Hey Readers, sorry it's been so long since I updated. Time had been really getting away from me, so my greatest apologies. Enjoy! Review! Many Thanks, Your Loyal Writer...
"Teeeeddyyyyy!" Isobel called as she ran around Grimmauld Place looking for her brother.
"I'm up here Issie!" Teddy shouted down from his bedroom. He smirked at the sound of scrambling feet before his sister swung inot his room and jumped on top of him, knocking him of his feet.
"Blimey Iz!" Teddy gasped as Issie beamed down at him. Her chocolate hair was messy and her cheeks were flushed from running around like a hooligan.
"Teddy, Daddy's home!" Issie exclaimed.
Teddy's heart leapt with joy.
Remus had been forced to spend some time in London because the ministry were doing all sorts of re-registering things and it had taken over two weeks for Remus to have his entire autobiography to be downloaded into the ministry files. Dora had been outraged at the fact that Remus was being treated like scum all over again. Even with Kingsley as minister, people still treated him as a dangerous animal. He was given a cell room to sleep in. he had written to them telling them how it was like prison and how they locked him in at nights and the guard had spitted on him when he had first arrived. Teddy hated the thought of his Dad having to be put through this, but there was nothing a 7-year-old boy could do about that. At least he'd be home for the full moon on Friday, Teddy had thought.
Jumping back to their feet the children grinned at each other before Teddy stooped slightly so Issie could clamber onto his back.
Taking the steps in threes, Teddy sprinted downstairs towards the kitchen. Sure enough, Remus was sat in one of the chairs with a cup of tea in his hands and smile on his face.
"Daddy!" Isobel beamed as she threw herself off of Teddy and onto Daddy.
"Hello Kitten!" Remus smiled as he cuddled his daughter for the first time in too long.
"I missed you too much Daddy. You cant go to London without us again!" Issie complained as she burrowed into her father's chest and breathed in his scent- pine and peppermint.
"I missed you too Isobel." Remus sighed and kissed her forehead. "Have you been looking after everyone?"
Isobel shook her head smirking and said, "No but Teddy has!"
"Ah, Yes, of course he has." Remus chuckled. "Well Cub, are you going to hide in the doorway or come and say hello?"
Teddy laughed lightly and ran over to hug his father.
"I like being in charge, but I like having you here more." Teddy told him honestly.
"Look M, Daddy's home!" Dora stated, Carrying the excited little girl into the room.
"DAAAAADDYYYYY!" Maiya squealed reaching her arms out to Remus who helped her climb onto his lap beside her siblings.
"Well hello to you too Maiya!" Remus chortled as he kissed his youngest child's nose.
"You're never leaving again! I'll… I'll tie you to the chair!" Maiya told him sincerely.
"Well, I had better not leave then!" Remus replied in an attempt to be serious, though the corners of his mouth were tugging upwards. "So, do you kids want your presents?"
The three Lupin children's heads shot up at the word and their eyes widened in surprise and wonder at having gifts brought home.
"I'll take that as a yes then." Remus smirked as he summoned the gift bag. He took out three packages and handed one to each child.
Maiya had received a fluffy toy duck, which she immediately named Quackers. "A fine name for a duck!" Remus declared and M beamed at the praise.
Isobel received a bead necklace maker. She instantly took it out and started on her first necklace.
Teddy received a set of Crayola couloring pens and pencils. "Good! I'll be needing some new ones! Thanks Dad." Remus cocked his eyebrow at this statement and Teddy shot him a wink.
Remus smiled to himself, clearly his cub had drawn him something and he couldn't wait to see it in fact…
"Well, if you could excuse me a second. Teddy, I'd like a quick word." Remus decided, sliding the girls off of his lap.
Teddy took his hand and led him up to his room, doing his best not to run with excitement. Then, just before reaching the door, he stopped dead with worry- causing Remus to bash into him.
"what's wrong Cubby?" Remus asked confusedly.
"I… I… what if you don't like it?" Teddy stammered.
"I always LOVE your drawings Teddy." Remus assured him. Teddy grinned and let his father in.
The drawing in question was on a canvas and was propped up against the bed. It was another shaded 3D sketch, but this picture was of the Marauders- the original Marauders (and Lily).
Prongs held his head high and proud with his front legs pushing himself up straight. Lily had her arms draped around the stags shoulders her hair falling on her left shoulder but tucked carefully behind her ear. Moony was in the middle, sat up straight with his amber eyes glowing. Padfoot was on Moony's other side. He too was sat up straight but his signature smirk was on his face.
Remus gasped. "Teddy… I… I don't know what to say!"
"I thought you might want a drawing of you all…. Of how it used to be." Teddy murmured softly.
"I… I love it, Teddy, thank you!" Remus beamed. "I'll hang it in my bedroom, on the wall so I can see it always."
Teddy blushed a little but smiled widely at the praise.
"Now," Remus smirked. "If we're up here much longer I think the girls may send a search party!"
Teddy laughed. "Yes Dad, let's go down so I can eat lunch and you can kiss mum!" Teddy teased.
Remus tickled his son mercilessly.
"You cheeky little monkey! Come on! Away with you!" Remus chortled as he swung his son over his shoulder and took the stairs four at a time!
"Oh there you are Sweetheart, we were getting worried. Weren't we girls?" Dora chuckled as her husband and son came back into the kitchen.
"Is that pasta I smell, Mum?" Teddy questioned eagerly as his Dad set him down on the floor.
"It is indeed Teddy dear. Sit down all of you. Lunch is served!" Dora grinned.
"Excelent!" Remus smiled as he sat at his usual seat at the head of the table.
"I like mine with cheese!" Issie reminded her mother.
"And mine with ham!" Maiya instructed.
"And I like pepper." Remus snickered.
"And I like all of it!" Teddy added.
"I know! I know!" Tonks muttered as five plates sailed towards the table and Dora took her seat. "Bon Apatite!"
"Bon Apatite!" the family chorused.
"WAIT!" Teddy shouted as everyone picked up their forks. "I… I'd like to propose a toast!" he mumbled shyly. "To the Lupins!"
"To the Lupins!"
