The jail was dark when Graham brought them in, processed them and put them in separate cells right next to the other. Emma didn't see the harm in them sharing. They were married…but considering what position Graham found them in (a position that Emma was greatly enjoying), Emma could see why he might be reluctant.

"We don't even have bathrooms," Jefferson shouted to Graham as he filled out paperwork for the evening.

"Go to sleep!" Graham said from his office.

Emma sat with the blanket around her, "It'll be fine."

"It will not be fine, Mary Margaret is watching Alex."

"She was going to do it all night anyway."

"Yeah but what's going to happen if morning comes and neither one of us is there to get him?" Jefferson lay back down.

"Well I'm sure everyone will already know what happened by the time morning comes around, if Mary Margaret hasn't heard about it by that point."

"They're never going to look at us the same way."

"They're cursed," Emma whispered, "What will they care?"

"They care," Jefferson muttered and stared up at the ceiling, "Trust me, they care when it comes to me. They think I'm dangerous. And I'm sure they all think that you're insane for wanting your kid around me-."

"Jefferson, I know better."

"That doesn't mean I want you to hear it," he whispered., "Them running my name in the ground, making me look bad…it'll hurt you, it'll hurt Alex…it'll hurt any respectability I was slowly building up."

"I don't care about that."

"You will," he whispered. He gave a shudder and turned over, "I just don't want to go back to the asylum again."

"This won't make you go back."

"I can go back any day Regina wants it."

Emma felt her heart hammer in her chest as she still remembered that day when Graham dragged him away, "I won't let that happen."

"I don't want to lose you, Emma. I lose everyone in one way or another."

"I'm different," she promised.

He turned over and started to argue but the tale tell sound of a cane alerted them to the presence of Mr. Gold. He looked at both of them and sighed as if he was an exasperated parent, "Sheriff…what did they do? No don't…don't go into too many details, just…what did they do?"

"They were found in a very…intimate position in their car at the Italian Restaurant…," Graham started.

Rumpelstiltskin sighed and shook his head, "You two…."

"Who called you?" Emma asked.

"I'll pay their bail," Rumpelstiltskin muttered and leaned to the bars and hissed, "You two aren't supposed to be drawing attention to yourselves!"

"He wanted comfort," Emma shrugged.

"You would too if you saw Regina during date night."

"I don't have dates, you don't see me complaining," he muttered.

"I'm not done with their paperwork yet!" Graham told him.

"Finish it later, how much is it going to take to get them out?"

"This is most unusual," Graham protested.

"Like you run your sheriff's station up to regulations," Mr. Gold kept an icy glare on the two of them, "Get it processed, I'm bailing them out."

Jefferson stood up and went to the bars, "You're worried, what's wrong?"

"You two were supposed to keep a low profile, that's what's wrong," he snapped, "You two are in trouble. Regina's starting to poke around again."

Emma paled, "What?"

"It's might take a lot to get you out of this one," he looked behind him to make sure no one was listening that shouldn't be, "And if I get you tow out of her crosshairs without letting her know I remember too then you two are in my debt."
