Chapter 36

God's Denial

After he had walked into the room she shut the door behind him. He stood there for a few minutes without saying anything. He was looking in the far corner of the room. "What is it sir?" Mila asked him. She followed his gaze and saw Hades standing there with his arms crossed over his chest and an angry look on his face. She immediately knelt before him with her head bowed. Gakupo narrowed his eyes and didn't kneel.

"Let's go," Hades said.

"Not yet," Gakupo said.

"Yes. Now let's go. I'm cutting your break short because of what you've done."

"What did I do now?" he asked.

"You exposed your God form to the humans."

"I was pissed," Gakupo objected.

"I don't give a damn. Let's go." Mila remained quiet as the two men spoke. Gakupo growled at his father and then turned away from him. Mila slowly started to life her head and Hades gave her a warning glare to remain quiet. Gakupo walked out of the room. "And you Mila."

"Yes sir…?" Mila asked.

"You are not meant to be his lover or his girlfriend. You're only here to protect him. Do you understand?" Hades stated.

"He loves Miku, sir," Mila said.

"She is only an alternate personality."

"Sir, I can't help how he feels about her."

"Don't let her out! That's how you deal with it!" Hades snapped.

"Then you will make him an unfeeling man, sir," Mila stated.

"Good. That will help him in the long run."

"How will it help him?" she asked.

"It will help for when the war comes. If someone dies it will not effect his fighting."

"You have no idea how you're treating your son. He is not a fighting machine. He's been through enough in his life," Mila said bluntly without taking her gaze off Hades. He walked up to her with his eyes glowing menacingly.

"Are you talking back to me, Mila?" he demanded. She flinched back from him in fear. Gakupo came back into the room, grabbed Mila, and then disappeared without a trace.
