Chapter 37
Lauren's p.o.v
"So... do you want to talk about what you just said to your dad" Joey asked as i laid all my dresses on his bed trying to decide which one is the best for tonight.
"What about it" I asked frowning as i turned to face him.
"You told him you hate him babe"
"I know, i was there" I sighed.
" But your Granddad was right, you don't mean it and you know you don't"
"So..."
"So, why did you say it"
"Cause I'm mad at him, Joe... I'm really mad " I said as tears filled my eyes. "The worst thing about being a daddy's girl is its hurts so much more, when they let you down" I sobbed and Joey pulled me into him and hugged me tightly.
"Oh, baby..." He breathed into my hair as he tightened his arms around me and kissed me on top of the head.
"I don't hate him"I sobbed.
"I know you don't baby, maybe you should try talking to him about it, i hate seeing you this sad"
"No, its not going to change anything and we are not going to change my mum and dads mind either" I sighed.
"So what are you saying, your going to Portugal aren't you"
"No... We are going to run away though"
"What!"
"Think about it, they can't make me go if I'm not here" I smirked.
"Wait a second Lo... I'm not sure this is such a good plan, i mean where would we go and when would we leave... Your still pretty upset so your not thinking straight about this"
" I am thinking straight about this and it has nothing to do with just fighting with my dad " I said sighing heavily before smiling ."we would leave, the day I'm supposed to go to Portugal"
"What"
"Think about it Joe... We can sneak off in the morning or something and by the time they have realized we are gone it will be too late, and my mum wont be suspicious of where i am before that, cause she knows i will want to spend as much time with you as possible"
"Erm... Where would we go though"
"I don't know that yet, but we will figure it out"
"But Lo..."
"Your not going to do it are you, you don't want to run away with me " I asked nervously as tears filled my eyes again.
"Your crazy, do you know that..." He sighed looking into my eyes. "But i love you so much and if us leaving is the only way we are going to be able to stay together, then we are doing it"
"Really" I asked throwing my arms around his neck.
"Really... And don't worry i will find us somewhere to go"
"Thank you Joe... I love you"
"I love you too... Now come on i want to see you in your dress, and maybe we can kiss for a while before we go to the party" He said and i nodded before kissing him passionately and going back to picking a dress.
10 minutes later...
"Can you help me..." I said turning around and pointing to the zip at the back of my dress.
"Of course babe..."Joey smiled as he rubbed his hands together to warm them up a little before he started zipping me up and my breathing hitched a little when he did.
"So what do you think" I said turning around to face him moments later and he smiled when i did before wrapping his arms around me.
"I think you look amazing babe... And very sexy... And this dress matches your bra, apart from the stars of course... but its the right colour though" He said whispering the last part and a shiver ran down my spine, and i smiled up at him as he pulled away from me slightly and then i turned around and kissed him passionately.
"You look rather hot, yourself you know" I whispered and Joey smiled down at me slightly while blushing a little.
"Really"He smirked.
"Uh huh" I nodded before kissing him softly. "Come on we better finish getting ready to go cause Fats is going to be wondering where we are"
"Okay babe... I'll grab his presents, if you want to finish getting ready"
"Okay" I smiled before quickly straightening my hair.
Half an hour later...
"Baby girl" Fats cheered smiling wildly before hugging me tightly after he opened the front door. "I'm so glad you came, it wouldn't have been the same if you didn't come" He slurred slightly, clearly having started drinking a while ago.
"Oh yer... I'm feeling so loved right now" Joey pouted and i turned and smirked at him.
"Sorry, dude , but you know baby girl is my favorite" He slurred slinging his arms around my shoulders and stumbling back slightly and i couldn't help but laugh as he did.
"Been drinking a little, have you" Joey chuckled trying to pull me away from him.
"No she's my baby girl, go and get your own" Fats said poking his tongue out, and i saw jealousy flash over Joey's face, but it was only briefly before he chuckled again and shook his head.
"Do you want your presents then Fats" I said and i reached my hand out to grab them from Joey, Fats leaning against the wall as i did.
"You guys didn't have to get me anything" He said smiling wildly as he took them from me.
"Course we did fats" I smiled.
"Well thank you baby girl, J dude" He saluted and we both laughed.
"Lauren, Joey"Lucy squealed before hugging us both as her and the other came over to us.
"Hey Luce" I said before frowning as she started tugging on my hand. "What's up"
"I thought we could have a girly chat"
"Oh, sure ,okay, see you in a bit Joe..."
"And the rest of us" Tyler said before rolling his eyes.
"Yer... Sure"
"Bye babe" Joey smiled before me and Lucy headed for the room we slept in, when we were here last"
"Tyler keeps acting weird around me and i don't know why" She said looking quite worried as soon as the door was shut and i smiled at her.
"Why are you smiling, this is not a time for smiling"
"He likes you"
"What"She said completely shocked.
"He has a little crush on you"
"What, no he doesn't"
"Yer he does, i saw it the night of the first play, backstage, he fancies you"
"But I'm pregnant and he's... Well he's Ty" She frowned.
"Just cause your pregnant doesn't mean guys aren't going to like you" I smiled. "But i think the real question is, do you like him"
"I don't know really" She said a smile gracing her face. "But he has been really sweet the past few days... Talking of, why weren't you and Joey at school on Friday" She asked and i sighed, not really wanting to tell her about that at the moment... My mum wanting to move us to Portugal is a big thing and i don't want to dump it on her when we are supposed to be having a good time here tonight.
"Well..."
"And don't tell me you were sick, cause you were at the play on Friday, Whit told me"
"Erm..." I sighed knowing I'm now probably going to have to tell her even though i really don't want too.
"Oh i get it" She said and i frowned. "You and Joey wanted the day alone didn't you" She winked.
"You got us"
"So is it so you guys could... You know, have your first time together, cause if so you have to tell me all about it"
"No, Luce... We just watched films and that, besides i don't kiss and tell"I smirked.
"Neither did i, when me and Leon first..." She trailed off looking down. "Sorry"
"Hey, you can say his name you know, he is the little ones daddy after all"
"Yer... but when i do, talk about him, it reminds me of the last time i saw him" She said and i closed my eyes before grabbing her hand and squeezing it gently.
"Have the police had any leads on him yet"
"No , they think he is hiding out, that's why there is still a police car outside my house, they think he may come after me when he realizes they are after him"
"They will find him Luce, i just know they will and then you and the baby will be able to do whatever you want"
"I know,I just hate not being able to leave the house without them following me unless i sneak off of course ,like tonight"
"You sneaked out"
"Of course i did, do you really think my dad would have let me come to Fats party when I'm pregnant, especially since i got pregnant the night of his last big party that he threw, cause his Nan went to visit his auntie"
"Probably not"I smiled, her smiling back while shaking her head.
"Come on, we better get back or Fats is going to be wondering where we have got too" I said a while later as i checked my make-up in the mirror, us both having got a bit tearful.
"Wait a sec Lo, i wanted to ask you something"
"Sure, what is it"
"Would you and Joey... And you can say no if you want to, i just really don't want to go on my own"
"Where"
"To my 20 week scan, its next week, do you think you guys could come with me... Its when i get to find out if junior is a boy or girl" She said rubbing her bump.
"Of course we will, we are going to be there whenever you need us"
"Really, thank Lo" She said hugging me tightly and i smiled as she did.
"Its okay, come on, i need to dance with my boyfriend"
"Okay" She laughed before we both headed out of the room to see Tyler and Joey stood talking in the corner, both of them turned and smiled at us as they heard the door open.
"Hey baby" Joey whispered in my ear as he pulled me closer when me and Lucy reached them.
"Hey..."
"Are you okay Luce... You look like you have been crying" Tyler asked concerned and i turned and looked at Joey, both of us smiling.
"Yer... Me and Lo were just having a girly chat and then my hormones kicked in" She blushed.
"Oh, well don't worry, you still look really good"
"Come on Joe" I whispered pulling on his hand.
"What, why, i think its nice to see Ty, so sensitive" He smirked.
"Cause they are having a moment besides i thought you wanted to dance with me"I whispered as i led him away.
"Oh i do" He said turning to face me before pulling me into him.
"Good... So lets dance" I said pressing myself against him as i leaned up to kiss him on the cheek.
"Babe..." He groaned holding me against him as we started moving slowly to the music.
"What"I asked innocently and he smirked at me before shaking his head and i rested mine against his chest.
A while later...
"Joe" I laughed as he span me around in front of him before pulling me into him again and we carried on dancing.
"Hey Lovebirds" Fats smiled. "J,dude, do you mind if i dance with Lo, for a sec"
"Erm, sure " Joey smiled before leaning down and kissing me on the cheek then he went to go and get us both a drink.
"You okay"I asked as i hugged him, before we started dancing quite fast to the up beat song that is playing and Fats laughed.
"Yer... Its just a little weird , you know"
"Yer it must be hard, its the first birthday of yours, that Mercy hasn't been here for"
"Yer... and that probably why i have had about half of this on my own" He said as pointing to the vodka bottle on the side and my eyes widened a little cause it is one of the big bottles.
"She would want you to have a good day you know"
"Yer... I know its just hard too, she should be here, Lo...we were supposed to be together forever" He said and i could tell he was trying to hold back tears.
"I know, and she loved you so much, but she wouldn't have wanted tears today, so come on, we have to cheer up"
"I know, she would probably tell me to stop crying cause otherwise she will and then her make up would run and, she would be really mad"
"Yes, she would, we always used to spend like 4 hours getting ready for a party"
"I know you and the other girls used to keep us boys waiting for soo long... I'm going to go and get another drink baby girl what about you, J, dude" He asked and me and Joey nodded before downing our shots and passing the glasses back to him, Joey wrapping his arms around me from behind as Fats walked off.
"You okay"Joey whispered in my ear.
"Yer..."I sighed before me and Joey both took the shot glasses off of Fats as he has just brought them back and i drank my down quickly, it burning the back of my throat a little as i did, which made me shiver.
"To Mercy" Fats said as he filled the shot glasses again as soon as they were put down, me and Joey both smiling.
"Mercy" We said in unison and i closed my eyes as i downed that shot too.
An hour later...
"Hey baby, what are you doing in here" Joey asked as he walked into the room me and Lucy were talking in earlier, Me having been laying on the bed looking up at the ceiling for a while now.
"Hey... I'm just thinking and the music is giving me a bit of a headache too"
"Yer..."He smiled sitting next to me. " But all those shots we did earlier can't be helping either"
"Not really" I laughed moving closer to him. "But i am feeling a little better now that you are laying here with me"
"Really"He smirked.
"Uh huh"
"Well that's good , but do you think you need a little help so you can feel all better" He asked raising an eyebrow as he pulled me into him so we are pressed against each other.
"Kiss me"I breathed .
"Hmm, i don't know if i should" He smirked.
"Joe..."I frowned feeling disappointed.
"I'm just kidding babe, i would never miss the chance to kiss you" He smiled before kissing me passionately and i wrapped my arms around him when he did. Tightening them as he tried to move away from me moments later and he groaned as i did... Moments later we were kissing heatedly and i wrapped my legs around his waist and him moaning in response...
Dragging our lips from each others in desperate need of air a long while later we were both breathing deeply and i tightened my legs around his waist, him smiling down at me as i did.
"Have i told you how beautiful, you are ,today" He breathed.
"No, i don't think you have" I smiled.
"Really well i will have to fix that right now , you are so, so beautiful baby, the most beautiful girl in the world"
"Joe..." I breathed blushing furiously. "I seriously doubt I'm the most beautiful girl in the world"
"Oh you are, trust me , you are the only girl my eyes are always on"
"My eyes are always on you too" I said before crashing our lips together and i flipped us so I'm straddling Joey's waist.
"I love you sitting like this on me"He breathed as we both pulled away breathless.
"I bet you do"I smiled down at him.
"Very much" He breathed before moaning when i moved on him slightly which also made me moan, cause our lower halves rubbed together.
"Oh god..."Joey groaned as i moved again, just a little and then we were looking into each other eyes, and he brushed some hair out of my face and tucked it behind my ear.
"I'm so so sorry, baby girl, Joe... I was just wondering where you guys had gotten too" Fats said moments later as he burst into the room and obviously saw what me and Joey were doing , but he turned around straight away.
"Its okay" I said clearing my throat as i climbed off Joey. "We were just..."
"Having some time alone" Joey said smirking and Fats chuckled as he turned back around.
"Joe"I frowned slapping him on the chest.
"What baby, i don't care who knows how much i love you" He smiled.
"Neither do i, but people don't need to know anything else"
"Its okay , baby girl, me and Mercy"
"I don't need to hear anymore of that sentence, besides she told me everything remember" I smiled.
"Yes i do"He grumbled.
"However if Joey tells anyone about anything we do, he will never even get to kiss me again" I said turning and smirking at Joey.
"My lips are sealed" He said quickly. "Besides i would never do that to you baby, what happens between us is private"
"Yep it is" I said leaning over and kissing him softly as he smiled wildly at me.
"You guys are so cute... You know Mercy always used to say you belonged together and i thought she was crazy at first, until i saw the way Joey was with you the next day at school"
"Really she did" I asked shocked but smiling at the same time.
"Yer... Listen, thank you for being here today, i really don't think i could have gotten through this birthday without Mercy, if it wasn't for you guys"
"Of course Fats, you are one of us and as you said to Luce, we are always there for each other no matter what" I said walking over to him and hugging him tightly.
"I know, at least we will always have our gang, none of us are ever going to go anywhere"
"Yer... Of course you do, i mean where would we go " I said feeling guilty and as i looked over at Joey i could tell he was too.
"Exactly we all belong here" Joey smiled as i closed my eyes before pulling away from Fats and he smiled at me.
2 hours later...
"Serious guys" Lucy said and all us girls laughed as they danced with their shirts off , us all being really quite drunk at the moment cause we have spent the last few hours drinking shots.
"Just cause you all fancy us right now... "Tyler slurred. "Not that we can blame you of course... Our bodies are amazing... Well mine is at least"
"In your dreams" Jodie shouted as we all rolled our eyes at him.
"Actually he's right" Whitney said and we all frowned as we turned to look at her.
"See"Tyler said smirking.
"What"Whitney protested. "We have all been drinking for ages, so anything is possible ,right" She smirked and we all laughed.
"Hey" Joey said as him and the rest of the boys pouted.
"Don't worry, you look good Joe" I said as my eyes ran over his body.
"Thank you" He slurred as he came over to me and kissed me on the cheek.
"We should go back home soon cause i want to spend some time kissing you and stuff before we go to sleep" He whispered in my ear.
"Okay babe..."
"What the hell is going on here" My Mum shouted from the doorway with Gregg stood next to her, but i just rolled my eyes as i saw them before sighing, why do they always have to ruin everything...
