This Chapter isn't very good I know but, I am just trying to get into the swing of writing this fanfiction again after having a long time off. I hope you will like it :-).
"Welcome home" Dixie muttered under her breath "It will be alright Dix, she will come round" Jeff said placing his arm round Dixie who smiled weakly "yeah I suppose" Dixie went up stairs to bed leaving Jeff down stairs with Olivia.
Once Olivia went to bed Jeff decided to turn in he walked up stairs quietly, opened his and Dixie's bedroom door, and closed it quietly behind him stripped down to his boxers and climbed into bed pulling the covers over him. Jeff turned to look at Dixie who clearly had been crying so he moved closer to Dixie, placed a light kiss to her lips, and wrapped his arm round her and Dixie naturally snuggled closer to Jeff.
The next morning Dixie was sitting at the breakfast bar with a steaming hot cup of coffee staring into space when Maddie walked down stairs only to stop seeing her mother there. Maddie took a deep breath before she stormed into the kitchen grabbing a bowl pouring cereal walked over to the fridge and poured in the milk and put it back closing the fridge door putting the spoon into the bowl and took a mouthful walking past her mother not saying a word and went back to her room. Dixie sighed and went back to looking out of the window.
Mean while Maddie was on her computer when an IM from Emily popped up.
Ems: Hey Maddie, what happened the other day at the party we were looking for you
Maddz: I got lost and well a friend of my parents found me and took me to hers so, I stayed the night and well my parents found out about the party and took my phone off me.
Ems: Oh, that sucks, do you fancy coming round mine after school, and you might have to wait until I get back from my horse-riding lesson if that is ok.
Maddz: I do not know if my parents will let me but I will try
Ems: see you soon
Maddie ended the chat and got ready for school but the first thing she had to do was ask her parents. Maddie got ready for school and once she was, ready she walked down stairs to see her father on his own and she took the opportunity to ask him instead of her mother.
"Dad, can I go round Emily's to do some revising?" Maddie asked walking into the kitchen and over to her father who was standing at the sink in his work uniform washing up.
"I don't know princess" Maddie sighed "It's just studying I promise and then I will come home"
Jeff thought about it for a few seconds "alright as long as you come straight home after" Maddie hugged her had "Thanks dad" Maddie hugged her father.
Dixie went into work early so Jeff dropped the girls to school and headed into work. Soon it was time for Maddie to go to Emily's house which was a couple of blocks from her home so she made her way there and knocked on the door "Hi is Emily there please" Maddie asked politely "I'm afraid she's at her horse riding lesson but, you're welcome to come inside and wait" Emily's mother said smiling at Maddie.
"Great thanks" Maddie knew where Emily's bedroom was so she made her way there and sat down on her bed and looked round at the large and posh looking bedroom. After being there a few minutes she heard Emily's computer make a noise with a message so she slowly walked over to see that Emily was talking to the girls before she left for her lesson. An Idea came to her so, she pretended to be Emily and started talking to the girls and they were sure it was Emily. Maddie smiled as she typed away she told the girls that Maddie was alright that they should be nice to her and accept her to their group and the girls didn't even question any of it .
Maddie thought she better call it a day before she got caught so closed the chats then she left Emily's bed room and called out to her mother "I can't wait any longer and my parents want me home but, please Tell Emily I'm sorry I had to go early and thank you" Maddie left and walked home feeling better knowing that the girls would be nice to her tomorrow and except her in their group.
Once Maddie arrived home Olivia was sitting at the dinning the table with Jeff sitting there helping her with her homework whilst Dixie was working on the dinner.
"Hey dad, Olivia" Maddie said brightly "hey princess, how did the studying go" Jeff asked taking his eyes of Olivia for a second to look at Maddie.
"Oh I had to leave because Emily was still at her horse riding lesson so I thought I rather come home" Maddie shrugged and walked into the kitchen whilst Jeff went back to helping Olivia.
"Mum" Dixie turned round to look at Maddie for a split second.
"I know your angry with me and well I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the way I acted yesterday and well everything the last couple of days" Dixie stopped for a second but carried on a second later "OK" Maddie said weakly and walked away slowly but was stopped when Dixie spoke "come here sweetheart" Dixie opened her arms and Maddie willingly walked into her mother's arms.
