As she walked up the stairs Stephanie's mind was preoccupied with what her Mom had said, she didn't want to talk to her Dad but maybe it would be a good idea to get things off her chest with him? Pushing thoughts of her Dad to the back of her mind as she reached the top of the stairs she was looking forward to seeing her boyfriend's face and forgetting all about her Mom's visit.
Pushing the door open and entering the bedroom she frowned when she saw him sat on the bottom of her bed still wearing just a towel, "why are you not dressed?"
Slightly concerned by her demeanour he wasn't sure if he was about to get his head ripped off, "you told me to sit on the bed, not to move and not to make a sound so I did just that."
"You could have gotten dressed."
Shrugging his shoulders he really was feeling like any second now she would rip into him, "I'm sorry, I just didn't want to risk anybody knowing I was here."
Realising that she was completely overreacting she walked over to the bed and climbed on straddling his legs, "I'm sorry."
Reaching up he gently tucked her towel back in so it stayed closed before he moved his hands to her legs gently rubbing them, "it's okay, I'm not mad. Who was at the door."
Frowning she shook her head, "I don't want to talk about it."
"Does somebody know I'm here?"
Sighing she shook her head, "no, it's nothing like that but I don't want to ruin our evening together by talking about them."
Concerned he continued to rub her legs, "well you can either tell me willingly or I can play dirty and get it out of you that way, either way I want to know tonight."
Pouting she moved off of his lap and sat down on the bed beside him, "I really don't want to Paul, we've been having such a good evening I want to forget about it and go back to having a good time with you."
Taking her hand gently in his he placed it on his chest over his heart, "I promise you that if you tell me who it was then I will let the subject drop unless you bring it up again. I want to make it clear though that I don't mind talking about it, nothing will ruin this evening for me as I am here with you and it will always be perfect to me."
Gently scraping the one side of his chest with her nails she wasn't going to get out of it so she decided to just get it over with, "it was my Mom."
Smiling softly he leant forward and pressed a soft kiss to her lips, "thank you baby, that's all I wanted to know."
Pulling away from her he stood up and walked over to his case opening it up, "so is there a dress code for the chef tonight?"
Laughing she got up from her seat on the bed and walked over to him sliding her arms around his waist from behind and pressing a soft kiss to the back of his shoulder, "you can wear whatever you want baby."
Rubbing her arms gently as they stayed around his waist he smiled, "track pants and a shirt it is then and if we then get a little closer later they'll be easy to remove."
Shaking her head she removed her arms and slapped his back gently, "you're such a pig sometimes."
Turning around to face her he put on his best innocent face, "you can't blame me really, we have already done it twice today."
Putting her head in her hands she shook her head, "you are impossible."
Moving to her drawers she started to look for something to wear whilst Paul turned back to his case to find some track pants.
Ten minutes later and Paul was chopping up some vegetables to go with dinner whilst he waited for Stephanie to join him after she had brushed her hair or whatever it was she wanted to do with it because he had tuned out as he had been too busy thinking about what Linda could have wanted.
After drying her hair a bit with the towel she gently combed out all of the knots before she headed downstairs to her boyfriend, he was being so sweet tonight and the fact that she got to spend some quality time with him with no fear of being caught just made it that much sweeter.
Standing in the doorway she enjoyed watching him as he cooked, it was so sexy to her that he would willingly go to the effort of cooking for her when it was her house, "so what can I do?"
Jumping slightly at the sound of her voice as he hadn't heard her coming he spun around to face her, "sit down and take a load off. You're still meant to be resting that knee so just let me pamper you and take good care of you tonight."
"Are you sure?"
Setting the knife down on the counter top he pulled out two seats for her, "take a seat and put your leg up. I am deadly serious about this because I know you're still in pain, I can see it, and you're just putting on a brave face."
Sighing softly she thought she had done a better job of hiding it than she had so she didn't fake being able to walk normally, she hobbled over to the chair and took a seat before she put her leg up on the other one, "thank you."
Leaning down he kissed her quickly, "you're welcome."
Returning to the food preparations he threw himself into them so they could hopefully eat relatively soon.
She had been silently watching him as he prepared the food but as she sat and watched him cooking it she didn't know what came over her but she blurted out, "my Mom wants me to go for dinner tomorrow to talk to my Dad, she says she doesn't expect me to make things right with him but it might help me to clear the air."
Turning the stove down a little he walked over to the table and pulled out another chair to take a seat, "and how do you feel about her suggestion?"
"At first I thought it was fucking stupid, how would it help to tell him how he broke my heart? Now I'm not so sure, maybe it would be nice to rip into him telling him exactly how much I hate what he has done. The overriding factor in it all though is the fact that you're here, this is the only time we will get to be together and to truly be able to relax and not worry about anybody else seeing us together and I don't want to lose out on an entire evening when I'm going to lose all day as I have to work and then you've probably got house shows at the weekend."
Reaching across the short distance between them he took her one hand in his, "I do have house shows this weekend, I thought you were booked for them too."
Grumbling lowly she looked down at the floor, "I was until I hurt my knee, the stupid trainer told me that I needed to take the weekend off."
Raising his eyebrow he looked at her with some amusement, "he's stupid huh?"
Nodding her head she looked stern, "yes he is, if he wasn't so stupid we would have had the weekend together too."
Laughing softly he moved from his seat to kneel on the floor beside her, "well as stupid as he is I think he advised you the best way he could have, you do need to rest this knee. I think you should talk to your Dad, I don't necessarily think it will make things better between you but I do think it will help you to actually get your feelings towards him and the situation off your chest. I know if you do go then I will have to cook for myself and spend most of the evening alone but I don't mind, I will do anything for the greater good of you and I think this is one of those things."
Playing with his fingers she frowned, "I don't know what I want to do, I'm torn."
Knowing he needed to get back to the dinner he began to stand up, "well whatever you decide know that I will support you in your decision."
As he stood up fully he went to pull away but she kept a grip on his hand and pulled him back to her, "come down here."
Not sure what she wanted he leant one hand on the table and bent down, "what?"
Slipping her hand behind his neck she pulled him closer pressing a passionate kiss to his lips before she pulled back again, "I love you."
Smiling softly he quickly pecked her lips, "I love you too."
Letting go of his hand she allowed him to go back to working on dinner whilst she thought about what she wanted to do.
