Kate knocked on the motel room door as she held three cups of coffee in her other arm. After her second knock the door opened to a sleepy looking Dean.

"Morning." Kate said holding up a cup of coffee as he held the door open wider for her to come into the room. As she passed him, she gave him the cup.

"Thanks." Was all he said, taking the cup from her and drinking from it. Kate went over to the table and set down the extra cup that was for Sam.

"Wow, Sam must have stayed up all night doing research." Kate said looking at the piles of papers on the table and chair; along with the list of notes written down on a pad of paper.

"No, Sammy went to sleep not long after you left." Dean said going to sit down on his bed as he continued drinking from his cup. He leaned back against the headboard and closed his eyes as he drank the coffee.

"You mean?" Kate said turning to look at Dean. "You stayed up all night doing all this?" Kate pointed back to the table.

"I didn't stay up all night." Dean said opening his eyes seeing Kate smiling at him. "It's nothing. Figured it was best knowing everything we could before we started talking to people." He added, swinging his legs off the side of the bed.

"Thanks." Kate said looking back at the pile of papers. She knew how much Dean hated doing research, and she could also tell by how sleepy he looked that he had been up most of the night.

Dean sat on the edge of the bed, not knowing what to say.

"It was about time I gave Sam a rest from doing all research." He said standing up, "I'm going to grab a shower before he gets back, so we can get going." Dean said before grabbing his bag and heading to the bathroom, before Kate could say anything.

Dean closed the door behind him as he went into the bathroom. Dropping his bag on the counter by the sink before turning the shower on. All of a sudden he had no idea how to act around Kate. He told himself last night that he was up late researching because it was helpful for their case. Not just because he wanted to help Kate out on her first solo- almost solo case.

Over two months had passed since Kate had kissed him, all he could think about was her and when he would get to see her again. And now that they were alone together in the motel room, he ran off to hide in the bathroom.

"I'm losing my game." Dean said to himself pulling off his shirt and tossing it on the floor. He was not used to actually having to spend time with the girls he used to pick up. It would just be for the night and he would be back on the road. With Kate, everything was different. He actually wanted to see her, and talk with her. Why couldn't he stop being so tense?

Kate watched as the bathroom door was closed behind Dean. Once she heard the water turn on she went over to the table and started looking over the different notes and papers. But she couldn't keep her mind on what she was reading. Kate knew it had been awhile since she had gone out with a guy; but she really thought that Dean was going to kiss her last night before Sam interrupted him. Maybe she was wrong.

Kate was still thinking about Dean when the motel room door opened and Sam walked in.

"Hey, Kate." He greeted her with a smile.

"Morning Sam." She responded without looking up at him.

"You alright?" Sam asked seeing the confused look on her face.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Just going over everything." She said holding up a few papers in her hand. "I got you a coffee." Kate pointed to the cup on the table with the papers that were still in her hand.

"Thanks!" He said putting the bags in his hands down before reaching for the cup.

"What's in the bags?" She asked giving up on reading the notes.

"New clothes; our old suits are a little too old." Sam said sitting down on his bed next to the bag.

"That reminds me, I should probably go get dressed." Kate set the papers back on the table and picked up her coffee cup as she stood up. "I'll be back shortly." She said before leaving the room.

A few minutes after Kate left Dean came out of the room with a towel around his waist.

"Did you get me a new suit too?" He asked seeing Sam sitting next to the bag.

"Yup." Sam said taking out a folded pile of clothes for his brother.

"Where did Kate go?" Dean asked seeing that she wasn't in the room anymore.

"She went to get dressed."

"Oh." Dean took his clothes and went back into the bathroom.

Kate heard a knock on her door just as she was walking out of her bathroom zipping up the back of her skirt. Going over to the door she looked in the peephole and saw Sam and Dean standing outside.

"Just give me a minute." She said as she opened the door for them to come in. "I need to put my hair up."

"No problem." Sam said as he came into the room first with Dean following behind him.

"So what is our game plan for today?" Dean called to Kate who went back into the bathroom.

"I figured it would be best if we split up and went to talk with the two families, see what we can find out from them."

"That's a good idea, since so far we are coming up empty. We need to link these two men together somehow." Sam said sitting down on one of the beds in the room.

"The only thing we have so far is the marks on their bodies. And that we don't even know anything about." Kate said coming out of the bathroom.

"Ready?" Dean asked as he saw her come out in her pencil skirt, white blouse and hair up in a bun. All she needed was some glasses and she would look like she just walked out of one of his school teacher fanatics.

"Yeah, almost." Kate said as she went across the room and started looking around the night stand.

"Do you need help finding something?" Sam asked when he saw her looking around.

"Umm, my glasses." She said going back towards the bathroom to look.

"Glasses?" Dean called out, "Are you going for the stripper teacher look?" He said more to himself.

"Dude!" Sam said smacking his brother on the arm, having heard him. "You really need to separate your reality from porn."

"I can't help it, just look at her!" Dean spoke softly, just before Kate walked back out into the room, not having heard anything they had just said.

"My sunglasses." She said before spotting them by her room key on the table next to her jacket. "All right! Ready to go?" She put the sunglasses on and turned to look at the two brothers who were now both looking at her.

"Uhh, Yeah. Let's go." Dean said quickly before she asked them why they were both looking at her.

"Why don't I go with Kate." Sam said moving towards the door.

"Probably a good idea." Dean said following him out with Kate closing the door behind them. Dean quickly walked over to the Impala and got it. As Sam waited for Kate to lock up and they walked over to her Jeep.

"Is everything ok with Dean, he seems a little out of it?" Kate asked Sam as they walked together.

"Yeah, he's fine. Just lack of sleep that's all."

Both vehicles pulled out of the motel parking lot and drove off in different directions. All three of the people in the cars were hoping that they would be able to learn some helpful information from the families they were going to talk to.
