Ready for a blast from the past? This is it. My first finale! A dark, gritty one but one I'd planned since the beginning. As for the long update, besides over twenty hours of work on top of school, this chapter, as I knew it would be, is extremely difficult. I changed the beginning alone (Naruto's Wakening) more than four times. Deleted more scenes than any other chapter (Again, Naruto's Wakening), and fought to death with the entire main episode of it in general before splitting it into separate parts because of word length. Yes, the FINALE is still being worked on. You can either read the first part now, or wait Kami knows how long for the next two or three parts.

I do not own or take credit for Shogi Duel Poem (that I for the life of me couldn't find the original source for) or the lyrics.

A GAME OF SHOGI/ TO START A WAR

PART THE FINAL I

_-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-_

Regret.

Ninja stars littered the ground like salt spilled from a shaker. Blood flowed through the streets like rushing rivers. Under the onslaught, he watched the rivulets rush, salty drops running down his own face from the scene. A sharp voice filled his ears: "How many people have to die before you see the truth?"

Speechless, he blinked. His thoughts consuming him: Would less people of had to died if I'd just given Kurama my life? Would I still have hurt her? Good god, would he still have died?

How the fuck had he gotten to this point? How had the world? He did not know. Perhaps he would never know. He only knew that everything had to change or else, now, right now…

He was going to die.

FINALE-A Game of Shogi I

I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies

I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife

Hozier

_-xXx-_

His smile was always wide, and shoulders strong. When he laughed the whole world seemed to stop to listen. His words had the mystic power to strike fire in the soul and gut, and when not caught up by the sins of incontinence, the gallant sage was the greatest man on earth. Or at least to that little orphan. He, that foreigner, was the world, his spark of confidence, courage, and strength. His example of kindness and patience as the harsh rain fell down on them.

"When people get hurt, they learn to hate…" the old man spoke, looking across the wet earth where only hours ago that morbid accidental scene had marred the ground. There was no chastisement in his eyes as the orphan had expected there to be. Instead...understanding. "When people hurt others, they become hated and racked with guilt," he said. "But knowing that pain allows people to be kind. Pain allows people to grow…" He smiled, his hand rubbing the top of the orphan's red hair. "And how you grow is up to you."

Later Sensei would eat a bowl of ramen and they would speak again, the sage and orphan. All the preceded events and the following: the partings and meetings, the turmoils of war and smiles, and that bowl of ramen. These, the orphan learned, were the Yin and Yang of this world, Joy and Misery.

But in the end what did it all amount to when pain still ruled cruelly? Its deeds without mercy?

His eyes flicked open, revealing in them the very mark of the Sage of Six Paths, several ripple-like patterns. Ripples that would change the world. He was, after all, god.

And the time of Reckoning had come.

He sees him, sitting on the steps to an old shrine and nearly licks his lips with anticipation for another day of discipleship. Excited, the boy leans in. Will there be a new move to be learned today? Or better yet, a popsicle?

He doen't get either. The sage only smiles thoughtfully, and speaks to him as though he is an adult, yet the elder's voice is filled with hope and his all-knowing eyes are bright, contrasting warmly to his aged skin.

"Hatred is spreading," he says. "I wanted to do something about it…but I just don't know what. But, I believe…that someday—"

Lightning crashed loudly. Cracking. Interupting.

An old voice rang in his mind: "Jiraiya-chan died in battle."

Naruto blinked, awake, jolted as if he had been stabbed. And winced. Holy—fucking blinding! He squeezed his eyes shut.

Was that light? Nah. No light. Just black. Endless damn black, and in that perpectual black….

That shrine. That boy. That sensei. He knew them all too well. Nothing but conjurings of a dream long passed. Of all things…

He registered the following pain—the heavy tingling sensation at his wrists that rattled and the throbbing in his head and chest—as signs that he was alive. But Jiraiya…He groaned. Had to burry it, focus; memory lane was a dangerous path to tread…Focus. Danger, danger…focus. Focus.

Leaving the zone of his emotions and memories, he noticed how his body was stiff as stone. Worn, heavy, and his mind befuddled like it had too much of the wrong kind of drink. Or medication. That's it. Drugs, he decided. He'd been through this a few times, waking up from a drugged sleep. It was a familiar feeling, but this time had to top the cake. My body and my head…It feels like it's been for a while, like more than twenty-four hours.

Ugh. His body. The ground he was laying on was still the hard, cold and smooth surface of cement. But this cement was colder than usual. The atmosphere crisp. There seemed to be a draft, carrying in fresh but harsh air somewhere nearby.

If there's a draft then that means there's an exit…And this really ain't that cell. So, where am I now? And…everyone else?

He could hear flies buzzing around him, but their noises sounded distorted in his ears, all echoey and distant. Flies? In such a dead place? If there're flies surely there's food for them somewhere other than me.

Besides the flies, he couldn't hear anything else. Well, not really. Thunder? Was that what that rumbling was? Or was that just his stomach? Kami knows he was hungry as hell. Still, the rumbling seemed…loud and quick, like a giant snap of some sort. Who knew? He'd slumbered so long in that hell of nothingness; it was hard deciefering anything anymore.

It's probaly just Kabuto doing some freaky experiment.

Taking a deep breath, he forced his eyelids open. Fluorescent squares flickered on the dirtied ashen space above him. Lights? Lights. When was the last time he had even seen light? Or anything for that matter?

I can…see. Why can I see? Had He not kept him blind? Why the change? In fact, where was that bastard Obito?

Moaning, Naruto looked around, above him, to the side. He was in a dark chamber of sorts. It had a modern feel to it, but not the clinical kind that the rest of the hideout had been. The area of it was about the size of his small apartment. It was completely empty. Or at least it seemed to be. His sight was still too blurry, making images distort. He couldn't even focus enough to tell where that exit was or even if someone else was there with him, which he had the suspicion there was.

It felt like someone was watching him…A presence…but then again he had felt that way since being blinded. Still, this was different. Or was it really not and just his mind playing tricks on him? Mhm. He had to think….

A voice called out, distracting him. He couldn't understand it. So foggy…'Yooorooalllnaruuu, aaaeeuuuu.'

...

After a moment of gritting his teeth, his insides writhing in a painful concentraion, that echoing voice became clearer as if a veil had been lifted from it, saying to him, 'You're not alone, Naruto'

Oh yeah. Kurama. Dear old Kurama.

He tried to school his worry, and focused his voice towards Kurama, saying telepathocilly, 'Describe their chakra.'

'Pain.'

'Pain…huh?' He stared blankly. Not Obito…

'Naruto I sense...Well, as a Bijuu, any sense of premonition I get needs to be heeded. Something's about to happen Naruto...'

He closedhis eyes and exhaled slowly.'I have the same feeling...But Kurama, tell me, why am I here—and where is this exactly? What's going on?'

'I wish I could tell you but the drug affected me too.'

Drug? Pain's drug. That's right. It was coming back to him. Pain had started dragging him away and then there was that cloth he shoved to his face….

'So he drugged me. Why? Was it to prevent me from knowing something, or to silence me to avoid Obito's detection?'

'Both make sense,' the fox replied sagely. Unlike Naruto he had his bearings better. How ironic it was that in these turn of events, what once drove Naruto into a frenzy of consequenless anger was now becoming his voice of guidence. Part of him didn't mind this transistion either. 'Because your slumber you're left clueless to your current location. Then the latter with Obito. Recall how he had requested Obito leave the two of you alone?'

Again Naruto felt the question, why? burn deeply in his mind. Something about this just felt…wrong.

As if on cue, he heard footsteps. Heavy. Adult. Involuntarily, his fingers twitched as he mentally braced himself for whatever storm or furry was coming. Unable to stand just yet, he managed to sit up just as a Pain stood before him. So, Naruto thought, he was watching me. Waiting for me to regain consciousness…

"You're awake."

It was a simple statement but something in that dark, low voice made him feel uneasy. Eyes narrowing, Naruto glanced up. This one was huge. A square chin sat below thick lips and a triangle shape of piercings. Long spikes protruded from its ears. This one…Ah, he remembered, it was the one Pain, or rather, Nagato used to restore his other Pains when they were felled.

Naruto tried to speak but was interrupted. There was a kick from behind him, sending vibrations of stinging pain up his spinal column. Ouch.

"Get up." A callous command…

"How about you give me a second, A-hole," he growled, turning his head. "Especially since it's your drug that's making me slow."

The kicker was tall. It didn't have as many piercings as the other. Just two bulky pieces in each cheek, and a short, thick rod stuck diagonally in the nose. Naruto couldn't tell if its ears were given the same treatment because its long hair hung down, covering them. The face was softer than the big one's was, and thin, but still, the way its Rinnegan eyes glared down at him….

Something's wrong here. Pain's never looked at me like this. Or just randomly hurt me either.

In fact, he could think of the numerous times the man's words suggested a grim kind of respect towards him, even:

"Uzumaki Naruto, I have out of consideration of your entire situation, and in respect for Jiraiya-sensei, permitted you slack but I will not permit you to cross certain lines…I could have you completely confined until the Hachibi arrives but I've chosen not to…" (Even Obito's words in the first hideout confirmed this— "I don't know what Pain was thinking by granting you Deidara's room.")

And, "I can see a lot of him in you. Were circumstances different you really might have grown into a warrior even vaster in skills than Jiraiya-sensei…"

"You can't change the rules of the game, only break them and be known as a traitor. This is a mercy…Namikaze. Only by death are you free from the chains of war. Now then, this is goodbye."

And the last thing he had said to him, when Nagato had looked closely at his scar that Obito had given him: "You remind me very much of a friend. And, like him, you…You're the sort who puts his dreams above even your Hokage and village's dictations. You never had the capacity to put your village first because your dreams are none other than for the village itself. That is your Will of Fire."

But now, his attitude, his tone, it was producing a negative air. One that made a chill slither down his spine. It was almost like they were different to eachother now. Was this killing intent?

On that thought, Naruto felt compelled to start talking before anything else happened. Pain was the reason he came back after all. "Pain—I mean Nagato, the man in the mask's—"

"Get up."

"Listen! There's only one person who can stop—"

"I said get up." The voice was harsh as ice and Naruto shuddered when the shing sound of a rod followed. The huge Pain held it gripped tightly in his hand.

When Naruto didn't comply with the command—not that they gave him any time to—saying, "Nagato, he's just using y—" the huge Naraka Path wrenched him up by his shirt, thick fingers curling onto the bloodstained fabric like iron claws. Naruto let out a hiss as his feet hit the cold floor. "I'm trying to tell you something important."

Had he not managed to duck his head in time the following backhand would have surely popped his jaw. The Pain glared as its hand fell to its side. Naruto raised his head, the surprise attempt-to-strike and jolt having revived some of his weary senses. "I'm tired of being manhandled," he spat. "I'd expect that from that bastard, not you."

"Move."

Seriously? Why wouldn't he listen to him?! The Naraka's cold hand wrapped around his arm and began pulling him, leading him to a door he headn't seen before. Or at least it tried to lead him. Knees and joints weak from lack of use Naruto tumbled to the floor. A fit of coughing took over, rendering his body boneless as each cough punched at his lung and scraped his throat raw. He tasted blood and grimaced as it spewed from his throat.

The blood, he couldn't stand it. It was all over him, chipped and peeling from his face, from the knife wound on his shoulder—it still had yet to be cared for. Judging by the pain, it was infected. He needed medical aid, and soon. Kakashi had been right. He was sick. And in this condition, both external and internal, he didn't have long...

He had to get out of here and get the seal off. Pronto, or else he would die. But first...

He glanced at the huge Pain as the fit ended, his lips parted, and panting for breath. The corpse stared at him cruely, no compassion or anything in its eyes. Absolutely nothing but a glare filled with a dangerous edge. Casting his look back down, Naruto pushed his knees under him in perperation to stand. Oh. The world was spinning, his conciousness ebbing…A rumbling, shaking the world again. Ugh. Why was moving so painfully difficult?! Stupid question. Hunger, blood loss, infection, previous sensory deprivation and lack of using limbs, etc. List's long.

As the duo of Pains waited for him to stand, thoughts continued to buzz in his head hotly. Still, why did Pain separate himself and me from Obito like that? Does he know? He has to. He has to know Obito's a liar by now! Nagato himself saw my scar. I couldn't have done that to myself, and he knows it, and having seen it, he now knows Obito is rash and lied to him. And if he's lied to him once, why not on other occasions, too? It's impossible for Nagato to trust him anymore…I made sure he wouldn't trust Obito so why am I being treated like this still? What's he want from me?

"Nagato," he whispered, motioning towards his shackled wrists. "All right. I'll go with you…" If I fake cooperation, it'll be easier to find that exit or at least learn where I am for later…"But you need to these off me now."

The Human Path shook its head 'no.'

"What the fuck!?" he exclaimed, his fists clenching under the buckled restraints. "What do you want from me?!"

"The same thing I always have."

As he had earlier, the bigger of the two Pains forcibly pulled him up. Naruto gritted his teeth as his shoulder seared from the pull. His body wasn't in the shape for this. But, he'd walk. He would rather walk than be drug. He had a feeling Pain would resort to it. And judging by Pain's tone, he knew he was right as the corpse said the following, "There is something you will see, and you will not be trouble."

Led by a mechanical grip, each step a painful accomplishment, they reached a corridor. The number of buzzing flies increased. And that certain smell. Dried patches of blood stained the walls and deep cracks rendered it a disaster site. Naruto stared, captivated by its grim mysteriousness. Such an atmosphere here, so strong it felt like a tangible force, clenching his insides, suffocating… Something… What was this feeling? What was this place?

Kurama's voice echoed from withinside him. 'Naruto, I sense that horrid contraption here.

Naruto didn't have to ask what "that horrid contraption" was. He swallowed. Was this a new hideout then? A hideout where that horrid man was waiting for him?

'And what of the others?'

'I'm still trying to reach them again. It will take me awhile.'

'Well make sure you do. If something ends up going down…'

'Just do your thing, Naruto.'

He nodded. Yeah. His thing. "Nagato," he said. "You have to listen to me! That guy's just using you! He's not even Madara, I know because I saw his face. You have to revi—"

"Shut up."

"No! That poser has different plans for the statue and you have to bring back—"

His words were cut short. He didn't even see it or how, but there was a sudden movement of one of the black-cloaked arms and he flinched, and when he did, closing his eyes, that arm, its hand, had something over his mouth, gagging him.

"I'm tired of your words," the tallest Pain spoke, as he tied the end off. "Your childish ramblings and excuses end now."

Kurama cursed and Naruto instinctively squirmed against Pain's grip and the gag, but was only rewarded with a harder clutch, his cries muffled.

"You're going to shut up and listen to what I have to say," a new voice said from behind him. He jerked his head around to see this new speaker. A child was standing in the hallway, holding a rod in his small hands. Dark piercings dotted his death-pale face. The equally dark, sadistic cloak covered the rest of his body. Thos red clouds…Pain. A new one…Oh yeah, it must be the replacement to the Asura Path I destroyed that one time.

Naruto narrowed his eyes. Three Pains. This was not good. He glanced around. All of them but the Naraka that was holding and leading him had their eyes locked on him so intensely he couldn't stop the fear from leaking into his being like the ever-present and annoying leak had back in the solitude.

Unsure of what else to do, his head drooped and he let himself be led. Led where? He didn't know. He only knew that he could hear something far outside, something they were getting closer to.

The sounds of rain falling and lightning ripping across the world.

_-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-_

The man sighed as he looked across the cloudy sky.

It was raining. So dreary, Pairotto thought. However, perhaps it will bring in some customers, needy to get out of the rain… Speaking of which, the oddball gang had just checked out. He forgot to check their rooms.

He happily sauntered through the halls, lighting his cigerete. The brodder and the girl's rooms were in perfect condition he noticed with glee, inhaling his nicotine. Good. Now for the other room. The fish guy's.

Glass shards littered the floor, the window was broken, the furniture, broken and cut up, and the carpet soaked with water…

"AAAAAAHHHH! DAAAAMIT! WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS FUCKING HAPPEN TO ME!?"

_-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-_

Under the pale moon's glow a cityscape gloomed, its towers piercing the sky like jagged swords, and the exterior of it marred by gory scenes.

His voice: "Do you want to know why I choose red clouds to don my organization's coats, host?"

Even if he could, Naruto didn't want to answer. Only point his face up towards the open sky, closing his eyes. Water ran down his face and body, taking the blood with it. It felt good, refreshing. And it felt terrible. The stench of rust was still there. The world, still there. He was afraid to open his eyes again. Afraid to see this world and its hellish darkness.

The extinct of it all was not something he was prepared for.

Only a few meters from him, a woman's arm clutched onto a child's body. The arm wasn't attached to anything. More bodies were in similar shapes. Men were in piles, fingers wrapped around weapons. Laid around like dead dogs. No laid with the dogs. Plenty of hounds had fallen prey to this enemy, too. It was an all out slaughter.

Lightning cracked across the sky, and thunder vibrated across the ground like an angry god. Naruto felt it to the morrow of his bones and shivered.

"I chose red clouds because in this shinobi world, blood falls like rain. Especially in my home, the Rain Here…" The voice paused before scoffing, "And you say you want peace. To want peace you have to first know war or else you're nothing but vain talk."

Naruto opened his eyes, shaking his head no, wishing to speak but unable to.

The child sneered, but its eyes bore sadness. "You, and sensei, you were all talk. Your dreams only dreams… And as for the masked-man, I know he's not to be trusted. Yahiko…Konan…They never trusted him. Regardless, he has helped greatly in my mission…but he has also risked it. To nearly throw away such a crucial piece, my piece, over emotions…Such foolishness. Tell me, what was death like, host? Was that the first time you felt true terrifying fear?"

Naruto looked down, and watched the drops of rain fall to the cold, wet ground. Creating small ripples.

Death. Kami. "Terrifying" summed it up poorly. No single word could describe it. No thousand, or ten-thousand.

The child continued, "That is almost what war is like, except the fear is never ending, and bigger. Imagine watching all your comrades fall around you. Just look at how many died or are dying around here right now, host."

If he looked out again at the scene, he would vomit. He fought the bile down, not wanting to choke.

"This is the truth about war. Shinobi speak of war as though it is a thing of glory and honor. Tell me, what is glorious about this? Where is the honor?"

His eyes flicked toward Naruto, reflecting anger now.

So this is why, Naruto thought. Pain brought me here, to his own village, to see his truth. But…

Eyes still glaring, the two bigger Pains pushed him forward. "Walk," one commanded gruffly.

Where's it taking me now? I don't want to see anymore…I mean…Who could ever do such a thing to this village?

As they pushed him along, the child continued to speak to him. "You were born in a so-called peaceful generation that refuses to acknowledge the tears of blood from other nations, so how can you claim you know anything? You hypocritical wretch."

A good distance away, he saw the main Pain glaring down at him from perch of the tallest tower. Nagato must be there…Faces poked out of the surface of the tower like an enigma, and the one the head Pain sat on held a pipe in its hand. Something about that face looked mocking, and unfitting to such a scene as this massacre.

Uneasily, Naruto let his eyes roam back to the ground as they walked along. Raining, the blood from the massacre ran down the streets in rivulets. Pain was pissed at him…for this? Why? Involuntarily, his eyes saw more people, and he heard the few survivors there were weeping. Their cries felt like a hammer to his heart. What could he say? Even if he wasn't being silenced he wouldn't be able to conjure the words.

He couldn't.

"I grew up in this scene. I lived it, two of your lifetimes, child. When I was a child myself I was forced to bury my own parents. And all this because your own village. They, and all those in power, started it. Yet you deem me a villain for wanting to stop bring peace?"

Naruto could no longer stand it! This guy had it all wrong! He squirmed again, trying to speak, to fight back, but Pain was just as persistent in his task.

'Dammit!' he cried, 'Why do they always resort to something like this!'

'Because you jabber too much.' The fox spoke offhandedly. 'Honestly, there have been a few times I would have loved to shut you up, too.'

'Oh come on! And seriously, I've a feeling Imma need some assistance soon…'

'I'm trying. Let me focus. It's…looking bad.'

Bringing his attention back to the outside, he kicked, screams muffled. His fighting was broken when he heard a quiet voice, singing. A man, he was standing outside what looked like some place of business, cradling an equally young woman. A dead woman. "The shape of black, contours of white. They look the same. They look alike…"

Naruto didn't know why but the pained voice had a siren-like spell on him. He listened carefully in a tired daze as he was pushed forward, somewhere, he didn't know where. The man's wails were loud yet…

"Which side is which? We can tell. By where they point. To Heaven or Hell."

Pain carried him across a small body of water. Broken up cement dotted it. As the Asura dropped him to the ground, the grieving man's voice sung: "Black points one way. White the other. Opposite sides facing each other…"

Laying on the broken ground, he felt numb. Speechless.

Who? Why?

As if to answer is silent questions, the child bent down near him. "You want to know what happened here. You want to know who slaughtered these people, and destroyed their homes in such a bloody rage."

He nodded.

"I think, host, you're not that stupid. I think you know already. And if not I underestimated your stupidity."

He shook his head violently. He knew what Nagato was trying to imply and he was wrong! Konoha would never!

But Danzo would, a voice inside him argued. Danzo only cares about cold hard victory, never taking feelings into consideration, or humane limits…

No…My people wouldn't listen to such commands…even if he is the Hokage, they wouldn't kill the innocents…Fuck! The entire Rain village is fucking innocent! They have nothing to do with me!

Pain began undoing the gag. "If you're going to speak, do so now, now that you have heard and seen my truth."

There was hardly anything he could deny, so he found himself whispering, "Why? Why am I here?"

"This is that place which you asked of me of."

Naruto blinked, wondering what Pain meant. The place he asked him of? What was here but blood and broken concrete? Such huge cracks…As if a huge blast of some sort broke up the ground here.

A huge blast.

Like one from the Asura Path's rocket…

As if to answer him, memories brought whispers of the past:

"In all my time of fighting only two people have been able to resist my rods; it renders one under my control but…"

"He was the first, wasn't he? It must have been a hell of a fight…I know it's a long shot but…can I visit his resting place?"

He knew what this place was.

It was where Jiraiya was slaughtered.

Jiraiya was dead here. Had fallen, fighting to the end.

Pointlessly, maybe.

Looking at the broken rock, seeing the harsh waves beat across it in the night light, he could not stop his sharp intake of breath or cry from breaking loose.

Here….Jiraiya….He was here, dead.

Unreachable in the dark depths. Alone, for eternity.

Seeing the ground, trying to imagine the horror of that scene, the cruelty, everything that had built up in Naruto, all his grief, just suddenly cracked and broke out in sobs. Jiraiya. Konoha. The pain, everything. He just cried. The people here, the death.

Cruelly Pain continued his vent from behind him: "Sensei was genuine in his concern for peace but he was still a fool. What peace did his ways bring Naruto? Nothing. It's brought nothing to show for his tries. His life was therefore essentially worthless in the end, his dream, and ninja way."

"SHUT UP!"

"Why must you still cling to such a dogma?"

"I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

"How many people have to die before you see the truth?"

Naruto shook his head, screaming, "Stop it already! What more do you want of me!?"

The child snarled, "I want submission and peace! For you to stand down and just accept the pain and grow up or die!"

"Never! Your way is still as much shit now as it was then!"

"So be it."

Something smacked into him, a small projectile. It was his black band, the symbol of the Leaf etched proudly into a metal plate… Gasping, he lurched for it before it could sink in the water. Grabbing it like it was his life, though awkwardly so with his chained hands. His band! After all this time!

"I'll return it to you once the ritual is complete," Pain had said.

His sigh of relief was cut short when a sound came from behind him. The sound of the gun-like weapon of Pain's sliding into place and roaring to life.

Not even a second later, two pairs of hands were around his arms, forcing him to his knees.

"You are the reason this happened," the corpse child said. "Over five-thousand lives, you fucking dog. Men, woman, children, and babes, my people. My village. You are not worth it. Not worth all these lives with your chaos."

"So," he whispered, feeling the chain attached the cuffs stick fast to the ground as one of the Pains fastened him into place, regardless his squirms. So he sat, his back to the child, and his hands shackled behind him and to the ground like a fucking leash. He didn't even so much as blink as he said the following numbly, "You're going to kill me."

Somewhere, that singing voice: "First move by black, sente of night…"

He was no longer a captured tool, but Pain's prisoner of war, facing execution.

Naruto scoffed. "And you can't blame me for this! I would never agree with this-it's fucking Danzo's doing. And yours'. This would have never happened if you'd left me and Konoha alone!"

Pain bashed his head with the weaponized arm. Blood splattered to the ground, only to swirl away in the rain puddles.

"This is your Hokage's doing! The Hokage is like the King, remember, and you its subject. And like a pawn, you stayed stuck fast to your Village's side. If roles had been switched and you weren't the Jinchuuriki you would have still killed what your King ordered, because that's what a Pawn does. But roles aren't switched. You can't change your fate, or what you are. And if you, the Jinchuuriki, had just submitted to the Gedo I wouldn't have had to capture you.

"I would rather catch the Kyuubi when it's reborn than let this continue. This is my justice. You will die the same death as our sensei. Die knowing your death will bring peace, and that my village is worth far more than a piece of shit Pawn like you."

The weapon pressed against the back of his head.

Aiming to blow his brains out.

Fist clenching under their relentless restraints, its chain clinking, he closed his eyes.

Everything had to change or else, now, right now…

He was going to die….

"Now it's White's turn, Gote of light."
