This chapter's short but lets just be happy theres an update.
Once Klaus, Elena, and James walked downstair they saw Kol and Elijah standing next to the most beautiful espresso colored bassinet Elena had ever seen. "What is this all about?" Klaus asked with a hint of a smile on his face.
"Well Nik when we heard Elena was pregnant we all decided to by something for it with we now know is a boy so I can give you this. Rebekah said giving Klaus a blue with poka dots traveling bassinet filled with random baby stuff. "Awe it's so pretty! Isn't pretty Klaus?" "Petty isn't a word I use Elena, but yes it is." He said putting a sleeping James in the large bassinet next to Elijah. "Thank you for all of this its great!" "How about you have dinner and go back upstairs and rest Elena, you had a hard time today." "I'm fine Klaus but ok." Elena said finishing her blood. "Happy I finished." "Now lets put you to bed and get your energy back." Klaus said tucking Elena in and turned to leave but was stopped by Elena pulling him down next to her.
"What is it?" He asked. "Thank you." "For tucking you in bed?" Klaus said confused. "No, for James, and you know maybe we can have another one in the future." "You know vampires can't have children, plus James' birth almost killed you, I won't risk that again." Elena gave him a pouty face and kissed him. "Oh no you don't! Your not suduceing me Elena." "Klaus I just gave birth you really think I'm going to let you anywhere near me." "Thats to bad I wouldn't mind trying to have a child." Klaus said with a wink, "Now sleep and you can spend more time with James tomorrow." Elena nodded and fell asleep soon after he left.
"Bonnie thinks she's dead and I'm sure shes called Jeremy and the Salvatores so there probably going to bust in here any minute demanding Elena's body even though she is only asleep." Elijah said. "Well then, I guess we wait for their arrival. Then we make them look like fools when they see Elena's alive." "What about James?" Kol asked.
"When they get here stay as close as you can to him. I don't want to have to wake Elena up and tell her that her newborn one of its kind vampire son, James was taken by her ex boyfriend and his brother." Klaus warned them as the door bust open waking James causing Rebekah to run to him and pick him up and try to put him back to sleep while Elijah, Kol, and Klaus fought the Salvatores and Jermey. "Run Rebekah! Take him away!" She knew only one way to stop the fighting so she ran upstairs and woke Elena.
"Elena wake up!" Her eyes shot open at hearing her crying son. "What is it? Why is James up here, and not asleep?" "Damon, Stefan, and Jeremy woke him up when they bust the door down and attacked my brothers. I need you to come and prove that you're not dead." Elena nodded and walked out the room towards the stairs.
"STOP!"
Everyone froze and looked up. "Elena, you're alive! How though? Bonnie said you died giving birth to that demon child." Elena was in front of Stefan in seconds hold him by the throat cutting off his air. "Call my son a demon again and I will stake you myself." She then dropped him and walked back upstairs to Rebekah and James.
"I got everything straightened out. Once they leave I will go back down there, but until they do I'm not leaving this room." Rebekah nodded and left to check and see if the coast was clear. Everyone was gone now it was only compeled maids cleaning up the mess.
Klaus saw his sister at the top of the stairs and walked up to her mumble angry "give me my son." "Whats wrong with you?" "You woke Elena, when you know I wanted her to sleep." "I'm sorry Nik, but she was the only one who could stop the fight without anyone dying."
"I'm sorry you got woke up." Klaus said walking in Elena and his room. "If it helped, it was fine. Now put him down and come to bed." "I don't need to Elijah want to watch him for the night." Klaus said as there was a knock on their door. "Look whose here James it's your Uncle Elijah." Klaus said opening the door and giving him to Elijah. "Your favorite uncle." Elijah corrected. "I beg to differ!" They heard Kol call out. "Well this sounds like an uncle problem so good night and good luck." Elena said closing the door in Elijah's face and pulled Klaus to the bed.
"That was very rude of you." Klaus said with a smirk. "He'll get over it. Now goto sleep." Elena said laying her head on his chest. "Klaus, before you fall asleep can I ask you something?" "Go ahead." "If I had died giving birth what would you have done?" "Well I probably would have ended up having to have a new house built after destroying every room. Then going on a very large hunt causing people to come up missing for months until they find the drained body. And since my siblings would be trying to get me to stop they would all end up with a dagger in their chest for another century or two."
"What about James?" Elena asked horrified. He would grow up with me. I wouldn't get rid of the last peaice I have left of you for all the money in the world if you died."
