Kalos, Reunion and Romance!
A/N - Happy 20th Anniversary of Pokémon, everyone! I would like to take this moment of how far has Pokémon has evolved from the release of Pokémon Green and Red in Japan and Pokémon Red and Blue, worldwide to the most recent entry of the current generation of Pokémon, X and Y. I remember of when I was a kid, the very first video game I ever owned was Pokémon Red and that' what got me into gaming, especially to Pokémon which is my favorite franchise to this very day on its 20th anniversary and I hope it stays like that in the years to come. I'm also quite exciting of the announcement of Pokémon Sun and Moon versions coming soon. Now that's out of the way, here's the latest chapter of this story that some of you may have been waiting for. Chapter 25 should be done sometime in the morning and I'll will post once I read through the chapter, enjoy!
Chapter Thirty Four: Mega Evolution Part 6!
The Power of Mega Evolution is something that mustn't fall to the wrong hands or else great disasters will ruin the peace between Pokémon and Humans. But I, Lysandre, will make a difference in the world by finding the true meaning of Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution, awaken!
Lumiose City (12:42 p.m.)
Alan and Mairin have arrived at Lysandre's Lab with Lysandre himself welcomed them into his research and development facility.
Chespie would of sworn something or someone was calling for it.
"Anything wrong Chespie!" Mairin asks.
"Chespin Ches!" Chespie nodded its head left and right.
"I have a test for you Alan!" Lysandre told him.
"What sort of test?" Alan asks Lysandre and he told him that he will be battling ten different mega evolved Pokémon in a row.
"I accept!" Alan quickly replied.
"Well then, follow me and I'll introduce you to someone!" Lysandre guides the two trainers to the stadium.
As Alan and Mairin followed Lysandre to the stadium where Alan is going to have his challenge.
Chespie once again hears someone calling for help.
"Chees!" Chespie look towards a hallway where the voice calling it, might be held down the hall. But Mairin calls to Chespie so that it wouldn't get separated from her.
"Oh I also have big news Alan, the megalith that Team Flare stole back at Coumarine City has been retrieved safety thanks to my special unit I sent to spy on them, their up to something and I won't rest till I've figured out what they're planning." Lysandre said as he shows the megalith to the two trainers. Both are stunned to see it up close again for the second time.
"Pretty impressive, huh?" Steven Stone said from behind the group.
"Yes, Steven Stone is here to see the megalith up close after I made a call to him that the megalith has been retrieved." Lysandre stated.
"A giant rock filled with huge amount of natural energy that made Kyogre and Groudon go under Primal Reversion and Rayquaza to mega evolve. This rock has been through so much during the ancient times of Hoenn." Steven said.
"You know, there were rumors that this megalith was once used as a weapon for the ultimate weapon that ended the three thousand year war a long time ago, here in Kalos. But there's no evidence that the weapon ever existed." Lysandre speculates. "Now we should probably head towards the stadium." Lysandre suggested.
As they're heading towards the stadium, Alan notices an old scroll in display, showcasing an image of what it looks like to be a Greninja with a giant shuriken on its back.
Alan snaps out and follows everyone as they have reached towards the stadium.
"Alan, this is Elite Four member, Malva. She'll be your final opponent, if you manage to defeat the nine other trainers first!" Lysandre stated.
"It's an honor to meet you!" Alan bowed.
"I'm looking forward to our match if you manage to win nine matches in a row!" Malva says.
Alan is ready to battle as he stands at one end of the stadium with the other trainer with a green rain coat calls out his Venusaur.
"Charizard, Go!" Alan calls out his Charizard into battle.
"Alan, I have supplied you with two Hyper Potions and some different variety of berries for any type of status conditions, use it wisely since your Charizard won't be taking long breaks between matches!
Lysandre informs Alan.
Battle One
"Charizard, Mega Evolve!" Alan activates his keystone and mega evolves his Charizard into Mega Charizard X.
"Mega evolve Venusaur!" the trainer mega evolved his Pokémon into Mega Venusaur.
"Flamethrower!" Alan calls out the first move.
Mega Venusaur takes the attack without taking too much damage.
"Use Vine Whip to slam Mega Charizard towards the ground and use Earthquake!" the trainer called out a two attack combo.
Mega Venusaur grabs Mega Charizard X and slams it down towards the ground used Earthquake, just as its trainer told it to do.
"DRAGON CLAW!" Alan shouts as Mega Charizard lands a critical hit.
"Sludge Bomb, Venusaur!"
"Counter with Flamethrower!" Alan quickly reacts and stopped the poison attack while Mega Charizard continuing using Flamethrower as Mega Venusaur faints and reverts back to its normal form.
"You think he will win this?" Malva asks.
"Who knows!" Lysandre replied.
The trainer called back his Venusaur and leaves.
Battle Two
The second trainer enters the arena and calls out his Scizor.
"Scizor, mega evolve!" The second trainer mega evolves his Scizor right away.
"Say hello to Mega Scizor, my strongest Pokémon!"
"Let's do this Charizard!"
"Raawr!" Charizard nodded.
"Use Flamethrower!" Alan begins the second match.
"Sword Dance and dodge the attack!"
Mega Scizor used Sword Dance which increases its attack power by two stages and dodges the Flamethrower attack.
"Sword Dance once more and use Night Slash!"
Mega Scizor uses Sword Dance again and uses Night Slash on Mega Charizard X, leaving a huge amount of damage to Mega Charizard X.
"Got you, Blast BURN!" Alan shouts and Mega Charizard used a devastating attack on Mega Scizor, instantly knocking out with one attack.
Scizor is unable to battle and the trainer recalls his Pokémon and leaves.
Charizard return towards Alan as he uses one Hyper Potion on it, for it to regain its strength and energy.
"Two down, eight more to go Charizard. We can do this Charizard!" Alan said as his Pokémon return to the arena with another trainer entering the arena with monk like clothing on.
"I'll be your next opponent now, Medicham go!" the trainer calls out his Pokémon.
"With the inner power from our bodies and this keystone, our hearts will now be connected as one. Mega evolve!" the third trainer mega evolves his Pokémon to Mega Medicham.
"So that what Mega Medicham looks like!" Mairin said with Chespie continuing to hear the same voice calling for it.
Battle Three
"Medicham, use Bulk Up to increase your attack and defense powers and use Rock Tomb!"
Mega Medicham raises its stats and starts hurling rocks towards Mega Charizard.
"Dodge it and use Dragon Claw to counter"!
Charizard quickly dodges the rock and slashes right through one as it's flying straight up where Mega Medicham is levitating at.
"Steel Wing!"
Mega Charizard lands the attack as Mega Medicham regain control from it falling and uses Thunder Punch.
"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Alan shouted.
Mega Charizard engulfed Mega Medicham in its flames.
"Now toss it towards the ground!"
Mega Charizard grabs Mega Medicham and starts to do a three sixty spin in the air and toss it right towards the ground.
Medicham is unable to battle.
"It was a pleasure to battle you!" The trainer bowed and leave with his Medicham.
Steven Stone is pretty impressed from watching the battles so far that it takes him back of challenging the Elite Four and the former champion back in Hoenn.
"Now Alan, the next few trainers won't be random Pokémon trainers but instead you'll be battling five different Gym Leaders of different regions. I introduce you to Sabrina of the Saffron Gym!" Lysandre spoke from the microphone.
"I'm looking forward to our battle!" Sabrina smiled as she calls out her Pokémon.
"Gengar!"
"Even though I'm a Psychic type gym leader of the Saffron Gym, I've decided to use Gengar, a Ghost and Poison type Pokémon against you!" Sabrina stated.
"Right, I'm looking forward to our battle too!" Alan responded.
"Gengar, mega evolve!" Sabrina activated her keystone as it's levitating right above her.
Gengar begins to mega evolve with spikes growing on its back, its legs begin to disappear with its arms and tail growing in size.
"GENGAAAAAR!" Gengar has mega evolved into Mega Gengar.
"Charizard, don't let your guard down. Ghost type Pokémon can be very tricky to deal with!" Alan warned Mega Charizard not to underestimated Mega Gengar.
Battle Four
"Charizard use Steel Wing!" Alan starts off his fourth battle.
"Counter it!" Sabrina uses her telekinesis to call out a command with Gengar.
Mega Gengar grabs both wings of Mega Charizard.
"Use Shadow Punch!" Sabrina told it through telekinesis.
"Get back and use Steel Wing again!" Alan commanded.
Mega Charizard flew backyards as its electricity is now charging up in left arm and collided with Mega Gengar's Shadow Punch attack.
"Thunder Punch? Did it learn a new move just now?" Alan questioned to himself as he goes with the flow.
"Back off and use Dark Pulse!" Sabrina quickly reacted in her mind.
"You too Charizard and use Flamethrower!"
Both Pokémon's attacks are intercepting again.
"This isn't going anywhere if Charizard's attacks are going to be getting blocked by Gengar's attacks. I have to come up with a plan, but what?" Alan thinks and quickly thought of something. "Quick Charizard, use a combination of Thunder Punch and Dragon Claw!"
Mega Charizard stopped using Flamethrower as Mega Gengar goes for another Shadow Punch attack.
"I knew she was going for Shadow Punch. Quick and use Dragon Claw now!" Alan reacted as his Mega Charizard finally landed a hit on Mega Gengar.
"Venoshock!" Sabrina told Mega Gengar.
"Fly right towards it and use Dragon Claw to pick up Gengar!" Alan shouted.
Mega Charizard swoops in towards Mega Gengar's Venoshock and constantly uses Dragon Claw to counter the attack as it finally picks up Mega Gengar and takes it with it up in the air.
"BLAST BURN!" Alan yells.
Mega Charizard sends Mega Gengar flying straight down and uses Blast Burn to finish it off.
"Gengar!" Sabrina shouted in concerned.
Gengar was unable to battle.
"Return Gengar, you did great today!" Sabrina told the Pokéball and she goes up to Alan and thanked him for an amazing battle.
"That's four down and six more to go, let's do this Charizard. Together we can achieve anything that is impossible to achieve!" Alan sounded really confident in himself and his Charizard.
The next leader is making their entrance.
"My name is Norman of the Petalburg Gym and I have to thank you for keeping an eye out for my son and daughter during the crisis here and at Hoenn!"
"So you're May and Max's father, correct?" Alan asks.
"Yes and I'm also the gym leader like I said before, now let's get straight to the battle!" Norman calls out his Pokémon.
"Kangaskhan can mega evolve too, battling new mega evolve Pokémon is something I always like battling against.
Normal activates his keystone and mega evolves his Pokémon to Mega Kangaskhan. The only different is the baby on the pouch grew up and is ready to battle.
Battle Five
"Charizard use Dragon Claw!"
"Fake Out!" Normal shouted.
Mega Kangaskhan used Fake Out on Mega Charizard, canceling its attack and putting double the damage.
"Now use Mega Punch!" Normal calls out for another attack after Fake Out.
Mega Charizard is sent flying backyards and its regains control of itself and flies towards Mega Kangaskhan with a Thunder Punch attack that Alan told it use as it was flying backyards.
"Earthquake!"
Mega Kangaskhan uses Earthquake on the Fire and Dragon type Pokémon.
"Change back into your normal form!" Alan cancels out Charizard's mega evolution form and quickly mega evolves after the Earthquake attack was over.
"Isn't that cheating?" Mairin asks.
"No, devolving your Pokémon from mega evolution is a legal tactic within the Pokémon League rules as it is stated in the new rule number one hundred-fifty one." Lysandre explained to Mairin of the new Official Pokémon League rules.
"I can be useful for some Pokémon that gain a new type to avoid from super effect attacks like Earthquake." Steven said.
"That's a neat tactic you did right there, but I have something in stored that won't fail next time!" Norman warned Alan of his plan.
"Me and my Charizard prepare for anything, Charizard use Flamethrower!"
Mega Kangaskhan takes a direct hit from the fire attack.
"Use Earthquake one more time!" Normal quickly calls out the attack.
"Change back again Charizard and use Dragon Claw!" Alan yells as he devolves his Charizard again as it attacks Mega Kangaskhan.
"THUNDER!" Normal calls out a powerful attack as Mega Kangaskhan strucks Charizard with Thunder which is super effective along with Mega Kangaskhan's ability Parental Bond.
"Charizad get up, we can't give up just yet. Let's show them the strength of our bond!" Alan encourages Charizard to get back up.
"RAAAAAAAAWWR!" Charizad stood back up and roars loudly as it mega evolves back to Mega Charizard X.
"Finish this with DRAGON CLAW!" Alan yells.
Mega Charizard's Dragon Claws are bigger than before strikes down Mega Kangaskhan with one hit from its Dragon Claws.
"Kangaskhan get up!" Normal said to his Pokémon, only to see the baby changed back to its original form. Normal smiles and recalls it back to its Pokéball. "Well I'm impress that you manage to take out my Kangaskhan. I must hand to you that your bond between you and your Charizard is what made you two win this match and hopefully defeating the last challenger." Norman shake hands with Alan and thanked him for the amazing battle as he leaves with the sixth challenger approaching.
"So you're the trainer I've been hearing a lot lately since the first battle you had, the name is Crasher Wake and I'm a water type gym leader of the Pastoria Gym in the Sinnoh region!" Wake introduces himself.
"The name is Alan and this is my partner Charizard!" Alan says as he's healing his Charizard with a Hyper Potion.
"I hope your Charizard is able to keep up with my Water type Pokémon!"
"My Charizard is capable to withstand against Water type Pokémon in its Mega Evolution form!" Alan replies.
"Good, now say hello to Blastoise!" Wake calls out his partner to battle. "Now Blastoise, mega evolve!" Wake evolves his partner to Mega Blastoise.
"I have to be careful of its Mega Launcher ability; I don't want Charizard to lose against like last time." Alan remembers his battle with the Elite Four member, Siebold.
"The battle may start!" Lysandre announces through a microphone.
Battle Six
"Charizard let's start off with a Thunder Punch attack!" Alan calls out the first move.
"Power-Up Punch!" Wake shouted.
Both Pokémon attacks collided as both are struggling to get the advantage over one another.
"Charizard, use Flamethrower on the ground!" Alan says, right when Mega Charizard used Flamethrower on the ground and caught Mega Blastoise off guard and punches it right on the face with Thunder Punch. "Good work, now use Dragon Claw!"
"Stop it with Rapid Spin!"
Mega Blastoise withdrew into its shell and spins towards Mega Charizard and is caught by Mega Charizard's Dragon Claw.
"Throw it upwards and Thunder Punch!" Alan reacted.
Mega Charizard throws Mega Blastoise's shell into the air and sends it flying again with Thunder Punch.
"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Wake yells.
Mega Blastoise deploys its twin arm cannons and aims directly to Mega Charizard and launches three streams of water.
"Fly right through it and use Flamethrower!"
Mega Charizard flies into Mega Blastoise's Hydro Pump and engulfs Mega Blastoise with its deadly Flamethrower attack.
"Use Rapid Spin to get up higher and then use Skull Bash!"
Mega Blastoise once again withdrew itself into its shell to gain more attitude than Mega Charizard and flies straight down towards Mega Charizard with Skull Bash.
"Hurry and use Dragon Claw to counter!" Alan shouts as his Charizard lands on the ground with Blastoise still using Skull Bash. "Throw it up to the air and use Blast Burn again!"
Mega Charizard roars loudly and it throws Mega Blastoise to the air and quickly pounds the ground with fire emerging from the cracks on the ground, damaging Mega Blastoise in the process.
As soon the field cleared up from Blast Burn. Mega Blastoise is still standing tall.
"Alright Blastoise, let's finish with… huh?" Wake is interrupted with his Blastoise looking strange out of all of the sudden. Mega Blastoise changed back into its original form and faints.
"Blast… toise!" It said as it is defeated.
"Well I'll be dam, you actually beat me with a Fire type Pokémon. I'm impressed!" Wake complimented Alan.
"Thank you and I couldn't have won this without trusting my Charizard!" Alan says.
Wake nodded "That's right, it's always the bond between a trainer and their Pokémon is what plays a major role when it comes to battling, well I hope you'll be able to win this challenge, so good luck!" Wake waves goodbye as his leaves the arena.
"That was match six, just four more to go Charizard!" Alan told it as it nodded back to him.
The next challenger is entering the arena as it seems he is wearing some cowboy clothing.
"Nice to meet ya, the name is Clay of the Driftveil Gym!" Clay introduces himself.
"My name is Alan, my Charizard may be a Fire and Dragon type when mega evolved, but type disadvantages don't really bother me at all. Our bond is what is going to get us through this challenge together.
"Ya have some guts young man!" Clay said as his grabs a Pokéball out of his pocket and calls out his Camerupt with a mega stone on the front volcano on its back.
Clay activates his keystone, located on the front of his cowboy hat.
"Camerupt, mega evolve!" Clay mega evolves his Camerupt into Mega Camerupt.
"Charizard, don't let your guard down so easily, I won't be telling you to change forms!" Alan told his Charizard as it nodded its head in agreement.
"Battle Seven may now commence!" Lysandre announces.
Battle Seven
"Charizard use Dragon Claw to lift Camerupt up till it falls on its back!" Alan commanded.
"Use Earth Power!" Clay shouted as his Camerupt uses Earth Power, but Charizard dodge the incoming attack and almost made Camerupt fall onto its back.
"Rock Tomb!"
Mega Camerupt uses Rock Tomb on Mega Charizard, but fails due to Alan telling his Charizard to use Thunder Punch to counter the attack and lands a critical hit with Dragon Claw.
"Use Eruption!" Clay yelled.
Fire bursts out of Mega Camerupt's single volcano from its back and hits Mega Charizard.
"Fly upwards and use Flamethrower as you ascend towards Mega Camerupt!" Alan told his Charizard as it swoops towards Camerupt and left some minimum damage to the Ground and Fire type Pokémon.
"Good, now use Dragon Claw!"
"Camerupt, use Earth Power!"
Both trainers called attacks at the same time, making both Pokémon attack each other with their own respective attacks at the same time.
Charizard is really too exhausted, that it may faint soon.
"Use Rock Tomb to finish this!" Clay shouted.
"Let's finish this by countering Rock Tomb with Dragon Claw!" Alan yells with Mega Charizard flying towards Mega Camerupt with Dragon Claws and slashing at any incoming Rock Tomb attack that is being hurled towards Mega Charizard and strikes the final blow to Mega Camerupt.
Mega Camerupt falls to its side and reverts back to its normal form.
Alan sigh in relief "We're almost there Charizard, just hand in there!" Charizard nodded. "I'll use a Hyper Potion on you after our next match."
"Excellent work Alan, you're just two battles away to challenge Malva, don't let your guard down just yet!" Lysandre spoke to Alan through the microphone.
The next challenger is a woman who is wearing a teal dress with an orange bow and white jacket with brown hair and a Magnemite on her left shoulder.
"My name is Jasmine of the Olivine Gym, I'm also known as the Steel-Clad Defense Girl back in Johto due to my strong Steel type Pokémon. I've heard I was going up against a Mega Charizard, so I brought someone with me to battle alongside with me, go Sparkle!" Jasmine calls out Sparkle, the Ampharos. The very same Ampharos, who lit up the Glitter Lighthouse in Olivine City.
Jasmine activates her keystone that is attached to her orange bow and mega evolves Sparkle into Mega Ampharos which is now Electric and Dragon type, with the ability Mold Breaker.
"Shall we get this battle started?" Jasmine asks.
"I was just about to say, Charizard let's do our best!" Alan said.
Battle Eight
"Battle, begin!" Lysandre says.
"Charizard use Dragon Claw!"
"Sparkle, use Thunder Punch!"
Both Mega Pokémon are charging at each other as Mega Charizard lands the first attack on Sparkle.
"Fly up and use Flamethrower!" Alan yelled.
Mega Charizard takes flight and breaths fire from its mouth directly to Sparkle.
"Counter it with Dragon Pulse!" Jasmine quickly reacted.
Both attacks fail to hurt one another as Mega Charizard flies back to the ground, near Alan.
"Use Power Gem, Sparkle!"
White glowing shards appear around Sparkle and it launches to Mega Charizard, leaving huge amount of damage on Mega Charizard from the super effective move.
"Charizard, get up and use Thunder Punch!"
"You too use Thunder Punch, Sparkle!"
Both Pokémon hit each other with Thunder Punch, Sparkle quickly recovered from the attack first and uses Dragon Pulse, right up close on Mega Charizard and it flying backwards.
Mega Charizard looks like it's about to fall, but it's determine to keep fighting until the last battle is won.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Alan shouts.
"Sparkle, use Dragon Pulse!" Jasmine yelled.
Mega Charizard blocks Sparkle's Dragon Pulse attack with its Dragon Claws, but it's sustaining minor damage from the incoming Dragon Pulse attack. Just as Mega Charizard pushed itself towards Sparkle, it strikes it down with Dragon Claws and uses Blast Burn to finish the battle off with a bang.
"Ampharos is unable to battle; the winner is Alan and his Charizard!" Lysandre announces the results of the eighth battle.
Jasmine got on her knees as she is patting Sparkle on its head. "You did great out there Sparkle!" Jasmine said as Alan comes up to her and says "That was a great battle, looks like me and my Charizard over did it a bit, here's a Sitrus Berry for your Ampharos!" Alan gives the berry to Jasmine and she feeds it the berry.
"Thanks and that was a great battle!" Jasmine recalls her Sparkle back into its Pokéball after it finished eating the Sitrus Berry. She leaves the arena with the door closing behind her, after a few moments of her leaving, a loud groaning was heard.
"What was that?" Alan wondered as he used his last Hyper Potion on his Charizard.
The door opened again with a Croagunk dragging its trainer to the arena.
Both Alan and Charizard are a bit surprised to see Brock showing up, while being dragged by his Pokémon.
Brock quickly recovered from being hit by Poison Jab from his Croagunk.
"You're a gym leader, Brock?" Alan asks.
"Well I used to be a gym leader till my dad took over for me when I left to travel with Ash. Lysandre asked me if I wanted to challenge you since he couldn't find a sixth gym leader for you to battle against!" Brock explained.
"I see, well just because you healed my Charizard back at the camp site from before, and don't think I'll go easy on you!" Alan said.
"I know, okay Steelix, come on out!" Brock calls out his Steelix to battle.
"Say hello to Mega Steelix!"
"Keystone, respond to my heart! Beyond evolution, Charizard, mega evolve!" Alan raised his arm upwards and mega evolved his Charizard into Mega Charizard X again.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAWWWR!" Charizard is showing off its battle cry as it won't be defeated easily by Steelix.
"The match may now begin!" Lysandre started the match between the two trainers.
Battle Nine
"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Alan hollered as his Charizard takes flight.
"Use Sandstorm!" Brock commanded as his Mega Steelix used Sandstorm to make it harder for Mega Charizard to see.
"Dragon Breath, let's go!" Brock shouted a commanded.
Mega Charizard is hit by Mega Steelix's Dragon Breath and becomes paralyzed.
"Now use Stone Edge!" Brock commanded another attack on Mega Charizard.
"Counter it with Dragon Claw and use Flamethrower afterwards!" Alan quickly reacted as his Mega Charizard successfully blocked off all of stones that were being hurled right towards it.
Mega Charizard leaves a burn status on Mega Steelix for a little payback for it getting Mega Charizard paralyzed.
"Stone Edge again and use Iron Tail on Stone Edge to increase the velocity!" Brock hollered, hoping for the plan to work.
"Dodge it, and use Thunder Punch on Stone Edge if you need to!" Alan is being on a defensive since Steelix's rock and steel type attacks are buffed thanks to the sandstorm and its ability when mega evolved.
Mega Charizard is struck by one of the stones and fall to its back, it quickly recovered and back up.
"I need to do something with that Sandstorm, but what?" Alan is thinking of a plan of how to counter Sandstorm. That when it hit him. "I got it, Charizard use Dragon Claw to dig a hole on the ground right in front of you!"
Mega Charizard dug up a hole with Dragon Claw. "Now use Flamethrower right down the hole!"
Mega Charizard uses Flamethrower on the ground to create some fire twisted.
"I don't know what he's thinking, but I can't let him get to use. Steelix use Stone Edge at Charizad!" Brock shouted.
"Here it comes, now stop using Flamethrower and let the twister to its job!" Alan ordered.
The stones begin to circle around the flaming twister and were sent back to Mega Steelix, leaving very little damage.
"NOW CHARIZARD! Get up right in front Steelix while it's still flinch and use Blast Burn!"
The sandstorm subsided with Steelix is fainted on the ground with Mega Charizard is roaring for victory.
"Well done Charizard, just more challenge." Alan used a Full Heal on his Charizard.
Brock recalls his Steelix and thanked it for the amazing battle. "You're Charizard sure is strong since it withstood the power of Stone Edge from my Steelix."
"Thanks, you're Steelix is not bad when it comes to battling as well. You nearly had us pinned down with the sandstorm, I see why you were a gym leader, but why did you decided to travel and left the gym with your father?" Alan asks.
"Well when my parents both left Pewter City, I felt I have to be responsible to take care of the gym and of course more importantly my siblings. I always wanted to take care of Pokémon from when I was little and I thought to myself that I wanted to become a Pokémon Breeder. When my father came home, I've decided to travel with Ash throughout the Kanto, all the way to Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, till the near end of our journey in Sinnoh that I wanted to be a Pokémon Doctor and I stop traveling with Ash for a whole year since I mostly stayed at Kanto and traveled around Johto to learn from different Pokémon Centers!" Brock responded.
"I see. Everyone does have different dreams that they want to accomplish. My dream is to become the strongest Mega Evolution trainer that I can be with only my Charizard by my side!" Alan stated as he patted his Charizard on its head.
"Well it was nice talking to you Alan; I hope you win your last match! And I'll be at Sycamore's Lab most of the time since I'm studying with him on mega evolution!" Brock said as he takes his leave.
As Malva is leaving the spectating room, Chespie is starting to hear the same voice calling for help. Chespie sneaks out of the room just as Malva left without Mairin noticing it snuck away from her.
"Chespin!" Chespie walked down the hallway and hears the voice from the other side of the door that it is standing in front of. Chespie notices a vent and used Vine Whip to climb itself to the vent and crawled its way to the room where the noise is coming from.
Scientist are doing some test on a weird looking green blob like Pokémon and it seems they are trying to merge the other green blobs with the red core blob.
The red core blob is under extreme pain and sees Chespie in the vent; it calls to Chespie for help.
"The merging process of Zygarde failed yet again, increase the output one more time!" One of the scientist told the assistant.
"Copy!"
As the scientists are beginning to force the blob to merge with each other, it fails again with the glass around the tree that contains the blobs break.
Chespie quickly grabs the red core blob and runs away from the scientists.
"Hey, where did that Chespin came from? Oh never mind that, stop it from letting Zygarde escape!"
Chespie used Vine Whip to lift the red core blob out and tells it to leave.
"Wolololol!" The red core blob whimpered.
Chespie then collapses from being expose to some kind of radiation that is making is body glow green.
"Zygarde got away, get Nurse Joy to get this Chespin checked, it doesn't look to good!"
"Congratulations of making it this far, but can you manage to defeat me and my Houndoom?" Malva said as she called out her Houndoom to battle.
"Of course we'll manage to defeat you and your Mega Houndoom, our bond will go beyond its limit to win this, Charizard get ready! Keystone, respond to my heart, beyond evolution, mega evolve!" Alan raised his arm up and mega evolves his Charizard one more time.
Malva grabs her Mega Pendant and activates the keystone. "Mega evolve!" Malva mega evolves her Houndoom to Mega Houndoom.
"Battle, begin!"
Battle Ten
"Charizard use Dragon Claw!" Alan hollered as his clench his fist.
"Block it with Crunch!" Malva commanded. "Now flick it away!"
Mega Houndoom throws Mega Charizard towards the air.
"Thunder Punch!" Alan quickly yelled as Mega Charizard punches Mega Houndoom towards the ground.
"Houndoom, use Dark Pulse!"
Mega Charizard is hit and falls on its back with Mega Houndoom growling.
Mairin notices that Chespie is missing and goes looking for it, Steven sees her leaving and follows her.
"You know there's a lot of strong Pokémon that you could have chosen from instead of Charizard!" Malva suggested to Alan.
"I didn't choose Charizard when it was just a Charmander, I only chose it because I knew we could form a strong bond together and become stronger on our own. This Charizard means a lot to me and no way I'll ever give up on it for any Pokémon in the world! Now Charizard, use Flamethrower!" Alan shouted.
"Use Flamethrower too!" Malva yelled.
Both Flamethrower made contacted each other and caused a small explosion.
"Dark Pulse!" Malva quickly calls out another move.
"Charge right at it with Dragon Claw!" Alan hollered.
Mega Charizard cuts right through Mega Houndoom's Dark Pulse.
"Use Crunch to block it!" Malva ordered as Mega Houndoom bites on Mega Charizard's Dragon Claws.
Mairin is still searching around for Chespie till she sees some scientist taking it to the Pokémon Center within Lysandre Labs. "Chespie!" Mairin calls it out in worriedness. "What have you done to Chespie?" Mairin picked up Chespie.
"Please put it back, we have this under control!" The scientist tries to console with Mairin till Steven arrives to see what's going on.
As the battle continues between Mega Charizard and Mega Houndoom, Mega Charizard hits the ground on its back after getting hit by Dark Pulse.
"Charizard!" Alan shouted.
"Oh my, you seem to be tired. Let me put an end to this battle, Crunch!" Malva ordered.
"Charizard, GO!" Alan yelled as his Charizard got back up.
"RRRRAAAAAWWRRRR!" The flames around its jaw and tail are getting huge as it's ready to finish the match.
"BLAST BURN!"
Mega Charizard pounds the ground with all of its might and the ground begins to crumble.
"Charge right at it!" Malva shouted.
Mega Houndoom seems to be doing okay of dodging the attack, but it is overwhelmed by the sheer force of Blast Burn and is caught within the attack.
Mega Houndoom lies on the ground and reverts back to its normal form.
"Clear!"
"Well done, Charizard!" Alan complimented his Charizard as it changes back to its normal form and hugged it a bit while smiling.
"Thank you for the hard work, Houndoom!" Malva recalls her Pokémon back to its Pokéball.
"You're truly are a strong trainer, congrats on the ten wins!" Malva congratulated Alan.
Lysandre claps for the victory "Malva is quite strong and yet you and you're Charizard happen to defeat her and nine other trainers in a row. I'm truly impressed; I can't wait to tell Augustine about this!" Lysandre said as an agent came up from behind and whispered something to Lsyandre. "She's what?"
Alan heard a little and is in shock to what happened to Mairin's Chespie.
Chespie is being carefully treated in the infirmary where Brock is helping Nurse Joy.
Professor Sycamore arrives and is shock of hearing the news that has happened to Chespie.
Nurse Joy exits the room with Mairin wanting to know what's going on.
"Its life is not in danger, but I don't know the cause of its comatose state." Nurse Joy responsed.
Mairin is hurt in the inside of hearing this and begins to cry.
"We'll be keeping Chespie here at Lysandre Labs to make sure it fully recovers!" Lysandre insisted.
"Thank you Lysandre, this means a lot, especially to Mairin!" Sycamore said.
"Ches… Chespie will be okay, right? It will… It will wake up for sure, won't it?"
"Yes, I'll make sure of it will wake up!" Lysandre tries to console her, but continues crying.
Alan is quite angry of what happened to Chespie and feels sad for Mairin, he leaves the facility with Lysandre catching up to him.
"Alan, to wake up Chespie, we're going to need to establish the Mega Evolution energy system as soon as possible!" Lysandre told Alan.
"I'll do it, for the sake of Chespie and Mairin's happiness." Alan volunteered to help Lysandre and leaves towards Route Fourteen.
"I can't believe you!" Malva said to Lysandre.
"What did I do?" Lysandre responded.
"Lying to a pure boy like him, you're a bad man!" Malva says.
"I haven't told a single lie to him!" Lysandre smiled.
"Oh well!" Malva leaves.
Alan meets a trainer who happens to be the Champion of the Kalos region, Diantha. They already about to battle the moment they saw each other keystones.
"Charizard, mega evolve!"
Charizard mega evolves into Mega Charizard X and is facing Mega Gardevoir.
"Wait for me Mairin, I'll save Chespie, no matter what! So please show me that smile once more!" "Charizard, Flamethrower!"
"Shadow Ball!" Diantha shouted.
"This is the story of humans and Pokémon revolving around Mega Evolution. Those who fight, those who wait, those who research, and finally, those who will change the world. In the near future, the bond between humanity and Pokémon will be put to the test.
The red core blob is outside, looking at the sun with its silhouette looking different from the blob itself.
