I should be doing my homework BUT I wanted to update this story since its been a while since the last update ^^ Here's the next installment of Spring Flowers.
Chapter 36- Consoling
Serenity sat down on the stone bench in the gardens, the bright light from the sun made everything glow and shimmer like in a dream. Serenity did not mean to run away from her sister but she really needed some air and some time to think to herself. Maybe Minako was right, she had been ignoring the poor prince for a while now ever since the confrontation they had weeks ago. However, she tried to tell herself that she did not feel the same way about Seiya no more. They were distant feelings from a faded past.
Serenity sighed for the fifth time in a row; she really needed to sort her feelings out before someone becomes hurt. A hand gripped her shoulder causing Serenity to jump and suddenly turn around to see someone she had not seen around the palace. Her eyes met the deep calm blue eyes of a person she had not talk to in while.
"Tuxedo Knight…" She murmured her eyes half way closed and she shifted her head to the other side.
"You look to be down today, Lady Serena. Is there something wrong?"
Serenity did not respond so he continued, "I'm always here listen to your problems, milady."
"You might not want to; it's more of a problem for me," Serenity mumbled.
"You never know, I might. Besides, I hate to see a frown upon your face," Out of nowhere, he handed her a rose, pink thorn less rose. Serenity took looked surprise then took it it smelt wonderful.
Serenity twirled the rose slowly in her hands, a dreamy look wash over her eyes, "Have you ever really liked someone but at the same time, your other feelings from someone conflict with it?"
Tuxedo Knight sat down on the bench, "…Yes I have however it's more of a deeper problem because I can't love her…" He drifted off and Serenity looked a bit shocked. She had not expected him to respond with a yes so she was little curious as to whom the woman was.
"Why not?"
He turned to her and she could see the tension in his eyes, the pain, "I have to fall in love with someone else in order for things to go well where I come from."
"That's a dilemma for me to," Serenity spoke. "He has a betroth so I told myself I wouldn't go past any feelings for him other than friendly ones. But look at me now; I can't even keep to that because I've already fallen for him without even knowing."
For a second, she thought she saw his eyes widen but she passed it as her imagination, "Then someone else I had small feelings from the past comes and I just can't…."
Serenity held back the tears forming in her teary eyes, "You should tell them both. It will only hurt you the most in the end. If you keep it to yourself it's going to be too much to bear for you when he marries his betroth or the other person shatters bit by bit until their nothing but an empty shell."
Serenity did not answer back but she understood where he was coming from. Serenity did not want to harm anyone in the process of sorting her feelings out but it was going down that path the longer she did not come out with her feelings.
"Thank you…" She wiped a tear that managed to slide down her rosy cheeks. She would tell them however, she would wait for the appropriate time.
Hm, I don't know about that Serenity but will see :) Considering the romance in this story, I say I have a lot of choices on exactly where it goes...anyways leave a review :D
