The weeks following the trial were bliss for Willow. Elly had moved in with her and Matt temporarily and had fit right in with the family and also fit in with everyone at work. Willow loved having her there, especially as the day for her test was drawing nearer. She hadnt told Matt the date or time of the test, she had planned to tell him the night before as Amy was going to go with her. "Im so scared Elly. Theres so many 'what ifs' that are playing in my head" Willow said as Elly hugged her and said "Are you sure you dont want Matt coming tomorrow? You know that no matter what you have a loving, caring family here for you" "I need him here with Jas. Will you stay with them Elly?" Willow replied as Elly nodded "Of course Wills. I dont think Jasmine ever wants me to leave" she replied as Jasmine came down the stairs. "Shouldnt you be in bed Princess?" Willow asked as Jasmine climbed up onto Ellys knee, as Matt came down the stairs. "I want Elly to read me a story" Jasmine replied as Elly stood up and carried Jasmine upstairs, leaving Matt and Willow alone for the first time since the trial.
"Matt, you um, you know tomorrow is the day of the Amniocentesis test" Willow said quietly as Matt sat next to her and asked"Why didnt you say anything Wills?" "Ive been going back and forth in my brain trying to work out if i actually want to go through with it, and i do, despite the risks" she replied as Matt edged closer and said "Will, tell me about these risks. You shouldnt have to be dealing with this alone" "The baby could be born with a disabilty, either physical or mental. The baby could get Rhesus disease, tests could be inconclusive or i could miscarry" Willow said quietly. "Do you want me to come with you tomorrow?" Matt asked as Willow shook her head "I need you here with Jas. Mom is taking me" "You could have told me Wills. I could have helped" Matt said putting his arms around her. "I know Matt, im sorry. Its just everything has been crazy these last few weeks. I just want and need to get Victor out of our lives. Im just tired" "I know Wills, i know" Matt replied as he kissed her forehead, as the two lay on the sofa in silence.
Willow awoke early the next morning. She looked at Matt sleeping next to her and smiled before getting out of bed and headed to Jasmines room to check on her. She sighed as she watched her little girl sleep before heading to their home gym for a quick workout before heading to the outdoor ring and started on the punchbag. She didnt know how long she was punching for she didnt even stop when she heard a voice behind her say "I thought i'd find you out here" "I just had to come and blow off some steam Matt, im sorry if i woke you" Willow replied as she turned around to face him. "You didnt wake me Wills. You scared me a little when i woke and you werent in bed" Matt replied as he took a hold of Willows hand and continued "Its 430 babygirl, come back to bed" "I cant sleep Matt. Im nervous and scared for later" Willow replied stifling a yawn. "Come on Wills, youre exhausted. You need to rest before later" Matt said, as Willow nodded before falling to the floor. "WILLS!" Matt yelled as he dropped to his knees to check on Willow. Willow stirred after a few minutes, trying to work out where she was. "Matt, what happened?" she asked quietly as Matt picked her up and carried her inside. "You fainted Wills. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head and you just fell to the floor" Matt replied as they reached the house. "It was only for a few minutes, but it was scary Wills" Willow felt a sharp pain in her stomach but didnt say anything to Matt about it, but said "take me to bed Matt. Im going to try and get some more sleep"
Willow awoke again a few hours later. She looked at the clock next to her bed and sighed, 8:30. In just over an hour she would be on her way to find out who the father of her baby is. She got out of bed, had a quick shower, where she felt the same pain as earlier, and got dressed quickly. It was a warm day so she put on a maxi dress and headed downstairs where she smelled pancakes. She snuck up behind Matt and kissed him "You didnt have to do all of this Matt" She said as she realised that Elly, Amy, Adam, Nevaeh and Jasmine were in the kitchen too. "Yeah, i kinda had too. I had 5 hungry women to feed and two hungry men" Matt replied jokingly as he kissed her, as she grabbed a plate of pancakes, just as Matt did the same and placed them infront of Jasmine, who wolfed them down as the rest of the gang chatted in the kitchen until it was time for Amy and Willow to go.
"Wills, you know that no matter what happens after today, I love you" Matt said quietly as Amy and Willow walked out to the car, "I love you too Matt" Willow replied getting into the passenger side of the car as Amy was driving. Willow smiled at him as they drove off, just as Jasmine ran up to him and said "Ice Cweam"
"Thanks for doing this with me mom" Willow said as they neared the hospital "If Matt had come then he would have never shut up asking me how im doing and if I feel ok after this morning" "What happened this morning?" Amy asked, concerned for her daughter. "I woke up really early, like 3am, went out for a gentle workout to try and take my mind off today. Matt came out an hour and a half later, we had a talk and i collapsed" Willow said as Amy exclaimed "WHAT? Why didnt you say earlier? Are you ok?" "Im fine mom, i was only out for a few minutes according to Matt. I just want this over with" Willow replied, taking a sip of water. "So speaking of Matthew, have you two given any thought to names or wedding plans yet?" Amy asked on the sly as Willow shook her head and replied "Not really mom. All we've decided on is that we want something low key. Just friends and family" "What about names?" Amy asked, with Willow " I havent really spoken to Matt about it, but I have a name in mind if its a girl, Ruby Grace. To honor both our moms, no offence mom." "None taken. I think its a beautiful name" Amy replied as they pulled into the car park. "Wills, are you 100% sure you want to do this? You can wait until the baby is here for a test" Amy asked as she felt Willow grip her hand. "Im sure mom. Theres no going back now"
"Ok Miss Smithson if you'd like to follow me through to the examination room and we'll get started" the doctor said as Willow stood up and followed her through. "Is it ok if my mom comes with me? Im a bit nervous" she asked as the doctor nodded. "Before we do the test, we need to do an ultrasound to make sure..." The doctor started saying but stopped when she saw Willows face. It had gone white and she was positivley terrified. The doctor turned around to see a man staring at Willow, who whispered "Mom can you go try and get rid of him please?" "Of course sweetie" Amy replied as she stormed outside to confront the man. "Miss Smithson, are you ok? Would you like me to continue? And who is that man?" The doctor asked as Willow replied, "Thats Victor. Hes my ex and a potential father, but i havent told him im pregnant as he raped me. He was abusive in our relationship, both physically and mentally" "That man is so infuriating!" Amy exclaimed as she reeantered the room "How the hell he knows where you are and what you're doing is baffling" "What did he want mom?" Willow asked, already knowing the answer. "He wanted to know if the baby is his. I told him that we dont even know if you are pregnant and if you are, its Matts" Amy replied as Willow smiled and took her hand. "Thanks mom. You're the best" Willow said as she turned to face the doctor and said, "OK lets get this test done"
