Chapter 37:

Elsa's POV

I could feel my lips still throbbing from Jack's kisses. It was like he was trying to take back all the kisses we missed when we were apart. And 300 plus years is a lot. I sighed in content as I lay in Jack's arms.

Last night, I was pretty sure that I fell asleep in Jack's arms when we were flying back to the workshop. And when we reached the workshop, I woke up in my bedroom, and Jack was there, and then, I guess you could say that we spent the whole night kissing….

"Awake already?" Jack asked.

"Yeah," I said. I sat up, but got pulled back into Jack's arms. "Jack!"

"Snowflake, you should really know that if I got you back after losing you twice, then I'm never going to let go of you," Jack chuckled. I groaned.

"Jack, I know I got kidnapped right after we reunited after 300 years, but it's no big deal, I'm not going anyway," I sighed. At that, Jack sat up straight.

"Of course it's a big deal! You got kidnapped! And you were stuck in a cold necklace. Who knows if Pitch is going to do it again?" he shouted. I looked at him, stunned at his anger.

"Jack," I started, but he cut me off.

"No, don't say that it's alright. You…You were dying because of him! You could have died. You could have been gone! What was I going to do if you were gone?!" he asked. I looked at him, and smiled.

"But I didn't die. I'm still here. I'm sitting next to you. So don't worry. I'm a big girl, I can handle myself," I said.

"I know, just… I'm not taking any chances," Jack said, hugging me protectively. I laughed.

"Oh and just to clarify, it is Evil Uncle, not Pitch," I said.

"Oh right, your Dad told me," Jack said. I smiled, then realised what he just said.

"Wait, what? You know my Dad?!" I asked. Jack smirked.

"Yes Daughter of the Moon, Princess of the Stars. Mani was actually very nice. How long were you planning on keeping this from me?" he asked, smirking.

"Well, I don't know," I said. "What did my Dad say to you?" I asked, suddenly anxious to know what Dad said.

"Not much, just that you can read my mind and Pitch is his son," he said. I heard him add in his mind, "Mind reading, how cool is that?"

"Well, mind reading, Mr Frost, is awesome!" I said, smirking.

"Aw… stop it! Your Dad kept reading my mind and ending my sentences. Very annoying! And being annoying is my specialty!" Jack said. I giggled. Jack smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, you have to be a Moon," I said, before getting up. Then I saw what Jack was wearing. "Oh and have I told you how dashing you look in white?"

"What?" Jack asked, then he looked at his hoodie. "Oh." He looked at me, and smiled, "You're much more beautiful."

I blushed as I looked down at my dress. It was white, with sparkling diamonds like a sash around my waist. The top was strapless, and there were snowflakes around the top there. There were also snowflakes on the skirt.

I went to the bathroom, and took off the dress, because it was too beautiful for me to turn into my usual outfit. I slid my hand up and my usual outfit appeared. The hoodie and pants.

I walked out of the bathroom, to see a shirtless Jack. I stared. Oh. My. Moon. He had six packs and is…hot.

Jack noticed my staring and smirked. "Like what you see Princess?" he asked. Red in the face, I turned my head quickly.

"How is it that the coldest person on the planet is so hot?" I mumbled. Apparently, he heard that.

"I don't know if you mean me or you," he said.

"Stop it, and wear your hoodie," I said. I heard him laugh behind me. I could feel my cheeks going red. I reached up, and felt my cheeks. Geez, that hot?

"Aw… Elsie Welsie is blushing," Jack teased.

"Jack, stop. Come on, we have to go. I need to talk to Punzie about Flynn," I said, saddening at the thought of what Punzie went through. First, her husband dies and she lives on. Next, her husband appears out of nowhere and doesn't remember her. Lastly, he thinks she is evil and wants to kill her.

Jack seems to be thinking the same thing. "Elsa, what happened to Flynn or Eugene? How is he alive?" he asked. I sighed.

"Let's go, I'll explain when everyone's here," I said.

Punzie's POV

I looked at Eugene through my teary eyes. Each time I see him, it feels as if my heart takes a beating, shattering a little more each time he yells at me.

But even through all the shouting, I could see that he was confused. Like a lost little puppy. He wanted to know what was going on. He felt as if the truth he knew, wasn't the truth at all.

Just then, through a window, I saw the Northern Lights appear. North must have activated them to call the others. Sure enough, Bunny came hopping out of his hole. Next, Tooth came flying through the window with her fairies. And lastly, Sandy came flying through on his dream sand.

Just then, Elsa appeared by my side.

"Elsa!" I exclaimed as I rushed over to her, and engulfed her in a huge hug.

"Punzie! I missed you," she said, returning my hug.

"What happened to Eugene? Is he alright? What did Pitch do?" I started saying, but Elsa shook her head. She then made a ball of light in her hands.

"Can you make plants grow around the cage?" she asked. I nodded and commanded some flowers to grow around the cage where Eugene was sitting in. Then, Elsa divided the ball of light and placed each of the smaller ball of light on the top of the flower. Now the cage was bright enough to contain Eugene in it.

"There, now, you won't have to stay here all the time," Elsa said. I smiled sadly. "Hey, come on, I'll explain in the globe room."

We walked to the globe room in complete silence. Hiccup and Merida already explained to me how Jack brought back Elsa, but I didn't get to see her, cause Jack already brought her to her room.

We reached the globe room, and took a seat at the table there. When everyone was seated, Elsa stood up. "Well, I am back, thanks to Jack. And I know you guys are wondering what happened to Eugene," she started. I tensed up, and leaned in. "I'll start from the beginning."

"Jack probably told you we were at my ice castle. But then, Pitch came and got me when we were not aware of our surroundings," Elsa said, blushing a little. I could see Bunny and Merida smirking. Tooth and Snow were smiling.

"Well, Pitch took me, and I kind of got knocked out. When I woke up, Pitch was there. He tricked me, that Jack didn't, well, love me… and I was a fool. I lost my Cupid side, and got trapped in the necklace. Well, then, you should know how we came and I got him the UT. Then, after that, we went to this cemetery, and Pitch got a Stone of Life or Death. That is a stone that can bring life back to a dead person, or kill someone," she said.

"Pitch got me or Asle, to shoot a beam of dark light at the stone, and Eugene was alive. Unfortunately, the light also caused him to lose his memories. Then Pitch fed lies of the Guardians of how they wanted to kill them, and Pitch was his father," Elsa ended.

Elsa continued telling us her side of the story. After she was done, the others asked a lot of questions, while I sat there listening to them. When everyone was done asking questions, I finally spoke up, "How are we going to get him back?"

"Well, we could have you spend time with Eugene, like how Jack did it," Hiccup said, with Merida nodding her head.

"No," Elsa and North said at the same time.

"The dark light wiped all traces of memories from Eugene," North said.

"Even if you spend time with him, you can't trigger any memory," Elsa continued. I sighed, discouraged.

"Or maybe, we could slap some sense into him," Bunny said. Sandy and Jack nodded, knocking their fists together. Tooth and Elsa gasped at that.

"Bunny!" Tooth exclaimed.

"Jack!" Elsa yelled.

"Not helping guys," Snow said, glancing my way.

"How about we find some stone that could bring back his memories?" Asland asked.

"I don't know any stone that could have that power," Elsa said.

"Unless, that stone you gave Jack can do it," Snow said. We all looked at Jack. He took a blue stone out from his pocket.

"I don't think so," Jack said. Suddenly Tooth sighed exasperatedly.

"Aren't you guys forgetting something?" she asked. We looked at each other, not knowing what she meant, except for Elsa. Instead, she gasped and smiled.

"Of course Tooth! You're a genius! Why didn't we think of that sooner?" Elsa exclaimed.

"Um… what's going on?" Hiccup asked, confused.

"I'm the Guardian of Memories, remember?" Tooth asked. This time, it was Bunny who exclaimed.

"Of course!" he said. We were all very confused, until, I got it!

"Yes! Tooth! You have Eugene's memories!" I squealed. Then, everyone caught on, and started smiling. Tooth smiled proudly, and then let out an ear-piercing whistle. Two of her fairies came flying in, holding a golden tube in between them.

They dropped it in my lap, and I picked it up and saw Eugene's face on the end of the tube.

"Give that to Eugene and he'll remember," Tooth smiled. Full of hope, I ran over to Tooth and squashed her in a big hug.

"Thank you Tooth! You're my hero!" I squealed, and then rushed out of the globe room to Eugene's cage.

I ran, full of hope. Hope that my Eugene will come back to me. Hope that he will be mine again. But when I reached the cage room…. I gasped.

There was black sand everywhere! The black sand covered the walls, the ground, the roof, everywhere! Through all the black sand, I saw the balls of light have disappeared and the cage where Eugene was sitting in was covered by the black sand. The bars cracked and were destroyed.

I screamed as nightmares started forming around me. Eugene was wearing a look, which looked like a mix of happiness, sadness, but most of all, confusion.

I tightened my grip around the golden tube in my hand. They're after it.

I heard the others running down the corridor. "Punzie!" I heard them shout. I looked over my shoulder and saw them looking at the dark mass of sand behind me. But then, the sand flew up, and blocked the way. I could hear the others banging on the wall of dark sand.

I looked back, and gasped again, as Pitch appeared in front of me. He smirked evilly.

"Why hello Rapunzel," he said, sending shivers down my spine. Suddenly, I could feel anger boiling up in me.

"You!" I shouted. I took out my frying pan and held up, getting ready to hit him. But he just shot his hand out, and my frying pan was shot out of my hands.

"Naughty, naughty girl," Pitch said. "Has Santa ever considered putting you on the naughty list?"

"Me? No. You? I'm pretty sure a thousand times," I said bravely.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk," Pitch sighed, making that annoying sound. "Well, I'll make you a deal, if you give me those memories, I'll let you go."

"And what? You'll destroy the memories, so Eugene will never be able to remember me? And then, he'll continued working for you?" I asked. I laughed sarcastically. "Ha! That is such a wonderful deal! Of course someone as dumb as you would think of that."

I could feel anger coursing through my veins. That a******!

"You're just an a******! An idiot! A bunch of s***!" I shouted at him. He looked taken aback for a few seconds, then he turned furious. Good let him be, let him know how I feel right now. "You're weak! Using such evil, backstabbing methods! A weakling! You use people to your advantage!" I shouted at him.

"You," Pitch breathed heavily. "Have no right to talk to me like that."

"So what?! I have every right to talk to you anyway I want! And you are just an a**! So you probably deserve it!" I yelled.

Now, Pitch was absolutely fuming. Suddenly he was standing behind Eugene, with a knife to his throat. "No," I gasped out. Eugene wore a surprised, confused expression.

"You had better give me that tube, else he dies!" he said, digging the knife deeper into Eugene's skin.

"No! Don't hurt him!" I cried.

"What are you doing?" Eugene choked out. Pitch let out what sounded like a cackle.

"You're such an idiot. I am not your father! The Guardians aren't the evil at all," Pitch laughed. Eugene looked at him wide eyed. "They're just weaklings that work to protect disgusting children."

"Y-You l-lied to m-me?" Eugene asked.

"You're such a fool!" Pitch laughed. Eugene's expression changed from one of shock, to anger and utter betrayal. He grabbed the knife out of Pitch's hands, and disappeared into the darkness. Pitch looked startled.

Eugene reappeared in front of me. Pitch looked annoyed. "Yes, I forgot about your powers," he said, looking irritated.

"You better go now," I said, glaring at Pitch. He did not answer. Instead, he shot out his hand and black sand shot towards us.

Before I could do anything, Eugene took my hand and I could feel myself falling into darkness. Even though it was just for a few seconds, it was terrifying. I was about to scream, when I saw light again, and I was standing in front of Elsa.

"Punzie!" the others exclaimed.

"I'm fine," I assured them. I looked over Elsa's shoulder, and saw the black wall had disappeared.

"Before you appeared, the wall disappeared, and there was no sign of you, Eugene or Pitch," Merida explained. I looked to my side and saw Eugene still holding my hand, looking confused, angry, betrayed all at the same time.

I held out the golden tube to Eugene. He looked at it confused. I smiled.

"Time to get your memories back."
