THAT VERY DAY, BACK AT THE STADIUM DURING SUNDOWN
[The Maiami Championship Junior Youth Tournament!]
Shouted Nico from the background, yet Yuya wasn't really listening since he was more worried for Yuzu. Not caring at all while he was standing with the others which includes Ren, Leone, Shun, Dennis, Luna, Kai, Tsukikage, Selena, and Aichi. Up on the stands were Naruto as well as others yet the father was also thinking about what happened, how Yuya evolved yet again past his limitations but his thoughts stop there at seeing the group stop in front of Nico.
[Attention, everyone.]
Hearing that, Yuya looks up to see the screen revealed Declan's mother, Himika.
[This may be sudden, but as a representative of the organizer of this tournament, I have an important announcement for everyone. As of sundown, the tournament...will be discontinued.]
When she said that, many became shocked at hearing that as well as complaints rising from the crowds but when the sounds dyed down, she spoke again.
[The reason why it is being discontinued is because in the midst of the battle royal, an opposing force invaded our world. These invaders come from a Dimension beyond our imagination, and intent to wage war against our home. Their vanguard has advanced upon us. They use duel monster cards as weapons, and attacked us with monsters summoned through real solid vision. We did not broadcast the battle royal in real time so that the people of this city...no, so that the people of the world would would not panic unnecessarily. Please understand.]
Her words confused many and worried far more then that but she continues.

With those words, they were introduced to the Obelisk duelists yet instead of a horrible sight it was shown that it was a one sided annihilation on the adults part with Aichi and Yuri's duel being shown. Many were amazed at the brute force that adults had used against them. Not only that, more footage was shown of the war in Astral World and it looked like a ww2 battlefield.
[As you can see, it was decided by Naruto to go in instead of the ones who were in the tournament. He and the other adults acting as the Judges swiftly dealt with the enemy force. That force is the Academia. They defeat their opponents in a duel, and then turn them into cards without mercy. It may be hard for you too believe but years ago, the reason as to why Naruto, the Dragon Emperor had disappeared all of a sudden was because he and others were fighting in another world to protect our home. Until recently he had returned victorious in there battle. Now what's left is Academia and Naruto himself has decided to take in a group of Hero's with him while having the other adults stay back too defend our home. THOSE HERO'S ARE THEM, THE LANCERS!]
With that said, the spot light shines on the group with Yuya just looking down until he felt a hand rest on his shoulder, looking back to meet the gaze of a smiling Ren.
"We'll get back your girlfriend so don't worry." He said, reassuring his brother who nods in understanding.
[We do not know when the enemy will strike again. In preparation for that, for now on, I encourage all of you to hone your dueling skills even further in order to protect yourselves. We at LDS will provide the premises as well as the curriculum for you to do so. The next Lancer may be one of you.]
Hearing that, Reginald was annoyed since he didn't want his daughters to be dragged into this but his attention was drawn over to his sister who was watching Yuya in worry just as Declan appeared on the screen.
[The world has gone through a complete change. The peace we knew yesterday is now a thing of the past. Be aware that we are now entering an era of battle. The Leo Duel School of the World, LDS...from this day onwards, they will be the Lance Defense Soldiers, the front lines of our defense.]
Hearing that, Naruto's eyes simply narrow at hearing that kids would be dragged into this.
[And I, Declan Akaba, will be fighting alongside the Lancers you see before you.]
Naruto starts ignoring the rest while thinking about the time of the past when he was the Barian Emperor, attacking Heartland city without a second thought.
LATER THAT VERY DAY, OUTSIDE LEO DUEL SCHOOL
It didn't take long for Yuya to find himself in a position he never wished to be in.
"Where's Yuzu?" Spoke the youngest of Reginald's children, Allie who stood next to her two friends which included Iris and Hart's son Tatsuya as well as Futoshi and Yuzu's dad as well as Rio. Seeing the sutured look on Syuzo's face, Yuya just looks away from him, unable to meet his eyes.
"Sorry...I failed..." He said emotionlessly, causing Syuzo'a eyes too widen.
"What do you mean by failed?" Futoshi asked the teen who grits his teeth.
"Wait, but she was-" Allie was cut off by Yuya shouting that it wasn't her, scaring the girl a little.
"She...she was...kidnapped by Academia." Hearing that, Syuzo's eyes widen all the way before he grabs him by his shirt.
"WHERE IS THIS ACADEMIA LOCATED, TELL ME NOW!" He demands Yuya who showed a shocked expression yet he just looks away from the father.
"It's useless..." When he said that, Syuzo glares at the teen.
"I was once a Pro Duelist, too! I'll find the culprit, beat him to a pulp, and save Yury-" He was cut off by Yuya looking at the man, causing him to stop at seeing the amount of stress, sadness, and guilt on his face since he was feeling even worse right now befits letting Yuya go, only able too look down in sadness at what had happened. Seeing this, Yuya's hands turn into fists.
"I'll save her..." Hearing that, Syuzo looks to see the seriousness on his face now.
"I'll save Yuzu, and I won't let anyone stand in my way from doing so!" He told the man before he turns his back to himself, soon enough he starts walking away with a red aura coming off his body.
"If it means I will have to kill my enemy, then so be it!" Yuya said with anger but he felt a hand grab his wrist, turning around to be met with a slap that caused his eyes too widen as well as frozen from the shock.
"THEN WHAT?! YOUR JUST GOING TO SAVE HER BY DOING THE EXACT SAME THING Academia IS DOING?! WHAT WOULD YUZU THINK OF YOU THEN?!" She demands her son who's eyes widen in shock but he just grits his teeth.
"I DON'T CARE! IF I CAN SAVE HER THEN I DON'T CARE WHAT I BECOME! HOW COULD YOU EVER UNDERSTAND-" He was cut off by his mother suddenly pulling him into a hug, greatly confusing him and he tries to pull away yet she won't let go.
"I don't want you to turn out like your father did...in the past, after I fell into a coma, your father became what you will become if you continue acting like this. I don't ever want to see you like that, it will just break my heart." While she said that, he looks up to see fit the first time in his entire life, his mother crying with tears falling on his face, seeing this scene had caused Yuya's too calm himself before he felt it again. Ever since he summoned Gear Groovy, he's been feeling regret because he wasn't there himself to protect her.
"I have something I've wanted too give to you for a long time." After saying that, she take out an envelope that confuses Yuya who was finally free from his mother's hold to be given the envelope that he opens and what he finds was a spell card.
"Smile...World?" He repeated the name in confusion.
"The one Yuzu loves and wants to be saved by isn't someone who's willing to become a monster to save her...but someone who not only makes there opponent smile but also the ones watching as well." Hearing that, he just looks down at the card before he takes out his Xyz Pendulum Monster. Yuya just stares at it and while it was happening, his hair goes down with his eyes no longer glowing, surprising Rio to see her soon looking like he once did before he awakened
"I see..." While he said that, tears appear in his eyes before he turns his back to his mother.
"We're all praying for Yuzu's safety, too. Saving Yuzu isn't just your desire, but everyone else's." Hearing that, he just stares at Gear Groovy to see it give off a heavenly glow.
"So...I should do what the f-...the other Yuya did?" When he ashes that, Rio only nods before she spoke.
"Whether they be your allies or enemies...make them smile and have them enjoy dueling again. After all, your not the first who's lost there way. You're our son so your bound too inherit some of our mistakes." Hearing that, Yuya just puts the cards away back in his deck before he starts walking away.
"Make everyone smile...then, how do I recall doing that exactly?" Yuya thought, not realizing that behind him was not a dark figure but one of light who was walking behind him with a smile.
NEXT DAY, INSIDE LDS TOWER
Currently Yuya was heading towards Declan's meeting room but not alone. Next to him was Shingo, Isao, Yuto, and Yugo who were also walking with them.
"So, how did it feel getting owned by Yuya?" Shingo questions Isao who glances at him in annoyance.
"First off, we both know I can kick your ass. Second, your defeat was far more devastating." When he said that, his eye started too twitch when he heard that.
"H-Hey!" Shingo shouted, yet he was just ignored before they arrive at the room to find Ren, Leone, Shun, Dennis, Kai, Tsukikage, Selena, and Aichi standing in the room.
"You're all late." Spoke the annoyed Kai who wanted to get there mission started already. They all enter with Yuya glancing at Selena who did the same yet he just looks away since she looks too much like Yuzu.
"You're all gathered?" Spoke Declan from the top of the stairs with Naruto behind him yet he wore a new outfit since they were headed to the Synchro Dimension. He wore a duel runner outfit which highly resembles a sector security outfit except for the fact its midnight black instead of green, the white is blood red along with the buttons and on his back was a the words "Lancers" but the "L" on what appears to be the globe. In his left hand was a motorcycle helmet resembling a skull which would cover his entire face as well as a big brief case in the other hand. Seeing his outfit, Yugo immediately turned into a fanboy with stars in his eyes.
"AWESOME!" He shouted with a smile in his face just as they continued walking down the steps until they reach the bottom.
"All thirteen members of the Lancers have been gathered, Captain but Luna isn't here!" Hearing that, Naruto decided to speak.
"She won't be coming since she decided too stay back, she knew she wasn't ready for a mission so she decided to protect Rio...also, she will be sleeping in your room Yuya." When he heard that, the teen immediately started sweating at his words.
"Also, you forgot us three." When Declan said that, Naruto showed annoyance just as a kid appears at the top.
"Reira will come along, too." Hearing that, Shun immediately disagrees.
"We're not going to play games. A kid like that, fighting Academia with us? He'll just get in the way!" Hearing that, Declan just disagrees with that.
"Reira's ability is equivalent to any of yours. He will absolutely not be a hindrance." Declan said, not realizing he is still a kid and not emotionally or mentally ready for this kind of mission.
"How old are you?" Dennis asked in wonder which Naruto glances at the teen who blinks in surprise and starts sweating from his gaze boring into his soul.
"Don't worry, Tsukikage will be protecting him in other cases but he is an excellent duelist though I myself rather not bring him along." Naruto said, making eye contact with Declan.
"I agree with Naruto, I won't accept this. A kid like that marching into Academia with us?" Hearing that, Declan interjected.
"We're not going to Academia. Our first mission is too rescue Yuzu Hiragi who is currently within the Synchro Dimension." Hearing that, Shun was now confused.
"What, by why not Fusion?" He questions the man who answers.
"1#, the Synchro Dimension has not yet been dragged into war. 2#, there may be some comrades there that we could recruit. 3#, we must create a bond with them, an alliance that can be used against Fusion Dimension together. 4#, Yuzu is our main priority as of right now, Academia has captured Yuzu's counterparts which include your sister and Yugo's childhood friend meaning other then Selena here, we mustn't let them get there hands on Yuzu." Hearing that, Yuya's eyes widen a little in surprise.
"Besides, before you ask, bringing Selena along is our best protection since there's more high level duelists in this group." Hearing that, her eyes just narrow.
"I can duel and protect myself!" She interjected with annoyance but was taken aback by Ren's words that were spoken next.
"Everyone in this entire room is stronger then you are, not to mention that you'll need backup in case the opponents are too powerful. Also Shun, rushing in there headfirst is not a smart idea since we must first scout out the area, that being Synchro Dimension." Ren told the angry Raid Raptor duelist.
"We must prepare to win, at this stage we have a 40 to fifty chance at defeating Academia but without knowing what there planning and there strategies then our winning percentage will lower even more, even with Naruto here." Hearing that, Shun just spoke in anger.
"Joining forced with you was a mistake. I'll march into Academia myself and save Ruri." He said with clear annoyance in his tone while walking towards the door.
"If you do that, your percentage will be completely zero. You don't have a chance, not just because of the countless duelists they have but also Yuri and Amun-Ra who uses the original Egyptian God Cards. You will be utterly obliterated in a duel if you go in like what you're thinking. Besides, you're not the only one who wants to save someone they about from the clutches of Academia." He told Shun who glares at his feet in anger.
"We need to hurry, whatever reason Yuzu is in the Synchro Dimension must won't last for long, whatever happened will gain the attention of Academia and they will send in reinforcements and attack Synchro Dimension." Kai said, wanting to hurry this up since time is all they have at the moment of Yuzu's disappearance.
"To make sure that we can save Ruri, we have to form an alliance with the Synchro Dimension." Hearing that, Shun finally spoke after a sigh.
"I still don't like the sound of that, but..." With that said, Selena gives him a nose just before everyone places there duel disks on.
"This is a duel disk equipped with a newly-invented dimensional transportation device. We used an item from the Xyz Dimension as reference, most notably Yuto's duel disk and Yugo Duel runner." Hearing that, Yuya showed surprise after realizing something.
"Wait, what about Yugo's duel runner?" When he asked that, the smiling Yugo replied.
"It's waiting for me in Synchro Dimension." He said with a smile on his face.
"Now...this duel disk is also fitted with a function that allows the activation of an action field. Naruto also made modifications to Shun and Selena's duel disks. The Pendulum Summon and Action Cards are our greatest weapons outside our own dimension, use them well for they will give us an edge over the other dimensions. Use those to your heart's content. Now, please prepare the cards that were distributed to you." Once said, he takes out a spell card just like all the others.
"We've imputed the Synchro Dimension's coordinates in them. Set them on your disks and activate them at my signal." Once said, they all places in there duel disks, gaining a bright light from all of them.
"Now, it's time to depart! Onwards to the Synchro Dimension, Dimension Mover, activate!" Once said, they all disappear to the Synchro Dimension as well as beginning if the next arc.
WITHIN THE SYNCHRO DIMENSION AT THAT TIME, ORPHANAGE
"W-W-Wha?" Came the voice of Yuzu who's eyes slowly open and what she first sees is the ceiling of a white room, causing her eyes too widen more. Slowly she sat up to find herself still in her regular clothing, in a bed.
"Where am I?" Yuzu said with great confusion until she heard the door open and looks to find with shock was Rei Shingetsu of all people, standing on the other side of the room eating ramen with his left eye having a freshly made scar on it.
"Seems you're awake." He said with a smile on his face.
