Olivia sighed as she looked around the soon to be nursery, there were boxes piled up everywhere of baby furniture waiting to be put together. It was times like these that she wished she had taken Alex up on her offer and have someone come in and set it up for her but instead she insisted on doing it herself. The only thing that she relented on was allowing someone come in and paint it a nice baby blue for her while they spent the weekend at a Bed & Breakfast.

Deciding that there was no way she would be able to put everything together she grabbed her phone and dialed Stabler. Even though they had a rocky start they had ended up being pretty good friends. She figured with his expertise with putting baby cribs and changing tables together having four kids they should be able to knock everything out and have it completed by the time Alex and Casey returned. She just prayed that he would be available to help her in a moment's notice.

"Stabler." Elliot answered on the second ring.

"It's Liv, I was wondering if you would be able to come over and help me?"

"whatcha got?"

"Casey has Alex out today and I was going to use that time to get the nursery together and surprise her. I didn't think that far ahead and thought I could put it all together by myself. Well, there's not only a lot of pieces but let's be honest I'm just too fat to be bending and squatting like I need to.

Elliot couldn't help but laugh at how Olivia put it even though he knew if Alex ever found out he would be receiving a free vasectomy. "Give me about ten minutes and I'll head that way. I'm pretty sure for some pizza and beer I can convince Munch and fin to assist as well."

"With enough pizza and beer I can convince you guys to do anything and that would probably include murder" Olivia pointed out "Tell them all their favorites will be delivered within twenty minutes of their arrival."

"See you in thirty." Elliot stated as he hung up the phone.

"I hear that you need a man." Munch answered as Olivia opened the door "I am the man for you."

Olivia couldn't help but laugh. She had learn during her time with the unit that if you ever needed a laugh or wanted to know the latest conspiracy theory he was your man. "Munch, I hate to break it to you, you're a real nice guy but just not my type."

"Just as well your wife is the one who has caught my eye. Now if only I can convince her that I'm her knight in shining honor."

"Best of luck at that old timer." Fin stated as he came up behind Munch and smacked him on the back before walking up to Olivia and hugging her "Miss you at work. How is the football player doing?"

"He's doing great but my bladder that he insists on using for practicing his punts is a different story. Now I know I still have a month to go but if anyone happens know a secret way to speed this month up I would be greatly appreciate.'

"Sorry there are no secrets to speeding up time." Fin answered as Elliot came through the door "I hear we are being served pizza and beer in exchange for putting together a nursery. It's a surprise for Alex?"

"Yeah, I wanted to surprise her with a completed nursery when she returned later on today. But in my state." Olivia motioned to her protruding stomach "That is just not possible."

"I believe you have it backwards. You're the one that is pregnant so she is supposed to surprise you with a completed nursery."

"Maybe so." Olivia stated as she motioned them to follow her to the nursery "But she had done so much for me that I wanted to be able to give her something. When we discussed the nursery she stated she wanted a nautical themed one and the way her face lit up I had to make it happen for her."

"And how have you managed her not questioning the things you've ordered?" Elliot couldn't help but ask. He was as involved as a first year marine could be with his first child and there wasn't a question he didn't ask when Kathy bought something or even mentioned something she thought was needed for Maureen.

"Because I am lucky enough to have a wife who has given me cart blanche when it comes to the nursery. Since I knew she would never once question me wanting her to stay out of here and doing it my way it was my opportunity to turn this room into what she envisioned."

Elliot looked around the room at the various boxes stacked up and groaned internally. Boy did they have their work cut out for them. "In that case we need to get busy otherwise we will not get it completed before Alex returns."

It was almost three hours later that Olivia stood at the door and admired the finished room. On the ceiling a nautical compass had been painted around the light like Alex had described along with a compass rug in the center of the room. The book case, an upright boat with a fishing rod mounted to each side, was positioned caddy cornered near the window with a rocking chair near it. The changing table was actually an old entertainment center that she had redone to match the room. The dresser had four drawers and she had the knobs replaced with miniature helms. Above it was a set of oars that she had criss crossed and had the name Jonathan Cabot painted on both. Though what really set the room off was the crib.

Olivia had spent many hours surfing the web trying to find a crib to fit the room. She was beginning to think she would have to have it specially made when she finally discovered it on website called bellebebes out of London. She didn't think twice about ordering it and paying the shipping price and could only imagine Alex's face when she saw it. It was in the shape of a small sailboat that was slightly suspended from two wooden arms. The bottom of the boat was painted white and blue and on the bow she had fastened the name Jon in wooden letters. The best part about the crib was that the way it was built it could also swing from side to side in a soothing motion for the baby. Above it with the help of Munch and Elliot the words As the Ocean has no end so does my love for you was stenciled on the wall.

"Honey where are you?" Alex called out pulling Olivia from her thoughts.

"Up in the nursery" Olivia called out taking one last look around smiling at the outcome of the room. She knew without a doubt that not only would Alex love it but would be surprised as well.

"How is it coming along?" Alex asked as she walked toward Olivia who had just shut the door to keep her from seeing it. She couldn't wait until the room was finished and she was finally shown the completed project.

"Thanks to the guys it is finished."

"The guys?"

"Apparently beings as pregnant as I am I cannot bend and stoop like needed to put everything together so I had to call in some help while you were out this afternoon." Olivia stated as she wrapped her arms around Alex and pulled her as close as her stomach would allow. "Would you like to see your son's room?"

Alex nodded as she kissed Olivia on the lips trying her best to moan at her loss of contact when Olivia let her go and turned around to open the door.

"Close your eyes." Olivia said as she waited for Alex to do as she said and took her hand before opening the door and leading Alex into the room. Taking a deep breath she exhaled slowly as she looked around one last time. "Now open them."

Alex opened her eyes and felt as if the air had been knocked out of her. The room was everything that she had imagined it to be. She took her time studying each piece, the book case in the corner, the changing table with a portal window in the back, the oars with their sons name on it, the compass on the ceiling and the floor. Finally she studied the crib and walked over to it. She moved it gently as tears started to fall from her eyes. Olivia had done all this for her.

"Alex?" Olivia questioned as she saw the tears in her eyes. What if she had messed up and Alex hated it. What if Alex hated her because of it?

"You did this for me?" Alex whispered as she reached out and rocked the crib. She couldn't believe that she had gotten so lucky to find someone that actually thought about her, about what she wanted, what she needed.

Olivia nodded as she walked up "I wanted to do something special for you. Do you like it?"

"It's perfect, just like you." Alex answered as she turned and pulled Olivia into her arms and thanked the lord above that she had chosen to walk that cold night instead of taking a cab and going home like she originally planned.

A/N: Finally the room is set up and the next chapter will be welcoming Baby boy Jonathan Cabot into the world.
