As always as fast as the holidays come, they leave. After spending time in Lima with the Lopez family, who treated Sebastian like a little king, and then coming back home to New York where both Brittany's mom, and my parents and abuela came to visit for a week, we needed a break from the holidays. We entertained almost every night, having over different friends, and family that was in town. some of the Pierce family came up from Pennsylvania as well. It was a great holiday, and we love when our families visit, but we were also glad to get back to a some sense of routine for Sebastian when everyone left. He's so cute with his grandparents, it's like he didn't which one to cuddle with at any given moment. We made sure he spent some alone time with both our mothers, and he spent a lot of time with my dad, I would notice how Brittany stared at the them, a sad smile on her face, I know that she wants her father to interact with Sebastian and it kills her that he won't. She still hasn't told me what he said on the phone to her that had her so upset, and I'm not going to pressure her. I did call Mercedes to get a little insight on just how bad Brittany relationship is with her dad, and she told me what she knew and what she witnessed when they were growing up. I held her that night when she woke up crying in her sleep and clutched to me; we didn't say any words, but I knew exactly where the tears stemmed from. The rest of January was quiet, Brittany went back to work, and busied herself with school activities while I took to doing more cooking and baking. Aliana found a new job in a hospital, and while I'm sad that she's leaving Aunty Snix, I'm proud of her for finding her courage and determination again and going back to work. She broke up with her boyfriend, she hasn't given us a clear reason as to why, but she did assure me it had nothing to do with the lawsuit, and that she broke up with him and not the other way around. So with Ali gone, Quinn with a newborn, Brittany at work, that leaves me as one person to do the cooking...so I talked to Brittany about maybe hiring some people to help me with daytime catering only if I need it; she agreed if would be a good idea for catering, and for the food truck this summer, for now I'm only doing relatively small daytime luncheons, ones where I can do all the cooking at home, and have Mathias help me drop it off and set it up easily.
"You're quiet tonight." Brittany states, placing soft kisses on my shoulder, her hands massaging my thighs under the water.
We've been in the bathtub for the past thirty minutes or so, I'm between her legs, leaning back on her chest, enjoying the relaxing feeling of her hands roaming my body. The tub is full of bubbles, there are candles all around, and the only sounds are from the water softly splashing when one of us moves mixed in with Brittany's soft breaths in my ear.
"Everything okay?" She asks.
I nod and glance up at her, kissing the corner of her mouth. "Yeah, I'm just going to miss you tomorrow."
"I'm going to miss you too." She sighs. "Sure you don't want to come? I can call the hotel and have them upgrade to a suite, and have a crib for Bash."
I shake my head. "No, you're going for work, as much as I want to be around you all the time...I can't. We haven't been apart in over a year, not even for one night."
Brittany hugs me tightly and rests her chin on my shoulder. "Will you be okay?"
"Yes." I reply. "I'll miss you, and I know Bash will miss you too, but we'll be okay." I smile.
"Good." Brittany winks. "Ready to get out?" She asks.
Brittany is leaving tomorrow morning for two days, heading to Indiana for a teacher convention. It'll not only be the first time I'm left with Bash overnight by myself, but as I told her the first time in over a year, that we won't go to sleep together. Her other teacher convention I usually tag along, one of the perks of being self employed, but with Bash, it's a little harder to be as spontaneous.
Brittany helps me stand up and wraps a towel around me, she then grabs her robe and slips it on, before she drains the tub and turns on the hanging shower head attachment we have for the claw tub and rinses the suds away. I grab some mouth wash and rinse my mouth out while she does that, staring at the baby monitor we brought in the bathroom with us. Bash is fast asleep, his pacifier in his mouth, and Brownie right next to his crib. Brittany blows all the candles out and grabs my hand, leading me to the bedroom. She checks the fire in the fireplace and puts the gate in front of us. I finish drying off and sit on the bed while I put lotion on and Brittany dries off herself.
Once I'm lying in bed, warm under the covers, Brittany, who hung the towels up and checked the bathtub again slid in bed next to me and kissed me. "I have a shuttle to the airport in the morning, so you don't have to get out with Sebastian, and he'll just think I'm going to work."
"Good idea." I reply, sliding closer to her. "You know we have Brayden Saturday night." I remind her, allowing my hands to roam her back.
"So excited." She nods. "He's so cute and little." She laughs.
"It'll be interesting to see how Bash reacts to him being here." I tell her, gasping slightly when she licks her fingers and starts to tease my nipple.
"Very, but since we are expanding our family soon, it'll be good practice." She winks.
"Yes it will be." I laugh, I lock eyes with her and move forward to kiss her.
As always, our kiss starts out slow but turns very passionate, with soft moans, our legs a tangled mess, and Brittany's hands running through my hair. I have my hand resting on her butt, squeezing and rubbing there, until she pulls me on top of her. I settle between her legs and just hover over her, staring in her eyes. Her hands trail to my butt, where she cups and starts to massage.
"I love that you do squats." She teases.
"You love my ass, don't you?" I laugh when she starts to squeeze it harder and massage it deeper.
"Yes." She nods and kisses me.
"I love you." I said with a big smile. "Cheesy but true." I add when she laughs.
"Cheesy but true...I love you more." She replies.
We stay in our passionate kiss, her hands all over my back and butt for several minutes before I start to grind into her slowly. We make love for hours before finally falling asleep around three in the morning, only because I wanted to make sure Brittany didn't miss her flight from oversleeping.
"This may sound selfish, but I'm glad it's a blizzard and your convention got cancelled." I tell Brittany, carrying a sandwich over to her in the living room.
"I am too." Brittany admits. "Thank you, baby."
Sebastian is fast asleep on her chest, holding her tightly. I tried to move him earlier but he started to whine, so we just left him straddling Brittany, while she reclines at the end of the sectional. "He's not used to you being home during the day and doesn't want to let you go." I laugh, sitting down next to her with my own sandwich and a glass of ice tea.
"Well, I don't want to mess up your day time routine." She frowns.
"It's fine, this is his naptime anyways." I tell her. "If I'm not baking, I sneak and cuddle with him and take my own nap." I laugh.
"Is your iPad close?" She asks, licking the spicy mayo from her top lip. Sebastian stirs and whines slightly waking up. "Shhhhhh." She coos to him and rubs his back, shifting him a little so he's lying on a stack of pillows on the couch, his head on her lap now.
"Yeah, why?" I ask her, my eyes focused on the TV still.
"I thought maybe we could go over details for Sebastian's birthday party." She suggests.
"Yea." I nod quickly and turn off the TV. I set my plate down and reach for my iPad, immediately pulling up the notes I made for his party.
"So you're doing the chocolate cake?" Brittany asks taking another bite of her sandwich.
I nod, and glance at my notes. "Yep, a huge number one, chocolate cake and a special chocolate frosting. We decided on blue, green, and orange decorations for the cake." I rattle off, glancing up at her, she nods excitedly and pops the last piece of her sandwich in her mouth. She then lifts Sebastian back in her lap and kisses the top of his head. She grabs the blanket from next to her and covers them up.
"Ok, we are doing chicken tenders, bite size for the other babies to pick up and eat, wings for the adults, fruit bar, veggie tray, and you know me I'll probably think of a ton of other appetizers between now and next Saturday." I smile.
"I'm so excited." Brittany smiles. "Can you believe how fast this year went by?"
"He's such a big boy now." I smile while staring at Bash. "He's walking, talking, running, jumping, climbing." I add. "He's so perfect."
"Yeah he is." Brittany adds running her fingers through his curls.
"And this one will be too." I tell her, placing my hand on her stomach. "I can't wait."
"What if you carried again?" She asks.
I frown and move my hand off of her stomach. "Why would I carry?"
Brittany shrugs and looks down.
"Brittany..." I shake my head and stand. "Let me take Bash to his crib." I pick him up and cuddle him, rubbing his back so he stays asleep and carefully lie him down. I then go back to the living room, Brittany is cleaning up after our lunch, so I sit down on the couch and wait for her.
She walks back to the living room with a mug of tea and sits back down, angling her body towards me.
"Talk to me." I command softly. "Why wouldn't you carry, Brit? Wait...you had a doctor's appointment last week, is something wrong?" I ask her quickly. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Brittany assures me. "I'm fine, Sanny." She repeats and kisses my hands. "It's just, what if I'm not a good baby oven like you were with Bash?"
I stare at Brittany and shake my head. "I'm not believing that., we both know you are an amazing mother, you're super healthy, and in great shape." I grab her hands and set them in my lap. "Please tell me what's wrong, or what you're thinking."
Brittany locks eyes with me, and I see her eyes start to turn a soft shade pink, she's going to cry. "I just, i just think that maybe if we were a more traditional family, like my parents were that my dad would accept us more."
I freeze and blink slowly, feeling my heart drop. Everything will always come back to Brittany wanting acceptance and love from her father; I know it's hard for her, so so hard. I slide forward, so I'm closer to her and rub her hands between mine, encouraging her to continue talking.
"I just think that maybe if you carried all the babies, my dad would see that we are just like any other family, and he'll come around more." She adds sadly.
"Brit, baby, do you want to expand our family for your dad or for us?" I ask her carefully.
"For us." She tells me quickly.
"I know you love your dad, and I know you want your dad want in your life, and for him to accept you but I know you want to carry a baby." I pull her into my lap and wait for her to wrap her arms around my neck. I hold her tightly around the waist and place my hand back on her stomach. I feel her lean her head on my mine, so I just hold her in silence for a few moments.
"You know I support you one hundred percent in everything you day, and how you feel." I start. "As much as I want more than anything for you to have your dad back, for you to feel love that you are missing, desperately missing, I know you want to carry a baby. But if you want me to carry again then I will."
"I don't know why I'm letting my dad get to me like this."
"You're human." I reply, rubbing small, slow circles on her stomach. Brittany shifts in my lap, so she can rest her head in the crook of my neck. I feel her exhale against my collar bone and clutch tighter to me. "I don't mind carrying again, I honestly don't. But I would love to see your pregnant, to watch our baby grow inside of you like you did with Bash, I want to wait on you hand and foot, wake up at midnight and drive to Jersey to get pineapple rings for you, massage your feet while we pick out baby names." I lean back and lift her head to look at me, and once we lock eyes I continue talking. "I want to help you shower because you're too big to do it alone, make all the weird dishes from the random cravings you have, I want to hear the heartbeat for the first time with you, and watch your face freak out when you feel the baby kick inside of you for the first time. I want you to experience all the amazing firsts that I did, I want you to experience then because I know you want to experience them."
"I do." She sniffles. "I won't freak out over cereal like you." She says though a smile.
"I know you won't." I wink at her. "That's all Bash and me." I smile as I start to wipe her tears away. "I know things are rough with your dad, but you can't change your life for him, you have to stay true to yourself, don't sacrifice something you've dreamed of, something we both have dreamed of together, to try to get someone back in your life."
"I'm sorry." She tells me, resting her forehead on mine.
I peck her lips and smile. "Don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong."
"So when are we putting the baby in my oven?" She asks as she moves to straddle me, resting her forehead back on mine.
I hold her hips tightly and stare in her eyes, that are clearing up slowly, and shining that bright blue that I love. "Whenever you are ready, I know we originally planned for this summer to start."
"Let's start sooner." She states.
"Yeah?" I ask with a big smile.
She nods. "We want the kids close in age, right?"
"Yeah, that would make Bash almost two when the baby is born, if the new Baby Pierce stays on schedule." I quickly calculate. "How soon do you want to start?"
"Let's see when Dr. Pillsbury can get us in." She smiles.
"Seriously?!" I ask her with a big smile. I know Sebastian is a handful but I wouldn't trade him for the world, I'm so ready to expand our family even if it means we hire some outside help for Aunty Snixx, which we need to do anyways.
"Seriously." Brittany blushes. "I love you so much, Sanny, I can't wait to carry your eggs."
"I hope we have a little girl that looks just like you." I tell her.
"Could you imagine how protective of her Bash would be." Brittany laughs.
I lift her shirt and kiss her stomach. "Bash?" I laugh. "Snixx will be out in full force to protect you and our future baby."
"I know."
I hug tightly and flip us over so I'm lying on her. I kiss all around her face and kiss her stomach again, before resting my head there. "I can't wait until your pregnant." I whisper to her. Brittany rests her hands on my back and rubs there.
"Me either." She replies.
"You're okay, here's your bottle." I tell Brayden as I ease his bottle in his mouth, to quiet his screams, smiling at him when he quickly starts to eat.
"Mami." Sebastian says as he sits to the right of me on the couch, his own bottle in his hand. "Beee Beee." He points at Brayden and lifts his orange slice to his mouth, sucking loudly on it, smacking his lips in the process.
"Yes, that's Brayden." I nod to him. "Finish your bottle." I add tapping his hand, he gets the hint when I nod and he starts to drink again, staring at Brayden in the process. Quinn and Lio are at a business dinner for his job, so we get the pleasure of watching almost two month old Brayden for a few hours. It's been thirty minutes and Quinn has called me three times, and FaceTimed me once, so she could see his face. Considering all Brayden does is sleep and cry I assured her gently he was in good hands. I'm definitely not judging her because it's still hard when I leave Sebastian.
"Mami."
"Yes, baby." I reply.
Sebastian drops his bottle and holds the orange slice to Brayden's mouth. "Orsh." Brayden's big brown eyes stare at it immediately and he stops sucking for a moment.
I smile and shake my head. "That's for you, Bash; Brayden has a bottle. Where's your ba ba?" I ask him, glancing down at his bottle.
He grabs it and starts to eat again. "Baa nee." He asks suddenly as I adjust Brayden when he starts to fuss and rock him like Quinn stated. Apparently Brayden likes to move when he eats sometimes, so he'll cry while he eats, which is so cute. I rub his little chest and kiss his forehead, and glance at Sebastian, who isn't exactly glaring at me, but he isn't smiling either. He's watching me intently, making sure he sees every little interaction between the two of us.
"Brownie is with mama taking a bath." I tell him. "You're next." I add poking his stomach, since he is now standing and bouncing his bottle on my shoulder, peeking at Brayden again. Sebastian hasn't left my side since Brayden got here, he's been staring at him excitedly, so Brittany used this time to give Brownie and Chef baths in one of the guest bathrooms, must need baths I have to add.
"Okay, we are all clean." Brittany smiles, holding Brownie and Chef by their collars and walking them over to the wall, hooking them on their leashes so they can dry off some more. Sebastian jumps backs up, and points to Brownie with a smile with his orange. Brittany took a bite of his orange and winked at him before getting two treats out of the kitchen and setting them in front of Chef and Brownie.
"Bath time, Sebastian." I tell him.
"No." He shakes his head just as Brittany grabs the orange slice out of his hand, making him growl at her.
"No no, we don't growl at momma or mami." She says gently and picks him up, setting his bottle on the table. "No growling."
Since Sebastian will be one year old next weekend we think it's time for him to stop growling at us and other people, which has become a bad habit. I take Sebastian to baby yoga three mornings a week, so he can interact with some other babies and work on some motor skills. He was playing with some of the other babies and growled at a little boy when he took a ball from him. I, personally, thought it was a justified growling, but the parent complained. Sebastian now always growls at the same little boy whenever they are in the same class, so we were asked to attend a different session. After pleading Sebastian's case to Brittany, who took his side, obviously, and even contacted the other mother suggesting that maybe she work on sharing with her son, we decided that we need to break Sebastian of his growling, especially since Brownie has growled at us on more than one occasion lately.
"Orsh!" Sebastian shakes his head while reaching towards the shriveled and sticky fruit on the table from Brittany's arms.
"It'll be here after your bath. Mami will give you a new orange wedge." I tell him as his face scrunches up. Brittany quickly starts to kiss all over his face, which makes him blush instantly. I laugh as he hides his face in Brittany's neck. "I think a diaper change is needed for this guy." I say as I scrunch up my nose and rub his chest. "Give me kisses before your bath." I tell Sebastian and tap my cheek. Brittany leans him down and allows him to drool all over my check. "Thank you."
"We'll see you soon." Brittany winks at me, starting to unhook his overalls and singing their special bath song. I carry Brayden, who is staring at me to the nursery and quickly change him, talking to him quietly.
He reminds me so much of Sebastian as a baby, like they damn near look identical, aside from his moods, which I can tell he inherited from Quinn. I change his onesie and slip some warm fleece pajamas on him and carry him back to the living room, setting him in Sebastian's bassinet. I make sure he's asleep and go unhook Chef and Brownie, Chef starts to do laps around the living room, happy to be free, while Brownie runs over to Brayden.
"Nope, go play." I tell her with a smile when she cranes her neck to peep in at him. Brownie stares at me and lies down with a toy after a few minutes. I check the bbq pulled chicken in the slow cooker and nod when I see it's just about done. I then quickly make an apple cole slaw to add on top of our sandwiches, and cut up some eggplant to make fries for us. I know Sebastian will want a little snack before he falls asleep for the night, so I warm up some applesauce for him.
"Hey baby boy." Quinn coos while running in the door and picking up Brayden, quickly kissing all his sleeping face.
"Hey big man." Lio smiles, kissing his son as well.
"How was dinner?" I whisper since Brittany is asleep on the couch with Sebastian, lying on her chest. After his bath, and his snack they paid an intense game of tag in the living room, one that Brittany lost, before cuddling on the couch and
"Good." Lio nods and hugs me. "Thanks for watching our little guy."
"No problem at all, he's always welcome here, you know that." I smile and watch Quinn fuss over him as she puts his snowsuit on him. "Are you guys leaving right away?"
"Yeah, aside from Brittany being asleep, and Bash now glaring at us." Quinn laughs. "It's snowing so we want to get him home, I'll need to feed him again or pump soon, I feel really full."
I look over and see Sebastian is indeed awake and staring at us, a slight frown on his face. I go over and pick him up, kissing his frown away and rubbing his back when he leans on my chest and hugs me. "There's a bottle left, Lio, grab it out of the fridge, it's labeled with Brayden's name, so you don't take one of Bash's."
"You still breast feed him?" Quinn asks me as she snaps Brayden in his carrier.
"Just with bottles, but yes." I nod. "I still pump and we keep bottles, I don't make as much milk anymore so he eats more solid food, but we still give him at least two bottles a day, usually with his breakfast, and again at night before bed. We wanted to slowly ween him off it."
"He looks so much like you." Quinn smiles. "He has those Pierce eyes, but that is a Lopez baby." She smiles.
I laugh. "He may look Lopez, but his personality is all Pierce, most of it, his glare is all Lopez." I add.
"Tell Quinnie and Brayden bye bye." I tell him.
"Bye bye." He nods, still laying his head on my chest. I lift his arm and he waves to them.
"Bye sweetheart." Quinn laughs. She walks over and kisses his cheeks, making us both laugh when he turns bright red and blushes.
"Are you kissing my big baby or little baby?" Brittany asks through a yawn as she sits up and stretches a little.
"The little one." I laugh.
"Okay, I kissed your baby tonight too, so we are even." She laughs and stands up, she greets Quinn with a kiss on the cheek. "Need any help getting to the car?"
"Naw we got it." Lio shakes his head. "See you ladies later, good night sir." He then shakes Sebastian's hand. He winks at me and kisses me on the cheek. "See ya Rat."
"Drive safely."
Brittany takes Sebastian to his crib and gets him settled back to sleep, while I tidy up the living room. I let Chef and brownie out on the roof, and thank God, we have this roof top patio for them to use, because it's freezing outside. Once they are done I grab the bag out of the metal can we keep their poop in and run it to the incinerator in the hall. When I come back in the penthouse I'm immediately met with Brittany's lips on mine.
"You were very much asleep just a few minutes ago." I smirk into the kiss, since she is holding me tightly and walking us back to the bedroom.
"And now I'm very much awake, and very much wanting my wife." She smiles when we reach the bedroom, she kicks the door close and pushes me back on the bed.
I wiggle my eyebrows at her and open my arms to hug her tightly when she lies on me and starts to nibble on my bottom lip, her hands quickly stripping my clothes.
Sebastian's Birthday
"Mami!" "Baa nee!" "Baa nee!"
I hear Sebastian frantically calling us through the monitor, hoping for any type of attention he can get, I feel Brittany jump up quickly and watch her trip out of bed, after she gets tangled in the sheets.
"It's his birthday!" She says happily as she runs out of the room screaming happy birthday.
We stayed up late so we could be in his room right at midnight. We cuddled on the couch in there and just stared at him, watching him sleep peacefully, counting his breaths, talking quietly about the many, many memories we have with him in the past year. The dance parties, the night feedings, watching him bond with Brownie, remembering him call us mami and mama for the first time, his first steps, the first time he laughed. The way our hearts broke when he got his first ear infection and screamed for two days straight. As soon as midnight hit we both kissed the top of his head and promised to make the next year of his life just as great as the first, we promised to continue to love him, to keep him safe, to nurture him in every aspect of life, to make sure he grows into the greatest man ever.
I finally reach the room and see Brittany hugging him tightly, singing happy birthday to him. She turns and hands him to me right away. "Happy Birthday baby boy." I tell him happily as I press my lips to forehead. "Happy Birthday sweetheart." I repeat, watching Brittany grab his footed pajamas out the the number one nice and big on his back.
"You get pancakes for the first time today." Brittany tells him excitedly as I lay him down and change his diaper.
"Orsh!" He yells.
"Yes, you can have an orange today." I nod to him with a big smile. We get him dressed and set him on the floor, smiling when he runs to Brownie, who was patiently waiting off to the side.
"You can have whatever you want today buddy." Brittany adds as he hugs Brownie around the neck, sending her tail into overdrive.
"Come on Bash." I tell him, reaching out my hand to him and wiggling my fingers so he grabs my hand.
"Baa nee." He shakes his head.
"Brownie will come too. Ven aqui, Crespo, por favor." I say with a smile.
He stares at me, while he processes what I said, before running closer and grabbing my hand. We watch to the living room where some of his presents were waiting. He sees the bright colored boxes and happily runs to them. "Share a cup of coffee with me?" I ask Brittany, she nods, but her eyes are still focused on Sebastian. I quickly make a mug of coffee with the Keurig. I add a ton of sugar and creamer, the way Brittany likes, and walk over to her just as Sebastian starts to rip off the paper of the first box. I sit next to Brittany on the floor, blushing when she kisses me on the neck and takes a sip.
"Ooooooo." Bash screams happily as he lifts the empty box in the air. He then goes to the next box and with Brittany's help he opens the next box, which is full of balled up wrapping paper. We learned quickly from Christmas and knew that he would love an empty box and some wrapping paper, so that's what we are letting him open and play with until his party later where we have some more gifts for him.
"I'll make the pancakes." I tell Brittany, when Sebastian starts to throw the paper in the air and jump around happily with Brownie, who is barking excitedly with Chef
I quickly make breakfast for us, cutting Bash's first pancake in the shape of a number one, I then make some applesauce for him and warm up a bottle for him. I place the pancake on his high chair table and then fix Brittany's and min plate. I nod to Brittany who scoops him up and spins him around while tickling him before bringing him over.
"Look Bash!" She smiles while setting him in the high chair.
"Orsh!" Bash tells us.
"I got your oranges baby." I laugh and point to the bowl on the table. Brittany quickly takes a picture of him with his pancake before cutting it up for me, his big blue eyes carefully watching her every move.
"Here Bash." She hands him a piece of the pancake and we watch him quickly stuff it in his mouth, smiling happily as he chews it, before he's even done with that piece he's reaching for another. "Slow down, don't choke." Brittany smiles. "I think he likes them."
"Just like his momma, who's obsessed with pancakes." I wink at Brittany.
"More." He tells Brittany, reaching for another piece.
"I'll cut up a few pieces for him, so he can eat them himself." Brittany tells me.
I pour some more syrup on my pancakes and nod. "We are both right here watching him, it should be okay." I tell her, biting a strip of bacon.
Brittany sits back down next to me and starts to eat her breakfast, smiling at Bash as he happily eats his pancakes, he keeps staring at the piece in his hand and smiling before taking a bite and giggling. He throws a piece to Brownie's waiting mouth and Brittany claps twice, Brownie knows what that means, so she goes and lies down by the couch, and watches Bash from back there.
3pm
The penthouse is full of people, all here for the best day of the year, okay second best after Brit's and mine anniversary. All of our friends and family members in town are over, my parents and Brittany's mom surprised us and came in town, which really excited Sebastian, since he loves his grandparents and doesn't get to see them often. He's currently sitting in my dad's lap, while the two of two eat orange slices, and my dad reads him a story, our moms are off to the side, crying over Sebastian's baby pictures, well his newborn pictures.
"Ready for the cake?" Brittany asks.
I nod and follow her to the kitchen, quickly kissing her on the cheek, before lifting his three tier chocolate birthday cake, decorated with blue fondant frosting, and orange and green baby monkeys holding hands around the cake. Finally a number one, made of cake, on the top, which is Bash's special piece, since it doesn't have fondant on it.
I walk behind Brittany, carrying the cake as she starts to sing, and motion for everyone to join in with her. Sebastian's eyes light up when my turns him to face us, and he starts to clap while pointing to the huge cake.
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday Dear Bash
Happy Birthday to You
"Bach!" Bash yells happily when everyone sings his name.
I sniffle and try not to drip tears in his frosting since I can't wipe my eyes right now. I kneel down in front of him with Brittany so he can blow out his candle. He's dressed in navy blue corduroys, and a white sweater with the number in red on the front, Bash stitched in the back. He has on a party hat like everyone else, and a pair of red converse, courtesy of Brittany's mom.
"Who's birthday is it?" Brittany asks him tickling him.
"Bach!" He screeches when she points to him, causing everyone to laugh.
"Help momma blow out the candles." I tell him.
Brittany grabs him from my dad's lap and stand him between her legs, she hold him tightly around the waist and starts to blow. "Blow Bash."
He looks up at her and laughs, before scrunching up his face and blowing with her, or should I stay spitting and drooling down his bib, but it's the thought that counts. I join in blowing so the candles go out and nod to everyone that they can clap. Sebastian gets excited and starts jumping up and down, clapping as well, a big smile on his face.
"I'll help you pass out cake." Rachel smiles and walks over grabbing the cake from me. I nod thank to you her, and grab Sebastian's tier of the cake down, following Brittany to his high chair. She sets him in and waits for me to place the cake down in front of him.
"Are we just letting him have it?" I ask Brittany, but before she can answer Sebastian has both of his little fists full of cake, stuffing it in his mouth.
"I have pictures and video, don't worry." My mom laughs. I turn and see her recording Sebastian, who is laughing and shaking his head.
"Mami." Sebastian holds a handful of cake up to me. "More."
"Whoa, you're sharing with me?" I ask him and lean down, I open my mouth and let him feed me some cake, a smile on his face. Brittany gets a small handful and smashes the cake on his face, he gasps and starts laughing loudly before getting another handful himself and smashing it on his own face while kicking his legs and laughing.
"Can momma have some?" Brittany then asks him, he blushes and nods when she does, she leans forward and lifts his hand to smash the cake on her face, which really tickles him and he screams before laughing.
"Mama!"
"Mama is silly isn't she?" I laugh and make sure his bib is still straight on him.
"Bash doo." He nods while eating more cake.
"Yep, it's your day baby boy." I nod with him. "Today is your special day."
