Claire was on her computer when she noticed something… Black Butler…. Had come back. Claire's breath caught in her throat as she eyes got wide… If Black Butler was back… then… Cass…. Cass is dead… Tears began to fall from her eyes as she sat there rigid in shock. Near humming, noting Claire's reaction as he stood up.
"Claire what is wrong?" He asked, looking her over. Claire turned, flinging herself at Near. Near caught her and blinked, frowning as she sobbed into his shoulder. He slowly reached up, running his fingers through her soft blonde hair as he held her. Near looked at the computer, humming as he frowned, knowing what was going on. Matt walked in and blinked.
"What's going on?" He asked, looking at the crying Claire.
"Black Butler seems to have returned, meaning Ms. Treeda is dead." Near said boredly, rubbing Claire's back. Matt's eyes got wide as he looked at Near… Cassandra…. Dead….. He turned, tearing down the hall and outside towards the woods again. The fighting was over… oh god Cassandra.
I shouldn't have listened. I shouldn't have gone. Why didn't I know that Julia was the angel? Oh Cassandra… Matt ran to the clearing… to the spot he left her… there was so much destruction. But no Cass… No Sebastian…and Julia's body crushed under a tree. Matt sunk to the ground. He hadn't cried since he was little… but yet… he had tears slipping down his face as he pulled his goggles up.
After a bit he heard footsteps. Wiping his eyes he lifted his head…. And his eyes got wide.
There.
Standing there.
Was…
Was….
Cassandra.
Matt shot up and wrapped his arms around her tightly, hugging her to his chest. She was breathing, her heart was beating. She was alive! She was Alive! Matt didn't dare question it in case something where to happen as he clung to her. Cassandra smiled, hugging him back gently. Matt spun her around, his eyes sparkling before he darted to the house with her in his arms. She giggled.
"I love you too Matty." She said gently. Matt just grinned in response, holding her tightly to him as he walked up the house. Sebastian standing at the door as he smiled charmingly, he opened the door as Matt carried her upstairs to Claire and Near's room. Matt plopped her down as Claire looked over. The blondes blue eyes got wide before she shot up and glomped Cassandra.
Cassandra caught the girl, staying upright as she smiled at her longtime friend, cradling the girl to her.
"You can't knock me down C."
