Hello! I hope the wait is worth it! I have been so caught up in between two jobs, my dog in need more attention, and so much going on in life! I've gotten accepted to a college and can't wait to attend this fall! Other than that, I have been trying to write whenever I could! I have not forgotten at all! *grins*
Enjoy!
The blazing fire warmed the room for Kin and Snape, allowing them to be comfortable, and relaxed. They would often in here for the weekend to cover the things for potions. Severus watched the man going through his first year textbook and only found five things to be changed through half of the books. It took a few weeks, yet, it allowed them to have simple conversation between ingredients, effects, strengths, weaknesses, temperatures, and so forth. If it wasn't about brewing, it would be about Dark Arts. It kept the Slytherin at interests and began to learn more into the field.
Javier saw how quick the boy would pick up and used it immediately in class. Severus leaned on the man's head while he read, to witness any writing in the textbook. He was beyond fascinated, but rarely shows it.
There were times Remus be visiting on the weekend and Javier would often ask him a few questions, before Severus would show up. The young werewolf had often talked about his experience as the wolf and how much control he had. The potion he took was comforting and did not wish to look at things differently. Javier would point out that was an animalistic side, not human. While the potion helps, but it does not suppress the nature within. Eventually, the young Gryffindor dealt with it for now since it was only one time and his second one was nearing before their departure.
Eventually, Javier allowed Severus to assist him on making a few potions to brew. At least, he didn't have to make a wolfsbane potion since he gotten a couple months' worth ahead and wouldn't have to be concern until next year. The young Slytherin had managed to cut the time in half when assisting his guardian and he practiced the new methods when he gotten the chance. If he could not succeed, Javier joined next to him and held his hands to do it properly. Once he managed it after a few times, Severus was doing it naturally without him.
The brewing process allowed complete silence and focus among the pair and they were ready. Eventually, it wore the boy out and he went to his room without needing to leave the quarter. Javier told that he would deliver potions for the next day and he headed into bed, knowing he'd need it.
Early morning came, Severus was up early and had the house elf bring their breakfast while he read. Javier yawned as he came out of the room and saw him at the table. He joined him and began to help himself to eat.
"I will be having a quiz today," He sipped his tea.
The onyx eyes glanced up, "A random quiz…why?"
Javier smirked, "Everyone will be quite distracted with the last day of classes before going on their holidays. It's all anyone could think of."
Severus nodded, "True, but why tell me?"
"You'd inform your friends, then the rest would pick up and panic." The professor bit into scramble eggs.
The young Slytherin understood and realized the man was probably trying to experiment his teaching ability. He nodded along and found himself reading once more.
A chuckle escaped his lips, "Aren't you excited to our holiday trips?"
Severus froze in his reading when he heard 'trips', they hadn't talked about it since a month ago.
"We…are still going to those events?" His book laid on the table.
The time traveler smiled, "Yes. I already ordered the tickets and you know Lucius, he arranged a hotel for our stay there for the entire time."
"Merlin!" He blinked, then grew serious, "Is Lucius coming here tonight?"
Javier shook his head, "He's busy tonight, but he will meet me in the morning once you are on the train to leave Hogwarts."
Severus accepted that, but grinning like a fool. The time traveler enjoyed the sight he was seeing from the child. It was rare and precious moment to see a simple smile, but much delightful ones. Javier held his mug in front of his face and smirked slightly as a true Gryffindor he was. He sipped his tea and vanished his smirk before he was caught.
Severus hurried out to head over to his class early. Javier and the professors were preparing for the last day of classes before the Christmas holiday to join them. There were quite a few professors, like the defense professor, remaining in their classrooms to prepare for the day.
Once class began, most of the professors were prepared to hand their tests or quizzes, while collecting the students' assignments. However, students were prepared to take notes simply and their defense professor threw some of them off. Javier spent time looking and grading their short essays while they did their quiz.
After he completed their short assignments, he would hand their assignments for the exchanges of completed quiz. He allowed them to interact on the assignments to learn what they missed or how it was incorrect. He would listen, questions a few things here and there, and they would be free to leave early. Most students didn't wish to stay any longer and hurried to get through the rest of the day. By the time dinner was approaching, no one wanted to focus and attempt to skip the rest of the day.
All professors felt the same and the time dragged on for far too long.
Finally! Everyone dashed out of the classroom and headed straight to their dormitory to pack up for the incoming winter break. Severus had already did so early on and began to prepare himself to bed early with curtains drawn for privacy. Javier was going with Remus to the whomping willow tree's pathway and entered into the shrieking house.
"Did you take your wolfsbane potion?" The time traveler placed his hand onto the boy's shoulder.
The young werewolf nodded, "Yes, before dinner." He softly tugged his lips, "Is…Severus alright?"
The professor frowned, "Yes," This was unusual, "Did something happened?"
Remus nodded and shook his head in between, "He hexed Sirius and James yesterday."
The emerald eyes blinked. He wondered if this rivalry was about to begin, but the boy wasn't showing any signs. Was he missing something?
"That, I'm unaware of. Do you know why he hexed them?"
Remus shrugged and that did not help his case. Somehow, he wished the young Slytherin could inform him and he knew he couldn't exactly pry in. As for now, he knew the beginning of the night was nearing and it was best to prepare for the rest of the night.
"I hope your wolf is ready for some fun tonight," The animagus shifted into the wolf.
Remus nodded, "He is." Seeing the time traveler as a wolf.
The Gryffindor closed his eyes and prepared to feel the worse part for the short time being. The animagus watched him with sympathize and knowing it would never end. He thought of pain potion, but he knew it would not help much. Perhaps, he could do some experiments and see what he could come up with to improve.
The night began with the howling and the animagus wolf bowed to show his proper respect. After that, they adventured throughout the of the moon's company and kept themselves focus without a worry.
…
A soft whimpering gradually turned into a moan, which signaled the time traveler to become human once more. He saw the young child hating the full moon night of the transformation, but at least, they succeeded in avoiding hunting creatures. Javier picked up the boy and began to head out of the hide out. Remus felt himself drained, unable to move around much, and his eyes saw the man helping him.
"Your friends will be seeing you soon before the trains take off, correct?" Time traveler figured a distraction from the pain would do.
An effortless hum through the young werewolf's lips and his head rested on the man's shoulder. He hated the pain, but there was absolutely no excuse from those. It was nothing to compare from last year, but the thoughts to comfort him and the mentor to look after him. Remus truly trusted the time traveler, for someone who gave him so much in return, and held no fear over him.
"Ah, Mr. Lupin! Professor Kin, you may put him on this bed. I want you to be checked out as well," The strict tone from her voice.
If anything, Javier frowned and sighed. He placed Remus on the bed she specifically instructed him to do. He helped himself on the bed next to him and watched the witch in her healer action. Her wand performed the spell successfully and informed her of what he was securing himself strongly. She produced the needed potions by Accio'ing and she caught it.
She helped the boy to drink it up and Remus did so, despite the pain he was feeling. At least, there weren't any severe injuries or broken bones this time. The time traveler watched him being brave around Madame Promfrey and he understood naturally.
Once he drank a few potions, she helped him sit right up and gave her comforting smile.
"You just rest for a couple of hours, Mr. Lupin. Your breakfast is already arranged and will be sent here, I assume your friends will be coming and their food will be here as well." She confirmed, "Everything is in order, so rest, young man."
Remus nodded, "Thank you, ma'ma." He watched her walked over to his mentor.
Javier groaned inwardly, he did not want to do this…however, it was a deal that she would only focus the night's hours and nothing else. He had her written a contract, magically bind her to forbid her from looking further into his past unless urgent circumstances or given permission. The Hogwarts healer accepted it and still did she wanted to. Although, a curious Ravenclaw, she did wonder why such strict confidentiality of his own past. A medical purpose, but it could not be such thing. He had a reason to do so. She did her job and ensures his health in safe hands.
The time traveler grew wearily of her action and his emerald eyes did not leave until she completed her duties. For long reading for the past twelve hours-ish, to understand there was hardly a thing to be alarmed about and set the witch at ease. She had vanished the list and accio'ed something. Javier didn't like the fact she was doing something, until the vial of familiar potion came into their sight. The weight disappeared from the young man's chest and smiled. His head shook and smiled at her.
"I have my potions ordered," He sheepishly smiled, "You use yours for your patients." He pointed out, sitting up.
She blinked, not expecting this sort of response…suspecting this to be related to their contract vows and such. She shrugged and headed over to her office to deal with a few things. Remus shook his head and stared at the ceiling at interests. Javier casted the usual spell to provide a brief private conversation.
"Remmy, I know…" He sighed, hated to bring this topic up, "…you will not tell me, but reach me if whoever tried to hurt you. You are my charge, I will take any responsibility over you." He was stern about this, hoping it would not be dismiss.
The boy nodded, "I promise, but I will be staying here for the holidays. It'll be for my friends."
Those emerald eyes blinked, "I assumed to do something about one of them doesn't wishes to go home?"
A simple nod, "Yes, I take it you and I are close in the future?"
Javier hummed, "Something like that." Always prepared to answer carefully, knowing everything was still the same as he could recall in his time period.
Remus accepted that, gathering all he could learn over time, and pondered if he could return the favor in the future for whoever it would be. For the time traveler to reach out for him and showed him equality, it made him become stronger along the way. He wanted to be seen powerful and that's what he planned to do.
Javier joined by his bedside and exposed a vial of a soft red and dimmed glow potion. Remus naturally recognized it and accepted it. He smiled at the man.
"You'll need it, your friends do have a lot of energy themselves," Professor Kin smirked, "As I do have things to do." He ruffled the gryffindor's soft brown hair.
The werewolf chuckled and gulped down a bitter troll sweat tasting, face twisting until he no longer taste it, and sighed. His young face relaxed and noticed the professor was out of sight. However, his friends were running up with eagerly to see him once more and surrounded him with full attention. Their questions of the night for him and curiously wondered what he did over those times. He would tell them, since he took the potion, and they awed at his adventure as a werewolf.
Remus noticed their scents and found it quite overwhelming. While speaking, he observed their expressions and tried to match it from his previous experiences with a few people. It was quite interesting to learn what scents he enjoyed and the rest he did not. Their emotions showed a lot more than he had expected, especially with the level of the same feeling. He could tell that Sirius was strong, while Peter was mild. James was…in between. He did much appreciated to James' emotions, since it was noticeable and not overloading.
Somehow, their little holiday was looking rather peachy for a start and they were grinning to no ends.
…
When an escape from everything else, the young professor collapsed onto the sofa and sighed heavily. Despite of the potion to keep his energy going for the entire, his body felt exhausted. It seemed to go on forever when his eyes closed behind his eye lids and how peaceful to be left alone for short while.
"Javier? Love, wake up." Fingers brushed softly against his shoulder, leaning towards a touch with a quiet chuckle, "You wore yourself out today, didn't you, love?"
The emerald eyes flickered a few times and blinked twice. His thoughts pulled together and gasped as his feet landed on the floor.
"I'm late!" As one foot rose, but fingers clasped around his upper arm well to prevent any further movement.
"I came early, before Severus would arrive there an hour early. I thought we could have some time to ourselves." The veela smiled, seeing the time traveler relaxed a bit.
Javier glared, "Send a note or something, Malfoy. I don't like surprises and you know I don't want to make Severus feel abandon for whatever reasons I chose to be late or what not." His arm jerked away from his grip.
Lucius nodded and sighed, knowing better from the experiences since they dated over a year ago, "I know, my apologies." He pouted so… 'impossible not to forgive him' sort a look.
The defense professor flinched from such looks and was rather glad that Lucius does this when they were alone. He had no idea how Severus would take advantage of him with such look. It was always creating the guilt inside of him, if he does not forgive. He pinched his nose bridge and found this rather irritating when he could not win this argument this time.
"Accepted, but don't think you will get away with this, Malfoy." Javier headed over to his small trunk and produced his wand out, "Is the hotel room already set and available now?"
The blond nodded, "Yes, room president number three."
Javier tilted his head, hearing that…he was growing suspicious with him every day. He wanted this 'deatheater' business to end and forget the war. He could easily end it, but it would not mean he could or would secure the future properly. Let alone, eliminating his entire life in the process and might not know what to do afterward. Unfortunately, Albus would stop him before it could ever begin!
For now, he sent it over to the specific hotel and room. So far, it hadn't returned to him and considered that it had arrived to where it should be. Within a few seconds, snaking his arms around the professor's waists with a musical hum.
The emerald eyes narrowed at the young man, "You're awfully in a good mood and it's not even Christmas."
Lucius shrugged, "Can't a young man enjoy the time he has with his lover? Especially we hardly had time to relax with the schedules of ours and much critical events we have had in the past."
Javier wasn't fooled by such, "Don't be a foolish Slytherin, I will put you in a house elf's room, if you pull anything."
Lucius shook his head and snuggled his nose against the lover's neck. The haling in such aroma –
Don't even dare, Lucius! He's mine! The rapist brother claimed, adding a chuckle there.
'Shut up. You raped him, he's not legally yours to claim. Leave me be.' The veela mentally demanded.
A chuckle was the only reply he heard from his brother, but this was quite common among themselves. It was not known for the time traveler to be aware of their conversations.
"Lucius, not ready…please," He whimpered, fingers clenched tightly on the Veela's arms.
The young man noticed and sighed, "You shouldn't need to be afraid of me, Javier. I care enough to respect you this far, don't I deserves something in return?"
The savior deadpanned with a suspiciousness sense around him, "I'm not ready, Lucius. I'm trying, truly, but what your brother did…" He stopped and saw the images of that rapist's face…the cruel side, "…r-raped me." His neck twitched him, the flashes of the control freak.
The way that…that monster touched him and destroyed him altogether to the point nothing had felt safe truly. Lucius was a small reminder, but a bigger connection that never ends from that torture. Unfortunately, the Veela did not see it such ways. He scowled at the professor, not approved at the 'excuses' he was given, and knowing how much they came through.
"A year ago!" He huffed.
Javier glared, "Don't push me."
Javier jerked himself away from the Veela and left the young man in greater shock from such behavior. The time traveler headed into his personal bedroom and slammed the door. Lucius winced at such sound.
'Look what you did!' Phoenix sounded rather disappointed, 'No free sex movie?'
A miserable groan, 'Nix, you seriously do not want to watch anyone having sex. It's a disgrace! Our father would have lost his magic marble over us watching our brother having sex.' Erasmas scoffed in disgust.
Lucius shook his head and whispered, "And had no problem raping him, Erasmas…we could be having so much love and you destroyed all the opportunity!" He hissed softly.
'Luc is right, Ras, it was supposed to be kissing his mate. You went to the length that he hasn't moved on…I don't think Javier ever will.' Phoenix sighed.
Sometimes, the young heir pondered if it was truly worth keeping them in his mind for this long. They kept him alive and sane to death with his 'master', learned to 'kill', and bear the mark: Death Eater's Mark. However, Javier's wordings helped him out more than enough and still puzzled him to no ends. There would be days that his lover could handle it and times like today, it was fear to the point he would hide for a while. If anything, Lucius muttered to himself for the blame.
'Clearly, you think on your hormone, Lucius. Erasmas stole his virginity, his innocence, his sense of security, and sense of trusts. While he knows that we are inside your mind,' The youngest spoken for a turn, which was rare, 'Healing is difficult struggle. You have three of us in your mind. Javier suffers this alone, whether you are there for him or not. He is alone because he has no one to turn to. Severus cannot know due to the fact he is too young to understand and his memory has been cleared of our existences. It creates much difficulty to pass to natural healing state. It may take longer than a year. He only coped when it occurs, he is distracted by most of the time between his child, his career, and you. He hasn't had the time to think of what Erasmas has done to him."
The brothers were stumped by such speech. Lucius began to realize his action and stared at that very door. With the realization, he knew he had to do something to prove his sorry hides and make it up, if he truly cares. Above all, it was a holiday to be spent time with others…not depart from one and another.
A knut for thoughts?
