Chapter 37: The Hunter Returns – …Allison?
They went into a panic when Adriana collapsed onto the floor. Although the two werewolves didn't understand exactly what was said, they knew the result. At first, the blue eyed beta feared it was death as he rushed to the dream walkers' side, cupping her soft cheeks in his hands. The true alpha went into shock, though tears silently streamed down his cheeks.
Still, the young Hale looked to the alpha, nodding that she was still breathing…but they knew that Brunski's words would remain true…that the human boy wouldn't wake up if she was dealt with. They understood what those words meant, and the weight of it crushed the two of them as they held the two who were trapped in the wicked world of bardow.
The true alpha's eyes did not leave his best friend until a soft mumble escaped Adriana's lips that even made Derek freeze…the world went still, at least to the two of them, when she whispered Allison's name.
…PRESENT…
As soon as I saw the girl that stood before me, I instantly knew who it was. Somehow in my heart, despite the arrows being evidence enough, it was pure in my mind who the girl was. From what the others have told me and not seeing a picture of her, she was exactly how everyone described her.
Strong. Loving. Brave. Beautiful.
"Allison." Stiles whispered again. This time, I can barely hear his voice, it was too hoarse and I knew the emotions were getting to him. Me…I held on to tighter to the silver arrow that Isaac gave me, the one that saved his life. The last arrow that she fired before she was killed. My jaw was dropped to the floor and I didn't know what to say. I hoped Stiles would say something, but nothing came out. I wanted to turn to him and tell him its okay, but I couldn't even turn to him.
But I knew what his facial expression must have looked like, jaw dropped to the floor, eyes watery. Kind of like mine.
"Allison," Stiles croaked out again. I heard the leaves crunch beneath him, and I finally turned to him as he shakily rose to his feet. His hands were clutched tightly into fists and I could see his shaky breath escape him like fog. But my chest ached seeing how he was ready to burst out into tears. "I-Is that really…a-are you re-really-"
"Stiles," She spoke finally, causing Stiles to stifle a gasp. She began to nod as a small smile formed on her lips. There was a wind that radiantly blew her hair behind her, so you can clearly see her eyes becoming glossy. "It's me Stiles."
Now Stiles was trembling, I can see his eyes growing wide in fear now. I took a small step backwards, and my heart broke seeing Allison become confused.
"Stiles-"
"You can't be here," He said quickly now, one tear sliding down his cheek. "You aren't here. You are just another demon here to torment me!"
Now the hunter's smile disappeared as concern took over her features. I found myself again and moved towards his trembling frame, his eyes still locked on Allison's.
"Stiles, I don't think this is a demon-"
"Yes it is! They want me to suffer here and this," He cried out now in a raging voice, pointing to Allison who took a step back in shock and disbelief. "This is the worst!"
"Stiles, that's your friend," I said trying to calm him down. "I've seen people in here that weren't demons…but…but angels-"
"You don't get it Addie!" He screamed now, finally facing me, clenching my shoulders tightly as I met his watery eyes, his face red from the tears. "They a torturing me because of what I did! I did this Addie, I put myself here!"
"What the hell do you mean!"
"Adriana, I KILLED HER!"
It was like the world slowed down once more as the words escaped his lips. I found my breathing becoming shaky, slowing down as my throat constricted. My eyes locked with his, and he broke. Stiles lowered his head, clutching his eyes shut as he tried to hold back tears. I was too much in shock to speak, and my body wasn't registering just how tightly Stiles was squeezing my shoulders.
"No," I whispered as my own tears began to fall," I whispered in the air, my voice lost. I shook my head trying to gather up my words. "They said the nogitsune killed her. The oni…it…you? No not you! Why on earth would you say that-"
"It was my fault," He croaked out. "I was too weak when I was in Eichen House…I let him in and…it forced Scott to separate us…when we did…the nogitsune took Lydia, we went to save her…and…that's when…"
I didn't believe him when he said he killed Allison. I didn't have to be there to know the truth myself. But seeing Stiles Stilinski…break like this…
"Had I not let him in, she would still be alive. And the nogitsune was still me…When we split…we were connected…he was still part of me…I was part of him in a way…b-but either way you look at it…I-it was m-my fault…I…I killed Allison-"
"Stiles. Enough." her voice said demanding. We both turned to the huntress who walked towards Stiles with a sure confidence. Stiles stiffened as she drew near, and I could only watch as Stiles' breathing began to quicken.
"Don't hurt m-"
"Stiles, please," She begged now, her eyes watering up. "That night, I knew what was at stake…my life for my best friend. Anyone could have gotten hurt that night…anyone could have-"
"By me Allison! By me! I let that thing in! If I was strong like you and Scott, I wouldn't have become possessed and killed you! And this isn't really you so go ahead, say what you want to say…say 'how could you Stiles!' Take away a life so precious, leaving two boys heartbroken! Leaving a broken girl without a best friend! Breaking the pack in two! Leaving your father who has already lost so much with NOTHING! Tell me I deserve this, being trapped here because of what I have done and was unable to prevent. Tell me if I wasn't a pathetic, weak human that none of this would have happened…if I would have just stayed home…the night the body was in the woods, not dragging Scott to go look for it…you…you would still be here…no one would be dead…and that…that it should have been…been my life instead of yours."
Now tears were flowing freely down my cheeks, burning my eyes as Stiles clenched his fists tightly. The cold wind causing goosebumps down all of our arms. Allison raised her head, and one tear streamed down her face as she forced a smile.
"Fine…how could you Stiles?" She whispered then. Anger flooded through me as she walked over to Stiles who was trembling now, eyes wide. I was about to step in when all of a sudden, as Stiles flinched and I was ready to step in, she reach her hands forward. I was going to scream in anger as soon as she pushed Stiles to the ground.
But no, that didn't happen.
Her arms reached forward, and she pulled Stiles to her into a tight embrace. Stiles went still like a statue, the shock evident on his features. Allison was crying now as she squeezed him tighter.
"How could you blame yourself for this?" She croaked out now. I heard Stiles choke out a gasp as she gently, but forced him to meet her eyes. "You did the best you could. Without you, everyone else would probably be dead too. The only thing I am furious about right now…is the fact that…I left you here thinking you were to blame…and Stiles I know you're too stubborn and probably won't forgive me no matter how many times I will tell you it wasn't your fault…so I'll say this instead…"
"Stiles Stilinski…I forgive you."
I held my breath as Stiles' eyes widened then, and his eyes immediately filled with tears as mine did. His lips quivered as he shook his head in disbelief. Allison sucked in an unsteady breath through her nose and gave a sincere smile as one more tear streamed down her cheek. Stiles was trembling, unsteady as his knees buckled. But still, he reached forward, softly touching Allison's cheek where her tear stayed. It was as if at that moment, it clicked. The realization hit him hard then and Allison began to cry with him.
"It's really you," Stiles barely whispered. "I can't believ-Allison!"
Stiles pulled her to him, burying his head in her shoulder as she held onto him tightly, trying to calm him, and rubbing his back in circles though he continued to wail. I saw several tears escape her, and I wanted to turn away to give the two their privacy, but my eyes were glued on the Stiles' relief. They remained like this for quite some time, I don't know how long it took but finally, Allison's soft brown eyes met mine. I sucked in a breath seeing her smile widen.
"You must be Addie." She smiled. My jaw dropped, and all I could do was nod. Allison released Stiles who stood still, eyes still on Allison as the hunter approached me.
"Scott went through a lot of trouble to find you," She breathed. "And I got to say…I'm so thankful they found you Addie."
"Y-you have been watching me?" I said then. Allison then stifled a sob.
"I've been watching all of you," she smiled then. "I…I'll always be watching over you guys. Adriana…you have done a lot for this pack, for my friends. You have given them hope, and have brought the almost back to normal-"
"Excuse me?" I said almost bitterly, causing Allison to look confused. "I don't know if you know this but, I managed to get myself locked in here by that psychopath and not to mention, got one of your friends killed!" I was crying now, but I didn't care at this point.
"I was supposed to be the solution, but I ended up being the cause of everyone's pain! I'm not like the others, I'm not like you!" Allison gave a meek smile then, stepping forward placing her soft hand on my shoulder.
"Don't be like me then," She said simply. "Don't try to be like the others…just be you. And I promise, you'll achieve far greater things. But with that life Addie, I have to warn you…death is inevitable and unpreventable even with a banshee like Lydia with you. So promise me, whatever happens, you do not blame yourself for what is to come. There are certain forces that you cannot control, so please do NOT blame yourself…and just be strong." Her words of warning sent chills down my spine, and her words of authority reached me. I slightly shook my head, worried about what she meant.
"What is coming?" I whispered. Allison's eyes watered then.
"I can't say," She said with a watery smile. "All I can tell you is that it will be difficult…but you are never alone." She leaned forward and hugged me then, and I held my breath.
"Thank you…thank you for protecting them. Watching over them as I am." She pulled back and reached for her silver arrow that was wrapped around my neck. She smirked then.
"Use it with pride," She said then. "Stiles will show you were it is."
Now I was confused again. "Where what is?"
"My bow and arrows." Allison grinned. She took a few step backwards, turning to Stiles whose jaw was still dropped in shock and amazement. I met his golden eyes then that were as watery as mine when suddenly, his went wide. I turned to Allison who began to cry then staring at me…no…staring past me…
"Isaac." She gasped.
I spun around quickly on my heel, turning to see him, actually standing there. His golden brown curls illuminated in the night. His eyes didn't read death, but light. I couldn't move or breath, but he just walked casually towards me, with a crooked smile on his face. I tried to say something, but nothing came out. When his eyes met mine, I wanted to apologize. I wanted to sob, scream, shout, collapse but neither of those things happened. Isaac simply put a hand on my shoulder making me freeze.
"Adriana." He said with a smile.
"Isaac I'm-" He pulled me to a hug then.
"Addie," He whispered. "I forgive you."
…
It was like everything broke then. I just sobbed, holding onto the beta that I got killed…but he forgave me. But how could he? Yet, I felt a release, something I haven't felt in a long time. I missed Isaac, he kept the pack whole too, with his snarky remarks and witty comebacks. That night, it felt like my fault…but right now…a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. And I couldn't thank him enough for it.
We pulled apart then, and Isaac smiled, making his way towards Stiles who was rushing towards him now. The two hugged each other, not saying much, but nothing needed to be said. They broke apart and Stiles moved so now, it was Allison and Isaac, staring at each other. She began to cry again, pursing her lips so no tears would fall.
Isaac gave a sad smile, and Allison broke.
"I'm so sorry," she croaked then. Isaac's smile disappeared and he rushed towards her. "I didn't-and I-you died…Isaac I'm-"
"Allison." He whispered then as his hands softly cupped her cheeks, gently pulling her to him. She wrapped her arms around him as he continued to wipe away her tears with his fingertips.
"Isaac," She whispered. "I-"
"I know." He nodded, tears now escaping him. The two sobbed as their lips crashed into each other, the wind in bardow blowing wildly as they held onto each other tighter. I felt Stiles' hand now intertwining with mine, and I squeezed in response, silently telling him that I understood. The two finally pulled apart, now locking hands together…and I doubt they would let go. They turned to us now, and Stiles squeezed my hand harder.
"Be strong, both of you," She whispered. "Addie, remember what I said. Promise me-"
"I'll watch over them," I vowed. "I promise Allison."
Suddenly, there was a huge white light that formed behind those two. As it grew, they faced each other, kissing each other once more. I turned to Stiles then whose eyes were wide now. I closed my eyes then, and my head began to spin. I felt like I had to throw up, my stomach turned wildly. My eyes shot open and I inhaled loudly then. My eyes burned as I adjusted to the dim light. I was struggling to recover my breathing when he appeared in front of my face.
My vision didn't fully adjust, but I knew exactly who it was. I felt his arms pull me into him, holding me tight as I clung to him then, feeling safe in his arms.
"Don't you ever do that again." He said softly.
"Derek." I breathed. "Brun-Brunski. Where is he?" Derek huffed as I closed my eyes.
"Knocked out cold. He's detained, but we have to move. Police are on their way." I thought about what happened before I went under, and my thoughts went straight to Deaton. Brunski got his book, and there was only one way he could have gotten it.
I looked up to see Scott getting off the phone, his brown eyes meeting mine. My pulse was rising as I prepared to get up, but Derek kept me still.
"Scott, where's Deaton? Is he-"
"On his way," Scott sighed in relief. "He's okay Addie, he's fine."
"Oh thank god," I gasped as I leaned back into Derek's' chest. More shaken breaths were escaping me as tears spilled from my eyes. Derek squeezed tighter, resting his chin on the top of my forehead as I gripped the back of his shirt tightly. I couldn't process anything, it was all too unreal. Isaac was there…and Allison…
I felt so guilty about what happened to Isaac that it built up inside and made me break. He was innocent and I felt responsible for his death. But seeing him there…saying he forgave me. It was like a 10,000 pound weight was on my shoulders before, sending knots to my stomach. But those words, though I still don't think I deserve them, lifted them off of my back.
Maybe that's how I was able to wake up despite Brunski's chant to trap me in bardow. Isaac's words helped me with this guilt. Helped me let go…
…oh my god.
My eyes snapped open and I pushed away from Derek, meeting his shocked wide eyes.
"Adriana, what are you-"
I tuned him out then, not paying attention to him. I was scrambling now, rushing over to Scott. The true alpha turned to me, not knowing what I was thinking or doing. Scott moved out of the way, shaking his head confused as I cupped Stiles' cheeks. His hair was soaked in sweat, and at that moment, I took in just how exhausted I really was.
My hands were shaky and my stomach turned, but my eyes were locked on Stiles, taking in the moles on his soft skin. I put my head on Stiles' chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. My eyes quickly met Scott's and Dereks.
"He's fine," Scott panted, and it was then I noticed just how exhausted he was too. "Adriana, we have to move, we need to get him back to the-" But Scott was cut off as Derek made his way to him, eyes wider than I have ever seen. I knew Derek understood.
I heard the rising of heart beats and just as Scott turned to Derek with his lost, confused expression, it was as if his face went cold. The pulse was rising and I brought myself back to his face, the position of my body blocking the other two werewolves.
"C'mon, I whispered barely. "Please. PLEASE. You can do it." I was trembling now, the tips of my fingers soaking up in sweat. Now my heart was pounding wildly, and it felt like the room went silent. I searched for his hand and gripped it tightly, my eyes threatening to water again but I shook it off instantly, squeezing it tightly.
"C'mon Stiles." My voice cracked, making it almost impossible to understand. My body was exhausted as sweat built up on the back of my neck, soaking my dirty blonde hair. I gave his hand another squeeze, when it began to burn. I cringed, letting out a soft grunt. It was burning, why was it burning? I looked at my left hand that was holding onto Stiles' and I saw it right before my eyes. It was burning, but the shock of it kept my attention. Right there, on the side of my hand between the area of my thumb and index finger, a circle burned onto my skin. I watched in awe as a moon, sun, and star formed on the inside of it, lines crossing over each other like an organized knot.
The burning sensation was underneath my palm as well, but this burned worse and I let go of Stiles' hand. Buy my eyes followed as the same symbol, though red not black like mine, was on his palm.
A loud, deep inhale of air snapped me out of my thoughts, and instantly, my eyes followed the source of the sound. My hands reached for his face, and my chest felt like it was going to explode.
"Stiles?" I cried out, my voice coming back to me. His eyes were scrunched together, as he struggled to gasp for air, I rolled him on his side, his soaked back against my knees as he threw up on the floor. His body was trembling worse than mine, but I held him firmly so his body wouldn't fall into it.
After a little while, my hope was at its peak as he stopped puking. His body rolled onto his back, and I hovered above him, staring at his face that was now relaxed. I'm pretty sure I said his name, but it still felt like no sound came out. So I tried again.
"Stiles?"
His eyelashes moved so slightly, and my hands cradled his head, my eyes wide as I held my breath. The world seemed to be moving slowly and the weight of the world was in my stomach. The journey that I took to get to this moment, the trials that I faced flashed into my mind and I can feel my eyes threatening to water for getting my hopes up…
…I thought I was dreaming then. Slowly, golden honey brown eyes appeared and my eyes widened as I gritted my teeth in disbelief. His eyes were wandering now, trying to focus, exhaustion evident.
"Stiles?" I whispered, as tears now began to form. Then there they were, his golden brown eyes locked on mine as his irises began to focus. My hands were still cradling his face as he met my eyes now, shock spreading on his face. Disbelief came first, and he shook his head until finally it hit him. His lips quivered as he looked deeply into my green eyes.
"Addie." He croaked out.
"OH THANK GOD!" I cried out now, my body surged forward, leaning onto him as I squeezed him tightly. He moaned in response so I loosened my grip, my head on his shoulder as his arms looped around my back. I was gasping now, and I was too happy to care about how exhausted I was.
Stiles was awake.
…
I refused to believe that I was the one who truly helped Stiles wake up from his slumber in bardow, though I did have a role to play. The true hero was Allison. She saved him, and I'll forever be in debt to her.
I pulled away from Stiles who was still in disbelief when a meek smile crossed my face. Stiles was confused until he looked past me, his eyes locking onto someone else's. I heard shuffling behind me, but I watched as Stiles' eyes began to water quickly.
"Stiles?" I heard Scott croak. Stiles let one tear escape him as he attempted to lift his upper body, though he had no strength to do so. Still, he let one more tear escape him as his lips quivered, his breathing become louder.
"Scott." He whimpered. I heard the stomping of feet, and I moved out of the way quickly just as the true alpha slid next to his best friend. Scott cradled his best friends head, lifting him up slowly as Stiles wished, though he winced in pain. But then their two eyes locked and Stiles gripped tightly onto Scott's shoulder.
"Tell me this is real," Stiles begged now. "Tell me this isn't a dream-"
"I swear to you Stiles," Scott said sternly, though his eyes were filling with tears. "I'm real…and you're home." Scott's voice cracked at the end. Stiles was shaking now, nodding quickly, as tears kept falling. Stiles wailed as Scott pulled him to him, the two holding each other tightly, both sobbing.
Scott finally let his tears fall, as he squeezed Stiles tightly. The two of them didn't seem like they would let go any time soon, and I had a smile on my face as tears escaped my eyes, listening to them.
"I'm so sorry Stiles." I heard Scott cry.
"Scott, I was so scared I was going to be there forever," Stiles whimpered as he squeezed Scott. "Scott, I was so afraid."
"I'm here now Stiles," Scott promised. "You'll never go back to that place, I promise. I'm here Stiles, I'm here." They stayed like that and I wiped away my own tears, still a smile on my face. A warm hand was on my shoulder, and I looked up to see Derek, eyes soft with a smile on his face, an expression of relief I haven't seen before. His eyes met mine and I smiled through my tears as he gave my shoulder a squeeze.
"You did it Adriana," He beamed. "You brought him back." I huffed lightly, shaking my head.
"No. Allison did." I whispered. Derek smiled wider, now fully facing me as I turned to him.
"I guessed that," he admitted, surprising me. He gave a sad smile now. "When you were in bardow…you said her name." I didn't know how to respond to that, my eyes widened and my mind flashed to the hunter. I still can see her smile crystal clear, her hair blowing in the wind as she gripped onto her bow. I felt tears form, but a small smile spread across my face.
"I know the truth Adriana," Derek said softly. "You both brought him home." I met his eyes then, and my body moved forward without thinking. His arms wrapped around me then as I let my silent tears fall down my cheeks.
"It was horrifying," I admitted. "Being there, I never want to go back." Derek pulled away, his hands now cupping my cheeks, wiping away my tears. His face was soft, but stern.
"And you don't ever have to go back," He assured me. "You don't have to be afraid anymore, you're safe…I'll keep you safe."
We stayed like that, staring deeply into each other, and my heart was pounding wildly, and I couldn't even try to internally count numbers to try to hide it. I was contemplating in my head what to do now. We were so close to each other, yet I felt like I couldn't move. The world seemed to come back to me again when a flash of lights reflected behind us.
"That can't be the police yet," I noted. "There would be sirens." Derek lifted his head, and his smile widened slightly.
"It's the others. They are here."
"Scott!" I recognized that voice. I reluctantly turned out of Derek's hold and faced the doors towards the front. Scott and Stiles looked up, seeing the door slide open. I held my breath as Lydia, Malia, Kira, and Jackson rushing inside. "Addie! Derek! Where-"
The banshee stopped in midsentence. Her eyes landed on the two boys who were sitting on the floor. Mainly, her emotional tether. But then my eyes flashed to Malia, who was smiling wide, teeth showing. Stiles gave a soft chuckle, a small smile across his lips.
"'Sup guys." He croaked out. She moved forward at a sprint, her tears falling now as she raced towards him. Even in heels, I have never seen anyone run this fast. She slid onto the ground and Scott backed away in time as she wrapped her arms around him. Stiles' body threatened to fall backwards, but Scott extended his arms to prevent his best friend from falling backwards. Stiles held her instantly, his fingers entangled in her strawberry blonde hair.
"Stiles," She sobbed. "Stiles."
"Shhh, Lyd. I'm okay." Stiles soothed.
"I missed you so much," she said into is shoulder. "Don't you leave me too." Now Stiles watered up with her, and the two understood each other.
"I promise." He vowed as he held her tighter. Curious, my eyes flashed to the werecoyote. I couldn't read her face. I didn't know if she was mad or upset. But then, Jackson stood beside her, and they shared a smile. They faced us once more, both happy. Stiles and Lydia pulled apart and Scott put a shoulder on his best friend.
"We need to get you back to the hospital," He said then. "You have a lot of healing to do."
"Yeah, kinda wish none of the stuff I faced transferred over to the real world. It was kind of bitch to face," Stiles smirked. But then his eyes met mine again. "Thankfully you were there Addie. I don't know what I would have done without you. You helped me through it. Thank you."
Now all of their eyes were on me, and I felt my cheeks burn. Their smiles and stares all silent thank yous. My hand reached up to the silver arrowhead however, and I closed my eyes knowing full well who else should be thanked. Flashes of red and blue reflected on the ceiling and we all shared a unified look.
"They'll be looking for Brunski," Scott said. "You guys need to go, they'll ask too many questions. Lydia, help me get Stiles."
"I got Brunski," Derek informed Scott who nodded in approval. The beta and I shared a glance, and I was going to speak, but no words came out. Derek just gave a meek smile, taking off upstairs in the warehouse, probably where Brunski was detained. Everyone else went running out the back when I stepped forward to Stiles who was attempting to stand up on his own.
"Stiles, I don't think that's a good idea." I warned, but Stiles shook his head determined.
"I can do this." He panted, as his arms wriggled beneath him, struggling to support him. He leaned forward and got to his feet slowly. His whole body was shaking and he looked exhausted. He winced as he stood due to the pain he faced in bardow, plus not walking in the real world for a long time. He went to take a step forward, stumbling when Scott sprinted forward catching him.
"Okay, bad idea." He noted as all four of us giggled. Scott hoisted him back to his feet and Lydia looped herself underneath Stiles' arm. I ran ahead out the door to see huge lights flashing blue and red, almost blinding.
"Adriana!" Called out Deputy Parrish who came rushing towards me. "Are you alright."
"Yeah I'm fine," I said with a sigh. "I'm okay."
"Where's the suspect? Is he in there still?"
"I honestly don't know," I said remembering him. "I-I got knocked out and I don't remember much of what happened."
"Addie." I heard the authoritative voice snap. Parrish took that as his cue to step back away from the Sherriff and me.
"You and Scott could have gotten killed!" He snapped at a whisper. "Why the hell would you go after that crazy psychopath? Especially without telling me since it was my son that was involved again."
"We had no choice," I reasoned. "He threatened to kill Stiles if Scott didn't show up without police. I'm sorry Sheriff." He shook his head glaring until finally he broke, staring at the ground.
"I'd give anything…to wake up one of these days with my son home safe." He choked up. I felt the corners of my lips rise when I saw all the cops staring wide eyed behind me. I peeked over to Parrish who broke into a wide grin, walking over to the sheriff's side.
"Sheriff." He gasped. John looked at him confused as I felt myself smile as well. Parrish, still staring behind me motioned for the sheriff to look at what he's looking at. I backed away just as the Sheriff finally looked up. His jaw instantly dropped and his eyes watered instantly. I looked back to see the three of them, Scott and Lydia supporting Stiles as he was trying to stifle back his tears.
"Dad." Stiles whimpered. Now this even got me crying, for I had to bring a hand to my mouth at just how beautiful this was.
"S-Stiles." The Sheriff whispered. His feet began moving forward slowly, still in shock. Then one tear escaped him as he finally cried out. "STILES!"
He sprinted forward now, and I broke when Stiles forced himself out of Scott's and Lydia's grasp. He moved forward as if he was going to run to him, but his body was still recovering and he just stumbled instead. Stiles was panting now and just when he was about to lose his footing and fall forward…his Dad caught him.
They just knelt there on their knees, Stiles holding on tightly to his Dad while the Sheriff squeezed him tightly. Everyone was in tears now as Stiles sobbed, his Dad kissing his forehead crying as well.
"Dad." Stiles kept whimpering.
"I'm here Stiles," The Sheriff sobbed. "I'm here now Stiles, I promise. I promise."
Scott and Lydia made their way next to me, both crying with smiles on their faces. Lydia leaned her head onto my shoulder, both of us red eyes staring at each other happily.
"Thank you." Lydia whispered. Scott nodded at me with agreement, and the three of us leaned on each other, supporting each other. I looked back to the Stilinski family, happy that they were finally together again. After a good amount of time had passed, the Sheriff helped Stiles to his feet as his son leaned on him.
I didn't know that other officers went inside, because now, a few of them came out of the warehouse with Brunski between them in cuffs. As he passed Stiles and the Sheriff, Stiles' eyes widened and he cringed as his father glared at the man that took his son.
As he passed the three of us, Brunski practically glared as we returned the gesture. Deputy Parrish was the one that forced him in the back of the car. I looked back to Stiles and his Dad when Stiles closed his eyes leaning on his shoulder.
"Dad," Stiles slurred. "I'm tired."
"I gotcha kiddo." He promised as paramedics brought a stretcher, laying him down. As soon as Stiles laid down, is eyes shot open in fear.
"D-dad wait!"
"I'm right here Stiles," The Sheriff said sternly. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here when you wake up. I promise." Stiles nodded reluctantly as his eyes closed peacefully, but he held onto his dad's hand, and I knew he wasn't going to let go. Scott hurried forward, joining the sheriff as they climbed into the ambulance with Stiles. Lydia motioned for me to go with her to her car and follow them, but I paused for a moment, gripping onto the silver arrow that was around my neck. I looked up at the moon that was now full, and I closed my eyes, still picturing the hunter perfectly, standing side by side with Isaac. Happy.
"Thank you, Allison."
AAAAAAANNNNNNNDDDDDD I'M BACK! Still more to come! If you thought things were going to get easier for Adriana and the gang, you are dead wrong…for things are going to get harder for them…that I can guarantee. The direction this story is heading towards now will be filled with more action, badassness, romance, and yes…death. There will be death.
