"I will tell you now." When his brother looked up at him with shocked eyes, Gene laughed as he let his head fall to the side. "It isn't like you can leave, or would leave Japan for at least two more years right brother?"

A small smile as he glanced at the smiling Mai, Naru sighed. "This is true."

But then after taking a deep breath, Gene sighed. "I have tried to come to you in your sleep brother. I have been there each time that Lin has tried to summon me. Miss Hara cannot even see me. It seems that the only one that I can communicate through is Mai. And then only through her dreams. She may develop the ability to see spirits, but there is just as good of a chance that she will not as well."

"But you could always do that before?" His eyes curious and hard, Naru met his brother's now hard eyes. "We could do that when we were sick and separated in different rooms. You could always use our connection to let our souls talk. Why can't you do it now?"

"There is something blocking me from doing it. Something doesn't want me to be able to talk to you. I don't know what it is at all. I thought it was her guides because of what she wanted. But that wouldn't have been the case when you first got here with Lin." Closing his eyes as he sighed, Gene dropped his head. "I don't know what it is. I have tried and tried to figure it out but I just can't seem to get it."

"We will work on that from our end as well." But then his eyes took on a pained look as Naru kept them on Gene. "What happened that day? I got a vision, but only of someone running you over and then throwing you in the lake."

"It was purely an accident." With a half-smile, Gene sighed as he looked back up at his twin. "I was on my way home. I was just going to cross the street. It was in a curve, I should have known better and the girl was just there as I stepped out. It wasn't her fault, but she flipped out. Kept saying she couldn't go to jail for murder because of her child she had to take care of. Drove me back to the lake and that is where I am. You know where the yakitori place I told you about is right?" When Naru's head nodded he sighed. "The alley just to the left of that comes out in a back road. Turn right and follow it until you see the lake. That's it."

Blinking as he looked at him then groaned as he dropped his head. "I have been by that yakitori shop more than once since I have been here in Japan. Not once did I get a vibe from it."

Smiling, Gene laughed. "That was me blocking it from you. I knew you would do ghost hunting as a way to try and find me or someone who could help you with it." Laughing again when he got an annoyed glare. "Just think though brother. Had I not, you would not have the friends you have, and you would have never met Mai. It worked out in the end doesn't it?"

Smiling as he looked at Mai as she winked at him, Naru nodded. "I guess it did that that Gene. It did at that."

Turning from his brother and Mai to Masako who stood in the back glaring with her arms crossed, Gene sighed. "Would you like a demonstration of what your guides are hiding from you? Some proof if you will that they are indeed doing that? Would you accept that as the answer then Miss Hara?"

"What are you talking about a demonstration?" Masako had nothing but a heated glare that got harder when they talked about Naru and Mai being together. It infuriated her! He was Oliver Davis! He was the most handsome man in the world to her! He understood her gift and they could work together with them! He could have the world at his fingertips through her connections with television. Yet he chose some orphaned retch!

"That's right. I can write down the incantation and do the talisman for Masaharu. Once he does it, you simply just have to hold it and it will send your guides far enough away from you that the barrier that they have around you, shielding your sight will bust. Then everything that you cannot see will be shown to you. Drop the talisman and when they rush back to your side, everything you saw, will then be gone." Reaching in Masaharu's pocket, he pulled out a small piece of paper and wrote the incantation on it, then another where he put the kanji for the spell. Sitting it to the side, Gene sighed. "It will be up to you if you want to do this."

Turning back to his brother, Gene took a deep breath as pure sadness washed over him. "Has mother and father started to get back to some level of normalcy?"

"In a way. Father buried himself in his work until I can find you. Mother forces a smile, but I could hear her cry at night before I left. A phone call to them in the morning telling them that I finally talked to you and that everything is alright, and I will be sending your remains home in the month will help them I am sure." Naru then blinked to see that he was still sad and didn't even smile. "Gene? What else?"

"Once she is done with her training, and she knows what she has to do daily to keep her ki in check. Noll I want you to do something for me that I hope you can do. Something that will help someone else out immensely. I know it is really hard for me to ask you to do this, but I am begging you." Gene didn't know how his brother was going to react to this. But he has checked in on her from time to time and she keeps going downhill. She needs to know that no one blames her, and that it is alright for her to be happy and move on.

"What is it Gene? You can ask me anything and you know that." Blinking, Naru didn't have a clue what he was talking about. Or who. But if it was something his brother wanted, he would do it. Regardless of what it was.

Keeping his head down, Gene took a deep breath. "I would like for you and Mai to go and talk to Yuriko Shima. She is the young woman that was driving the car. Only eighteen, working, taking care of her child on her own with the father just gone. I know that with what happened it is a lot to ask. But I stepped out in front of her. She didn't hit me because she wasn't paying attention or tried to. She was coming around a turn she couldn't see the other side of and I was just there. After she hit me when she backed up, she thought she was just getting me out from under the car. She is a very bad state and if it keeps going like this, not only is she going to suffer, but the baby as well. I am begging you brother. Please."

Dropping his head as he took a deep breath, Naru knew that all eyes were on him. He would do this for his brother. Hearing from him what happened, knowing that he wouldn't have lied to him about that. But he would have to have some time before they did that. Mai's training would be that. For so long now he had every intention on bringing the one who was responsible for his death to justice. He never thought for a second that it could just be a simple accident. "I can do that for you Gene. But after Mai gets some training in."

"That's all I really wanted to know Noll." Smiling as he closed his eyes and let his head fall to the side, Gene laughed. "That made my day brother." But then he opened his eyes as he turned serious and sighed pulling Naru's eyes up to his. "But. Whatever is blocking me from talking to you. Noll we have to find out what it is. We have never been blocked from each other. From the second I died, I have tried. Especially once you got to Japan. That isn't normal."

"Right. While Mai trains with Masaharu, I will have a friend of ours Yasu look into what could block someone from speaking with the dead in dreams and what not. If it is out there he will be able to find it." But when Gene just glared, Naru blinked. "What?"

"Not just blocking like that. What can break the connection that a twin has. Our connection is different because of being twins. He has to look things like that up or he won't find anything that could be it at all." Taking a deep breath, Gene sighed as he softened his eyes and kept them with his brother. "It was great talking to you brother. Until Mai is old enough to leave Japan on her own, I won't be going anywhere and will always be there to help you all. And her."

Gasping as his eyes went wide, it hadn't been an hour yet. Maybe half of it. "You are leaving now? He said we have….."

Shaking his head as he sighed, Gene never lost his smile. "Whether it is now or in another thirty minutes you still wouldn't want me to step out of Masaharu. But don't worry. I won't be going anywhere any time soon. I promise. I know you never really said it, but I know you did. I love you brother. And give Mother and Father my love when you talk to them next." Then he closed his eyes as Masaharu's body went limp again and then he stepped out. With a smile down for Masaharu when he turned his light blue eyes up to him. "Thank you Masaharu. There next to you is a talisman and the incantation for Miss Hara to prove to her what is going on. It will send her guides far enough away the barrier will fall. Tomorrow though."

"Right." Turning back to everyone else, Masaharu laughed. "Well now that is over." Turning to look right at Mai, he winked. "First thing tomorrow morning we deal with princess over there and then you and I get started. The first thing you have to do is learn how to use what you can do already to help you and protect you. We will start with what could be the most dangerous. Spiritual Teleportation. Sound good?"

Laughing as she gave a sharp nod, Mai smiled. "Sounds great to me."
