Three coins collided quietly with the wooden desk, uttering no words, yet communicating enough to the merchant.

Such an empty sound. It held the lost souls of a thousand, too many of which swore against their very fate at one time.

It left her hollow, dissatisfied as of late.

Clunk.

She barely even wondered why as a piece of candy fell unceremoniously onto the desk.

Ugh. I'm yearning to write something fantastic, but I don't know how. My inspiration just sits and bakes nowadays. For some reason, the things I spend the most time on get the least attention.
