Chapter 37: The Legends Come To Light Pt. 3

"Uhhhh...Hayden...am I imagining..."

"The giant god damn shadow coming from the water?"

"Yyyyeah." Frank immediately grabs his pokeball and quickly releases Finn from inside.

"No...uh...no you're not." I instinctively throw my left arm in front of Ranie for some sort of protection and grab Drake's pokeball with my right to release him as quick as I could.

Suddenly, peices of the ceiling inside of the cave began to tumble down to the ground hard, a few even coming close to actually hitting me and Frank.

"Watch it guys, get back!" I said, quickly looking over my shoulder towards Drake. "Get ready man, cause this might get hairy!"

He nods and quickly steps back to position himself defensively.

"Finn, stick close to Drake!" Frank yelled, pulling Angie back with him as he took a few steps back from the crumbling rocks above him.

Finn gives a hearty nod and instantly rushes over to Drake's side. "Got it."

As the moments rolled by, the vibrations inside the cave caused by the rapidly increasing speed of the watery vortex had continued to grow. It almost had felt like somewhat of a mini earthquake had been occuring within the cave itself.

Once the mysterious shadow had completely emerged, it had lifted what could now be identified as it's head straight forward, allowing a pair of glowing blue eyes to glare directly at me.

My heartbeat had come to a halt the second I had met it's gaze. I don't know what it was, or how I was able to figure it out so easily, but the instant that it's peircing eyes had met mine, I was able to fully determine what was really going on.

"N...no way dude..."

"What? No way what?" Frank asked, a bit concerned.

The water had finally begun to come to a stand still once the figure had fully emerged...then...it slowly began to move towards us.

"Frank...it's...it's really..."

He cocks his head to the side for a moment before letting out a gasp and shooting his attention back towards the water once he had grasped the situation as well. "Ho...ly...shit..." He muttered.

Once the shadowy figure had come into the little bit of light that had shone in through from somewhere atop the cave, the six of us had all come to dead silence. Every bit of doubt that I had in my mind up to this point, had finally been completely washed away.

With another burning gaze deep into my eyes, he finally clears his throat and gently lands his feet upon the ground. "So...you are finally here."

My mouth had been left completely agape as he began looking over the six of us...almost as if he were analyzing us like some sort of machine.

I swallow hard and finally muster up a bit of courage to say something. "S...so it's really...I mean you're...uhhh..."

He gives me this very unamused look for a moment, but remains silent.

I clear my throat, take a deep breath, and gather every bit of courage that I could possibly muster up. "You're...Lugia. Like...you're...the real deal. W-Wow."

He lets out a low snicker and nods. "Hm...that would be what you humans have come to call my kind, yes."

"Your...kind? So...there really...is more of you..."

He leans his head down to my level, literally mere inches from within the front of my face. "That there is. Hmm..it seems you know very little about me, yet I know so much about you...Hayden."

The way he had said my name had literally sent the worst chill up my spine that I had ever felt in my life. "Holy shit man, why is he so terrifying?"

He glances over towards Frank and somewhat smiles a bit. "And also you, Frank."

He lets out a little surprised grunt under his breath, but doesn't say anything at all.

"Both of us have been keeping quite the keen eye on the two of you." He turns around, facing the darkness behind him and lets out a barely audible grunt. "You two should feel quite special."

"Indeed they should." Another voice called out from what felt like the void.

Frank and I had instantly shot our attention over towards the darkness, where the much more familiar voice had been thrown from.

One more pair of glowing eyes peered through the dark at the two of us indefinitely, though I can't say that I was AS nervous about this one.

Slowly but surely, the next set of eyes had made it's way over into the light, swiftly landing right next to Lugia with a bit of a grin. "So you followed through and came after all...good."

"Holy crap this is insane..." I whispered to myself.

Two mythical legendary pokemon...sitting right in front of our faces. Not only did we actually get the incredible privelage to meet Lugia and Ho-Oh in the flesh, but they were literally currently BOTH in front of us, at the SAME TIME; Ho-Oh for the second time at that.

Frank clears his throat a bit and speaks out of the blue, catching everyones attention along with mine. "Uh, yes...we did. So...will you answer our questions now like you said back at the tower? I-If that's still okay I mean."

Ho-oh chuckles a bit and nods his head, taking one step further alongside Lugia, before the both of them sit upon the ground next to one another. "I did say that we would didn't I?" Ho-oh asked with a grin.

Frank looks over to me briefly and I give him a nod, pressing him on to take the lead for now.

"Right. Alright...then-"

"But..." Ho-oh spoke out suddenly.

Frank raises an eye questionably, but remains silent.

"We have questions for you two as well. So to be fair, you will ask a question, and then we will follow behind, then you will ask another and so on continuously until everyone has asked what they have deemed necessary to ask. Everyone...WILL answer truthfully, nothing held back."

Lugia looks over the two of us with a bit of a more serious look upon his face. "I will be able to tell if you are lying...so make sure that you take care not to do so."

Frank glances at me once more and we both nod in understanding. "Trust me, we won't." He said.

Ho-oh and Lugia both nod; their faces were a bit more reassuring this time around.

"Very well. As you were then." Lugia said calmly.

"Right. Um...well, Ho-oh..."

"Ah...one more thing. We haven't properly introduced ourselves yet, have we? I...am called Infernias." Ho-oh bows his head after giving proper introduction.

"That we haven't." Lugia does the same and bows his head slightly. "I...am called Hurricor."

"A..alright then. Infernias and Hurricor...got it." Frank nods his head and clears his throat once more. "Well, I believe our first and biggest question would probably be...what is this 'role' that you told us about back at the tower that Hayden and I play such an important part in, Infernias?"

"Hmph...well...that would be to keep the peace and balance in nature of this age."

Frank looks over towards me for some sort of confirmation, though I was of course just as confused as he was.

"And what...exactly does that mean again?" I asked.

"Ah...we've answered yours, now it's our turn." Hurricor spoke proudly with a little smirk.

"Right...sorry."

"That's quite alright. Well, we'd both like to know...why exactly have you two come here to this place?"

I swallow hard and try my hardest to muster up some answer good enough to not sound like complete bullshit in the ears of a legendary pokemon; it definitely was proving itself to be a bit of a challenge.

"To be completely honest with you guys...we...well...we came to challenge you and...attempt to...uh...well...capture you guys..." I said, pausing for a moment in fear when nothing had been said afterwards. "I mean, well at first I mean! Not necessarily now and...well..."

Suddenly, Hurricor and Infernias had begun to laugh a bit. It had done nothing more than terrify me down to my core.

My heart rate had begun to rapidly increase, yet again, this time much more than it had before. There's no way that this was good for my health. "Jesus Christ, they're going to kill us. They're really going to kill us...why the hell did I tell him that?"

Finally after their moment of brief laughter had ended, Hurricor clears his throat and grins. "I can't believe that you actually said that."

I shake my head a bit in disbelief, as it had almost sounded like he knew the answer before I had even said anything. "Hey...did you already...did you know what I would say?"

"Well, not necessarily. It's just that other people such as yourselves have also come before the two of you, seeking to challenge me as well. Though, of course, I would not just show my presence to merely anyone."

"Ah...well that makes sense." I give a nod in acknowledgement, turning towards Frank afterwards. "But...I really do mean it when I say that it was only at first when me and Frank here had set off on this little quest that we thought we'd try and...well, challenge you two. But now...after actually meeting you guys and actually having the pleasure to hold a normal conversation with you two..just that...is enough in my book."

Frank smiles and nods along with me. "Same goes for me. I think now that I'm actually thinking about it...our biggest goal here was really just to show ourselves that we could follow through with all of this...just to prove to ourselves that you two were actually...well...real. Now that we have...well, like Hayden said...we're both content."

They both look to one another, almost as if they were having trouble believing everything we had just said.

Finally, Infernias lets out a little grunt and nods. "Anything else?"

"Actually...yes." I said, reaching around to my backpack. "So...you guys said that you don't just show yourself to anybody, right? Well...some time back, a friend of mine's grandparents had actually met both of you as well; they even took a picture with you guys in it."

I finally pulled out the pictures that Whitney had given to me as a keepsake, before walking up to the two of them and holding the pictures up into the air. "See? Do you remember when this happened?"

They both stare at the pictures a bit blankly, before turning to one another with a puzzled look.

I pull my hand away and place the pictures back into my backpack, clearing my throat a bit before speaking. "I was wondering...Whitney told me that when her grandparents had met you guys, that you told them that they 'weren't the ones' or whatever...but if that is true...then why did the two of you show yourselves to them in the first place?"

"So...that's what the two of them were doing with that small device that they held." Infernias said with a little chuckle at the end.

Hurricor lets out a little grunt and smirks a bit. "A device to capture the image of the viewer, it seems. I will admit, I had not half expected to ever be able to look at my own self on a small peice of parchment."

"Uhh...I'll just go ahead and asssume that this means the two of you have never seen a picture before." Frank asked.

They both looked to one another and shook their heads.

I fold my arms and try my best to explain everything. "Well...yeah. They just took a picture of you guys with their pokedexes I'm guessing. Or maybe their actual camera or whatever...who knows. But...yeah that's just what people do when they see or experience something worth capturing the moment."

"I see." Infernias replied, a bit blankly as normal.

I put my fist up to my mouth and clear my throat a bit nervously. "Umm...anyway...uh...our question...if you don't mind."

Hurricor bows his head slightly and smiles. "Ah, forgive us. Well...truthfully, that is beacuse we had believed that it was the two of you at first. Though, once we had both gone through calling them by the two of your names...we had quickly realized that we were mistaken. Hence, why we had told them that they were not the ones that we were in search of."

"Woah...but...man that was like at least from the 1980's or some shit and...dude we weren't even born yet!" I said, looking over towards Frank as I had finished.

"And we know that now. It was not until just recently, a few years after the two of you were actually born into this world, that Hurricor here was able to come to pinpoint the two of you psychically." Infernias said, finally standing up. "We were not told of when the two of you would actually come...but only that you WOULD."

"But...by whom?" I asked, hoping to get another question in while they had been thrown off a bit.

Luckily, it had worked.

"Hmm...well, it was passed on to us by Arceus himself, just as it had been done to our ancestors who have also had gone through the same from their ancestors and their ancestors and so on so forth respectively. It is how Arceus has deemed it necessary for us to keep the balance in nature between human and pokemon."

"Holy...shit. That's...that's crazy." Suddenly a little light bulb had went off in my head, confusing me a bit even further than I had already been. "Hold up, time out...how...how long have you guys actually been waiting for us?"

They look to one another as if questioning each other a bit with their eyes, before Hurricor finally turns back to the two of us.

"I believe about...172 years now? Give or take." He said nonchalantly.

Frank and I both look to one another and our jaws instantly had hit the floor.

He shakes his head and laughs a bit nervously. "I...ah...I'm sorry, did you say...?"

"One hundred and seventy-two years, yes." Infernias replied, stepping forward a bit to take the lead. "Which is actually, quite short compared to some of our ancestors who have waited far longer than that."

I couldn't help but to shake my head a bit. I found it a bit hard to believe that someone would wait so long for something that may or may not even happen. "Man...that is crazy. So like...when you guys say that we're 'The chosen ones of this age' or...whatever...how long exactly is an age?"

Hurricor finally comes to stand as well, pondering at the question a bit. "Hmm...to you, it would be what you would compare to about 250 years. There are four total ages within one era."

"So I'm guessing that means that an era is 1000 years?" I asked curiously.

He closes his eyes for a moment to think, and nods. "Yes, that's correct."

Frank lets out a surprised little whistle and laughs. "That is literally in-fuckin-sane."

"Yeah like...what do you guys do if the trainers of your age, as you call it, don't end up showing up?" I asked.

"They always do. Be it a short or long wait...they ALWAYS...come." Infernias said it as if he couldn't possibly be wrong.

"But...how do you guys know for sure?" Frank added.

"Tell me, where are you two right now?" Hurricor asked, almost a bit cockily.

I just roll my eyes and scoff as bit to myself. "I mean...yeah...US. But...I mean like everyone else with your ancestors. Have any of them ever not been able to meet their 'Destined Trainers'"?

"According to Arceus, no. We pokemon are all created by him to trust in him undoubtedly, and that is exactly what we do. It is the sole reason that Infernias and I have sat here waiting for so long for just this exact moment." Hurricor lets out a little snicker and turns to face me directly. "And...here you are."

"Hmm...I guess you're right, but...250 years actually seems like kind of a small time frame to wait for someone who won't even live half that."

"Well, that may be true, but you are not the only ones whom we are destined to meet. Once the two of you pass and the time comes for the next age to begin, we then will have to prepare for it once again to meet whom we are destined to meet for that age, until we have completed our era in full."

"Holy crap so...you mean that you guys have to basically carry out an entire era, and not just one age? I'm guessing that also means that we won't be the only ones going through this either."

Hurricor nods lightly once more, and remains silent.

I shake my head in disbelief, trying my best to take in all of the information the best that I could. "I mean...how long do you guys even live for?"

"Until Arceus had deemed it the proper time for us to pass on into another life." Infernias said as looked down at Frank and I, smiling.

I nod and smile back, deciding not to question the matter any further. "Well...I'm really glad that you guys did wait. But...I have to say that the pleasure is definitely within our side. I mean...Frank and I are just two ordinary people. There is...nothing...LITERALLY NOTHING...special about the two of us in any way...I promise you that. But you guys on the other hand...do you guys actually understand how crazy some people would go for this opportunity? Bat shit crazy, dude. Seriously."

Infernias shrugs a bit and turns to face the wall. "Well, that may be. But that is all simply opinionated. To us, the opportunity to actually meet the ones that you you are destined to find in your age, face to face...would you two not say that...THAT within itself is indeed special also in it's own way?"

Frank looks over to me for a moment before finally smiling and nodding. "Yeah...I guess it is man."

"Indeed it is." Hurricor nods and smiles, before smirking and getting into somewhat of a defensive stance. "But now...it's time to put the two of you to the test."

Frank and I both cock our heads back and look to one another in a bit of a panic.

"I beg your pardon?" I asked nervously.

"Show us that you are truly the ones for this!" Infernias shouted, fire suddenly beginning to form from within his beak.

Frank quickly throws his hand up in front of him and shakes his head. "HOLD UP WE SAID WE WEREN'T GONNA!..."

Without any hesitation, Infernias let out a full fledged fire blast directly towards Frank and Angie.

"SHIT!" He yelled, diving to the side to avoid the attack.

"Yo, guys what gives?!" I yelled, a bit agitated that they had attacked so suddenly without warning. Unfortunately it didn't look like we had much of a choice now. I shook my head briefly and let out a little sigh before turning my attention to Frank. "Grr...fuck, looks like we're actually getting what we came for eh Frank?"

"You got that right. Let's hit em with everything we got!" He yelled, pointing at Infernias in particular.

They both laugh a bit loudly, almost as if proud that we were actually fighting them.

"That's more like it! Don't hold anything back!" Hurricor shouted loudly, quickly opening his mouth and forming what looked to be a massive glowing ball of some sort.

I clench my fist and grit my teeth a bit, trying my best to come up with some sort of strategy. "Shit...if the stories and stuff that I've heard before are true...I think that's a Lugia's signature Aeroblast move. Definitely don't want to be hit with one of those!"

Without further hesitation, Hurricor lets out the powerful blast straight towards Ranie.

"Ranie, teleport! NOW!"

Before I could even finish my sentence, she was already in the process, successfully coming to dodge the powerful attack.

"Hurry Ranie, hit him with Magical leaf!"

"Angie, use Bounce!"

Both of our pokemon launch their moves quickly without hesitation; both moves had perfectly connected...but had left literally no scratch on either of the two legendaries.

Frank lets out a little grunt before pointing back towards Infernias once again. "C'mon Angie let's hit him with another one!"

"Alright Ranie let's try a different approach this time, hit em with psychic!"

Both of our pokemon connect perfectly with their moves once again one behind the other...and once again, not a single scratch on the legendaries.

Hurricor and Infernias both begin to laugh almost a bit maniacally, causing me to swallow hard out of sheer terror at the sudden change of atmosphere. "What the hell? Something doesn't seem right about this..."

After attacking, Ranie quickly runs back over to my side. "Arceus, our moves aren't doing anything to them!"

Angie lands down on the ground next to Frank's side after connecting with the bounce move and shakes her head a bit. "Jeez it's like he doesn't even feel it!"

"Seriously, they're just taking the hits like it's nothing Frank!" I yelled over to him.

He lets out an annoyed grunt and clenches his fist tightly. "Ya think! Shit, and we thought we we're ready for THIS? Remind me to punch myself in the face when this is said and done!"

"Yeah seriously, what the hell were we thinking?"

"Prepare yourselves!" Hurricor shouted, releasing a quick psybeam attack.

Infernias gives off an almost evil grin and laughs, letting out a powerful flamethrower attack.

"TELEPORT!"

"ANGIE, MOVE!"

Luckily, they had both heeded our warning quick enough to dodge the attacks once again just in the nick of time.

"Rragh...screw this dude, time to go all out! Angie?..." Frank shouted, turning his attention towards her and gaining her full on attention before he gave a small grin. "Hyper beam."

I cock my head back a bit in surprise when I had heard what he told her. "What the hell I didn't know he even taught her that..." I said to myself.

Angie nods proudly and begins to charge up the powerful beam within her mouth without hesitation; the energy forming had grown in size with each passing second.

"Hurricor, let us focus on the rabbit!" Infernias shouted, quickly releasing another set of flames directly towards Angie without hesitation.

He nods along and launches another psybeam, this time directly towards Angie as well.

"Oh shit...Ranie!" I quickly threw my hand towards Angie's direction and pointed. "Get in front of her and use protect! Hurry!"

Ranie teleports directly in front of Angie in a heartbeat and immediately throws her hands up in front of her and her sister, forming a protective veil over the two of them just in time to block the attacks.

The two legendaries both grunt in annoyance and let out another set of attacks at them again, but this time when they had hit...

The veil had disappeared, and Ranie had let out a painful yelp as she had flown backwards into Angie, disrupting her in the process of charging her attack.

I let out a gasp and without even thinking, quickly ran over to her side and put my hand upon her shoulder as I knelt next to her. "Ranie! Are you alright?"

Infernias and Hurricor both slowly make their way a bit closer towards the four of us.

"Ahh..t...that one actually hurt pretty bad...I can't believe it actually broke through.." She said, lowering her head a bit in pain. "Heheh...o-oww..."

"God...damnit..." I began gritting my teeth as I slowly stood up in front of her myself, looking up directly towards Hurricor in particular.

He raises his head a bit and stops in his place mid-air to meet my gaze before giving me a bit of a glare. "Move."

I let out a grunt under my breath and give him a very pissed off stare. "What gives man? Is this shit really necessary? This isn't even some friendly battle anymore to 'put us to the test'. You guys are going too far!"

"Move. Now."

"I thought you said we were all destined to meet so we could help keep the peace and balance in nature? If that's the case, then why would we fight like this? This isn't my idea of a peaceful or friendly battle!"

"Hayden. MOVE."

Why not when me and Frank first got here didn't you two just SHOW the two of us how we can actually keep the peace or whatever! Isn't that what we're here for anyway? I mean is fighting like THIS really necessary?"

"GET. OUT. OF THE WAY." Hurricor gritted his teeth a bit, clearly beginning to get quite agitated now.

"Why in the hell do we even have to fight? You said you want us to show you what we've got, and I get that, but you two could have seen that for yourself when the time had actually come when Frank and I get involved in another battle again if it was that necessary for you two to see. Battling is supposed to be a fun experience, and it's supposed to help you strengthen your bond between you and your pokemon. But this? This isn't fun or helping anything at all, because you two are going too far with this! You've already shown damn well that you two are obviously the stronger beings, so why do we have to continue with this?" I looked up towards Hurricor once again to search for some sort of reaction.

He didn't even look phased in the slightest. "I'm only saying it once more. Mo-"

"I'M NOT GONNA FUCKIN MOVE, MAN!" I screamed to the top of my lungs, my voice echoing off the walls of the cave; a few loose rocks had even fallen from the ceiling.

For a solid ten seconds, nothing but silence had passed before I had finally brought myself to speak again, a bit more calm this time.

"This is...it's bullshit, guys. Look, I know we planned on fighting you guys at first and...even possibly capturing you before we even knew that we were destined to find you or whatever, yeah I get that...but even then, this is NOT how I had planned on it being. If I knew shit would have been like this..." I slowly turn my head away and let out a big sigh. "I wouldn't have even bothered in the first place."

Another few seconds of silence passes before Frank decides to say a little something himself. "You know, I've got one last question to ask the two of you." He said, looking up towards Infernias in particular. "Why ARE we doing this anyway? I mean what does THIS have to do with keeping the balance in nature? I agree with what Hayden said at first, none of this makes any sense to me."

"And honestly, if this is how it's supposed to be, do you just expect me to stand back and watch you just...literally beat the shit out of our pokemon like this? We faint pokemon in battles, not fucking kill them!"

Hurricor lets out a little annoyed grunt and shakes his head. "Their lives are not what matter. This is the sole reason that we are putting you to such a test. If these pokemon you have now, cannot even withstand what power we withold, then what use would they be if an even more powerful entity brings war to this world once again? If they would not hold their own simply with us, then they are useless for that purpose, and are not needed."

"Are you freaking serious right now?" I said, gritting my teeth so hard I could almost feel them getting filed down.

Hurricor simply nods silently.

"Hmph. Then you can kiss my ass. BOTH of you can. I'm not moving a God damn muscle, cause if they're going down and there's nothing I can do about it, then I'm going the fuck down with them."

Ranie let's out a little gasp from behind my back and slowly looks up towards me. "H...Hayden..."

"And so am I." Frank said proudly, stepping forward next to me as well all of a sudden. "No matter WHAT fuckin pokemon we have, that shouldn't even matter. If we're meant to protect the world and keep the peace or whatever, then that's what we'll do regardless."

"Oh Frank..." Angie muttered softly behind the two of us.

"Our pokemon are NOT useless. In any way whatsoever. Yeah, granted...we may not be the best suitable to be able to protect the world...but that doesn't mean we aren't going to try our best anyway." I take another step forward in front of Ranie and fold my arms. "So if you want me to move just so you can hurt them, then you might as well just attack me instead."

The two legendaries both look to one another briefly before they both smile, almost genuinely.

"Come on. Go. I haven't got all day."

Hurricor begins forming another ball of energy for his aeroblast, though this time, it couldn't have been any bigger than a marble. Then...

"Come on, you gonna attack me or w-huh?" Suddenly I felt a little burst of air hit my chest, just barely harder than a normal gust of wind. I immediately begin looking around for the source, only to find Hurricor chuckling a bit to himself.

I cock my head back a bit before finally catching on to what had happened. "Wait, did you just..."

"Attack you? Yes." He said with a smirk as he lowered himself to the ground.

"I think it's safe to say that they're definitely the ones." Infernias said as he finally came to land as well.

"Okay time out. What the hell is this now?" Frank asked out of confusion.

Infernias lets out a barely audible chuckle and looks up towards Frank. "You two passed."

Frank's mouth had hung completely agape. "...WHAT?! What the hell does that even-"

"Did we not say that we were putting you two to the test?"

I sigh to myself, a bit annoyed now at the amount of confusion. "So you mean battling us to the point of almost KILLING our pokemon, is putting us to the test?! Not to mention that we didn't even freaking win the damn battle, OBVIOUSLY. So how in the hell do you call that passing?"

"We never said that the battle itself was the test." Hurricor spoke out suddenly, taking a step forward. "But more of...what your ACTIONS...would be in such a situation. You two both showed a great amount of courage, even in the face of what could have actually been death...you two truly are pure of heart."

"We had no intentions whatsoever of...killing anything. We only made it seem that way as part of the test. And like we said before, You definitely passed." Infernias looks over towards us and our pokemon before finally coming to a smile. "You two couldn't be any more perfect for this. We entrust ourselves to you entirely, should the time ever come for us to actually be needed."

I raise an eye and look over towards Frank, who had turned his attention over towards Infernias. "What...exactly do you mean by that?" He asked.

"Well, as said before you are the trainers of this age to keep the balance in-"

Frank quickly shakes his head and lets out a little sigh. "No no, we got that part...but I mean like...well we passed the test so...what now?"

They both look to one another briefly before turning back towards us.

"Well, as we said, we are entrusted to you two now." Hurricor said matter-of-factly.

"I mean yeah that too but...does that mean each of your ancestors had done the same? Met up with their trainers and then just stood by 'just in case' they were needed for...I'm guessing the prevention on another pokemon war from breaking out? That's what you guys mean by keeping the balance and peace in nature, isn't it?"

Hurricor nods proudly and smiles. "That's correct."

I finally decide to step forward for myself to try my best to piece this puzzle all together. "But wait, what happens if no war or like...no chaos or anything even occurs in this age...then what?"

"Well, then that means that the balance is being kept as needed."

I just nod and look off into the darkness for the moment. "I see..."

Hurricor turns to face the pool of water that he had originally emerged from. "But, if anything did happen to occur in this age, THEN would come the time where we will all have to act upon it." He said.

Infernias nods and turns around as well to face the darkness himself. "So should the time ever come where we are needed to help maintain balance...we will be here in this very cave, ready to fight by your side."

They both begin slowly walking side by side off into the darkness, almost to where I couldn't even see them anymore at all.

I look over to Frank, who just looks over at me and smiles.

I smile back and nod, before turning towards the direction the two legendaries had been traversing towards. "Actually, just a second guys." I called out to them.

They both stop and turn back towards me simultaneously.

"What is it?" Hurricor asked with an eye raised.

I turn away to face the ground by my feet...and then smile a bit to myself. "I've got a better idea."
