Lucy woke up gasping for air and springing into a sitting position with a hand over her heart. As she looked around, she saw nothing wrong. As she recalled everything from her past, she started crying. Rogue got up and moved to her side, but when he touched her, she screamed and fell off the bed trying to get away from him. Confused, he woke Laxus up to try and calm her down. As soon as he even moved, she coward in the corner shaking with all the fear she had. With both slayers completely dumbfounded, they woke the other four. But when each one took a step forward, she screamed an ear shattering scream that had the slayers covering their ears. As they all sat there and watched her cry to herself, there was a gold light with Leo stepping out from it.
"What did you do to my princess?" Leo said taking up a defensive stance in front of his master.
"We didn't do anything you stupid lion, now go back home." Laxus said crossing his arms over his chest.
"I find that hard to believe, I mean look at her. Someone did something and I'm not leaving till this is settled." Leo said.
"I think I know what's happened." Cobra said.
"Do you mind sharing you snake?" Gajeel spat.
"She's stuck in a nightmare." Cobra said laying back down.
"No one goes to sleep till this is resolved, now get back up and explain how you know this." Leo threatened.
"Why? There's nothing you can do till the memories stop." Cobra said closing his eyes.
"If you don't care for Luce then why did you mark her? Help us or so help me, there will be one less slayer in the world." Natsu said gripping Cobra on his shirt.
"You know as well as I do that I care for her. But unless we can break this trance that she's in, there is nothing we can do but wait it out. If we touch her or go near her, you know as well as I do that if we go near her or force ourselves on her that she could hurt herself trying to get away from us. What do you want me to do?" Cobra asked.
"You can hear her right, well narrate what she's thinking so we know how to respond." Sting said.
"Fine, but I'm warring you now that everyone here including the spirit will regret hearing this."
"We will live, now what is Lucy thinking about?" Rogue asked.
"She just got done thinking of her father and now she's thinking something of have power but not being able to save a friend."
"Are you sure of that?" Leo asked.
"Yes, why?"
"Because that is along the lines of what she said while she was saving me." Leo said looking back at her.
"Hold on, it's getting so vivid that I can practically see what she's seeing. Let's see here, there's some wood flying around her and some guy standing on a building with glowing eyes. Now she is in water it looks like with some girl holding her by the throat and the twin duo is smiling and laughing. Now there's a walking building with a piece of pipe coming out of it, it looks like a cannon. Now she's thinking of her mom's death and her dad again. Now theirs is a live dragon with black scales. Now she sees me fighting everyone and Angel. What's that, I'm sorry but it's starting to get fuzzy again. It looks like she's stuck in something and there was something about a piece of a clock. Does any of this mean anything to any of you?"
"She's running through any pain she has had in her life. We've all done something that has caused her pain, physically and/or mentally." Laxus said looking down at her with sadness in his eyes.
"OK, how do we wake Luce up?" Natsu said.
"Princess will be waking up in a few minutes." Virgo said walking out of her gate.
As they all sat there and waited, they noticed that the two spirits left for them to talk when she wakes up. After a few minutes, Lucy's eyes fluttered open to see sad faces painted on all six faces around her. As she took in her surroundings, she noticed that she was in a corner and on the floor.
"What's wrong with all of you, and why am I on the floor?"
"Lucy, you woke up screaming." Rogue said still not sure about getting near her.
"What do you mean, I just woke up and I'm pretty sure I wasn't screaming."
"It's more like we thought you woke up but you were still asleep, like sleep walking almost." Rogue replied.
"Why won't anyone come near me? What did I do while I was asleep that has you all upset?"
"Blondie, are you telling us that you don't remember anything from the dream?"
"No, now will someone tell me what's going on?"
"As Rogue said before, you were having nightmares and we couldn't comfort you." Sting said crossing his arms over his chest.
"Why not?" Lucy asked.
"Because you wouldn't let us touch you. That's why we haven't come near you yet." Cobra said with his arms crossed over his chest.
"You're kidding, there are six strong men here and no one will come comfort the one girl? I wonder who will be the bold one to try first." Lucy said eyeing each mate down.
"What do you mean try bunny? There is no try, there is to only do." Gajeel said getting up and walking over to her.
Lucy closed her eyes as she waited for him to get to her. She never felt him kneel down beside her, all she felt was his lips brushing against hers. Just that small contact had heat pooling in between her legs, and every slayer knew it. When he pulled away, she opened her eyes to see all six men filled with lust. Lucy didn't know what had come over her but she wasn't about to stop it either. She looked up into his eyes and smirked, then pushed him to the floor. As soon as he hit the floor, she was on top of him ripping his shirt off. The other slayers watched as she showed her rare dominant side that was on par with their own. Sting got tired of waiting and went over to her and put her arms behind her back.
"You may be able to overpower one of us but if two are here, then I guess you better start praying." Sting said ripping her shirt off with one hand.
Lucy watched as Gajeel scooted her forward so that his tongue could taste her essence that was pooling in between her legs. With a flick of his tongue, Lucy was writhing above him. Laxus move next and went in to get her a rough kiss that left her lips swollen afterwards. While Sting was behind her, he massaged her breast yearning another moan from the girl. While Lucy was enjoying their ministrations, she noticed a dull pain in her lower abdomen. Her face was filled with worry as she fought to have her arms free.
"Don't be like that, Blondie. We all know how much you're enjoying this." Laxus said.
"I may be enjoying this, but this needs to pause for a second. Something's not right." Lucy said.
Sting let her arms go and Gajeel moved to a sitting position with her in his lap. But when Gajeel moved her, she felt a sharp pain where the dull pain used to be. When she gasp for the air that left her when the pain started, all of the six men watched as she clutched to Gajeel. It wasn't long after that, that they smelled blood. As they all watched Lucy spill blood over Gajeel while crying into his chest, no one moved. Laxus was the first to regain his composure when she screamed the most horrible sound that anyone had ever heard.
"What's going on, Blondie?" Laxus asked.
"The babies" Lucy said clutching her stomach.
"Can you teleport us?" Sting asked.
"No, not in her condition." Laxus said.
"Didn't master say that Porlyusica was going to be at the guild today to talk to him about Wendy's training?" Rogue said.
"Alright here's what we are going to do. Because she's latched onto you Gajeel, you'll carry her. I'm going to get to the guild by teleportation to tell everyone what's going on. Get her there as quickly as you can." Laxus said.
Everyone nodded and helped Gajeel stand without moving Lucy to much in his grasp. Lucy was still holding her overgrown stomach and crying. As everyone began to run, they noticed that her breathing was becoming more labored. Gajeel refused to look down at her until they got to the guild, for he had to focus on getting there. As Cobra ran behind the group, he listened to her short thoughts.
"Stop the pain…it hurts. Why do I feel like closing my eyes?"
Cobra ran up beside Gajeel and looked down at Lucy to see that her eyes were closed.
"Lucy! You need to open your eyes and wake up, just hang on a little longer." Cobra shouted at her, but to no avail.
"What's wrong?" Sting said while they continued to run the fastest they ever have.
"I was listening to her mind and she said to stop the pain and that she feels tired." Cobra replied.
"Shit, we're almost there." Gajeel said as he picked up his pace to the point of almost tripping.
When they turned the corner and saw Laxus outside waiting for them, they knew that she would be fine. As Gajeel approached Laxus, he noticed that he went ridged and pale. Laxus quickly snapped out of it when they rushed past him and he could hear her weak heart. He ran behind them and up to the infirmary where Porlyusica was waiting for them. As soon as Gajeel laid her frail pail form down, Porlyusica went to work while ignoring the six mates and guild master in the room. After what seemed like eternity, the glow from her hands died and all eyes shifted to her.
"Where were the six of you at when she was stressed?" She asked as she eyed the six mates down.
"Can you clarify?" Rogue asked while everyone from Fairy Tail who has dealt with her stayed quiet.
"Even on bed rest, she was stressed and lost a child. I hope you're prepared for the consequences that will follow this loss."
It was then that all eyes left her and went straight to the now sleeping blonde. Everyone watched as master stepped forward and up to the bed while he held the hand of his precious blonde. He was hesitant to ask the question that was feared by the mates in the room, but asked anyway.
"And what are the consequences that we face?" Master asked.
"The offspring of a slayer and their mate, when lost causes a ripple effect until it can be stopped. If one dies then the rest of the babies and herself will face death. The babies are strong and are feeding on her life, but with one gone it upsets the balance. It was their job to make sure she was fine through the pregnancy, but they failed. Now they face losing the very family they created."
"Is there any way to stop them from dying?" Rogue asked while trying and losing to hold back his tears.
"Not unless one of you want to take her place with death. Her body is running out of life and magic to support the upset balance. Only a large amount of magic and the will to save, can save her now. The choice is yours, but you have until the end of the day before you lose another." Porlyusica said walking out of the infirmary.
