SURPRISE! I GOT CHAPTER 34 DONE EARLIER THAN EVEN I EXPECTED!
I am so excited for the battles in this arc that I do not want to waste your time so here is Chapter 34! Enjoy it! :D
Chapter 34: Power Plant Assault Part 1
July 30, 20XX 18:15
Endsville Elementary School
"So you're attacking at 19:00?" asked Fusion Hector via a communicator he was given by Jason.
"That's right. Meet us at the Power Plant at 18:45. Billy, Mark, Serah and I are going to be going ahead of the others to wipe out some of the Fusion Monsters that are going to be in the way of the assault. We want to keep as many people alive as we can for the assault."
"Flame Princes, Gwen and I will take out any Fusion Monsters we come across along the way."
"Alright. The time is currently 18:15. We're heading out now. See you in 30 minutes, and remember to keep out of sight of any humans. We don't want any of you getting killed."
"Right. Over and out." Fusion Hector then turned off his communicator and faced his comrades. "Are you two ready?"
Fusion Flame Princess's hands burst into flames. "I'm ready to go. Gwen?"
Fusion Gwen cracked her knuckles. "As ready as you are."
Fusion Hector nodded, slung a few belts with rockets on them over his shoulders, and picked up a pair of Bambooms (rocket launchers constructed from plants). "Let's go."
Endsville
Jason shut off his communicator stared at what was left of Endsville. He and the other Subjects were standing atop the cliff they stood on when they arrived and all of them were armed and ready for combat. Not only did they have their weapons already out and ready to go, but they each also had a Nano out. Jason had Nano Buttercup sitting on his shoulder, Nano Eddy was floating beside Billy, standing beside Mark was Nano Jack, and balancing on Serah's head was Nano Ilana.
"You all ready to go?" Jason asked everyone.
"Hell yeah." said Billy.
"Let's take back Endsville." said Mark.
"And find Jason's sister." said Serah.
Jason took out the photo of him and his sister one more time and looked closely at it. This time he had two drives; the first was to eliminate Professor Plutonium and the second was to rescue his sister, and he was not going to end the mission until she was safe and sound.
Serah noticed the picture and cleared her throat. "Alright. So, we've all agreed to meet up with Bannon, Ace, Arthur, Teddy, Conner, and Sam later so now let's discus the roles of the Nanoes."
Jason put the picture away and turned to face everyone. "Right. Here's how it's going to go. Once we come across the first monsters we are going to need a power boost to push through them quickly. Ilana, I'm hoping we can rely on you for that."
"You can count on me." She said.
"We're also going to need some jump boosts to get over the giant tentacles and the hole and trenches that were made by the Fusion Tentacles popping in and out of the ground. Jack?"
"It would be my honor to assist you all in this mission." Nano Samurai Jack bowed.
"Right… We're also going to need some healing. It's obvious we're going to need healing during our assault so Eddy I'm leaving that up to you."
"I'll try not to let you down." He said smirking.
"And last but not least, Buttercup, we're going to need some help with dealing with the big enemies so I need you to stun them to weaken them. Alright?"
"Alright… You know, it's been a while since we've worked together." She said sentimentally.
Jason smiled as he remembered all the times they fought together. "Yeah. It has been a while. It'll be just like old times."
"Yeah." She smiled. "Just like old times."
"Sorry to break it to you two, but we've got a job to do." Said Billy.
Jason looked at Endsville and drew his Wrench-Sword while everyone else drew their other weapons, except for Serah who merely cracked her knuckles. "Yeah. On three we charge."
"One."
Everyone moved up and stood side-by-side.
"Two."
Everyone got ready to jump.
"THREE!"
Everyone charged and leapt off the cliff, plummeting to the town below them. They managed to land on their feet atop one of the tentacles and began to slide down it towards a group of Baron Bloodsuckers.
"Ilana!" shouted Serah.
"Right!" She clapped her hands once and shouted "Galalunian Surge!"
The group then felt an increase in their strength and as soon as they hit the ground they charged into battle. Serah demolished most of them with her fists and a couple of kicks while Billy sliced through the rest of them quickly with his short swords. Jason and Mark managed to kill a few as they ran but they didn't kill as many as the others.
They then continued their charge forward, slicing and smashing their way through every Fusion Monster that got in their way. The Nanoes were also helping fight; Nano Jack was slicing through them with his katana, Nano Buttercup and using her heat vision to burn them to a crisp, Nano Ilana was spinning like a top and cutting them to pieces, and Nano Eddy was punching through them with surprising strength. It didn't matter if they were Mummy Monsters, Baron Bloodsuckers, or Spooky Streetlights, no enemy stood a chance against the combined powers of all eight of them.
Along the way Eddy would heal everyone, shouting "Jawbreaker Break!" which was the name of his healing ability.
Then they came across the Fusion Monster Bosses; two Big Ol' Mummy Monsters, three Baron Brampires, and a Super Spooky Steetlight. The six of them all stood in their way, blocking the path to the Power Plant.
"Buttercup! You're up!" Jason shouted.
"On it!" she snapped her fingers and all of them stopped moving. "Do it now!"
"Mark, do that top-like move to slice through the Big Ol' Mummy Monsters!" Jason yelled as he shot his pistol with explosive ammo at the Super Spooky Streetlight, blowing it's head right off and making it to dissolve into Fusion Matter.
Mark launched himself into the air with his katanas drawn and spun like a top at an incredible speed. Before the Mummy-like monsters knew it, Mark was tearing into them like a saw. Fusion Matter began to form as they slowly melted away into what they were made of.
Jason then aimed his pistols at the two remaining monsters and fired away, shooting both his acidic ammo and his explosive ammo. Serah and Billy joined in on the barrage of bullets, but not before the two became unstunned. One of the Baron Bransuckers raised one of it's arms and smacked Mark into Billy, but lucky for them they landed against a Fusion Tentacle, softening the landing. Nano Eddy then swooped in and healed them both.
That left Serah and Jason to take care of the two giant Fusions Monsters. Jason concentrated his fire on the first of the two and each time one of the acidic shots hit and melted a hole into the monster he would fire one of his explosive shots right into the hole, damaging the inside of it. He was literally tearing apart the monster from the inside out. Serah however was using her hammer to whack the other one's limbs to make it lose balance. Together with Nano Ilana the two forced the beast onto it's back and she finished it off by smashing it's skull in.
Once both of the monsters were dead the four continued their charge through Endsville. Each time they came across a gap Nano Jack would clap his hands and say "Abe of the Spirit", giving them a jump boost. After about 30 minutes of fighting their way through the ruined town, the four arrived at the Power Plant. They weren't alone though as they were greeted by their three Fusion partners.
"How'd it go?" asked Fusion Hector.
"Piece of cake. You guys ready to get us inside?" asked Billy.
"Well from what you described the army that is coming up behind you is going to expect at least a few of you here to help you get in. If we took you all in then it would be a minor problem as they would probably think you all died." said Fusion Gwen.
"To solve this problem we have decided to take two of you along with us to enter this place. That way two of you can stay here and make up some bullshit excuse as to why the rest of you are not here." said Fusion Flame Princess.
"Sounds fair enough. Wouldn't want to worry the others." said Jason.
"Alright. You need to decide on who is going in, and I recommend you do it quickly." said Fusion Hector.
All four Subjects gathered up and discussed who was going to go. The Nanoes had returned to the Nano Coms they came from so they weren't around to hear any parts of the conversation. After a minute of talking, the group broke up and faced the Fusions again. "We already had decided to send Jason in because Professor Plutonium is holding his sister captive, and we have also decided to send in Serah too." said Mark.
"Alright then. Gwen?"
Fusion Gwen held out her hand and a Fusion Portal opened up in the ground, surprising the group.
"Where did that come from?" asked Serah.
"It was buried beneath the ground a while back so we could leak monster out of the Power Plant. Though this one was abandoned as a more secluded location was found nearby to do that. We can use it to enter a tunnel into the Power Plant." said Fusion Gwen.
Serah grinned and strutted over to the portal. "Oh yeah. I'm gonna enjoy this."
Jason looked at Billy and Mark. "Be careful." He warned.
"We will." Billy said with a smirk.
"These freaks won't stand a chance against us." Mark said spinning his katanas in his hands."
Jason then faced the portal and scowled as he approached it. "Let's go." He said.
The three Fusions each grabbed a tentacle coming out of the portal and got sucked into it. Serah quickly followed their lead, yelling "Bring it on!" as she got sucked in. Jason was the last one to grab a tentacle and as he was being sucked inside it, he told himself he would not leave without his little sister. It was a big brother's role to take care of their younger siblings, and he was not going to fail at that.
Billy and Mark then heard some clangs sounding off behind them. Quick to respond to what the sounds were, the two turned around and saw a large number of Weird Welders walking towards them.
"I take the left half, you take the right half?" asked Billy.
Mark smiled at what Billy said. "Deal." He said.
The two then charged into the horde of Fusion Monsters to wipe them all out.
The Compound
Mandy stood before an army of Plumbers and K.N.D. Operatives, all of whom were fully equipped for combat. Instead of wearing her usual pink dress with a flower on it she was now wearing a black battle suit that looked like the ones that the Teenage Ninjas usually used. It was nearly time for everyone to move out and she wanted to say something to them all before she led them into combat.
"Listen up you worms! Today we are going to be risking our asses to take back a town that belongs to us! Under normal circumstances we would not stand much of a chance, but now we have support from the four strongest Subjects out of all 200 of them! Now is the time to act! On this day, the thirtieth of July, let it be known that this either is the day we took back Endsville or the day we died trying!" She raised up one of her arms and yelled at the top of her lungs "THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW! WE WILL NOT FAIL!"
There was a loud roar in the room as Mandy charged out the door to the forest near Endsville, the army following behind her. Closest to her were Sam and Bannon with his squad of Providence Agents; Teddy, Arthur, Ace, and Conner.
As soon as they entered the town the sound of gunfire began to sound off as a few Fusion Monsters began to attack, but thanks to the efforts of the Subjects there were not many Fusions attacking. From then on it was only a matter of reaching the Power Plant like they planned so they could invade it and take down the Fusion responsible for turning their home to ruins. The battle to save Endsville was finally approaching.
The Power Plant
Inside the security room in the Power Plant, Professor Plutonium stood in front of a large monitor, observing as the three Fusions, Serah, and Jason all charged through one of the tunnels. Ordinarily he would have been a little worried about them as he had not expected them to take the abandoned portal into the base, but with his new weapons and servants/assistants he did not feel any sense of fear at all. Instead he felt excited because of what he had planned for his enemies.
Beside him stood Fusion Bunny, Fusion Dracula (who was constantly licking his teeth and repeating his name for some odd reason), and a figure dressed in green combat armor with a green helmet on that covered their entire head. The three of them all stood at ready for their leader to issue them a command.
"It seems we have some guests on the way." said Professor Plutonium. "We might as well have someone go greet them." He nodded to Fusion Dracula. "Dracula, you know what to do."
"Why does it have to be Dracula? Dracula just wants to go back to watching TV." argued Fusion Dracula. "Why can't you make big and ugly do it? Or how about shorty here?"
Professor Plutonium sighed and shook his head. "Because you dim-witted fool, I told you to. You forget I can easily have you destroyed by Lord Fuse as I am one of his generals. Is that what you want? To be destroyed?"
Now afraid of the threat, Fusion Dracula held up his hands and backed away a little. "No no no. Dracula'll do it. Dracula'll kill those kids." He said before turning into a bat and flying off, quietly mumbling something about watching TV.
The Fusion professor then turned to face Fusion Bunny. "Bunny, I want you to go and wait with the Motor Raptors and the Motor Monsters and wait for the other Subjects to come in with their little "army". As soon as you see them coming in, kill them."
The large Fusion grunted and said "Bunny" before walking off. Lastly, the Fusion professor turned to face the armored figure and looked down on them. "As for you, Arreba, I want you to wait at the other end of the portal with the Weird Welders and the Weird Welder Foremen. As soon as any of them come through the portal, attack them. Especially those two." He pointed to the two Subjects.
Upon being given this command, the armored figure, Arreba, turned and left the room, carrying a Fusion Matter-infused Wrench-Sword.
Once Arreba was gone, Professor Plutonium typed in some codes on a keyboard attached to the monitor and the screen changed what it was showing. Now it was showing Fuse, who was staring at his general through the screen.
"They have come, my lord." said Professor Plutonium.
"I see. Sooner than I anticipated. It matters not though. You know what to do, Plutonium." said Fuse.
"Does that include doing 'that'?" he asked.
Fuse nodded his head and Professor Plutonium smiled. "Finally. I've been waiting to get rid of 'that'."
The screen switched off and the Fusion Professor turned to leave the room, grinning wickedly. "All hail Lord Fuse."

THINGS ARE FINALLY GETTING REALLY EXCITING IN THIS ARC! My heart was racing just typing up this chapter. That is how excited I am for all of this.
Surprisingly this has come out 5 days after the last chapter was released. In all reality, I never even expected to get the chapter typed up, but since I had free time during school as I am in shop week (working with computers), I was able to do this.
