gohan nodded at the two before turning his back on them. The three fazed out, and fazed back into the air, and blasted off. Gohan took the lead, both teen's not too far behind.
Pan looked over her shoulder and at her house. She shook her head at spotting some of the reporter's moving around. "I can't wait until this is all over," Pan muttered, turning back around. Powering up, they increased their speed. The soon they got this over with, the faster they could gain information, and go their separate ways.
He was getting more irritated by the minute. They had been waiting at the entrance of the School for the last 20 minutes and everyone was running late. But he didn't care about anyone else but her. He did his best to rid his thought of the negativity that kept entering his mind, but it soon over shadowed his mind. He had to keep checking her power level to make his stable. She was fine, he kept reminding himself. Her power level was stable, which meant she was safe.
"Calm yourself, Brat." Vegeta barked.
"I..can't!" Trunks growled. "Where is she?"
"How the hell should I know?"
Bulma placed a hand on his tensed shoulder, grabbing his attention. "Trunks, she's alright. Just keep track of her to ease yourself. It's fine."
From the farthest away, Bra sat on a Rock, closest to the School. Shaking her head, she rolled her eye's. "Stupid."
Trunks growled her way. "What'd you say?"
Bra just turned her head away from him, not fazed. "You're acting like a complete idiot. She can watch over herself." She shook her head. "Stalker."
"Shut up!" He glared at her dangerously. He had to remind himself that she didn't know how it felt to be bonded. She had no idea of the pain and desperation he was forced to feel. He sneered before giving her his back, and looking back into the distance where her energy was last at. He checked for her energy level again and sighed in relief when he felt her near.
It wasn't long before three specs came into view. He was anxious to get a glimpse of her. It's been too long. He didn't count last night. She wasn't awake and active. He longed to see that charming smile of her's, that smile that would always be for him.
He wanted her to know that he was here, and waiting. Waiting for her to finally stop rejecting him. Waiting for the right time to make the right move. Waiting for..something good to happen. Since of late, everything seemed to be going in the Bastards favor and not his, and he hated that.
He sighed in content as this warm feeling came over him at the sight of her. He eyed her body, checking for any injuries. After hearing about what took place in the School, he honestly didn't want to believe it, but he knew his Father wouldn't joke about something like that. But he wish he was playing a sick trick on him, so he wouldm't have to see her hurt, but sadly he wasn't.
The cast was the first thing he seen, and it left him with a negative feeling. He couldn't even fully picture her struggling with..what ever she was fighting. She was a tough fighter. No where near his or Goten's level, but she came next. And if they said was true about Marron... It still surprised him to see her even walking, but he should expect more. She was always the strong willed one. Never the one to give up in achieving what she want's.
He spotted some the fading bruises on her skin that was shown, but it had him wondering where else the bruises laid on her body. He looked into her face. He just wanted to make all of them vanish, and erase any pain she felt physically and mentally.
Trunks growled when Vegeta bumped his shoulder's roughly, knocking him out of his state.
Giving his Father a warning glare, he stared back into her peaceful, calm face again. When she landed, was the moment their eye's locked. He thought she would of been happy to see him. He's been out for over a week now- according to his Mother, she had to feel a little worried about him. But her eyes held a look of shock and fear expression, and those looks alone told him she felt the complete opposite. He didn't understand.. She couldn't truly be that afraid of him. That Robot was just as dangerous as him! His view of her was blocked by no other than the said Android who was giving off the same deadly glare.
Gohan a step closer, sneering Bulma's way. "You was suppose to inform me when he woke up!"
Bulma huffed, crossing her arm's. "He woke up just this Morning."
Will all his might, he took a step back, restraining himself from putting his hands on her again, and blocked the two from view. "Take her home, Natsume."
Pan's eye's widen. "Wait, I still want to help!"
"Pan-"
"I'm not going to be near him." She locked her arm with Natsume's tightly to prove her point.
"Pan no. I don't trust her. It's just part of her plan."
"I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't know I was suppose to inform you on every move he made." Bulma snapped.
"I'm not trusting a word she says." Gohan shook his head. "Take her home, now!"
"Are you serious? Gohan, If I didn't think my Son was stable enough, I wouldn't had brought him along. He's fine." She motioned with her hand to her frowning Son. "Plus, we need her. She's the only one here who seen and know what took place inside the school."
"What do we need her to do? You told us there was nothing you discovered!"
"And that was only me. With more help, Hopefully we'll discover something"
He gave each one of them a warning glare. "..Fine." He turned specifically to Trunks. "Keep your damn distance!" He hissed.
"Let's just get this over with." Bra groaned, getting to her feet. She was really getting sick and tired of all the fighting between the two families. She began walking to the School when she stopped and turned her body half way upon the new arrival.
Goten landed beside his Father, closely followed by Krillin and 18. "Sorry we're late!" Goku said, with a hand behind his head.
Goten met Bra's gaze and he couldn't help but smile her way.
Bra eyebrows creased slightly as she walked up to him. Goten gave her a confused stare as she gentle grazed her finger against on the corner of his mouth, and gave him a look. "Really?"
Goten just laughed sheepishly. "Shall we get started?"
Bra turned to the rest. "I think I should stay outside to keep watch. Who know's if any of the Reporters might show up..Plus, I don't feel comfortable going inside."
"Yeah, I think I will too." Goten said, giving an uneasy look. "I don't think I could handle that either.."
"That's a good Idea." Bulma agreed. "Alright, everybody else, let's go!"
The two watched everyone else enter the building. After waiting until their voice's couldn't be heard, Bra turned around, not prepared to be pulled into his arms.
"Want to tell me what's wrong?" He lifted her chin up softly. "And don't lie. I could feel how tense you were a few moments ago."
She lowered her head, shaking it. Feeling her emotions quickly rising, he turned her around and pulled her to his chest. "We're so Lucky.." She whispered.
Goten's eyes lowered as he tightened his arm's around her. "What's this about, Bra?" He didn't like seeing her in tears or looking crestfallen. She should be wearing one of breath taking smiles. He wanted to crush everything that was making her upset. "Bra."
Her grip on his shirt his shirt increased. "My mother and Brother!" Her face was drenched with fresh tears. "She's being selfish with Trunks and Pan's situation! She doesn't even care what Pan is feeling, and she's for Trunks doing whatever it take's to get Pan to be with him, even if that mean's forcing himself on her! A-And I understand that she's doing this for Trunks' sake because without her, he'll die, but..How could you not even consider how the other if feeling? She can't do that! He can't do that! There has to be another way to keep him alive, while also keeping Pan happy.. There just has to be..."
Her emotions was going through the roof. "My Father actually managed to buy her some time to decide between Natsume and Trunks, but.. "
"Easy, Bra."
"..I over heard my Mother talking to Pan in Trunks' room. She was trying to convince Pan into giving him another chance, and spending time with him, and if Pan agree's, then she won't stop. She believe's Pan would pick Trunks in the end because she managed to get them to spend more time together; thus giving Trunks another chance to prove himself to her.. But I know it's just another trap so he could try something stupid again. I just hate what's she's doing, Goten." She sniffed. "She need's to be stopped.." She took a breath before continuing. "I couldn't even Imagine myself going through that! Pan's freaking terrified of Trunks, a-and.." She looked up at him, nearly frightened. "What if Chichi or Goku reject's me?"
Goten caressed her cheek, and shook his head. "They'll love you, Bra. Who wouldn't? Plus, say if they didn't, it wouldn't even matter because it's not their decision, nor is it Bulma's or Vegeta's desicion for Pan and Trunks." He kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back soothingly. "But they'll love you, no doubt about it."
She wrapped her arm's around his waist, and remained quiet for a moment, though more tears followed after the next. "What can we do?"
"Give support.. And just wait until she gives an answer. If she doesn't want to be with him, then we'll do our best to hold him off." He kissed the top of her head. "She's in good hand's, Bra. We won't let anything happen to her."
She nodded, taking a deep shaky breath.
"Bra, try to relax." He held her protectively in her arm's, trying his best to help channel her emotions. He admit that this was kind of scary, and he was glad that they didn't have to deal with that, but scaring herself wasn't going to solve anything.
He frowned when her arm's began to lossen around him, and her emotions began to rise slightly higher.
What if...
"What?"
Bra looked at him for a brief moment before casting her gaze to the floor. "C-Can I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"..W-What if..I were in Pan's position..and you..."
He did something she didn't expect: He chuckled. "Well, if I'm trying to convince you into mating with me, and you chose someone else.." He looked up toward's the sky. Just the thought alone made him feel angry, but he did his best not to show it. He did however gave a bitter laugh. "You want the truth?"
She frowned, but nodded.
"Well I have to say, It won't be pretty, and- if he's human, he'd have no chance. I doubt you would want to be careful the rest of your life, afraid that you'll break him." She blushed at that. "But if he was like Natsume then...Well, I won't scare you, that's for sure. I'm no idiot. But I would try my hardest to get you to notice all the great thing's I could do for you." He intertwined their hand's together. "I'd love you, Treat you right, and always remain at your side." Bra gave a small smile, pleased with his answer. " Beside's, you can't say no to me."
"I feel like you're not telling all that you would do.."
"I'm not because I won't scare you even further, but just know I would fight for you." He tightened his grip around her, pulling her even closer than before. Smirking at her surprised reaction, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
She rested her head against his chest, breathing in his scent. He could feel her slowly starting to calm down against him, but she was still nervous and tense. When he opened his mouth to whisper soothing word's in her ear, she surprised him as she whispered her own.
"I love you, Goten."
He gave a smile, feeling more happy hering those words come out of her mouth. "I love you too, Bra."
Pan stayed close to Natsume, hugging his arm tighter. She wished her other arm would heal much quickly. It was hard doing a lot with just one, like that fight she had not too long ago. Now if she was able to use her arm, she knew she would had at least stood a chance against him (not really), but in the back of her mind.. she was glad she lost. She knew why. She did feel the same as he did. Her Father was right. Natsume was right as well. She did felt something last night like he said. She silently sighed through her nose and moved closer to him.
She glanced at the small group. Bulma took the lead, with Vegeta not too far behind. He looked like he rather be anywhere else but there at the moment, which was understandable. She doubt he felt nervous, but she was surprised he remained silent. Trunks was the closes to him though, and Krillin and 18 fell a few step's behind.
She glanced back at the teen. She guessed he was listening to her Father about keeping distance from them. Which was a wise choice. She didn't want anyone arguing anymore. Her Father walked in front of them both, making sure to keep an eye out for the teen. She had a feeling he was just waiting for him to try something, so he could have a reasonable excuse to rip him to shreds.
Wait, but where was her Grandfather?
She stood on her toes, trying to look past them before looking behind her. She turned back around sharply, her eye's wide with worry. Now she was starting to panic.
Natsume glanced down at her, feeling her hand tense up "What's wrong?"
She gave hm a nervous glance. "W-Where's my grandfather?"
Natsume glanced over his shoulder. "Look." He pointed. Pan looked behind her again, and seen him jogging to catch up to them. He glanced back down at her, watching her sighing in relief.
He looked forward again. "You don't have to do this. We could always go back."
She shook her head. "But I do.. I want to."
"Don't force yourself if you can't handle it."
"I won't."
She glanced up at her Father. "W-We won't get in trouble with the Police, right?"
Krillin scoffed. "Even if they were here, that wouldn't stop us."
Bulma lifted the yellow and black tape, holding it for everyone. "And with them putting the blame on me, they'll be thrilled that I'm even taking action, even though I was already going to do it regardless."
As they entered the main hall, they looked around the trashed School. Pan glanced down the hall, where dark burn marks laid. Her eye's lowered at the sight..
She held in her breath as she stood completely still. They're eye's traveling after the thing. Marron was itching to scream in pure horror as her body pressed more into Pan's as she zoned in on the slimy trail it left behind. But the second it disappeared behind the corner, Pan began pulling the Blond back slowly, not letting go of her mouth. And when she believed was a good enough distance away, they began running.
She began breathing heavily. "Pan," She began, panicking.
"Run..Run!" Taking the frightened girl's wrist, she yanked her back and down the hall. "The back way!" Pan said, running faster. Marron ran along side her, panic written all over her face.
By the time they made it down the last hall, they couldn't even take another step forward as they collided into the wall, going through it.
That thing's slimy trail scorched the floor. She did recall feeling her skin burning after coming into contact with the thing countless time's.
Closing her eye's, her body shivered lightly as she remember the pain from that night. Every peircing scream, every weak attempt to strike, a faint pleading voice screaming to get up...
A hand gripping her shoulder, caused her to let out a scream, and blasting whatever touched her. Snappng around to deliver another blast, her arm lowered as she realized it wasn't the slimy beast. "Dad, I'm so sorry!"
Gohan stumbled back, holding his now aching face. Pan's face paled greatly, and it didn't help when Vegeta's burst out laughing.
Gohan took a few moment's to gather himself. Taking one final deep breath, he picked up his now shattered glasses. "It's alright, Pan."
She took another step closer, preparing to for a series of apologies when Bulma voice stopped her.
"Alright, let's start. Pan." Bulma motioned for her to lead the way.
"..R-Right.." Her hand slowly slid down to Natsume's hand, and he gave her a reassuring squeeze. "W-We started out in the gym..."
Pan turned around, looking directly at her Father. "I-It happened at night, s-so do you think it only appears at night?"
"That's a good question," Gohan muttered.
Trunks remained a good distance away from the group. Bra had been right, they were dating. He glared at their joint hands. She didn't even try to hide that fact. He shook his head. He needed to pay attention! He could sulk about the relationship later, right now, he needed to know everything that she went through.
A sick feeling entered his stomach at the sudden thought of her going through this.
He took in the scene around him. The School was wrecked. They was definitely going to have to rebuild most of this building. He looked to the wall that held a enormous hole. They was probably thrown through the wall and then...who know's what happened..
"Trunks." Trunks turned his head upon hearing his name being called. It was Goku. The older man gave him a look. "You coming?"
"..Yeah."
He followed the small group up to the Gym. And when he entered, he's heart nearly stopped. The place was scorched. He quickly glanced to the girl to see her clutching the Android's hand tightly. That should he his hand she's gripping. He should be the one to hold her. To comfort her. Not him!
"...And after Mao was sent flying in here, the flames went up, as if it was trying to separate us.. T-Then we was shocked.."
"I woke up outside." Natsume explained.
"And me and Marron was on the lower floors."
"What did this thing look like again?" 18 asked, moving closer to the group.
Pan bit her lip in thought. "..It's hard to explain. Just..a big..Blue blob..and about a few inches taller than my Father maybe. Turquoise eyes, and when it touched me it kind of burn." She showed her arm, disappearing red marks on it.
"Back to what Pan asked." Krillin started. "May'be we should come here at night to see if it would actually appear."
"I don't think that's wise." Goku spoke up. "But if we do, there need's to be an equal amount of energy to avoid any conflicts in the group."
"Let's just stick together." Gohan interrupted, frowning. "We're not taking any chances of someone else getting injured or worse."
"But keep in mind that the kids was together in the first place, so chances are if we actually do run into that thing, we might end up in the same situation as them." Bulma explained, walking around the gym, taking in the sight.
Pan looked down at her cast arm. A sickening feeling was eating at her internally. Picturing her Father and the rest of them coming here for the night to track down what ever had attack them didn't leave her feeling safe. And knowing that they could hold their own, still didn't make her satisfied. That thing made it's first appearance at the School, but that didn't necessarily mean it would turn up in the same place. It could appear somewhere else, harming helpless civilian's. They was heroes. It was there jobs to protect the innocence, but she couldn't help but feel like one without any powers. She attack as hard as she could, but it was like her attacks were useless against that thing.
It left marks that would never be forgotten. The death of her friend. The aching pain that raced throughout her entire being. The memories.. And how could she forget that large amount of energy she felt when she pulled inside the thing. It was in the range of her Grandfather's and Vegeta's. Possibly higher.. "Pan?"
She lifted her head up to see her Grandfather smiling down at her. Crouching down, he looked her over. "How're you holding up?"
"I'm getting there.." She answered honestly.
"We'll find the creep in no time. You have nothing to worry about." He assured her, ruffling her hair.
Pan gave a small smile, giving the Older man a one arm hug. "Thank you, Grandpa." She whispered.
"Okay Pan, from your point of view, lead us to where you and Marron woke up."
"Right." Pulling away from her Grandfather, she lead the small group down to the lower level. She slowly came to a stop when the scene came before her. But with the images still freshed in ber mind, the dry metallic smell entering her nose..she couldn't take it.
Bulma looked at the small child. "Pan?"
"I'm sorry." She pushed past everyone, and headed for the exit.
Bulma watched the girl run off and turned to Trunks who was also sharing a concern look. She opened her mouth to speak when Gohan's voice cut her off. "Natsume, take her home."
Natsume nodded and chased after his girlfriend.
Bulma eyebrow's creased slightly as she watch him run off. Looking back over at her Son, his expression harden greatly. She shared a knowing look with her Mate, but remained quiet.
"Someone's coming!" The Couple quickly pulled away from each other, looking anywhere else but the other as the new Couple exited the school.
"Pan?" Goten quickly ran up to the two, closely followed by Bra. "What happened?"
"I-I'm fine..I just..couldn't.."
Natsume rubbed the small of her back soothingly. "It's alright. I'm going to take her home."
"Alright, then I'll guess it's up to me to tell the other side of the story." Goten huffed as he crossed his arm's. He glanced back at the School with a look. "I don't know about you guys but I don't know how I'll be able to look at the School the same way." He turned back to his Niece and kissed the top of her head.
The two Saiyan's watched the Couple fly off hand in hand until they was small specks in the sky before turning to each other. "Go." Bra gave him a reassuring smile. "I'll keep watch."
"I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone.."
"I'll be fine." She pulled him close to kiss him lightly on the lips. "I'll signal out for you if I need you."
Kissing the top of her head, he started making his way towards the School.
Bra watched him until he disappeared behind the doors and sighed softly. She wish things would be alright with Pan and Natsume's situation.
Her eyes shone brightly against the sun light. She rested her head on his shoulder and tried her best to relax her turning stomach. The vivid images from that night repeatedly flashed in her mind. The gruesome incident. The Blood.. The screams...
She gave a small whimper.
Natsume increased his speed, wanting to get far away from the building. If only she wasn't so stubborn, she wouldn't have to feel this way. She could of helped in a different way. It wasn't too long that the incident happened, and she rushed in.
And what made it worse was that Trunks was awake. Now he didn't know what Bulma's true intention was in bringing him along, but he couldn't help but agree with Gohan. A small warning would of been great.
"Wait stop!"
Natsume immediately halted to a stopped and hovered in the air. He looked over his shoulder at her. "What's the matter?"
Pan looked around them at the ground. Slowly peeling herself off his back, she began descending lower, appearing to be searching something. It was when she began sniffing the air, he had to ask. "Pan, where are you going?"
But she ignored her boyfriend, and began following the familiar Scent.
~~~~~~~~n.n
The sound him typing away on his laptop was the only source of noise. Multiple screens popping up, one after the other, his eye's giving them a brief glance. But it was when a file had opened, throwing all type's of pictures taken by him. He almost became a puddle of mush at the sight of his beloved. Her charming smile in nearly almost every picture. One of her pouting, angry, running. And her birthmark..
Pulling open his draw on his right side, he pulled out two nose stoppers and stuffed them in his nostrils. Kissing his fingers, he touched his screen. "Soon." He murmured before taking down the picture's.
Clearing his mind, he resumed back to his furious typing. But that soon came to an end once more when he jumped upon hearing a loud crash from the floor below. "..The hell?"
Making his way down stairs, he looked around the living room to see nothing out of place. Making his way to the Kitchen, he stopped when he seen many shards of a broken plate laying in the middle of the floor. He glanced towards the closed cabinets confused.
He jumped again hearing another crash just behind him. Re-entering the living room, his eye's widen at the now shattered lamp. Now he was freaking out. He took a step back until he re-entered the Kitchen, keeping his back to the wall.
Suddenly a smirk made it's way to his face. Moving to the center of the Kitchen, he rubbed his chin, glancing around him for the slightest movement's. "You know I find this amusing, actually. Your trying to scare me when really, it's a complete turn on. I wonder how this will go down. Would you slam me into the wall and plant those perfect cherry red lips onto mine, or would you rather take me roughly on the the cold floor." He wrapped his arm's around himself, as he rocked his body left and right. "My body temperature changing from the cold tiled floor, but I would quickly be heated as you ravish me," His cheeks tinted red at the image. "Of course, you would have to go easy on me as I'm no where nearly as strong as you, my sweets!"
A gust of wind blew past him from behind.
He snapped around, his smirk growing. "Is that your game? Choosing the weak and breaking them? If so..I find that also a turn on," He purred. "You really know how to get me going."
His feet was suddenly dangling above the ground. He struggled to breath as he was pinned to the wall by his neck. "Enough with the dirty talk, Stalker." His eye's shifted from Natsume to Pan. She huffed as she crossed her arms.
"Look's like we both have that in common." He said rasp, gripping his wrist. "Remove your Pet from me." That only caused Natsume to add more pressure to his strong hold.
"I'd watch it if I were you," Natsume growled.
"What're you going to do? Kill me?" He scoffed. "Good luck getting any piece of information you seek." He spat.
Pan frowned. "How did you-"
"Well you don't expect me to believe that you two track me down all the way here to just hold me against the wall for fun, do you?" He gave Pan a look over. "But if it was you pinning me.. I'd have no problem."
Natsume threw him to the floor, growing tired with his constant flirting. "Tell us what we want to know."
Chikao groaned, slowly pulling himself up into a sitting postion. He rubbed his throat, trying to sooth the pain. "And what is it you want to know exactly?"
"You told me you saw everything that night at the School. I want to know where that thing went?"
Chikao cocked his head to the side, giving her a look that matched her's. "And if I don't? You know what you should be doing, is working on convincing people into doing what you want without using brute force because people like me would rather die than give you any piece of information, just so you can struggle."
Pan crossed her arm's over her chest. "When your dealing with my kind of situations, you'll do anything it takes to get what you want." She crouched on one knee, giving him a hard stare. "Now tell me."
Chikao's expression never faltered, if possibly, increased as well. "...Kiss me."
Natsume's head snapped at the teen. "Tell me first."
"How will I know you won't just leave after I tell you?"
"Your just going to have to trust me on that. You have my word that I won't leave." When that didn't get to him, she added: "Are you really going to risk this chance?"
He adjusted his glasses, sighing. "It's not something someone want's to reminisce, you know." He glared at the two. "What do you two hope to accomplish anyways? If you couldn't defeat it, what makes you think you could take it on again?"
"You should know the answers to that since you stalk me."
"But I'm not fully aware of your history, if you forgot." He waved the matter off. "Anyways... That night..." He stopped himself, shaking his head. "It's better if I showed you."
"Show us?"
"I..I also have Cameras set up at School." Standing, he dusted himself off before motioning the two to follow. Leading them to his room, he sat in his computer Chair and began typing furiously until screen's began popping up. When a screen of the girls in the changing room came up, Pan's eyebrow twitched irritable as covered Natsume's eyes. "You put cameras in the girl's Changing room?!"
"My ears!" Chikao hissed, glaring. "And we're not here for that!" He deleted the page and pulled out the correct page.
Taking her hand off his eye's, she and Natsume both looked on at the scene. The image was dark and slightly hazy but they could make out Pan's unconscious body laying next to the Blond's rip corpse. The puddle of blood increased greatly, most of it getting on Pan. Suddenly the Beast came into view, slowly trudging toward's her.
The beast hovered over her form for a while. Pan frowned at the sight. She was afraid to think what was to come next.
It's arm raised sluggishly, the end forming hard. Pan couldn't tear her eye's away. She could feel herself growing more upset at the sight. It shouldbof been her..
As it's arm came down, it froze in mid-swing. The tip just inches away from her nose.
Slowly, one drop, follow by another, landing on her face. It was only a matter of few seconds until it finally dropped into a puddle of goo. It splattered all over her, mixing with the blood. The blue puddle of slim glowed brightly, flashing a few times before shooting up, debris coming down seconds after.
"And after that, I just seen a bright ray of light in the sky, and it vanished within second's." He swiveled his chair to look at the two.
Pan crossed her arm's, disappointingly. "And to think I was onto something."
"No, you are up to something, Pan. And like you said, it probably only does come at night." Natsume said. He looked over at the Nerd. "How many cameras do you have set up?"
"Several. Why?"
"May'be we could pin point where it came from."
"Trust me, I already tried that. None of my Cameras caught sight of it from the beginning. And when I arrived, I had already spotted Pan and Marron wandering the School. If you don't believe me, you can take a look for yourself." He slid away and allowed the Teen access. Natsume didn't waste anytime in doing so.
"..So if you saw me, why didn't you come into the School?" Pan questioned, eyeing the teen.
"Trust me, I wanted to, but I'm glad I didn't." He crossed his leg over the other, along with his arms. "What was you two even doing being separated from the rest?"
"We woke up without the others. We were shocked, and the other's was transported outside somewhow."
He rubbed his chin in thought. "Interesting..Sound's like this..what is it?" Pan only shrugged. "Well, whatever it is, it seem's pretty powerful if it could do that. But as you guy's work on that, also find out what it wants. Apparently it seem's to want something you have."
Pan raised an eyebrow. "I don't have anything, and neither did Marron."
Chikao shrugged. "Well.. It want's something. Otherwise why did it only trap you and Marron but left the rest outside? If it wanted, it could have killed all of you in one go, but you two was specifically chosen."
Pan glanced to the side for a moment. "No.. I don't know, but that can't be the reason. I mean, what do I have? That's the first time I ever seen that thing.."
"It shouldn't matter what that thing wants. That shit need's to be stopped." Natsume spoke. He stepped away from the Laptop, and ran a hand through his hair. "He's right. There's no footage." Natsume growled. "Damn."
Pan placed a hand on his back, and glanced to the Nerd. "Well. thanks, Chikao."
The Said Nerd nodded.
Pan released a defeated sigh. "Come on, Natsume." Both teen's turned toward's his window, and prepared to take flight when Chikao went to a coughing fit. Pan and Natsume looked over at him, with a raised eyebrow.
Chikao glared at the smaller teen. "Ahem. Are you forgetting something?"
Pan and Natsume blinked, clueless.
"My kiss?"
Rolling her eye's, she moved to stand in front of him. "Your right. You did help us, after all."
He gasped happily as he jumped to his feet. Closing his eyes as he leaned in, lip's puckered. Pan grimaced, moving back. She couldn't help but feel bad for the Nerd, but it wasn't anything she could really do. Kissing the palm of her hand she patted his right cheek twice before fazing out.
He ran to the window and glared at her floating figure. "Hey! That wasn't part of the deal!"
Pan turned around, floating away. "I have a boyfriend, what'd you expect?" She smirked at his expression, and turned back around and blasted off hand in hand with Natsume, who in return tossed the Nerd a threatening glare.
It was then Pan suddenly stopped, and turned around and smirked at the teen. "I have an idea."
Chikao jumped back when Pan's figure fazed out in front of him. She gave an innocent smile as she tilted her head to the sde. "So you want to get a taste of becoming like us, do you?"
Chikao gulped nervously as he took a step back.

Gohan gaze lifted up from his book and glared across the room. He felt two familiar energy sources heading in his direction.
He snapped his book closed and threw it down on the inn table with force before rising to his feet. He crossed his arm's over his chest, waiting. They had no purpose in coming over here! He thought he delievered the message perfectly clear that he didn't want any of them near him or his Family. He just wished it was a different reason for their sudden arrival but he already knew it would be the same thing as always.
It wasn't long until he felt their Presence in the same room, and he sneered at the unwelcome guest. "You two have a lot of nerves coming here."
"Don't cause a scene now, Gohan. You wouldn't want to risk the Reporter's finding out the truth, would you?" Came Trunks' smug tone. He ignored Vegeta's little reminder when he bumped his shoulder as he stepped forward.
Gohan energy flared dangerously, but that only increased Trunks smirk. "What are you doing here?" He barked.
"I came to see Pan."
"She isn't here, and even if she was, what makes you think you have permission to even step close to her?"
Trunks held his hands in what appeared to be defense but his growing smirk told him otherwise. "I came with no intention to pick a fight with you, Gohan."
"I told you she wasn't here, now get the hell out of my house!"
Vegeta just smirked as he glanced toward's Pan's bedroom door. "I believe she just arrived, and she brought a guest."
There was loud shuffling coming from her bedroom, along with faint complaints. When the door opened, Pan and Natsume floated down, each holding an arm of their guest. "I swear I'll have you two arrested!" Came their hostage.
When they touched ground, Pan looked between their newest guest's. Vegtea kept his gaze on the Nerd at her side, while surprisingly,Trunks kept his gaze kept switching from her to Chikao to Natsume, trying to figure something out. Was it wrong to feel slight relief that she wasn't the only one he was focused on?
She tore her gaze from the Saiyan to her Father with a questionable look. "Dad?"
Gohan moved to stand beside his Daughter, glaring at Trunks who was now trying to see pass him.
Trunks walked a little to get a better look at the small Saiyan and gave a small smile. "Pan."
Pan released Chikao's arm and took a nervous step back. "That's close enough," Gohan warned. Trunks frowned, but never glanced his way. He spiked his energy at a dangerous level, warning him. He continued to advance toward's her until he was just a foot away from her. He glared at the arm that separated her from him.
Lowering her gaze as well, she placed a gentle hand on her Father's arm, lowering slightly. Her mind was screaming at her stupidity, but it was already too late.
And before she even realized it, his scent was all she smelt. She let out a small gasp when she was pulled against him, and froze.
He was feeling more relaxed the moment he inhaled her scent. His hand found it's way to the back of her head, bring her closer. If this was all he could do at the moment, he wasn't going to let anyone stop him. "Ow!"
Trunks quickly pulled away at her sudden cry and remembered her injury. But before he could open his mouth to speak, Natsume had already yanked her away from him, and what made it worse was how close he sheltered her from him.
Trunks bit his tongue at the sight, and glanced to the side, trying to control himself. When Trunks looked back at her, Pan jumped in alarm when his hand began glowing. "Come here."
"What are you doing?" Gohan questioned, taking a step forward.
Trunks waited, watching as she lowered her gaze to his hand. Her expression slowly changed from confusion to relization. She placed her good hand on top of Natsume's, signalling for him to release her. He gave her a look that she ignored and took a step forward.
Once she was back in front of him, she looked at him. Trunks kept his mask up, not showing how pleased he was that she actually listened, but more importantly went against her Father's and that Basrard's wishes. Carrying on with the task at hand, he carefully placed his glowing hand onto of her cast.
It wasn't long before Pan felt the sudden wave of his energy pulsing through her arm. Gohan watched the scene before him, not liking one bit it. He glared at the small smile that soon graced his Daughter's lips.
She easily tore off the cast and made a tight fist. "Awesome! It would of been pure torture waiting another few weeks for this to heal!"
Trunks smirked at her appearance. She felt her arm, forming fist's, and moving her finger's. Obvious to his amusement.
Pan blinked, remembering what was happening and looked up to see Trunks watching her. She pulled her fist to her chest, glancing away. "T-Thanks." She muttered. She quickly glanced up at him before once again, averting her gaze to the floor. "W-What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you."
Pan's head snapped up in alarm. "B-B-But I just saw you not too long ago!"
"I know..I just..." He trailed off.
"Right.." She cleared her throat, and glanced away. Not liking the position she was in, she quickly moved around the Saiyan and grabbed her Father's hand. "Dad, this was the kid I mentioned during the meeting: Chikao." She pointed. Natsume pushed the boy forth. Chikao fell to his knees and hands, and sneered at the teen. "He's the one who was blackmailing us."
"I should kill you where you stand!" Vegeta barked.
Chikao gave the older Saiyan a look. "Like that would be wise when the Reporters are right outside."
Vegeta took a step closer to the boy. "Is that a Challenge?"
"You have some guts talking to him like that." Pan said, arm's over her chest. She couldn't help but smirk at the situation, not once did her mind go back to the teen behind her.
"A death wish is what he has," Natsume muttered.
Chikao stood to his feet and dusted himself off, eyeing everyone in the room. "So, am I in a house full of Saiyans or are there any other's who are different?"
"You don't need to worry about that," Pan glared.
"Easy pan." Chikao flinched when Gohan placed a hand on the teen's shoulder, gripping too hard for comfort. "I think after a nice talk, he'll understand more about us, and what we're about."
Vegta loked at Gohan as if he ws stupid. "So you're plan is to discuss more about our heritage instead of killing the human?"
"The kid already has an idea what we're about. Why not? Hopefully it'll knock some sense into him." He gave Chikao a little (Rough) shake.
"Plus he actually helped us." Pan added. "He showed us some footage he got from the School.. But it wasn't really that useful." Chikao scoffed, uttering ow he didn't have to show her anything in the beginning but he was ignored.
"I would actually like to see this video myself." Gohan nodded.
Chikao sweat dropped, and chuckled nervously. "Yeah, sure. Just don't kill me." He begged weakly.
Gohan gripped the back of the boy's collar and forced him onto the Couch. "We're the good guys. We wouldn't dare hurt anyone." Gohan said cheerily. "But before we get to that," He glared towards the two Saiyan's. "You got to see her, now leave. You two have no purpose here anymore."
Trunks glared at the older Saiyan but didn't say anything. Vegeta placed a hand on his Son's shoulder, which he didn't resist.. Trunks glanced Pan's way, and frowned slightly when she didn't meet his gaze.
Once they fazed out, Pan lifted her head, glancing at the spot he last stood. She snapped out of her trance when Natsume grasped her hand, and she gave him a smile.
Pan rose from the ground, pulling Natsume with her. Leaning against the banister from above, they watched from above as her Father calmly gave the teen the short version of the story of their true nature. There were moments when he looked completely terrified, while other moment, completely amazed at the tales. Truth be told, Gohan, nor the teens got the reaction that they wanted, but it was a good thing that they had squashed one of their problems.
Pan motioned for Natsume to follow her to her bedroom, seeing as how the other occupied teen didn't seem to be leaving any time soon.
Natsume jumped onto her bed and laid down, folding his arm's behind his head. Laying on her soft sheet's didn't calm him whatsoever. He frowned at her ceiling, think back what happen just a few minutes ago.
Pan closed the door, an evil glint appeared in her eye's as she cracked her knuckles. "Want that rematch?" She smirked. "Just to prove I'm stronger, of course. You did have an advantage."
Natsume turned his head and gave her a blank look. "That was new. I didn't know Saiyan could heal."
Pan's smirk vanished, and she looked down, fiddling with her hand's. He frowned at her nervous expression, and sat up on his arm's. "What?"
Pan took a seat sat beside him on the bed, and continued to look down at her hand's. "..I didn't know that either, but seeing him do that..I remember doing something similar to him a while back.. I just figured it might work if he's energy level was back up, so I gave him some of mine.. b-but I didn't think it would actually work..."
"Hn."
Pan looked back at him, as he laid back down a frown on his face. "What?"
"Nothing."
Frowning, she turned, sitting on her leg's. She eyed him for a few moments before releasing a cheesy smile. "Are you jealous?" Natsume gave her a look, and she giggled. "Well you shouldn't be because I'm yours."
His frown deepened. "I'm not jealous."
"Tell that to your face." She said, pinching his cheek. "If that's not it, then tell me."
"..Just the way he was staring at you was annoying. He looked like he wanted to do more than hug you." He didn't doub she understood his meaning behind his word's.
"..I'm glad he didn't though.. Plus, my Father would have his head if did more than just give me a hug."
"And with you you trusting him so easily, letting him heal your arm after I pulled you away. What the hell was that about?" He shifted his gaze on her, wanting an explanation.
"I'm sorry, I just..I knew he wouldn't do anything else but heal me. That was his only intension."
"Pan, your not stupid. He could have done much more than heal your arm. Do you really believe he came down here just to heal your arm?"
"Well yeah-"
"No. He want's to get on your good side and by the way you were reacting to him healing your injury, doesn't seem like it would be long until you fully forgive him."
Pan frowned at him. "Wait a minute, Natsume. I never said I would forgive him, and I don't plan on to, so don't make it seem like I'm stupid enough to do that."
"I never said you were.." He rubbed his eye's, and sighed heavily. "Please just be careful, Pan."
"I will." He glanced back at her before glancing away, sweat dropping. He mentally kicked himself upon seeing her sad expression Sitting up, he pulled her to his side and held her tightly. "Pan, understand that I'm just worried for your safety. I really don't know what I would do if I lose you to him.." His eye's flared angrily at that thought. Pan lifted her head at his tense form, and couldn't help but feel moved that he actually cared about her that way.
Shyly, she turned his head towards her and placed her lip's on his. His eye's fell shut the moment her lip's touched his, and he leaned in more, holding her head in place. She didn't resist no matter how much the butterflies moved around in her stomach. Only he could cause her to feel that way and she would welcome it.
He slowly released her bottom lip before opening his eye's half way. He leaned his head against her's for a moment longer before she pulled away. She instantly turned her head away from him. He smirked slightly, leaning in to kiss her cheek.
Laying down, he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close to his side. A small smile graced her lips as she drapped an arm across him, welcoming his warmth.
It wasn't long until they both surrendered to sleep, keeping a strong hold on one another.

"Sick..Son of a Bitch!"
Natsume eye's snapped open due to glass shattering, closely following by another curse.
He sat up, his elbows supporting himself and looked around. The Sun had gone down a long time ago, leaving him sitting in darkness. Glancing over at the digital clock on the nightstand, it read 11:42 p.m..
He glanced down at the arm that was tying him down. Following up the pale arm, he was met with his sleeping girlfriend's face.
Sleep was tugging at him with a harsh grip, but he slowlypulled himself up all the way. Digging in his pocket for his phone, his eye's squinted from the harsh glare of the screen. 12 missed call's- written at the top of his screen. "Shit."
He turned his head towards the door as he heard shuffling. Glancing back down at the girl, he was surprised she didn't hear the commotion going on down stairs. Slowly unlatching himself from her grip, he put one of her pillow's as a replacement before pulling the sheet's over her. She sighed in content, a small smile gracing her lip's.
Quietly making his way to the door, he cast her one last look before exiting the room.
Her words was eating at him. He was doing his very best to control his inner self but nothing he did worked. He felt like breaking everything in sight! He stood around broken and shattered item's, breathing heavily.
"She's wrong..She's wrong! She doesn't understand us. We..we was happy together. You even said it yourself!" He swallowed. "You said we would be together. They..may have been worried but we got through it, and in the end, we had a beautiful daughter. We proved them wrong, and we came a long way, and that's all that matters.. That's all that matters..." It was getting harder to breathe, along with trying to calm down but he couldn't. He was letting that Bitch get to him, and he hated every second of it.
"Gohan, no one takes new's about learning what a Saiyan is so lightly!" Bulma cried. "She was terrified when I broke everything down to her! You basically forced yourself on her-"
Smack.
He didn't regret hitting her then, and he doesn't regret it now.
He sneered. She deserve more than just a hit to her face.
He fell to his knees, lifting his head up and his gaze met his the picture of his dead wife. He felt like a hollow shell without her. How he was able to manage to function so properly without her was a mystery to him. You live within me.. He also had his Daughter. He needed to live for her sake. She needed someone to be there for her. To Protect her from the lurking danger that awaits.
"She's lying, I know she is.."
Grabbing the Picture, he kissed it for a moment longer before looking at it again. Her vibrant smile made the tears present as the memories came floating back. The good, the bad.. He will treasure them all. He placed the Picture back down in it's rightful spot, and gave a sad grin. I'll see you soon.
As if a puppet on strings, he stood to his feet. Giving the small image one more glance, he turned and made his way to the door, and took flight.
Natsume remained rooted to his spot, watching the Saiyan take his leave.
The tears was finally set free as the wind gave them a small push, along with his intruding thoughts. Time was something you can't get back, which was why it was smart to use your time wisely. No one was very promised tomorrow..the same could be said for Saiyan's as well..
He let a bitter smirk reach his lip's. It wasn't always easy being a Saiyan. A pain really. Going through the transformations, mating, changes... But he couldn't complain. It all paid off in the end. He was able to obtain his dream: Having a Family of his own.
Plus, life would be boring if there wasn't complications here and there once in a while. But may'be Pan did have a point. Being a Human wouldn't had been so bad either. More easier, but it didn't matter, he lived for the thrill. He would just have to ask Krillin of the life of being Normal.
When he finally takes flight from this World..he know's there wouldn't be a way to wish him back..and it was hard to fully comprehend that small fact, being so use to having the Dragonball's around. He knew it wouldn't be long until that day finally reached him. There was nothing really waiting for him now. His Daughter might still contain some problems, but she was becoming a strong young Women, much like how Videl was. He see's it ever living day.
She doesn't need him anymore, and he know's it. She might not fully understand it yet, but she would. Someday.. She now has someone else to fill in his place. And now it was almost time to be where he belongs..
I promise I will do everything I can to Protect what's ours, Videl. I will stop him before my time is up.

He opened the door and closed it behind him, locking it. "Yo!" He called out. Making his way further into the house, he picked up on muffled talking from upstairs. He couldn't help but mentally hit himself for realizing he had a schedule to follow today, but completely forgotten. He couldn't help but sigh, he was going to get an ear full.
Following the loud voice's, he walked down to the last door in the hall, and walked in.
"That's not what I said! You-" He stopped his sentence and tuned to the intruder. Once he realized who it was, he gave a fierce glare at the teen. "Where the hell have you been? You was suppose to pick him up from School."
"Sorry, I got sidetracked."
"Sidetracked from what?"
Natsume glanced toward's the younger boy before back up at his older Brother. Taking the hint, he couldn't help but face palm himself, sighing. Glaring at the younger boy, he pointed out the door. "Wait for me downstairs."
The Younger boy jumped to his feet, giving the same fierce glare. "Why can't I know what you're talking about?" He snapped.
"I think you need to focus on yourself." He warned.
"But that's not fair!"
"Takeshi!" Natsume yelled. He also gave the boy a warning look, daring the Child to test him.
The boy- Takeshi, balled his fist tightly, but didn't say anymore. He ran past the two, bumping into Natsume hard.
Letting out a sigh, Natsume shut the door, before turning toward's the waiting Man. Natsume began telling him about the current situation, choosing to leave some information hidden. Being somewhat stubborn, he didn't want to tell him anything, feeling as hie had hs right's to deal with his own situation's without anyone's help or wanting them to know, but if he didn't want to get in more trouble or end up hurt, he had no choice but to talk. But that didn't mean he couldn't leave some thing's out. "...And apparently he woke up today. And after went to the School-"
He groaned, covering his face with his hand's. "You have no reason to go back to that damn School. What if something else happened? Then what? We already lost one! What the hell was you thinking, Natsume? " He snapped.
"I wasn't leaving Pan to deal with it on her own."
"You're acting as if she's your girlfriend." Natsume's pause caused the young adult to observe the young teen before him with an scrutinizing glare.
He met his glare, but deep down he knew he screwed up. "..She is."
Natsume watched as his glare only increased, and didn't say anymore after that. He hated when he grew silent. That was the sign that told him thing's just got even more worse. "And what happened to you staying out of relationships? You know that's not safe. You could put her in danger and even screw up what little chance you have with Father."
"You don't think I know that? And chance's are, we're not getting Dad back. So why put myself through that? She's..great and-"
"-could be used against you." He cut. " I already know she's not Human. What was it..A Saiyan? An extinct race, strongest aliens out there, And so on." He leaned forward, and gave him a serious look. "And how do you think this would play out? That you're going to end up happy with this girl? Are you dense? Once Collie find's out-"
"He's not going to find out!"
"And you're sting hanging around his daughter." He continued. "I don't trust that girl."
"Neither do I but she know's what'll happen to her if she utter's a word."
That was when he walked away from him, not believing what he was hearing. "What are you going to do, kill her? What the hell would that solve, Natsume? That would put us into even more deep shit!"
"I know what I'm doing, alright!" Natsume snapped. "I wouldn't dare get her mixed with my shit. Ever!"
He shook his head at the teen. "Natsume, you need to end it with this girl." Natsume glared up at him. "I'm telling you this for a reason. If this Bastard find out about her, not only would you put her life at stake, but you might harm the rest of both family as well, and I'm not taking any risk of him finding about Takeshi."
"I said I got it! I'll kill the suspicoin or whatever he suspects from her."
He shook his head pittifuly at the teen before turning towards the door. "You're grounded."
Natsume's head snapped up, glaring. "What?"
"You don't want to listen to my warnings, fine. You're grounded." He gave him a look over his shoulder. "Be glad your not getting what Takeshi's about to receive."
"I'm taking what you said into to consideration!"
"Don't leave the house. And pick your brother up from School tomorrow." He continued, gving a threatening glare over his shoulder. "Forget again and see what happens." He slammed the door closed behind him, shaking the house.
Natsume took deep breaths before grabbing the nearest thing, his clock and smashing it against the door. He didn't understand how it was any different from him dating Pan, with him having a relationship of his own. Was he not allowed to have something good in his life? Collie know's about them both, yet he could be with someone? How does that make any sense?
But he couldn't fully blame his Brother. He was only looking out for him, and the one's around him. But he could blame Collie for all this. It was because of him that this was even taking place.
This situation with Collie was getting too out of hand. He was slowly starting to control his life, and it wasn't fair. Now his girlfriend's life could possibly at stake all because of the deal. First his Father, and now possible his girlfriend or Brother.
If he could, he would cut the deal off. He felt sorry for his Father, but if this continued any longer and got any worse, someone was going to die by his hand's.
"Fuck!"
~~~~~~~~n.n
Ears twitching upon the sound of her window being forced open gave her a start. She sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eye's away. Seeing the familiar intruder, her face heated up immediately despite her efforts. "Morning."
"M-Morning.. W-What are you doing here?"
Leaving the window slightly ajar for the morning fresh air to slip through, he turned around and gave the girl a smirk and shrugged. "Couldn't sleep."
She glanced at the clock on her night stand. 6:32. A.M.. Just the sight of the time caused her to fall back on her bed, suddenly drained all over again. She felt her bed shift under his weight as he sat beside her. She looked to see him staring down at her, and her blush deepened. "Stop staring at me!" She snapped, turning on her side.
She heard him chuckle lightly before placing a hand on her side. "Since when have you been shy?"
Pan growled lowly. He's teasing me.. "Shut up!" She shivered lightly once the cold air hit her skin. He took noticed she had changed sometime into more comfortable clothes.
It was then that it dawned on her, and she was quick to sit up and punched him in the arm. "Idiot! The Reporters are still on my Lawn! What do you think your doing flying in here like that!"
"They're asleep." He assured her, rubbing the spot she it. "Plus, some actually left. Their's only a few."
"Good!" She sighed, falling back onto her bed. She moves over and parted the spot next to her. Kicking off his shoes, he laid on top of the sheets, one hand behind his head, the other, supporting his girlfriends head. Pan snuggled up against his side, his scent filling her nose. She don't think she'll ever get tired of smelling him.
They laid in comfortable silence. Pan turned her head so she could look at him fully, and gave him a teasing smirk. "You just wanted to lay with me."
Natsume shrugged. "How could I not want to lay next to something that smells good." He exclaimed, tugging lightly at her short hair.
Pan pouted, feeling her locks. "I was actually planning on growing it out too.."
"Don't grow it too long. It'll put you at a disadvantage in battle."
"I know, and I wasn't planning on it being that long, just a little past my shoulder's."
"Well, whatever look you go with, you'll look beautiful."
She blushed lightly, and buried her face into his chest, hugging his torso tighter. After a few moment's, she turned her head to the side. "You know, I'm surprised that my Father really put's a lot of trust in you, yet I'm not because you actually proved yourself to him."
He gave a deep chuckle. "I'm just glad he encouraged me to ask you out. I really couldn't let you go without trying something."
"So all those time's when you bullied me, and also making me wear that maid outfit in public, that's your way of doing something?"
"You bet," He leaned down to captured her lip's. The butterflies was alive and active within her stomach. She gripped his shirt, feeling his hard abs through the thin material.
They both pulled away and turned to the side when a small noise came to life, both wearing similar expression. Picking up her phone, she pressed the small device to her ear. "Hello?"
"Pan!" Pan frowned in confusion at the panic in her hushed voice. She knew it wasn't good.
"Bra, what's-"
"Listen, Whatever you do, do not agree to anything my Mother want's you to do, no matter what it is. I know she has something up her sleeves."
"I-I wouldn't."
"Good. And so you know, my Father is on your side as well."
Pan smiled faintly. "That's good to hear,"
"Yeah, but get this. We was talking just Yesterday and I couldn't believe my Mother was taking his side. I could understand Trunks is her Son, but your Mother and mine was close. I just don't understand why she would do that to you."
Bra continued to explain her Morning issues, then began explaining how she couldn't live with that herself. When she hung up the phone, she placed her phone back on her night stand and rested her head on his chest, sighing. Another battle, she could feel it coming.
"Who was it?"
"It was Bra.. She was warning my to stay away from Bulma. She has a feeling that she's going pull something to get me with Trunks.. But I knew that. Did she honestly believe that I didn't know Bulma and her ways?"
"She's just being cautious. She doesn't want to risk anything, and I'm glad she at least warned you. You didn't know when she was going to do something anyways, and now you have someone else to keep a close eye on you."
"..I'm still mad at her, and she knows it.. I bet she's doing this to get on my good side."
Natsume rubbed the small of her back soothingly. "Give it time, you two will be friends again in no time."
Pan frowned. Did she want Bra as a friend again? She wasn't even sure she could even trust her again. And she still has yet to tell her why she even betrayed her in the first place.
Shaking the Saiyan from her mind, she thought of other thing's, mainly het new boyfriend. Just like her, he had problems of his own. One of them being Mariko. She still has yet to figure out their situation, and it was bothering her that Natsume still didn't trust her enough to tell her. But she'll do her best to hold off the question's. But she couldn't help but feel their relationship was different in someway. "Can I ask you something?"
"You just did."
"Smart ass," She muttered. "But seriously..Why me?"
He rested his arm behind his head, looking up at her ceiling. "Why not you? Your the only girl who catches my attention, and isn't annoying. I know this would be something different."
Pan lifted her head off his chest with a questionable look. "Different how?"
He chuckled, ruffling her hair. "That's a story for another day," His hand slid down to caress the side of her frowning face.
"But I wanna know now!"
"Alright, I'll tell you..if you tell me who was the person you had in mind of dating first," He smirked when she became red in the face and buried her face within his shirt. He massaged the back of her head, laughing.
"Jerk," She lifted her head slightly. Her eye's was watering slightly. "..What if this was a mistake.."
"What?"
"Us dating. What if us dating angers him..and he tries something again..a-and I won't be able to fight him off?"
Natsume stared at her hard. "He won't get that far again."
She lifted herself up, and glared down at him. "You don't know that, Natsume!" She snapped. A tear fell from her eye, soaking through his shirt. "He's stronger than me, he matches you, and-" She paused, shifting her gaze to the side, before fully turning around to look toward's her window. "I feel Bulma's energy nearing." He released her when she began getting up. She went towards her window, and opened it wider, staring off into the sky.
She glanced back at Natsume questionably. "Why is she here?"
"Bra did warn you about her," Natsume pointed out.
"Yeah but I didn't think she would be making her move so suddenly." She motioned for him to follow as she headed down stairs. She spotted her Father sitting the couch. "Dad? Why's Bulma coming here?"
Gohan shrugged. "Dunno."
"..Aren't you going to do something?"
"Don't need to. She's not getting in. She'd be lucky if she even survive that mob out there," He turned to see Natsume at the top of the stairs. "Natsume," He greeted.
He nodded in acknowledgement. "Gohan."
"Pan, just go upstairs and pretend you didn't sense her. She nor anyone else is getting in."
Pan glanced at Natsume. "...Alright."
Going back up stairs, Natsume flopped back onto her bed and sighed at the softness of her mattress. Pan closed the door behind them, and leaned against the door. She didn't want to stay locked up in her own home because of Bulma. SHe's been home She's been She hasn't been outside in over a week. May'be her Father would sallow her at least a few hours outside. if she was accompany y a trust worthy friend. She glanced over at the relaxed teen.
"..Let's do something."
Natsume opened one eye. "Like what?"
"Anything. I don't wanna be stuck in here. Plus, Bulma think's I'm going to be here when she arrives, which I won't because she can't sense me."
"But to where?" He repeated.
Pan placed a finger on her chin in thought. "The Mall?"
"..Sure."
Pan smiled, and pushed herself from the door.. "Great. Then maybe later we could go to our spot." Walking to her closet, she grabbed a change of clothes and entered her bathroom.
Cosing the door behind her, she couldn't help but smile to herself. She still couldn't believe she finally dating Natsume. Just that thought made the butterflies flutter around in her stomach more. Holding back the girlish squeal that threatened to come out, she took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. She thought it was impossible of finding someone better than Trunks, but she was wrong. And she couldn't have been more happier to know she was wrong.
The feeling that this would be one of the best choice's she made in a while entered her midn. She couldn't wait to know what was waiting for her in the near future.
"Need help getting dress?"
Her cheeks flashed a bright red, and she clutched her clothes to her chest.. "Pervert! Just go let my Dad know we're leav!ng," She snapped, moving further into the bathroom. She could hear the smirk in his deep chuckle.
Yeah, thing's surely won't be boring between them two.
~~~~~~~~n.n
Pan tightened her hold on him as she lead him inside the enormous Mall.
There was many people swarming around of all age's. She loved how lively this place would always be. Grasping his arm tightly, she gave a bright smile his way. "Where should we start?" She smiled.
Store after store they went. They spend the first few hour's just enjoying each other's company. During their time together, not once did her situation with her and Trunks cross her mind.
They spent more than a few minutes in one store than they had in the past one's, Natsusme noted. He glanced around the colorful store in slight boredom. He had lost his girlfriend after she dove into a small pile of "Adorable clothes," as she quoted. He was in no rush to find her, seeing as he heard her giggles in different direction, telling him she was having a blast, and who was he to interrupt her fun.
Walking around, there was moments where he thought back to what his Brother had told him last night. He sneered lightly. He wouldn't dare put her life in danger. He'll continue to look after her, protecting her from everyone who dare tries to harm her. His Brother was stupid if he think's he'll just give up on her.
When he came to a stop when she stood just a few feet away from him. Pan held up a shirt that was three sizes smaller than her, and placed it against her, and smiled. When she seen his blank expression, she gave him a look. "It's for the twin's." She clarified.
"Right." He nodded.
Pan raised an eyebrow and she placed her hand on her hip. "Did you really thought this was for me?"
"I didn't know what to think, to be honest." Pan laughed at his response, and continued to search through the rack. "Ayume is so bubbly. All about the brightest colors while Yui..wasn't. She's more into the darker color's."
Natsume shrugged, looking around the store. "Which isn't a problem. They have different styles. Plus, it's much easier to tell them apart. "
Pan rolled her eye's. "I just still don't understand why she hate's me so much."
"Don't take it personally, Pan. Your giving out your help, which show's how much you care for them, but in her eye's she believe's your only doing it because of their situation."
Pan snapped her head up at him. "But I'm not!"
"Yeah, you know that. She doesn't."
Pan fronwned to herself,. Thinking of ways to get the small child to like her. If her Sister liked and trusted her, why couldn't she give her a try? Look's like she'll just have to try even harder.
After purchasing the item's they brought, they exited the store. He took the bag from her, and held her hand in his and lead her in a different direction. Her eye's lit up once they arrived at their destination. He shook his head at her expression, not holding back his smirk as he lead her inside the Arcade.
He watched her go for game after game, a satified smirk on his lip's as she was having a good time. It's been a while since she appeared to be relaxed.
It was then his phone began ringing. Pan turned around and seen his calm demeanor was replaced to annoyance. At first he chose to ignore it, but when it rang for the second time, she gave him a smile, telling him it was fine. He excused himself from the Arcade to a more quieter place.
Pan watched after him. "Take your time." Turning back around, she began walking around. She watched other's go against each other in various of games.
During her time wandering around, her eye's caught one Machine that was all the way in the back alone. Walking up to the machinery, she jumped back as it came to life. Many light's flashing as a small theme played. It was a Crane game.
She walked up to the side and peered at the many stuffed animals inside. "Oh that is cute." She smiled at the thought if giving it to Natsume. Looking towards the exit, she spotted him still on the phone. He seemed to be pretty heated over what was being discussed over the phone. Looks like she'll have enough time to get it and surprise him.
Putting a coin inside, she grabbed the joy stick and began playing. She jumped back in alarm when a loud siren went off, along with a weird laugher. Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance at the laughter. She guessed they added the laughter to provoke the player and trying to get them to play again.
Well it worked.
~~~~~~~~n.n
24 Minutes later...
She face palmed herself once again as the loud siren went off for the Fourteenth time. Who knew she'd be terrible at games? "I should just break this stupid game," She growled, banging on the glass.
A gleam appeared in her eye as she brushed off all negative thoughts away. "I can't give up. I will beat you, you stupid machine!" She started the game up once again, not noticing the odd looks she was receiving.
A few more minutes (Over an hour by now) she finally pulled back, a huge smile on her face. "Yes!" She held up the stuff Dragon high.
Checking her phone, she was surprised to see how long she had been at one machine. "Hey, where do you want to go next?" She asked, looking behind her, only to see a large crowd surrounding her, cheering? When did this happen?
Giving out a confused smile each way, she pushed past the strange crowd, looking for her Android boyfriend, but stopped in realization. Right, he was still on the phone. She began making her way towards the exit. The audience that had surrounded her let out an alarming scream when the machine suddenly collapsed.
Exiting the arcade, she looked left and right but didn't spot the Raven haired Android anywhere. She didn't think one phone call would be tke this long. She just hope everything was okay with him.
Coming out of the small shop, she sipped her drink loudly, growing irritated by the minute. She spent 20 minute's looking for him and came up empty handed. "Where could he had gone to?" It's been nearly over an hour since she last seen him. She frowned, peering over the rail, trying to spot him. "He better not had ditched me." She muttered darkly. Pushing herself away from the rail, she turned.
Turning a corner fast, her drink fell from her hand's as she and another crashed onto the floor.
"Hey!" Came a whiny voice. "That hurt's!"
Pan sat up worriedly. "I am so-" Her word's was caught in her throat at the sight of the girl. The girl that she had bumped into was...breath taking! Her straight snow white hair sat perfetly dispite her fall. But what caught her attention was her dark cherry red eyes.
Realizing that she was staring, Pan shook her head, blushing madly. "I'm incredibly sorry!" She scrambled to her feet, and pulled the girl up. Pan's eye's lowered to the girl's dress. She wore a strappless Black flowery dress, that stopped at her mid thigh, lace at the hems adding an inch or two. And for accessories, a shiny white belt around her waist. But the image was ruined with a huge wet stain in the center.
The girl noticed her dress as well, and pouted. "My dress.." Despite the bittersweet color of her eye's, they appeared to hold warmth, kindness, and..sadness? "You really should watch where your going, you know," Her voice was too soft, almost childlike.
"I'll pay for a new one!" Pan offered. It was the least she could do.
The girl looked up, secretly eyeing teen before smiling kindly. "No, that's okay. It was my fault as well."
Pan frowned in confusion. That wasn't expected. Normally people would have a fit if their dress was ruined. She know she would have. "Are you sure?"
The white haired girl nodded. "Positive. I'm kinda in a rush. I'm looking for a friend."
Pan let out a small laugh as she reached down to pick up the now empty cup. "Your not the only one," They both walked over to the trash can and Pan threw it away before turning to the girl. She was about the same height as her, she noticed. "Then let me help you. It's the least I could do."
"But what about your Friend?"
"He'll be fine." Pan waved off. She grabbed the girl's hand and led them both to the nearest bathroom. "My name is Pan, by the way,"
"Chisaki." She nodded.
Opening the bathroom, they both walked toward's the sink's. "So, Chisaki. Where was the last time you seen your friend? Near the Fountain? Or the food Court?" She asked, grabbing many paper towels. She did her best to dry the girl off.
The girl, Chisaki, lowered her gaze, a smiled sadly tugging at her lips. "The last time I saw him? We was in a Park.."
Pan raised an eyebrow at her answer. If it was in a park, why was she looking for him in the mall? She was about to question the girl when she continued.
"But when I went by, it was gone.. Nothing but Grass, and bull dossers..." She placed a strand of hair behind her ear. "I guess everything Has changed."
Pan looked back at the girl from the corner of her eye curiously. Pushing all the thousand question's aside, she stood up straight and sweat dropped. The stain just grew darker with all she did. "Im sorry, Chisaki."
Chisaki blinked, as if coming back and stared down at her dress. "Oh, I told you it was fine, Pan."
Exiting the bathroom, Pan pulled the girl along. Stepping onto the escalator, and Pan glanced over the head's of peple in front of them. Natsume was going to hear a lot from her.
Stepping off the moving stairs, she continued to walk when her frown instantly came back. "There you are!" Grabbing Chisaki's hand, she tug the girl along. "Why the hell did you just leave me like that, idiot! You had me looking all over the damn mall for you and- Hey! Are you even listening to me?!"
But he wasn't. His attention was on the girl behind her who held a different look. A look of surprise mixed with happiness.
Pan noticed this and turned around and was taken back when tears began rolling down the girl's pale face. "N-Natsume..." She took two small step's forward, getting a better look. Her eye's scanned his form thoroughly, taking in all the little changes made to his appearance. And just the thought of her missing every bit of his changing life brought more tears to her eyes. Throwing away Pan's hand, she couldn't resist jumping on him and cried into his chest. "I'm so glad your here!"
"C-Chisaki?" Natsume jumped back alarm at the sudden embrace.
Chisaki turned around and gave Pan a smile. "Thank you so much, Pan! I don't know what I would have done if I didn't see him soon!" She laughed. "I'd probably blow up the mall!"
Pan gave a look Natsume's way, and he quickly detached her arm's from around him, and yanked Pan closer him. Chisaki stumbled back, and looked between the two suspiciously. "Natsume-"
"Let's go." He turned around, tugging Pan with him. Chisaki could only look at the two retreating backs. This wasn't how she pictured meeting him after all this time. Just waking up, it was a miracle she was able to find him sooner than she had thought, and now that she has..it should be perfect. A lasting Love has finally reunited from separation and he does everything that wasn't as she had pictured.
Her Cherry colored eye's harden at the two, mostly focusing on the shorter hair teen. She took a step closer, mind set on yanking the girl out of his arms and destroying her when Pan surprisingly did the job herself. "Wait a minute, Natsume. H-How do you two know each other?" Pan demanded.
Natsume licked his lips, his own anger rising. "Pan, not here-"
"He's my boyfriend. Who are you?"
Pan turned to her, hoping she heard wrong. Pointing a finger at herself, she walked back up tothe girl. "He's my boyfriend, Chisaki." Both girl's turned to him.
Natsume lowered his eye's in annoyance.
~~~~~~~~n.n
Pan sat back on the bench, she crossed her arm's, along with her leg's and glared at everything, not meeting his gaze. This had better be one sick joke he's pullin..Because if it wasn't, her Father might have a new target to go after.
Natsume ran a hand through his hair. When he got that phone call from Mariko, at first he had thought it was just more bullshit from her Crazy Father, but no, it just so happens to be her, of all people.
"She's not my girlfriend." He started off, looking into Pan face with the most seriousness. "We've dated years ago, And I ended thing's with her."
Her eye's shifted over to his, blazing. "Then why has she been looking for you?"
"How the hell would I know? I haven't seen her since then!"
Pan leaned back, and turned her head away from him again.
Natsume sighed. "Pan," Taking a step closer, he grasped her chin ever so lightly turning her head back to him, only for her to slap his hand away. "Pan I wouldn't cheat on you. We literally just started dating."
Chisaki watched from afar with distaste of the two. It's been so long since she's seen him, and when she finally finds him, this..Pan-girl is in the picture. It was bad enough she has to deal with Mariko, and other's in the past, but another one? She was not letting another person catch his intrest, and becoming a possibly threat to her and her plan's.
Stretching her lip's in a perfect smile, she made her way towards the two.
She wrapped her arm's tightly around his waist, and sighed dreamily."Natsume!" She glanced down at Pan in half intrest. "Natsume, who is she?"
Pan frowned at her, but Natsume anwered her question. "Pan, is my girlfriend. Chisaki." Natsume said, bringing her around in front of him. He took a step back, giving them space. "What are you even doing here?"
Chisaki pouted as she purposely bounced in his line of view from Pan. "Why aren't you happy to see me? I thought-"
"You thought wrong." He interrupted. "I ended things between us for a reason. What part don't you understand?"
She gave a confused look. "No you didn't.." Pan shook her head lightly, not believing this was happening.
She ignored the murderous glare he threw her way and grasped his hand's in her's, and held on tight with unbelievable strength. "I don't know what your doing, Natsume but please stop. Tell Pan the truth about us."
Natsume snatched his hand, giving her a incredulous look. Her grip was strong..too strong for a Human. "..That was all in the past, Chisaki."
Chiski was near to tear's. She too a s step closer to him. "Why are you doing this? So, I left and when I come back, I find you with someone else? Being gone doesn't change the way Ifeel for you, Natsume. And being that I still love you, that should mean something to you. Y-You can't throw away what we had. What we felt!"
Pan faced the other way on the bench. So this girl- Chisaki..has actually been his girlfriend all along? Well, ex-girlfriend.. She didn't know, but what she did know, she felt disgusted. And to think he actualy meant every word in his confession.. Just wait until her Father hear's about this..
"Okay, I'm done with this."
Natsume pushed the small teen out of the way in time to catch Pan's wrist. Her eyes flared as she teared her wrist from his grip. "Stop." She warned.
Natsume watched as she turned her back on him. He couldn't shake the panic feeling tugging within him. Just the thought of her leaving him left him crushed. He needed her. He reached out for her one last time but stopped when she lifted her phone to her ear. "Hello?"
"Pan?" Pan's face paled at the recognizable voice. "Pan, it's me, Bulma. Where are you, sweetie?"
Pan swallowed nervously. "Um..is something wrong?" Natsume watched after her as she walked further away from him. He didn't even feel the white haired beauty's arm wrap around him, trying her hardest to gain his attention.
"I've been looking all over for you! Where are... Ah! I see you! Don't move!"
"Wait what-"
The line went dead.
Pan stared at her phone astonished. How did she-
How the f- Ughhh!
She wasn't even going to question that. She was the smartest women alive, of course she had way's to getting what she wanted. She had help, obviously. But what she didn't get was why didn't she not think or remeber to lower her energy to a human's. That was her mistake. She was so caught up in spending a day with her boyfriend, she wasn't thinking clearly.
Turning back to her supposedly boyfriend and...whatever that girl was to him.. She frowned at the sight. The girl, Chisaki was just as she thought: Breath taking. So she had to question herself of why would anyone break up with someone like that? Guy's would do nearly anything to keep a girl like that, and Natsume was far from being an idiot..so why? Pan unconsciously frowned. And herself...She wasn't anything like that. She was alien tomboy with a lot of baggage that just seem to grow more and more each day.
But she had to think rationally. What if Natsume was telling the truth from the beginning? But that still doesn't explain why Chisaki was looking for him.. The girl was strange. May'be.. She couldn't even tell who was lying now. Her head was starting to her, she was growing irritated by the second, and now she has to deal with the crazy Scientist
Snapping out of her thoughts, she focused on the two. The argument seemed pretty heated by the look's of it. But she didn't move. She didn't want to stop him from raging at the small teen. At least not yet, anyways. That girl deserves it. She just caused her to question their relationship, and it wasn't even long since he asked her out.
Pan shook her head. What was she saying? No one deserves this. The sight reminded her of Mariko and Natsume. How she always cowered away from him. How his form seem to always tower's over her's and seem's much bigger than her. And she wasn't the type to just stand and watch someone get attack. That wasn't her.
She began walking towards the two, when she stopped.
Then again, Natsume was going to get the same treatment from her.
Stop it! It still wasn't right! Plus, Natsume could handle his own aagains me, I doubt Chisaki could.
She continued walking, a small part of her already regretting ever getting up. With every step she took, his voice grew louder, reminding her that this was the right thing she was doing.
Seeing a dramatic change in his facial expression, she quickly jumped in front of him, and grabbed his wrist before he could grab the girl. "You wouldn't dare!" He growled out. He pushed Pan behind him, but only managed to take a step closer as he was yanked and thrown to the ground.
Why did that feel good to do? Pan held him down with some strength.
"Pan, get off!"
Ignoring his bark, she shook her head. "Natsume, we have bigger Problems. Bulma's on her way."
That seemed to catch his attention, but his anger remain the same. After snapping at her again, she put more force into his bend arm with a fierce glare. "Then don't do anything you'll regret." She warned.
"Trust me, I won't regret it." He muttered. It went unnoticed to the pair of her sudden interest in the small Saiyan.
After a few swearing a bit, and promise to not act out, she finally got off of him and held out a hand to him, which he took. He hissed lowly at the sight of Chisaki. Pan couldn't help but smile a little at the thought of Natsume being true to his word, but the questions still remain. May'be there was something more she has yet to learn about her new friend.
Sensing him about to act out again, she turned him and he seemed to calm down, but only slightly. "How did she find us?"
"I don't know but she's near." Pan answered. She glanced back at Chisaki as she took a step closer to the couple.
"Pan," Chisaki smiled. "I am very grateful that you've helped me, but I don't like competition. I challenge you to a fight." Out of all the horrible jokes Pan has heard in her life, this take's the cake. "The Winner shall get Natsume."
Natsume smirked despite what was said just a few moments ago, already knowing the outcome to this Challenge. He knew his girlfriend was one to say no to a fight if her opponent was much weaker than her, but it would be interesting to see Chisaki loose. It would solve everything- pertaining his relationship.
"Challenge accepted." Natsume turned to Pan, completely shocked but he masked it well.
"When are you free?"
"How about tomorrow?"
Chisaki gave a small smile, her eye's bored into her's. "Great, meet me here by 6:00, okay?"
"Sure, Chisaki." Chisaki held out her hand, and Pan shook it.
She gave Natsume one last look, and he didn't miss the corner's of her mouth curling up, almost in a smirk. Turning swiftly, she began walking out of the Park.
Pan shook her head sadly at the girl. "I feel bad for her, the poor thing." Her attention was soon taken off the retreating girl when Natsume grabbed her hand in his.
Shaking his head, he said: "Don't be." and pulled her into a tight hug. Pan's eyebrows creased slightly, but wrapped her arm around his mid-section as she sighed lowly. He wouldn't cheat on her, and she knew that. He's too good of a person to do that. But that nagging feeling kept tugging at her. She still felt something wasn't right? "She's trying to ruin me."
"What?"
"She threaten to tell you my secret, Pan."
Pan pulled away, but not enough to leave his arm's. "But I already know about you."
"She doesn't know that."
"Then I'll act surprise if she tell's me. You have nothing to worry about, Natsume. She couldn't break us apart even if she tried." He sighed, bringing her face to his.
Pan blushed as he lead her over to the bench, her face growing warmer. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye's. Chisaki knew about him, everything about him.. She had been the second person he let into his life, and what a terrible mistake that has been. He had swore that she would be the last, but..after meeting Pan.. He couldn't follow through with that promise to himself. He had a feeling she was different. And she was. He just hope she would always remain at his side, all the while having enough time to feel comfortable telling her about his situation.
He just couldn't right now. He could already picture her reaction. She would leave him. If he had to, he would keep it hidden under all the Secret's he's kept if it meant keeping her safe and in his arm's. He finally got someone worth keeping, and he was not going to risk losing her over his problem's.
He kissed the top of her head, pulling her in close to his body. And as far as regretting thing's in his life, he could honestly say he would give it his all to kill Mariko and Chisaki off, but that also meant trading off his Father as well. Life was twisted, but deep down, he has a feeling that thing's would turn out a bittersweet in the end.
"Pan!"
The Couple looked up to see Bulma running toward's them. When she finally reached them, she gave a breath as she smiled at the girl, but the moment she glanced over at Natsume, her smile faltered. Glancing back at the teen, smile back up, she placed her hand's on her hip's. "Are you ready?"
Pan looked up at the persistent Women with a unsure gaze. "Ready for what?"
"Did you forget what we discussed?"
"Oh.." Natsume looked between the two, not happy. "Um, Bulma. I have to see if my Father is okay with this first."
"Do you honestly think that's such a wise choice? You know how Gohan could be."
"Pan, you are not going with her." Natsume said. Pan glanced at him before back at the Scientist, but he continued. "She can't force you to see Trunks, Pan."
Bulma glared at the teen. "Excuse me, but I don't think this is any of your concern, Natsume."
Natsume glowered at her. "You can't expect me to just let her go off with you after what your Son has done. Why are you even doing this?"
"Like I said, this isn't any of your concern." Bulma hissed.
"..Let me call my Father." Pan said forcibly.
"What?"
"Pan. he might-"
"I don't care!" She snapped. "I'm not going behind his back again. It's his call." She stood up walked away from the two to give herself privacy.
Natsume and Bulma watched after her. He knew how Gohan would respond to hearing about this. But he didn't understand why Pan just didn't decline her offer. A blind person could tell she was plotting something. This women was sick. She had to be if she's willing to force someone into a situation like this and not regret it after. And as her Boyfriend, it's his job to lead her out of harms way.
Her light chuckle brought him out of his thought's, and he glared in her direction. "You don't stand a chance."
"You say so, but you don't know how we are."
Her smirk could almost rival her husbands. "Please, Trunks and Pan has history. What do you have?"
"I can help her forget all the horrid shit your Son done to her, replacing those memories with one's she actually wants to keep, as well as keeping her safe and happy, something your Son failed at doing."
Bulma turned to him, scrutinizing him. "Yeah, you don't stand a chance." She stated confidently. And for good measures, she added. "She doesn't even love you."
His fist balled up at those words but he choose to keep quiet.
Bulma took this as a sign and her eye's lit up in laughter. "Oh, what's this! You actually love her?" When he didn't answer, she didn't hold back on laughing this time. "How long have you two been dating again?"
"Enough." He snapped.
Bulma crossed her arm's, a more serious expression on her face. "Do you fully understand what the a Saiyan is capable of doing, or much of the history behind them?"
"I don't need to be Schooled by you." He sneered. "This..whatever your doing isn't going to work with me. You can't scare me into changing my decisions about her."
Chuckling, she glanced at the small Saiyan. "You know, I find this amusing. You giving it your all, but for what? Even you know it's futile. In the end, she belongs with Trunks."
"We'll see about that."
"Hey, dad."
"Pan, is everything alright?"
"Yes..Well, No. Bulma's here."
"Here? Here where, and with who? Natsume's with you, right?"
"Yes Natsume's with me but..Bulma's trying to persuade me to see Trunks."
She heard him sneer through her phone. "Don't you dare go, Pan."
"Dad, I'm not but.." Tear's began falling from her eye's. "I'm scared, Dad. I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it. It'll be on my head for the rest of my life if he died, and I could've prevent it! Dad, what am I suppose to do?"
There was a pause for a moment, and she thought he had actually hung up. "Stay there, I'm on my way."
"O-Okay," Hanging up the phone, she quickly wiped her eye's with the back of her hand. Good. Her Father was on his way to help her through this. Taking a deep breath, she turned back to the two. As she got closer, she could see the anger on Natsume's face had returned.
"What happened?" Natsume questioned, seeing her crestfallen face.
Her bottom lip trembled slightly, but she held back the wave of tears that was threatening to fall. She had to reminded herself that everything would soon be alright. "I'm fine." She sniffed. "M-My Dad is coming."
Bulma sighed, as she crossed her arm's. "Alright, Shall we grab something to eat while we wait?"
"No." Nastsume said rudely, but at the mention of food, Pan stomach began rumbling.
Bulma smiled. "Look's like somebody's hungry." She held out her hand to take but Natsume never gave her a chance. Glaring, he took Pan's hand and lead his girlfriend away from the plotting Women. Bulma only smirked after the boy, walking after them.
They sat at an Ice cream parlor, Pan and Natsume on one end while Bulma sat across from them. Pan slowly licked her frozen treat, her eye's watering in thought. The mere image made her appear as a small child that had gotten scold. So lost in her thoughts, she didn't even realize when Bulma placed her face in her hand and just smiled at her, also lost in thought.
Natsume glared at the sight of the twisted Women, contemplating on whether she should be added to his list. But he didn't ponder on it too long as he felt a familiar energy level just nearby.
"He's here." Natsume informed, pushing out of his seat. He tug Pan along behind him, Bulma not too far behind them.
"Dad!" Gohan hopped out of his Car before hugging his Daughter. He glared over his shoulder at the older Women who gave off an innocent look. "What do you think your doing, Bulma?"
"I appreciate your concern's, Gohan, but this is Pan's decision alone."
"You say that but your not giving her much of a choice either. You can not guilt my Daughter into doing what you want, Bulma. Now she's conflicted and can't make up her mind."
Bulma shrugged. "It shouldn't be that hard. Just think of it as saving a Partner. Pan, your a hero, it's your job to protect other's around you, not let them died. Plus, she also has to think about the consequences if she keeps her distance from him. He will pursuit you, Pan." Pan's hand's clutched the back of Gohan's shirt.
He tossed one last glare at the Women's wat before glancing down at the trembling child. He placed a hand on top of her head, causing her to look up at him. "What do you want to do?"
"W-What?! Dad-"
He bend down to her level. "I hate to say this but..she has a point." He sighed. "I need to know now. What do you feel for Trunks?"
"I don't like him, and I don't want to be with him."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! Dad, please help me!" She cried, Ice cream dropping onto the floor, forgotten. He pulled her into a tight hug. A pain tugging at his chest.
"Pan, Listen to me... We're going to see what he want's."
Her eye's grew twice it's size. "W-What?!"
"If it's unacceptable, we won't do anything." He pulled away to look her in the eye. "Do not guilt yourself. Don't even think about his his death because he's not giving a damn about you or what you want. If you don't like him, don't try to force yourself." He pulled her into another hug. "Your not alone on this." He muttered.
"B-But I thought you said-"
He held onto her tighter. "I know what I said!" He sneered. "But she does have a point. He will come after you Pan, and I'm still trying to figure thing's out myself, all the while keeping you safe. Natsume had a point, Trunks does keep finding a way to you, and by you avoiding him..who know's what other tricks he might have under his sleeves. Like I said, we'll see but it's still your call."
When he felt her body relax against him, he pulled away from her. "..Alright..."
"Alright, stop crying." He wiped her tears from her face, and couldn't help but glare at the sight. Getting to his feet, he turned to the smiling Women. "I swear if he touches her.."
"He'll be on his best behavior."
Gohan watched as she turned on her heels to her car. A small voice in his head told him to just turn thee other way, but the other half knew she had a point. If only their lives was different, none of them would have to deal with this.
"I still don't know about this, Gohan." Natsume spoke.
"Yeah neither do I.." He muttered. "Let's go."
Bulma stopped, and turned around to look at Gohan. "Your coming as well?"
He turned to her with murderous eye's. "I'm not leaving my Daughter in your hands." He snapped.
Entering the car, Pan intertwined her hand with him, and resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry," She whispered.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, Pan." Kissing the top of her had, he leaned his head against her's.
"I want you two to stay alert for anything." Gohan spoke once they was in the air. His hand gripped the wheel with force. "I already figured what she intends to do, getting you alone so he could pull something, but I'm not having that. I want both of you to be on your feet."
"Right."
"O-Okay."
Gohan gripped the steering wheel tightly as he glared at the Car in front of him. Just one time out of line was all he needed.
Their last unexpected visit, he could tell he was full of arrogance. His tone, the way he threatened him with his power level. Who did he think he was? He doesn't call the shots, and he doesn't order his Daughter around either! When Pan had went up to him after he and Natsume pulled her away, he was livid on the inside. What if he had done something else but heal her arm?
He was running out if option's of dealing with this.

At C.C..
"I just want to Spar."
Natsume mimicked Gohan's facial expression as they glared at the teen. They sat in the living room, opposite from the Briefs. "You can't be serious."
Trunks shifted slightly, sitting at the edge of the couch. He gave Gohan a quick glance before putting all his focus on the smaller Teen. "You scared me when I learned about that night at the School. And seeing you run out the School like that out of fear today, I just felt that someone as strong as you shouldn't have to deal with that. I just wanted to help you get stronger."
"I-i can spar with my Father."
Trunks swallowed and glanced at his Mother, who took the hint. "Pan, it's a harmless sparring match. " Bulma sighed. "There's nothing to be afraid of. The affects of the Moon had taken it's toll on him, but that's all in the past now. He's harmless."
"I promise I won't do anything your not comfortable with." Trunks said.
When Pan shook her head, refusing, Bulma frowned at the child. "Pan, remember what I told you at the Mall."
"Didn't I not say to not guilt her into doing anything?!" hissed Gohan.
"Gohan, you know what will happen! I'm just trying to prevent itit!"
"I thought you said the moons effect was out of his system, so why is it necessary for him to constantly spend time with him?"
Bulma looked at the Android as if he was stupid. "Like I thought, you barely know anything about Saiyans." She crossed her arm's, disgusted at the teen. "I don't even know why your with her? You can't help her with anything, Boy. Trunks is bonded to her."
Just hearing those words made Pan's stomach turn violently. She gripped the hems her shirt tightly, and closed her eye's and did her best to drown out the yelling before her. She didn't know how much more she could take of this. The constant arguing. The fighting. She just wanted this to end!
"Alright!"
Both Natsume and Gohan snapped their heads at her. She could feel all eye's on her now, but she gave a Natsume's hand a reassuring squeeze. Opening her eye's, she kept her gaze to the ground. "B-But I don't have my training Gi.."
Bulma smiled at the sudden change of mind. "You could just borrow one of Bra's."
Pan nodded faintly before standing up and heading up the stairs. Natsume stood up as well, not too far from her. She swallowed nervously once they turned a corner, but he didn't grip her wrist until they was far within the house. Forcing her around roughly, he nearly hissed in her face. "What do you think your doing, Pan?"
"I don't know!" She cried.
Natsume looked at her confusingly. "What?"
"I just don't want him to die!"
Natsume glanced away from her for a mere second before looking her dead in her eyes. "Pan. He's going to die regardless of what you do because of the bond. And I can only hope your not really believing what Bulma had just said. He's not perfectly fine because if he was, she wouldn't be trying to push you to train with him. It's just another one of her trick to get you alone with him."
"You don't think I know that?"
"I don't know. You seem to be playing along, and I..." He stopped himself before he said something he would regret. "Whatever." He started to turn when Pan caught his hand.
"And I what?" She questioned, angrily. When he only looked at her with angry eyes at matched her's, her jaw tightened. "I told you I don't like him anymore. Obviously I'm dating you!"
"Then why are you doing this?"
"Because I'm trying to fix things! I'm freaking tired of everyone fighting over this!" She snapped. Her eyes flashed her true emotion's. "And I can't believe you would even say that.."
"I didn't-"
"But you was about to..and that's close enough." Taking a step back, she turned away from him just in time as the tears came rolling down.
She was dressed in one of Bra's training Gi's. A Gray and Blue sport's Bra with matching Spandex pant's and boots. She was a little shaken up. She didn't want to do this, but if spending time with for a little would stop from acting like a Saiyan in heat, then she was willing to do anything. Specially since she doesn't want anyone dying.
Looking herself over, she grimace at the sight. She couldn't find none of the full body suit's in her closet which was what she was hoping for the most. She nearly teared up the huge room in hopes of running into one. Any one would have done fine. Not even a dirty one came to view. She sighed. It didn't matter even if she did cover almost every inch of her skin. If they trained hard enough, she'll come out with tear's in her suit. Possibly showing more than what she was wearing now.
She shook her head at the thought. She was scaring herself sick. She turned to the door. One more look at herself in the mirror would make her change her mind in a instant, and she knew she couldn't. Making her way to the door, she exited the room, closing the door behind her tightly. Bra was going to have a fit with her once she caught glimpse of her trashed room..
Shaking that small thought, she started down the hall. Being that the Reporters was still swarming around, they didn't want to take any chances and chose to fight in one of the smaller version's within the house. Once she reached the correct hall, she spotted Natsume leaning against the wall opposite from the door of the G.R..
He lifted his head up, but didn't catch her gaze as he hoped he would. Pushing himself off the wall, he walked up to her, full intention to talk to her. When she tried moving around him, he placed both hand's on her shoulders. "Can we talk for a minute?"
She grabbed his wrists and pulled them off her, avoiding his gaze. "I don't want to keep him waiting." She said, succeeding in moving around him. Just as she reached the door, he turned her around and planted his mouth onto her's.
She sighed angrily into the kiss but did little to stop him. He pulled her body close, going unnoticed by her as he opened his eyes to glare threateningly at the Saiyan through the window.
When he pulled away moment's later, he looked down at his flustered but frowning girlfriend. "I'll keep track of your power level at all time." Natsume said, kissing the top of her head.
Pan glanced up at him for a short moment before looking to the side. Turning on her heel, she stopped at the metal door, and spoke lowly. "Stay close."
He nodded.
She took a deep breath. Come on, Pan. The faster you get this over with, the faster you get to leave. You can do this! If anything, just think about that stupid jerk of a boyfriend and the kiss. Her face immediately flustered at that thought. Wait, no! That's a stupid Idea! You'll be distracted! Just..just focus!
Pushing the button beside the door, the door slid open, and she spotted the Saiyan in front of the control panel. Taking a deep breath, she walked forth, flinching slightly once the door slid closed behind her. She looked back and caught Natsume's gaze. Taking one last breath, she tore her eye's away from him and turned back around. She drew closer with small step's until she was behind him, hand's clasped in front of her, waiting patiently.
Trunks looked up briefly before continuing. "It would be nice if your little boyfriend didn't flaunt you around in front of me." Pan's face faltered. "Anyways, It's been a while since we sparred. So I want you to come at me with everything you got. Full power and all."
"Y-You want me to fight you at full power?"
Trunks stopped his movement's, and glanced at her over his shoulder questionably at her tone. "Yeah, what's wrong? Still feel pain in your arm or any where else?"
"N-No, but um..I-I don't want to hurt you." She glanced to the side nervously, biting her bottom lip. She tried not to flinch once the weight of the gravity changed.
"I think I'll be fine." He motioned her to the floor.
Pan was hesitant but moved to the center of the floor. She watched as he got down in a fighting stance, his face full of concentration. Her eye's wandered lower at his clothing- or lack of it. His chest was bare, showing her some scars from previous spars. Eye's going lower, she noticed he wore grey sweats instead of his normal training Gi, but stuck with his combat boots.
When her eye's trailed back up to his face, she noticed the bruise on his head had healed. Which brought her back to when he healed her arm just yesterday. It made her think back then when she had pushed some of her energy into him, hoping to heal him faster. She never thought it would work, but it did. And he had done the same, but in a more quicker pace. She couldn't question it as he did pull the energy swapping thing.
It was soon that she realized she was staring. Quickly muttering an apology, she slowly got into a familiar stance. He could see how nervous she was. Her body was trembling, and she appeared to already be sweating. Now the room was hot, yes, and he had put a little more gravity, believing she could handle it, but he knew those two choices wasn't the case. She wasn't even in the correct stance.
Her mind was somewhere else. Probably reminiscing of the bad he's done to her. He subconsciously frowned. It shouldn't matter because he was going to make thing's right with her.. even if it did kill him.
He dropped out of his stance, alarming her. She watched as he drew closer and took a step back. Trunks stopped and frowned slightly. "Do you trust me?"
Was that a joke?
He shook his head dismissively, as he continued his advance. "Don't answer that."
"I-I want to.." She suddenly said, causing him to look at her. She kept her gaze to the floor, but watched him from the corner's of her eye. She had no idea why she had said that but it was too late to take it back.
Once he moved behind her, her head snapped back, only for it to snap forward. "Just..what are.. you..doing..?" He gripped her wrist's from behind, positioning them as he kicked her leg's farther apart.
"Getting you in the right stance." He answered after a moment. "I can tell that your nervous. If you want to leave-"
"N-No! I want to stay!" She argued. "I need to get stronger.."
Trunks smirked lightly at her before moving in front of her. "Well if your so eager." Dropping into his stance once again, he held a more serious expression. "Ready?"
"Y-Yeah."
He watched her. Her body was less tense, but she was still nervous. The moment her eye's drifted to the side was the moment she make a mistake.
She let out a small shriek once his fist connected straight to her face. Her whole body had turned as she dropped to the floor. She held her aching nose, her eye's watering.
"Why didn't you move?" He snapped, moving closer.
She held up a hand, stopping him from getting any closer. Closing her eye's, she took a breath, trying control her nerves. "I'm fine."
He watched her slowly get to her feet, checking her nose for blood. She spotted some on the palm of her hand, but didn't complain. It was her own fault for not paying attention. Wiping her nose gently with the back of her hand, she got back into a fighting stance.
"Good. Because after this, I hope your on your feet." She lifted her gaze to him to see him frowning. He crossed his arm's over his chest and before she knew it, he fazed out.
Pan dropped out of her stance in a instant, her nerves running a thousand miles. Her head turned left and right, going into a panic state. She needed to calm down and focus! It's one little sparring match. She's dealt with worse before, and if she survived back then, she could survive now.
But truth be told, after this, she don't even think she'll even be ready to face that beast again.
You barely got out of the School a live.. I could have ended up like Marron. I should have ended up like her, if not worse. I'm weak. I couldn't even protect the one's that're close, and if I can't even do that, I can't protect anyone, period! I'm no Hero.. I didn't even know what to do! All I did was run and drag Marron down with me. It was my fault, my idea to go to the School that night, so why her? Why not kill me instead?!
What if he come's back. He will come back, and if it target's someone else...then what? I'd be in the same situation as before.
Shaking her head from her thought's, tears began making it's way to life. She couldn't do it.
Making her way toward's thee door, she wasn't prepared to be sent across the room.
"Never take your eyes off your enemy!"
~~~~~~~n.n
This session wasn't going as he planned. After her first attempt in leaving, he stopped her. And when her other attempts failed as well, the spar had came to a halt as she had at least two break downs, but he was surprised when she retaliated her anger into fighting. It had increased her determination but it had tired her out as well. And throughout the two hours that they've spent together, she has yet to land a solid punch on him. She never even came close.
Trunks eyed her form. Her drenched chest heaved heavily as she gasped for breath. Aside from her chest, her entire body was soaked from sweat. She stood on trembling leg's that was about to give out any moment. Her movement's was slowing down greatly but the determination and tiredness in her eyes remained. If he didn't stop this on going match soon, he was sure she would collapsed from exhaustion.
Sighing, he dropped out of his stance. "That's enough."
As if on command, her muscles gave out and she collapsed on spot with an harsh thump. Her groans and gasps echoing throughout the room.
Trunks smirked down at her before walking away.
She flinched when a light and fluffy item landed on her face. Grabbing it in alarm, she noticed it was a towel. She cranked her neck back to see him wiping his face.
She followed his lead and began drying her drenched face. Her muscles cried out as she struggled to sit but she ignored the pain and watched him as he walked to the Control Panel. Soon, the gravity dropped, returning back to Earth's gravity, and she let out a content sigh.
Her eye's followed him as he moved around the room, loosening his muscles. Dropping the towel on the floor, he moved back to the center of the room and dropped back down into a stance before attack his invisible opponent.
He seemed, relaxed.. A little too relaxed, which confused her. She remembered him mentioning about Natsume kissing her just when she walked in. Did he see them? Of course he did, but..
No. Natsume wouldn't purposely do that..would he? He know's that would just upset Trunks even more and probably make thing's worse.. But even if he did, the sparring match seemed to go..just fine. Not like how she predicted. But she was glad. The hard part was over, and she could now go home and relax. But more inportantly, she get's to be away from him. Far away.
But something still bugged her. During the spar, she had broke down because the memories kept finding it's way back. It gave her a small reminder of what was to come in the future, and it nearly scared her, causing her to break down the second time. And acting as if Trunks was her real opponent had just made thing's worse as she began panicking. And him never easing up once didn't help, nor refusing her attempts to leave.
He moved faster. He punched harder. He was more skilled and trained. She has yet to reach his level, and by the way thing's had went with this spar, she doesn't think she ever will. He would always get stronger, more powerful than her, and always have the upper hand in things.
But pushing that aside, she would have figured he show..something. He didn't seem to be the least tense from yesterday going on today. He mentioned that he was told everything that went on, and she doubt they kept him in the dark about Marron. They had just broken up, and now she's... It must be hard for him to have to deal with it.
If she wasn't too weak or afraid of him, she would have given him a small pat on the back in comfort.
"Do you miss her?"
Trunks spun around at the sound of her voice. "What?"
"Marron, do..don't you miss her?" Pan repeated.
Trunks looked forward in thought. "..Yeah, I miss her. Why wouldn't I?"
Pan shrugged, shifting her gaze to the tiled floor. "I dunno.. By you're attitude, I guess. You was told what happen and you seem not to care, or appear to be upset or grieving, is all."
"Was you planning on comforting me if I bawl my eye's out?" He joked. When she didn't laugh, he continued, his smile fading slightly. "And it depend's. If you meant do I miss her as a friend, then yeah. I felt the pain, but no tears was shed."
Pan frowned. "Oh.."
"But if you meant do I miss her as my girlfriend, then no, I don't." He met her stare. "It was probably for the best she broke up with me anyways.." He shrugged. "It was just never meant to be."
Her mouth fell open ajar. How was she suppose to respond to that? Comfort him? Give him the cold shoulder? Or change the subject?
If she comforted him, she didn't know how that'll turn out. She was loss for words, which meant she would have to use physical contact. She was not going to risk. Receiving punches for two hours was enough touching.
If she gave him the cold shoulder. He might flip it and throw all of the little cares he had for her out the window, which she didn't need. She needed him calm, and a good distance away from her.
And if she tried to change the subject, he could just easily ignore her attempt and jump back on track.
One it was. She needed to get on his good side, but no touching.
She racked her brain for words to scramble together and blurted out the first that came to mind in the term of comfort. "You'll..find someone who was like her." When he met her gaze, she blushed and turned away. "W-Well not exactly like her. Everyone's different. S-She'd want you to be happy after all! And.. Um..."
"I already found someone better."
She gasped when he was suddenly front of her, holding out his hand to her. Alarmed at his sudden appearance, she didn't grasped it immediately. Forcing herself to stay rooted in her spot, she closed her mouth quickly and her face heated greatly. Still trying to figure out how he managed to move in front of her without her knowing, she grasped his hand, and allowed him to pull her to her feet.
She was close. Too close. She stared into his eye's, waiting for him to drop her hand, and when he didn't, she tried, but he only held on tighter, taking a step closer. Pan began shaking her head, pulling her hand away. "Trunks, I-"
He licked his lips, frowning. "I know." He sighed.
She took a step back, the nervousness returning full force. "I-I should get g-going." Turning on her heels, she kept her head low, trying her best to fight off the blush she knew was there.
"You know I don't approve of this." His voice was slightly above normal and held a bit of anger. She didn't turn around, and clutched the towel in her hand's. She had no idea what his next move would be or his next words. He was unpredictable. She got him upset, but what was she suppose to do? Just let him stare into her face while holding her hand? She had a boyfriend who was waiting for her!
Trunks slung the towel over his shoulder, giving the back of her head a hard stare. "He better not hurt you."
"H-He won't."
"Good."
The Atmosphere was growing thick. Her hand's was becoming sweaty all over again as she swallowed the hard lump in her throat. Why was it becoming hotter all of a sudden?
Nodding numbly, she walked fast toward's the door, but as she reached the exit, she stopped. She gripped the frame of the door tightly. "Trunks.. Let's..stay friend's, okay?" When she didn't recieve a reply, she turned, and jumped slightly when his gaze seemed to intensify at the offer, and she couldn't help but feel as if she made things much worse.
"Be here tomorrow, same time."
Her face paled. "I-I-I have to come back tomorrow?"
He gave her a look that answered her question. She nodded stiffly. "Right." He watched her scurry off before shaking his head. Dropping back down into a fighting stance, he threw a fierce punch at his invisible opponent. Punch after punch, kick after kick, he began fighting harder as if he was fighting his real opponent.
But no matter how hard he punched, no matter how hard he kicked.. he still felt himself loosing.
Exiting the Gravity room; Despite the pain pulsing through her veins, she fell to her hand's and knee's, a weak smile appearing on her face. She let out a sigh of relief. She had made it through the spar un-marked and mated.
But she had to come back tomorrow..
Should she even risk that?
She had no choice but to. Just how long was this going to go on? She doubt he could live the rest of his life just sparring with her, that being his only time alone with her. If only it was that simple, but no. He just had to be complex. They all were complex!
Pan blinked when she spotted her Father and Vegeta instead of her boyfriend, talking hush tone.
Seeing his daughter stumble out into the hallway, Gohan moved toward's her, checking her over, mainly her neck. "Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, or touch you did he?"
"I-I'm fine, Dad.." She slowly pulled his hand's away from her face and looked down each of the hall's. "Where's Natsume?"
"I sent him to take a break. He was on edge, so I sent him to calm his mind. I believe he's in Bra's room right now."
She paused and glanced away her Father for a mere second. Bra's room? Why would he be in bra's room? She couldn't even answer that, afraid of what she would think of against the reality. The image of him and Chisaki was already glued in the back of her mind, but seeing him and Bra...that is a weird, disturbing image. Without another word, she walked at a brisk pace down the hall.
Without knocking, she threw opened the door, and spotted him sitting far away from the bed in her Computer chair. Bra was on her bed, accompany by..Goten. Pan averted her eye's from him after giving him a light glare before looking back at the two.
"Someone's in trouble," Goten sang, earning him a small giggle from the teen beside him.
"Your done?" Natsume asked, standing up.
"Yeah," She nodded.
Goten have a smirk at the two. "So when was you going to tell me you was dating my Niece?"
Pan turned her head away at the question, her face becoming red. "We..just started."
Goten nodded. "Well.. I'll accept, as long as you don't hurt her."
"I won't." Natsume said, walking up to her.
Despite the smile that was Goten wore, his eyes was serious. "You better not."
Wanting the attention off her and the relationship, Pan looked back at the two. "What are you doing here anyways, Goten?"
The blush went unnoticed to his Niece, and he shrugged nonchalantly. "Just..got bored."
"I thought you two was in a fight?" Natsume questioned.
"We made up." It was Bra who answered this time. And to prove her point, she wrapped her arm around his shoulder, and smiled big.
The Couple stared at them for a moment longer. Something didn't seem right.. "Wait, but wasn't you-"
"Pan?" Gohan stuck his head into the room. "Come on you two, get's go- Oh, Goten. Hey,"
"Sup." He greeted.
Gohan motioned with his head for the two to follow him.
Once the door closed, Bra took her arm's from around his shoulder, and locked her hand with his, resting her head on his shoulder. "So. How do you feel about Natsume dating Pan?"
Goten huffed, resting his head on top of her's. "As long as he treat's her right, I have no problem. They actually seem's good together, and I prefer him than Trunks anyways."
"You know he can't help it." She said lowly. "He basically went through a transformation, lost, and has to deal with the fact that she actually happy. Seeing her walking around with someone else.. That must be hard."
"It is. Seeing you kiss Natsume was something I never want to see again." Goten frowned. He kissing her forehead, already growing irritated.
"I won't.. I'm sorry." She turned her head to kiss him fully on the lips. "Be honest..Do you think that it's right..for Pan and Natsume to date? I mean, with the situation. That would cause even more problems, and we're barely making improvements."
"It's their choice, Bra. We can't force anyone to get together."
"I know that, but honestly. I'm all for them, you know. Trunks was dense to ignore all the sign's Pan threw, and still chose Marron. And being that he's a Saiyan and has nearly all of my Father's traits, I just have a feeling thing's are going to get much worse."
"What I'm not understanding is if what Bulma said was true, then why is it necessary for him to see her."
"Keep in mind he's bonded to her. It's a one side bond, which make's it more complicated." She reminded. "And I guess he's running out of options."
"So he chose to stick with being possessive and controlling." Goten scoffed. "Real smart."
"What else could he do though?"
"I don't know.. I'm just tired of this little family feud." Goten sighed. The frown on his face began to increase. "I bet you, if we didn't have Saiyan blood in us, we wouldn't have to deal with most of the bullshit now. Trunks wouldn't act the way he is now, Pan could be with Natsume without having to watch her back constantly."
Bra blinked, giving her own frown. "But.. then we wouldn't have gotten together..And we wouldn't be here... And Earth would be in constant danger."
"Okay then think of it like this. If we had the dragonballs, we could wish no enemies could reach Earth, or something, and we wish to take away our Saiyan nature, at least so we wouldn't have to deal with this."
"Being a Sayain can be good as well. Flying, being a hero, having people look up to us, that rush feeling, freedom.. And I doubt I'll be attracted to a regular guy. I like to see out of the ordinary, and dating a human wouldn't be that exciting. Which bring's back to what I said, We wouldn't have gotten together."
"I highly doubt that," Goten smirked. She giggled when he began showering her face with kisses. "With me without my Saiyan side, I can think of million's ways I could excite you. Plus, How could you ever choose someone over me?" He claimed her mouth with a soft kiss.
"The full moon was what brought us together. Well, you to me."
He shook his head. "The full moon gave me the courage to make a move. But without it, I admit it would have taken longer, but I would have still found you."
"You're so sure about that."
"Our Families has been good friend's from the start, it was only a matter of time."
She was about to ask him, if they was human's from the start, who know's when or if her Parent's would ever come together, and that his theory wouldn't be as how he pictured it, but she decided against it, and just chose to smile at him, loving how he appeared calm at the moment.
Her smile faded in a matter of second's when his hand gripped her's tightly.
"Bra, do you know how long..I've been waiting for you to notice me?" His voice was low, almost wavering. "I had this dream, that seem so real. And it was becoming real difficult to even stand next to you.. I couldn't..It felt exhilarating, yet scary. It's like it gave me this boost of energy, that made me see thing's even clearer. But what scared me the most was that I didn't have full control of myself. You was the one for me, Bra. I'm just glad you hadn't rejected me or else..I don't know what I would do or become. You save me from feeling..that. I hate being a Saiyan. You lose control, hurt the one's that are close, and once you come out of that state, it's already too late to undo what was done! I'm really starting to wonder if we was actually cursed with these power's."
"Goten, don't say that."
"Think about it. What if all the Saiyans had died by Frieza's hand's, the world would be in a better place."
"Goten, think clearly. Human's don't know about the dragonball's, and enemies would still appear to take over Earth. Us being here is a great help to everyone, and I'm glad some escaped, like your Father and mine. Without them, we wouldn't be here today, and we wouldn't be together right now." She tightened her hand in his. She let out a shaky breath, feeling a rush of nearly everything soar through her. "Goten, please calm down."
He pulled his hand away from her, and moved toward's the edge of the bed, givng her his back. "I'm sorry. But just the thought of ever hurting you, having you hate me..I-I can't.."
Bra moved closer, grabbing hs arm, fearing he would leave. "Even if you did..I-I wouldn't hate you." She moved closer, and was about to wrap her arm's around him when he snapped around, forcing her back.
"Don't lie!" He growled. "Your telling me you wouldn't feel violated if I just took your innocence without a second thought? What would you do if I lost control of myself-"
"I would have gave myself up to you!"
"Don't. Be stupid, Bra. " He stopped himself before he said something he was going to regret, and sighed against his hand. "I'm sorry.. I-I don't know what's wrong with me.."
Getting off the bed, she moved to stand in front of him. She brought his hand away from his face, and placed her mouth over his in a gentle kiss. She gripped his hand's tighter, urging him to respond.
Moving back to the middle of the bed, Bra climbed on top of him and brought her mouth back down onto his.
...This wasn't the best of my chapters..major's writers block tbh...I've been working on other chapters, and um.. How are you guys doing? Really curious... But advice: How to over come writer's block. I had cut some stuff back, added a little more scene's, and THIS is what I got.
Sooooo, I had taken two of the last Regent's I needed. Global and U.S. History. I passed Global with a 70 n.n but failed U.S. History with a 50 something. But I re-took the U.S. Test and I feel a little food about it, so finger's cross that I pass. It would be amazing if I was done with all, and could relax more with my last year of High School.
Please give support for me and let me know how you guy's think of this chapter!
Until next time.
Laterz! n.n
