1.36 Sleep

Luffy walked into the Hospital Wing, pausing when he saw Harry sleeping soundly. He didn't even take notice of all the gifts Harry's new admirers sent him. For a few seconds, he was silent before he walked over and sat down on a chair besides Harry's bed. He watched as Harry mumbled slightly in his sleep before turning a bit and then settling down.

The straw hat boy blinked.

"Oi," Luffy looked up and smiled when he saw that one guy who wouldn't be his friend. "What the hell are you doing here, Strawhat-ya? Nobody's allowed without permission." The older teen grumbled.

Luffy only nodded. "I know."

Law stared at the straw hat boy for a few seconds. Luffy didn't inch from his seat, causing the older to sigh before pulling up a chair and sitting at the other side of Harry's bed, holding up his wand. He mumbled spells as the first year watched, looking truly curious. Law sighed before he grumbled to himself something that Luffy couldn't understand before he muttered spells again. Luffy tilted his head to the side. "Do you feel her?"

The older blinked and stared at Luffy curiously. "Her?"

The boy nodded. "Her." He confirmed.

Law just stared before he shook his head. "No."

"...Oh..." Luffy looked at Harry.

Law had no idea what the boy meant and a part of him just didn't care. The other half…well, he was curious. But for now, he had to do his job. And thus, he returned to his spells. When he finished and looked up, he wasn't surprised to see that the first year was still there.

He watched as the boy just sat there. If he wasn't breathing, Law would've sworn that the boy was a statue.

The intern sighed before he mumbled, "Just don't disturb him." Then he stood up and went to Madam Pomfrey.

Luffy just nodded and went back to staring at Harry. Then the boy suddenly sighed and closed his eyes. He could feel it. A...strange sort of magic. It was covering his friend before him and though it was strange, there was a comfort behind that magic. Kind. Loving. Almost...

Like family.

His heart ached as he remembered the family he saw in the mirror and he wished dearly that he could see them as quickly as possible. Right now, some of them are here with him and he was happy. But others...he wanted to see them quickly. After all, he could no longer go and see them in the mirror since it disappeared after that night.

Shaking his head, Luffy returned his attention to the magic that surrounded Harry. He whispered to the magic softly and when the magic responded almost slowly, as though it's conscious wasn't there, Luffy only smiled. The magic...was there. Still.

To love Harry.

To care for Harry.

And most importantly, to protect Harry.

The entrance to the Hospital Wing opened softly and Luffy turned to see the man he would've least expected to come if he didn't know about man's old friend. He grinned happily at Snape who only scowled at the boy before his expression softened.

But when he looked at Harry, his scowl returned.

"Hiya Snapey." Luffy said cheerfully.

Snape turned his glare at Luffy but nodded.

"Did ya know that they thought it was you?" Luffy peered at Snape with questioning eyes.

The man scowled. "Yes." He managed to growl after a few seconds.

Luffy smiled. "I knew it was Squirrel. He had this weird guy stuck on his head." He said with a nod. He didn't take notice of Snape's eyes widening. "I didn't see him but I think Robin did. Also she called him...something shorts. I never heard of a name with shorts in them...does that mean that weird guy in Squirrel's head wears only shorts?" Luffy tilted his head, looking confused. "What about shirts? Or shoes? What a weirdo..."

He didn't notice Snape smack his forehead before the man turned and walked away.

The boy instead started to hum to himself. Then he looked down at Harry who suddenly groaned. Luffy blinked, doe-eyed before he watched as Harry lifted his hand to his face and rubbed his eyes. "...W-Wha...ugh. I...feel..." His voice was raspy. "...like...like I got hit by a truck..." The boy who lived muttered.

Luffy tilted his head. "Really? Does that hurt? I got hit by a truck once but I didn't get hurt." He said with a nod. "Everybody says that it's weird and that it should've hurt."

Harry didn't answer, either not realizing somebody else was there or just ignoring that outrageous comment. Luffy chose the first option. Then Luffy scooted his seat closer to Harry and smiled. "Harry, Ponfry said to sleep. So sleep."

Harry didn't say much but only nodded. He hasn't opened his eyes once during that small talk and before long, the boy was dead asleep.

Luffy only continued to smile as he watched over Harry.

Kura: I don't know about this one but I felt like Luffy would watch over Harry after all that...maybe...

Berry: ...

Kura: MEH! I like it! Yay~

Berry: …

Kura: Anyway…OH MY PIZZA! I'm over 200 reviews X3 I'm so happy! I never thought I'd ever get even near 200…in anything! T^T

Kura: ...and finally...the last thing I'm going to say here...OH MY GOD! I LOVE SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN! ...But now that I read it all (and frankly, I'm afraid to go to sleep because I might dream about titans coming to kill me O-o) I'm like...so freaked out about everything!

Berry: ...Damn, that manga is messed in so many ways but it's just way too good to pass up.

Kura: UGHH! UPDATE! I NEED TO READ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
