Tony could not believe what he had just heard. He had been so angry at and hurt by Ziva and now she could be brain-dead. His Ziva the woman he loved more than anything else in the world. He had so many questions but his mouth refused to form words. All he wanted to do was tell her that he was sorry for violating her privacy and try to talk the situation out with her. He looked over at his Boss the man who had given him the bad news. Gibbs had sat down in the chair by the bed and gently placed his hand on Tony's arm.

"Is the baby okay?" Tony asked.

"As of right now it's hanging on." Gibbs explained.

"Then I have to keep her alive." Tony replied.

"Is that what she would have wanted or what you want?" Gibbs asked.

"She told me if anything happened to her when she was pregnant to keep the baby alive no matter what she had to go through." Tony explained.

"Alright do you want me to tell the doctor or should I?" Gibbs asked.

"What are the odds she isn't? She will be fine?" Tony asked.

"Not good." Gibbs replied.

"Ok" Tony mumbled.

"Hey I need to take care of some stuff. Are you going to be alright alone?" Gibbs asked.

"Yeah I'll be fine I guess." Tony replied.

"Do you want me to get Abby or someone to stay with you?" Gibbs asked.

"No I don't want to see anyone right now. Besides you anyway." Tony replied.

"Alright well I will get back to you as soon as I can." Gibbs assured.

"Thanks" Tony sighed.

"Hey you're gonna get through this. I did and Leon did and I won't let you not." Gibbs assured.

"I know I just don't wanna. She was so. I don't know. Can I be?" Tony rambled.

"Go on without her, perfect, alone." Gibbs finished.

"Yeah" Tony replied.

"Alright well call me or have someone get me if you need me I'll be dealing with the case." Gibbs replied.

"Thanks dad." Tony replied.

Gibbs left Tony's room feeling completely heartbroken. He hated that he had to tell his son that the woman he loved was going to die. Why did bad stuff always have to happen to Tony? He was a good person. He hated that Ziva was the way she was. She was alive but not alive. Only being kept alive by machines for a child that might not live anyway. Right now he just wanted to hold Tony and tell him it would be okay. He understood Tony wanting to be alone though. He had felt the same way after losing his girls. He looked up and saw McGee, Abby, Ducky, and Palmer walking towards him. Gibbs signaled for everyone to follow him into the empty room across from Tony's

"How is she Jethro?" Ducky asked.

"They're pretty sure she's brain-dead." Gibbs replied.

"No!" Abby cried.

"That's horrible." McGee gasped.

"Poor Tony." Jimmy whispered.

"What are they going to do?" Ducky asked.

"Tony wants to keep her alive until the baby is born. I just hope she can hold out that long. Her internal injuries were pretty severe." Gibbs explained.

"Oh poor Tony I can't imagine how terrible he must feel! Can we go see him! I just want to give him a big hug!" Abby cried,

"He doesn't want visitors right now Abbs. He has a lot to take in Also remember he has broken ribs so no hugging even when he does want visitors." Gibbs explained.

"Can we see Ziva?" McGee asked.

"Not tonight you know how hard it is to get in to trauma. I will get you guys in tomorrow." Gibbs replied.

"Um if DiNozzo Senior came after Tony I mean should I worry about Gabe?" Jimmy asked.

"Good point Palmer I'm calling Leon and having him send someone over for protection detail." Gibbs replied.

"Thanks Agent Gibbs." Jimmy said gratefully.

After Jimmy left Breena tried to go back to sleep. She couldn't though not after what happened. She knew it had to be really bad. The way Ducky looked when he came to get Jimmy. The fact that he practically drug Jimmy out of the house and sped out of the driveway. Ducky never acted like that unless it was really bad. Even when he was in a rush he took time to ask how her day was and say hello. She prayed that Tony and Gibbs would be okay. Most of her co-workers literally were her family and she didn't feel near as close to them as Jimmy was with his. She couldn't imagine how terrible it would be if anything happened to any of them. Eventually she gave up on sleep and walked in the living room to watch television. Suddenly something told her to keep Gabe with her. She moved as fast as she could to his room. She grabbed the baby sling Gibbs had given them and shoved Gabe into it. She didn't know why but she was scared to death.

"Oh Jimmy I wish you were here right now." Breena whispered to herself.

Gibbs stepped out of the hospital to call Leon. There were places inside the hospital where you could use your cellphone but he needed some air. Taking deep breaths he dialed Vance's number and waited for him to pick up.

"Jethro what do you need? Is everything okay with Agent Tony?" Vance asked.

"He's doing as well as to be expected." Gibbs replied.

"Well I have a safe house set up for you two in case Senior hasn't been caught by the time Tony is released." Vance explained.

"Thanks Leon but I need you to send protection detail over for the Palmer's." Gibbs replied.

"I didn't even think of that I will send someone right away." Vance replied.

"Alright I'm gonna head back to HQ with McGee and Abbs soon." Gibbs said.

"Alright talk to you later." Vance replied.

"Get some rest Leon." Gibbs replied.

Breena huddled up on the couch holding Gabe as close to her as she could. She hated feeling this afraid like this but she just had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. She jumped a mile when she heard her phone ringing.

"Hello?" Breena greeted shakily.

"Breena did I wake you?" Vance asked.

"No I was up." Breena replied.

"Okay great anyway Agent Gibbs wanted me to send protection detail over for you and Gabriel." Vance explained.

"Okay" Breena replied breathing a sigh of relief.

"It's just a precaution but none of us would forgive ourselves if anything happened." Vance assured.

"Yeah I understand." Breena replied.

Before Vance had a chance to respond he heard the sound of glass shattering on the other end. Followed by a blood curdling scream. "Breena?" "Breena?!" BREEENA?!" Vance screamed into the phone. Their was no response.

A/N: Cliffhanger! At least I will be able to update on Wednesday this week. I should be able to update on Schedule this week. Unless my other laptop craps out on me too. I am starting to feel like I am to laptops as Tony is to cars.
