Chapter 31

Stadium in Konoha

In the Audience the sounds of vomiting could be heard as they watched Gaara brutally murder a ninja that made advances on his sister. Kenshin laughed quietly as he looked at the civilian nearest him that was literally pale as snow.

Lunair was just as bad as she took out a ketchup laden hamburger and ate it. The people around her turned green as they watched her. One of the weaker willed men jumped from his seat and ran to the nearest toilet to vomit.

The other yokai simply shrugged and continued to watch the screen as the Ino-Shika-Cho group from Konoha was cornered by a group of nin from the Hoshi village. It was amusing to watch as the largest of the boys a cho something or other went on a rampage when they called him fat.

Lunair laughed as she watched the blonde girl take over one of the enemy males and made him sit on a kunai. She turned to her husband and was unsurprised when she found him in an argument with their children over which fight had been better so far.

Sighing she turned to Kai and asked him politely if he had an burgers left. He nodded and handed her the burger with an egg on top. She smiled happily and turned back to watch the next match. IT was more interesting than watching her pups scam the ningens.

ON SCREEN

Shino watched as a large venus fly trap slowly dragged the body of a struggling sand nin closer to it's jaws. There was no way for the audience to know that he was grinning sadistically as he had his kikai slowly drain the nin so that he had strength to struggle but none to fight the plants grip.

He laughed quietly dropping down to stand I front of the male sand nin. "So now may we have the scroll?"

Watery green eyes widened in terror. "Yes, Yes I'll give you the scroll, just get me out of here."

Shino nodded, lifting a hand he summoned his kikai from the nin and had them attack the plant. The fly trap swatted at the smaller bugs as it tried to real the nin in. Shino pulled a curved blade from his leg and sliced through the vines. He used the vines to tie the nin up as his bugs devoured the fly trap.

Looking away from his handy work he noted that it would be getting dark soon. "Hinata, Kiba, Akamaru, we should set up camp while we can. It will be dark soon and best to rest before it hits full dark."

Hinata smiled as she strolled away from her victim buried in a sand pit of his own making. "Alright I'll go grab some water and edible water plants."

She took off after grabbing a net from her bag and a couple of kunai from their new stash. Kiba and akamaru set off after her to catch a few animals and grab any fruit they could find. Shino gathered firewood and kindling to start the fire. Getting everything ready in a few minutes he took his time to find the enemy scroll and other valuables before setting his kikai to keep them drained and unable to fight.

It was not long before the other three were once more in the clearing with their catches. Kiba and Akamaru brought a large bar with bananas, some black berries and a bag of strawberries. Hinata followed with a net of fish and herbs found along the river. Shino, and Hinata skinned, pealed, gutted and prepared the fish and boar. Kiba and akamaru roasted them to perfection using the herbs to add flavor.

As they ate a silent communication was happening between them and their secondary pack.

Naruto – So how are you three? Have you found your scrolls yet?

Shino- Yes we are currently resting so that we may move once night has fully fallen.

Hinata – Where are you and you the two idiots?

Naruto- We are currently a few miles away from the exit and I can sense a snake on our tail.

Kiba- Is it orochimaru or one of the snake demons?

Naruto – My bet is that it's the pedo creep. I kicked a few snake demon asses earlier and they have yet to pop up again.

Hinata – Fine but be careful and call if you need assistance. We will be making our way to the exit tonight.

Naruto – Got it but keep an eye out for the snake demons. I can sense more in the forest and surrounding the village.

Shino, Hinata, Kiba, Akamaru – Hai Naruto.

In the Stadium

At the front of the stadium one of the konoha Nins stood with a microphone. "Due to night falling we will be closing the stadium and resume the viewing in the morning. All footage taken tonight will be shown on the local televisions and commentary made via the radio."

Kyo frowned turning to look at the other yokai. "So does this mean we have to stick around to watch?"

Kai nodded. "Looks like it we either get a hotel room which thanks to the tournament is practically impossible or we can simply go home."

Kyo frowned a pout trying to make it's way onto his face. "But I want to watch Naru kick ass. Oh what about the tv at the apartment?"

Kai thought for a second before grinning. "Perfect it's hooked into Konoha tv thanks to the location."

He turned to the other Yokai. "Hey Minata-san, do you guys want to join us at the den? We have tv that hooks into the set up."

Lunair smiled nodding and gesturing for the wolf to lead the way. Kenshin broke off spotting a restaurant that matched the description of Naruto's favorite ramen place. "I'll see you guys there I want to grab some ramen."

Mina tossed him a coin purse. "Fine grab enough for everybody. I don't feel like cooking tonight."

"will do but I call dibbs on the best seat in front of the tv." Kenshin called as he walked away.

The others followed Kai to Naruto's 'apartment using a spare key to unlock the door. Inside was a standard one room apartment with a large mirror on the wall. Ryu walked over to the mirror before performing a swift jutsu. The mirror grew larger no longer reflecting the room but becoming opalescent. Speaking a password the mirror began to emit sounds. In a moment it showed the forest as a group of Oto-nin ran through the foliage.

Calmly walking back over to the others he laughed when Kai brought out a multitude of pillows from the curtained room. He tossed them on the floor before plopping into one and using a ram seal to up the volume. "Welp this should be entertaining."
