The baby started to cry.

"Carl get the bag out of the car," Beth said to him. She needed changing. Once everyone was settled they would have to start potty training. Colby came and sat by her.

"Are you scared, you know to have a baby?" she asked Beth. Beth smiled at the younger girl.

"No I'm not; why?" she asked her. Colby looked at her.

"I mean, you and Daryl…you're having a baby in the middle of all this…aren't you afraid.. if something happened to you or Daryl…." She looked at the ground when Colby said that. She worried whenever Daryl was away from her.

She looked at Colby.

"We don't get to be afraid or upset. We do what we have to do. If that.. ever happened, my baby would be taken care of the same way we take care of Judith," and she knew that was true.

Carl came back with the bag then. Colby hugged Beth and stood up. "Come on lets go change the baby,"

Beth sat there by herself. What would she do without Daryl? What would he do without her? She felt her eyes start to burn and a tear rolled down her cheek.

Oh please bring him back to me I need him… she prayed.

The men started back. They would have to camp where they were for the night but right now he wanted to be with Beth. He didn't like leaving her before but now that she was close to delivering the baby he didn't want to be away from her for even a minute.

Then they heard the growling. There were walkers close.

The three men moved silently, tracking the sound. They could smell the stench of decomposing flesh in the air. A group of walkers were eating what was left of what looked like at least three people. It was hard to tell as torn up as the bodies were.

Between them, they put the walkers down and kept moving.

They got back to the cars an hour later. When Beth saw Daryl coming she burst into tears and hugged him to her. He wrapped his arms around her, whispering to her,

"Shhh Princess I'm here Promised ya I'd never leave ya an I never will," he kissed her lips, calming her fears. While he had no experience with this, he knew woman got emotional when they were pregnant. The truth was, Daryl was happiest when Beth was in his arms and he did not want to let her go even long enough to set up their camp. He picked her up off the ground.

"Yer heavier than ya look girl," he said kissing her again. She really wasn't; even pregnant his woman was just tiny. He put her down long enough to get in the truck and he pulled her inside with him and she covered his face in kisses.

"Hate leavin ya behind," he said to her between kisses. She smiled; her smile always melted him. Even back at the prison, her smile would light up the whole room. He looked in her eyes. He loved her so much.

"I'm just glad you're back baby," she said to him and they kissed again.

Daryl got their tent set up. While he did that she aired out their things a little bit. Soon as they were near a creek again she would wash them. She had just finished when Maggie came over.

Beth hadn't had much time to talk to her sister lately. She knew Maggie was pregnant and while Glenn wasn't happy the way Daryl was she knew he loved her.

"You still feeling sick?" Maggie had terrible morning sickness, worse than Beth's which didn't make Glenn any happier about it. Maggie nodded.

"You know it will stop soon," she hugged her sister. Maggie and Shawn had always bossed her around being older than her but she loved her sister. "Is Glenn getting used to the idea yet, you know having a baby?"

"Maybe if I'd quit throwing up. Sometimes I wish he was more like Daryl. Look how happy he is. I'm so glad you two found each other," The two sisters hugged.

"I am too," she put her hand her belly. Faith was kicking again. "Such a fighter she is," she adjusted her position to get comfortable.

"You mean, she's a Dixon," Maggie said and they both laughed.

Beth sat with Daryl by the low fire they built. His arms were around her and she was in his lap. She loved sitting like this with her man. He nuzzled her neck lovingly and whispered in her ear. She giggled a little and kissed him.

The others watched them, partially due to boredom but mainly because most of them never thought they'd see Daryl Dixon in love with anyone.

Daryl was kissing her passionately when she felt it, the pain move through her and then her clothes were wet.

"What the hell?" he said, "We're all wet,"

"I uh think my water broke," he looked at her. Fear shown in his beautiful eyes. She touched his face and gasped as another contraction hit her. "Get me in the tent and get Bob,"

"Are ya sure Princess I don't want ta leave ya," She saw the worry on his face and touched his cheek.

"Then I hope you can deliver a baby because our daughter's coming," He helped her get into the tent. He helped her lie down on the sleeping bag and helped her get her pants off.

"Fuck! I can see the head ain't time ta find Bob," Daryl didn't know what to do. He didn't want to leave her to go hunt for that no good drunk. He had a pretty good idea where Bob was. "should've left his ass on the side of the road," He yelled for Maggie. "

Maggie heard Daryl yell and even she could hear the fear in his voice. She and Glenn came running to the tent. "The baby's comin' My daughter's comin'"

Maggie knew a little about delivering babies. After Lori's death she had started reading a few medical books here and there. She knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.

"Ok sweetie lets meet your beautiful little girl," she said. "Glenn I need towels, rags whatever you can find ," She looked and the baby was crowning.

Beth screamed. She didn't know anything could hurt this much. "Maggie I need to push,"

"Go ahead," Daryl was amazed at what he was witnessing . Beth was leaning against him. He whispered in her ear. "Yer doin great Princess," he kissed her sweaty face and she pushed again.

"One more time sweetie harder just one," Beth screamed and felt her baby rip out of her. Then she heard her daughter's cry. She blacked out when she heard Daryl say "We got our little Faith princess,"

She heard them. Heard Daryl saying "Help her fuck don't ya leave me Beth don't ya dare," she opened her eyes.

"Daryl?" she said groggily. He hugged her to him kissing her. "thought I lost ya," he said.

"Where is she?" then Maggie brought her to them.

"Right here. She was having quality time with Aunt Maggie," She handed the baby to Daryl.

"Hey Faith Journey Dixon," he whispered to his baby daughter. He sat down and put her in Beth's arms. "Here's yer mama the only woman I ever loved," He loved them both so much and right this minute he was happy, truly happy .

But when he found Bob he was going to beat his ass into the ground..
