A/N: I'm back! I'm not sure for how long and I am so sorry that I've been gone for a while. My mock exams have kept me busy, busy, busy! They're only mocks but they're still important and I should get my results Monday, :) Anyways, between revising and reading - The Mortal Instruments, City of Heavenly Fire - I have completely avoided my fan-fics and I'm so sorry! The six weeks are coming up soon and really hope to finish this story, XD

36. Precious Treasure

"Passion. It's what you need in life; heart and mind work together to conjure up this eagerness that follows along the lines of love but is more intense in some ways, less serious in others. Passion is what drives us as human beings. It is what makes us unique, because we all want different things, and passion is what fuels our aspirations, no?" The orange-haired male let out a huff as he finished scribbling on the black-board in the white chalk; its dust was going everywhere and his brand new suit was completely covered!

"Thank you Kagome, you make a very valid point, did everyone hear that? Ren? Syo?" Said boys suddenly broke out of their heated staring match and looked to their sensei who had brought them up for the last four years.

Syo, with newly-dyed blue-blonde spikes sent a dazzling smile in the girl's direction before turning to face Hyuuga-sensei. "Sensei, I need help with my last verse, if you would please help me?"

Rolling her dark-blue eyes, Kagome headed over to her seat that was next to the balcony surrounding the three-story window. She could hear the quiet banter going on in A Class downstairs and couldn't help but let out a few snickers at the jokes that Natsuki was saying. 'Why do I even bother any more? It's like I'm the only one who has to protect a scholarship in this school.' Allowing her thoughts to wander, the seventeen-year-old girl never noticed the incoming spit-ball that was heading her way.

A high-pitched shriek broke her out of her reverie and she turned to see the prettiest girl in the class, hell, the whole school! Said auburn-haired girl was rubbing her hand with a furious expression, all the while glaring at the one-and-only Tokiya Ichinose. "Nerds, the lot of them," was her final words before Sakura - that was her name - was sent out by the hawk-eyes Ryuya.

Following the girl outside, Ryuya exited the classroom.

Tokiya stood like an unfurling bird, as elegant as one, anyway, and strode over to where the girl was sitting. Stooping down, the navy-haired star picked something up before pocketing it and looking in Kagome's general direction.

Meeting gazes, Kagome felt a blush splash across her face and she quickly turned back to the window, hoping that her face hadn't been seen.

A pale, thin-fingered hand lay on her desk with a gently slap and Kagome turned to the front, only to face the chest of one, Tokiya Ichinose. "Eeep!" With an undignified yelp, Kagome shuffled back.

"Spit-balls," was all he said before he placed the item he had picked up earlier on her desk.

'He… did he stop her?' "Thanks…"

The next day, with the trees glowing bright green in the beaming sun, Kagome strolled through the paved gardens, humming quietly to herself. Spotting one of the park benches, she slumped into it with a blissful sigh.

"We can't meet like this any more, Syo. People will begin to notice." Hearing the distinctive male voice, Kagome began to walk through the trees in the direction of Ren Jinguji. After a few paces, Kagome poked her head around the tree that was blocking her view, and what she saw shocked her to her toes.

Ren had his hands buried in Syo's blonde and blue locks whilst the shorter male had his skinny arms wrapped around the much taller male's body. The orange-red-haired idol and the young, small pop-star were in the midst of a very passionate kiss. Suddenly, the reason as to why Ren had shut her out made sense.

"Ren Jinguji I am SO angry with you!"

The pair immediately broke apart gasping, eyes wide and hands over hearts whilst their orbs and mouth began pleading for her to not tell anyone.

Storming over to the ridiculously tall male, 'seriously, why is he so tall? It must be the half-blood.' and yanked him down to her level by the lapels of his uniform. "Is this why you stopped talking to me? Really? I don't care if you're gay, or bi or whatever, what I am annoyed at however, is the fact that you thought I'd hate you over it! Seriously!"

Ren's face immediately blossomed into a glorious smile before dragging his long arms around her tiny frame. "I'm so glad I don't have to keep it from you anymore. I've missed you. Syo, it's okay." The male who was actually the same height as she approached the pair before he gave Kagome a watery smile.

"So. How long have you two been dating?" An inquisitive eyebrow arched above a blue eye whilst she looked at them expectantly.

Ren began to brush his hair away from his face in a nervous gesture, "um… It's been, ahh, um, yeah, uhh, a year." Wide eyes were his response and she glared at him.

"You kept it from me for that long? Jeez, I wouldn't have minded. My brother's gay," nodding, the three began to walk back to the dorm rooms. "If you want a place to use, it's not much, but my room is always free, and we could just say we're doing assignments and I'll sneak off or something."

Kagome's day suddenly brightened up.

Opening her door, she had left Ren and Syo little over an hour ago, Kagome pushed it open fully only to be greeted by Tokiya. "Are we really going to do this now?" The events of yesterday came to the forefront of her mind and she felt a brush rising.

"I didn't want to break up, you know, Kagome. I still really like you and I… I just wanted to make sure you were not in it for the fame or anything. You're really special and I-"

Huffing, Kagome walked over to Tokiya, who was sitting on her small bed and slumped into it next to him. "We ended it because my grades were slipping and homework wasn't getting done and my scholarship was in danger. Tokiya, I do love you, but I need to get these exams out of the way first. Then, I can not care about my scholarship. Will you wait for me?"

Bending down, Tokiya brushed her lips with his own briefly before he whispered against the cherry-red appendages, "of course," leaning back, he kissed the pale skin of her forehead before meandering around her and leaving the room.

Kagome felt her heart pound.

AND I AM BACK BABY! I do not know for how long, however. I'm sorry but as my author's note said, I have been very busy with exams. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed reading! Please review! :)
