Temperance paced anxiously in the living room, Seeley watching her from the kitchen.

"Bones, you need to relax. It's just your brother." he said.

"How can I relax, Booth?" she asked, "I haven't seen him in nearly four years. So much has changed."

"And so much has not." he answered, "He is still the same big brother that you used to play Marco Polo with in middle school, the same big brother who beat up that kid on the playground when you were six because he pushed you off the swings. He is still your big brother, Bones."

"I feel like he is going to judge me."

"Why do you think he is going to judge you?"

"I don't know Booth, I just do. I feel like he has been judging me internally since the first time I called him right after I had Natasha."

Seeley set the utensils he was using down on the counter, and walked over to her. He pulled her into a hug, feeling her go rigid. She eventually relaxed, her face buried in his shirt.

"Don't worry about it, okay? Russ has been excited to see you and meet them since you first reconnected with him." he said, kissing the top of her head.

"What if Natasha doesn't like him? You know she'll be very vocal about voicing her opinion."

"Natasha is going to love him. She loves everybody, she hasn't met a person she dislikes."

"I just don't want him to be the first."

"He won't be Bones, I promise."

"You can't keep that promise, Booth."

"Just trust me on this one, alright? They're all going to love him." he said.

Temperance stepped out of his hug, giving him a small smile, "Thank you, Booth."

When Russ Brennan pulled up to his sister's house, he thought she had given him the wrong address. He knew that her adoptive parents were pretty loaded, but this loaded? He just couldn't believe it.

He was nervous, I mean, who wouldn't be? He was about to see his little sister whom he last saw in person when he was surrendering her over to a social worker. He was also nervous about meeting her kids, and this Booth guy. What if none of them liked him? Hell, he had been surprised when his sister said she wanted him to come out for a visit, he was still convinced that she hated his guts.

He rang her doorbell, wanting to run away for a split second after he did. He stood there for a moment, before the door finally swung open.

Temperance opened the front door, still not quite knowing what she was going to say.

"Russ." she greeted him with a small smile.

The two hugged, both feeling the same awkwardness in the air.

Russ stepped from the hug first, "You look great, Tempe." he said.

"Thank you," Temperance said, "please come in. Make yourself at home."

Russ stepped into his sister's home, not quite believing his eyes when he first stepped in.

"Damn Tempe, when you said your adoptive parents had money you weren't exaggerating."

"Mark and Stacey are very wealthy, their house is actually much larger than this one."

"Bones?"

Temperance and Russ both turned to see Seeley making his way towards the doorway.

"So this is the famous Booth I take it?" Russ asked, gesturing to Seeley.

"That would be me." Seeley said, shaking Russ' hand.

"Ma!" they heard escape from a demanding toddler yell somewhere in the house.

"Bones I'll get her, stay here with your brother."

"No Booth, it's fine. I'll get her. Russ can just come up with me so he can meet her and the twins."

Russ followed his sister up the stairs, still not quite believing what his eyes were seeing. The pair walked into the child's room, Natasha perking up immediately when she heard the door open.

"Hi baby, did you have a good nap?" Temperance asked the child.

The toddler nodded as Temperance lifted her out of the crib. Putting the child on her hip, Temperance watched Natasha point to Russ.

"Who dat?" she asked.

"That's my brother, he is your uncle. His name is Russ."

"I have bubby too."

"Thats right, you have a brother too. Can you say Uncle Russ?"

"Uncle Rush."

Temperance let out a small laugh, "Close enough. Can you tell him hi?"

The child waved, Russ waving back, "Will she let me hold her?" he asked.

"Of course!" Temperance said, "Natasha will you let Uncle Russ hold you?"

The child nodded, then reached for Russ. Russ took the child into his arms, the feeling of it being very foreign to him.

"Hi Natasha," he greeted her, "you're very pretty."

"I know." Natasha said with a shrug.

"Almost two years old and she's already exactly like you, Tempe." Russ said with a laugh.

"I pincess."

"You are a princess, and you're the prettiest princess ever."

Natasha smiled at Russ, her tiny nose scrunching up.

"Ma? Me watch pincess cuhcle."

"You want to watch a princess movie?" Temperance said to the child, "She calls DVD's circles." she said to her brother.

"Ya. Wif Da-ee."

"Okay, your father is in the guest room putting your Uncle's bags up, why don't you ask him if he wants to watch a movie with you?" Temperance said.

Natasha seemed to understand what Temperance said.

"Down peas." she said to Russ, the young man obeying the toddler's orders.

Natasha walked out of the room on the search for her father, and Russ turned back to Temperance.

"I'm surprised you let her watch princess movies Tempe." he said with a small laugh.

"I don't particularly encourage them, that's more Booth and Stacey's doing. But they keep her satisfied at different times during the day so I can't complain."

"Where are the twins at?"

"They're in their room, napping. They should be up soon, they usually wake a little while after Natasha does."

"I can't wait to meet them. They're all cute kids Tempe."

"Thank you." she said, "Why don't you go unpack your bags and settle in?"

"Sounds like a plan." Russ said, starting to walk out of the room, he turned when he made it to the doorway, "Tempe?"

"Yes?"

"I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, Russ."

Russ plotline still isn't finished, it'll continue for the next chapter or two.
