…...
Kill me now.
…...
Ser Davos raced up the stone steps to the largest tower on Dragonstone. Since Stannis was removed from the island, he had been hiding in the lowest portion of the castle, hoping not to be seen. When all were sleeping, he would sneak food and water, bringing it to Shireen, who had all but been forgotten about. Melisandre did not worry about the child, for she was no threat and this new King Adrian did not know of her.
Davos lightly tapped on the narrow wooden door, a tap that only he would recognize, and when he heard her whisper, he entered. Upon entering, he found she only had one candle lit and she was holding a book upon her lap, "Ser Davos."
She would greet him every time, just like the lady she was. But this night would be different. He would do things that he never thought of doing. Davos hoarsely whispered, "We must leave tonight, my princess." Shireen gave a mocking smile, "I have told you not to call me that. I have not been a princess for years." Pushing her remark aside he walked to her, her scaled face showing in the dim light, "We must leave. We are bound to be found out soon. We are lucky this mad man has kept the red witch busy." He grabbed her arm and lifted her from the bed, ready to carry her in his arms if he must. They would leave to the free cities.
Shireen pulled away, "Let them find me." Davos looked at her as she continued, "What have I to live for? My father cares not for me and my mother is dead. All I care about does not care for me."
Ser Davos groaned, "That is not true and you know it. Your father just-"
"My father does not care for anyone but himself. You know it." Shireen sighed and placed her small hand on her friend's cheek, "Leave me here and let me go."
But as they were speaking in the high tower, Melisandre looked up from her work and whispered, "He's with the girl!" She ran from her seat and as she ran down the hall she screamed, "Guards! Guards!"
…...
Shireen smiled and tucked her small book in Davos' hands, "You must practice your reading more." He snorted, "I can't promise anything." But the last thing she asked, was what he did not want to hear, "I want you to kill me, Davos." He looked down at the small creature in front of him, "I will not."
Shireen looked to her bed and picked up a small dagger he had given her years ago, "Do not give him the pleasure of raping me and her the pleasure of torturing me. I am nothing now and death will be kind." She placed it in his other hand, "You must show me mercy." He had no time to think, because soon, he heard the red witch's screams coming from down the steps. Shireen's eyes went wide and she gave a panicked whisper, "Do it now, Davos."
He knew he didn't want to, but he also knew that if he left her here alone, that man claiming to be a King would take her and then kill her. He wondered how she could be so calm. The voices of several soldiers and the red witch were now outside the door and he quickly unsheathed the dagger.
"Please." Her pleading voice made his heart break and just as the door was broken open, he pulled her close and pushed the dagger into her belly. It was quick, but her gasps and soft cries made him grow weary. Melisandre stood in the doorway and when she saw Davos pull the girl to him and when she heard the slicing of flesh, she knew what had happened.
Davos nuzzled Shirleen's neck and whispered, "Forgive me, princess." He pulled the dagger out and as she fell to the bed, her hand upon her wound, Melisandre screamed, "Grab him!" Davos backed into the corner as the guards walked to him with swords drawn, but his eyes caught the open window nearby. He grabbed the lit candle and threw it at the guards, making hot wax fall upon them before he took the chance to run to the open window and jump. Melisandre ran to the window and watched as Davos splashed into the waters below. She growled and pushed away to look at Shireen, who was still alive, but barely breathing.
Shireen looked at her and whispered, "Fuck your god, I have my own." Shireen turned her head and saw the dagger laying only a foot away on the bed. She reached and Melisandre saw, "Stop her!" But Shireen, even in her condition, was too quick and she held the dagger to her own throat and quickly cut.

Sansa sighed and knocked upon her sisters door, "You wouldn't leave without a hug would you?" Arya turned around and smiled, "Of course not. I still have a few hours before I leave, why don't we go to the Godswood?"
Sansa smiled at the suggestion and both girls walked out of the castle. As they walked through the grass towards the woods, Arya looked back at the four guards following them and back to her sister, "Sandor told me of your dream the other night. Are you ok?" Sansa sighed and whispered, "It was the worst dream I had ever had, Arya. It was so real, like he was there. I felt his touch upon my neck later."
Arya patted her sister's arm, "Should anything happen while I am gone, you will write?" Sansa nodded, "Of course. Sandor and I plan to travel around Westeros. On the way back from King's Landing, perhaps we will stop in your new home?" Arya nodded, "Will you visit Jaime?"
Sansa smiled, "If we didn't, it would be rude. Lady Brienne is with child just as I am and they should be born around the same time." The girls walked into the Godswood and sat upon the large boulder. Arya looked down at the pond in front of them and flashbacks from the night John saved her went through her mind. They had not told Sansa anything about what happened, but as she looked upon it now, chills went through her.
"Sansa, how deep is that pond?" Sansa looked at it and shrugged, "I think three of four feet. Why?" Arya shook her head, "Nothing."
They spent the rest of the afternoon praying and when it came time for Arya and John to leave, Sansa began to cry, "I've lost you once before and I fear I am losing you again." Arya hugged her sister, "Do not worry about me, Sansa. Once I have done what I need to, I will come back." Sansa nodded in understanding and played with the fabric on her sisters dress, "You will write often. And once you are married, let me know so I can send gifts." Arya laughed and moved on to Sandor, "Well, this is goodbye, Hound."
Sandor smirked, "Aye, but I have a feeling you'll be back soon enough. You be good, ya hear?" Arya nodded and they looked at each other for a moment before she stepped forward and threw herself into his arms, "Thank you for everything." Sandor was shocked she had hugged him and he slowly wrapped his arms around her in return, "You've made me grow soft, wolf bitch."
Arya pulled back and smiled up at him before moving to her siblings. She said goodbye to each one and soon she felt John's hand upon her arm, "If we leave now, we can cross the river before nightfall." Arya looked at him and nodded before he helped her mount her horse. John was about to mount his own steed, when he felt Sandor's hand on his shoulder, "You best take care of her. And watch out when she gets angry, she'll cut you up." John nodded, "She is in the best of care, your grace."
So she was. Arya was in the care of one of the kindest Lord's in Westeros, she just didn't know it yet.

After Arya's departure, Sandor and Sansa brought the children into their chambers to spend the night together. As Sandor bathed in the wash room, Sansa sat on the floor with the children, "Would you like to see something?" Marian nodded and giggled, but Baelfire questioned, "Is it part of an adventure?"
Sansa smiled and nodded, feeling like a child again, "Oh yes. The most dangerous and thrilling of adventures." She reached under the bed and pulled out her trunk, which held her mothers jewels, books and her other special items. After she opened it, the two children pulled themselves closer to look inside. Marian pulled out a necklace and put it on, "Momma, look at me!" Sansa giggled and watched as Baelfire reached in and pulled out her locket from Sandor.
When Sansa saw that she gasped and smiled, "My goodness. You have found something very special to mommy, Baelfire." She reached out and he handed it to her, "What is it mommy?"
"This is a locket that your father gave to me when I was younger. Do you understand?" Baelfire nodded, "It was a gift?" Sansa nodded, "Yes. A gift for my name day." Sansa picked up Marian and sat on the bed while Baelfire sat upon the floor, digging gently through the trunk. She had not forgotten about the locket completely, but had only placed it in there before the war with Stannis began. Then after the birth of Marian, she never stopped to take it out. She looked at it for a moment before whispering, "Has anyone ever told you the story of the Hound? A lovely little tale of love."
She had remembered Lord Baelish whispering those words in her ear at the jousting tourney those years ago. But now she spoke them to her children.
Sandor had been walking through the doorway from the wash room hen he heard her whisper those words to the children. He paused and watched as Marian laid her head on her mother's breast and Baelfire was going from looking at her to looking in the trunk. He stayed a bit behind the doorway and listened as she continued, "Your father is one of the bravest men there is in all of Westeros. There are stories I will not share with you until you are older, but tonight, I will tell you that he will do anything to protect us and I love him very much." Marian yawned and mumbled, "I love daddy."
Sansa smiled and nodded, "I love him as well." Sandor walked out then dress in a loose tunic and some breeches. Sansa jumped when he spoke, "Bedtimes stories at your age? Aren't you a bit old, little bird?" She smiled, "No. Just a story for the children." He sat next to her on the bed and tickled Marian under her chin before they were interrupted by Baelfire's voice, "Momma! Look what I found."
He held up a large off white fabric and Sandor stood and took it from him, turning it around to see the Kingsguard sigil on the back. Sansa sighed, "I remember that day as if it were yesterday." Baelfire tried to take it back, "I want to wear it, papa!" Sandor shook his head, "No son of mine will ever wear this. My son, this cloak was a curse." Baelfire frowned and growled, "No fair!" He placed down the cloak and picked up the boy, "Time for bed."
…...
That night, as the children slept, Sandor and Sansa sat up in bed, looking at their packed trunks and satchels, "Are you sure you feel well enough to travel?" She knew he was speaking of the babe inside her and Sansa nodded and snuggled to him, "As well as I'll ever be. We need this trip and Baelfire and Marian will enjoy it." Sandor snorted, "We'll see about that."
A journey across Westeros was something Sansa was looking forward to.
…...
Hope you enjoyed! :D Please review and let me know what you think. Also, what do you think the gender of the babe will be?
