"What are you even trying to say, are you cra-" The demon was cut off by a fist picking her up by the front of her hoodie. She was held against the tree, staring at him.

"Stop with your lies." he briefly pressed his blade harshly against her throat.

"Lies? Bull, I haven't seen him in person in months! And last time was from afar!"

"Then why are you so defensive! You never argue in such a way unless you are hiding something! You are always so calm with the truth!"

"I'm sick of everyone asking what happened, I've answered so much, it's annoying! Plus YOU'RE harassing me, I'm not going to stay calm!"

War growled at her, his eyes were piercing her. "You are a demon, you are made to lie and betray."

"You wanna pull that card? Then let me pull mine," Sam lifted her arms and leaned her head back as far as she could, slipping through the hoodie and stepping away. "the only reason they keep you around is the same as Chaos and Corruption, to do the work they don't want to."

War threw the clothing to the side, turning to the demon who was just a yard away. "Stop speaking that way."

"Why should I? You know it's true, don't lie. Remember when they sent you on that mission with me, the one you left me with the humans on? They use you, and you let them. You are young and weak and easily the most gullible here."

"I'm warning you, stop Samantha."

"You know I'm not afraid of you, however," the demon stepped closer, her expression being clearly of fake lust "we both know you fear me," her face drew closer to his "and although you do not as well as your siblings, your signs of resistance only get covered with anger. And we both know that's the only reason you get more heated with every fight we do. Am I wrong?"

War pushed the demon away, causing her to tumble to the ground. He swung his sword down at her with a great yell, only for her to roll out of the way. She snaked up behind him and gave him a harsh punch to a small opening in the armor on his side. He let out a tremendous cry of pain, and he turned and grabbed her by the neck, literally slamming her into the tree. She too let out a cry, her head now gushing with fresh blood from the impact. His free arm held a small dagger to her neck, rather than Chaoseater, barely pressing on her.

"Any feelings I have for you are platonic, and anything more is simply hatred."

The demon held onto the arm she was being held by, giving her enough room to move her jaw to speak. "Hypocrite! Now you're the liar! Everyone here would know that's a lie! You were the second of the four to open up to me, and you fought against them to allow me to stay so I wouldn't be alone, did that memory slip your mind? How about all the other cherishable ones we've had when we were younger, huh?"

This is when Sam spotted Fury, followed by Strife, running towards them.

"You'd do well to bite your tongue, demon. I care for you no longer. You're just some hellspawn that walked into our lives and created issues we never needed to have."

Fury was now trying to comfort Sam and push on War, as strife was pulling on his arm that was still holding onto the demon. Both were yelling, as the two just stared at each other in most silence.

Present time

Death shoved his scythe in front of Wars torso and under the arm that was holding Sam, and the other scythe under the leg that was mainly supporting him. He yanked, immediately sending War flying across the field. Sam fell at the base of the tree, with Fury kneeling besides her.

"How is your head? What has happened to your arms?"

Strife came to her, holding out her hoodie. The demon put it on, ignoring Furys words.

War stood, but only for a second as Death had leaped onto him, pinning him with the scythes. "What caused such a degree of violence? What did you do to her?" War was silent. "Answer me, dammit!" He pushed down on his scythes, pressing them harshly against his brothers neck.

"She taunted me. Do you not smell the pheromones in her blood? She's done this on purpose."

"Do you know a thing about demons? They release such things when exposed to certain activities. Whatever taunting she did, was unintentional. Go home, and do not let me see you for the remainder of the day." He stood, walking to Sam.

War stood, watching his brother. "You should ask your mate again, where she really was in her absence. She's been lying."

"I do not care, brother." Death got within a few yards of Sam, who was now just looking at the ground.

"My spies saw her with Samael, numerous times for a while. And she spent most of her absence with him as well." Death froze at his brothers words, hesitating to turn to War. Strife and Fury did the same, after looking at the demon beside them. Both stood and took steps away from the girl.

"You lie," the eldest spoke, "she despises such demons."

"I am merely stating what my spi-"

"He isn't lying." The demon cut off the young horseman. All turned to look at her. She attempted to stand, only to fall back down and sit against her tree. "At first I was aimlessly roaming hell, but apparently news of me sharing the information that Samael is alive grew on, and he sought me out for it. I spent, I'm unsure of even how long, with him and his demons. I came back as soon as I could." The demon leaned her head against the tree, looking up at Death. "He wanted information, so I told him one of the several battle formations we had, and I told him it was the main one we'd use. I was going to indirectly tell you to use a different form, so I wouldn't have to tell you what happened." The demon looked at War, with a clearly nasty expression, "Happy now, scrap metal?"

"I still do not believe you."

"Stay your tongue, brother." Strife was the one to speak up. "You've caused enough damage."

"No, I will not silence. She is a demon. She has lied until now, she may lie again."

Death slowly turned back to War, silent.

"You heard her called a traitor once before," War pointed to the woman at the base of the tree, "by someone so high and might. And you still side with her? The hellspawn?"

"Goddamnit War, cut it out!" Strife started walking up to Death, standing beside him. "You've done enough, she's our family now whether you like it or not! Don't you see how fucking stupid you are, going against Deaths mate like that?"

War scoffed, turning on his heel a d marching back into the manor. There was two loud slams, being the front door and probably his room's door. The rest turned to Sam.

Death came closer and kneeled in front of her, grabbing one of her hands. "Why did you not want to tell us?"

"You worry too damn much. I didn't want to add to it. You're highly stressed, all of you. If I wanted to leave for a breather, I should've picked a better time. And not get kidnapped by a Demon Lord, I'm sure that doesn't help." The riders all let out a soft chuckle. "Of course, I'm ashamed too. Technically, I did lose a fight. I ended up giving some information. Whether it was useless or not, I said something."

"You were very smart about it though, Samantha. Honestly, I'm not sure how you lasted as long as you did. All of us have been under Samaels tortures before." Fury came a bit closer, as did Strife on the opposite side.

"The only reason I caved in was because I started thinking about how much I may have upset all of you. I had no idea how long I was even there, it could've been months, and I'd never notice." She hugged her knees to her chest and leaned her head against the tree, only to jolt her head forward again in pain.

"Jeez, he musta banged you pretty hard." Strife briefly leaned in so he could get a glimpse of the back if her head. "I think you should go see Scrouge, you might need some serious aid for that."

"First," Sam looked at Death, already worried about what he was going to say. "I'd like to know about these." He gently rolled up her sleeve on the arm of the hand he was holding. "Did you do this yourself?"

Sam's expression twisted in thought, and she shrugged. "Kinda. War did, but because I asked him to."

Naturally, the three were instantly confused. "Why would you have him do such a thing?" Fury grabbed at the demons shoulder, pulling back when she heard her wince.

"I wanted to try and see if I could recreate the weapon Lilith used on me. Scrouge is helping, and yesterday I asked War to help."

"So that is why I saw you leave from his room after the ride we shared?" Sam nodded at her lover. "Are you aware that your.. blood..?"

Sam was visibly confused, and Fury decided to answer. "You smell like candy."

Sam was still confused, and Strife spoke, "or a bitch in heat." He was immediately rewarded with a punch to the chest by Death, who uncomfortably cleared his throat.

The demons mouth made an "o" shape, and she attempted standing again. "Then I guess I should get my head checked out and then get some rest, I'll be on my way then." Once she stood, she nearly toppled over again. Her vision was spinning, and her balance felt uneven. If it weren't for the other three trying to steady her, she no doubt would be trying to crawl.

"Allow me," the eldest horseman put her arm over his neck, as he bent down so the height difference wasn't too great.

Sam tried to refuse, only to be greeted with an alarming headache, and a sore neck now every time she tried to move. "My neck," she reached to rub it, only for Fury to stop her. "but it hurts." She said, looking at the horsewoman.

"The wound, it looks exactly like what Lilith used to harm you. We need to get you to Scrouge, now." Death picked the demon up bridal style, rushing inside. Strife and Fury stayed behind, having chatter about the recent events.
