A/N: sorry doesn't even begin to cut it. It has been over three months since I even had the time to think about writing. I found out that I got into med school, and then there was studying for exams, and getting ready for prom, which is on Saturday, and I was so stressed that I simply didn't have any muse whatsoever. I am now officially done with education until September, so I most definitely will be writing so much more. I have just written out a chapter plan, and this looks like it's going to be roughly 75-80 chapters, so you won't be getting rid of me that easy. I also want to inform you, that I will now also be uploading this story to archiveofourown (I will keep you posted on that) AND I have made a Tumblr for my fanfiction account and this story. It is: .com, remember to replace the.'s with actual .'s haha. Let's rejoin the happy couple shall we?

I sat in my chair at the long dining room table, with Spencer on my left and Diana on my right. Rossi was at the head of the table, carving turkey and dishing it out onto the large, empty plates.
I knew that Thanksgiving was basically a second Christmas, but I really didn't expect there to be this much food; there was the turkey, the stuffing, like six different kinds of potatoes, yams, vegetables, sauces, gravies, AND there was desert too!
I took my plate, laden with turkey, back from Rossi and began spooning mashed potatoes onto it.
The table, which was at one point filled with conversation and laughter, was taken over by silence as everyone ate. It was a comfortable silence, the kind that normally accompanies large amounts of good food.
After a while, Rossi spoke, "Well, this food is delicious, I would like to thank all the ladies for their help, and all the men for agreeing to do the dishes, now, as per tradition, we each go around the table, and say what we are thankful for. I'll go first. I'm thankful for the good food in front of us, my health, the health of others, that we are all here together, as a family." He said, raising his glass and taking a sip.
It progressed round the table, most of the things we were thankful for were pretty generic: love, family, health (though Morgan was grateful for his abs of steel), then it came to me.
I cleared my throat, "I honestly can't put into words everything that I am thankful for. This year has been so crazy, and so many things have happened. I'm thankful for my life and my health, which only too recently came under scare, i'm thankful for my family, even though I miss them every day. I am thankful for everyone at this table, for bringing me into your family, and holding me together when I nearly fell apart. I'm also thankful for Spencer, for loving me unconditionally, even when I don't deserve it." I said, raising my glass of wine as the others had, and taking a sip.
It was Spencer's turn, "i'm thankful for a lot of things too: my health, my family, both my biological one and the one I have found in this team. But most of all, i'm thankful for Amelia. She is the embodiment of good, and she makes me a better man, and with her, my future will always be bright." He said quietly, drinking his wine.
I nearly cried; it was the most affectionate and romantic that Spencer had ever gotten in such a public place. I normally never got to see this side of him unless we were alone, or in a very secluded place. I reached under the table and squeezed his knee.
Garcia smacked Morgan's leg, "How come you're never that sweet to me?"
And with that, the conversation began to flow freely around the table once again.
Soon enough, I had eaten twice, if not three times, my body weight in food. If I ate any more, I'd probably go into a food coma.
The gents had gone off to do the dishes, whilst we cooks lay on the sofas, trying not to move.
"Amelia, what time is your flight tomorrow?" Garcia asked sleepily; a combination of wine and turkey.
"Midday, why?" I replied, shifting to reach for my wine.
"Do you want to go Black Friday Shopping with me? We would need to be at the mall for 5."
"Sure." I mumbled sleepily, before finally succumbing to the food induced nap that I had been resisting.

The dishes were done, all the leftovers covered and put into the fridge, now for some quality time with my girlfriend . . . who was asleep in a food coma on the couch.
She stirred when I sat down next to her, and I felt her snuggle into my side as I wrapped my arm around her.
"I'm going shopping tomorrow morning early with Garcia." She informed me with a yawn.
"How early is early?" I asked
"Need to be at the mall for five, so I'll be up at four." She added.
"So what time do you want to go to bed at? 10?" I asked, rubbing circles onto her knee.
She nodded, "Don't worry we'll be back by 10.30 so we can get to the airport by 11."
The evening passed in the same sort of fashion, wine and conversation flowed freely, and Rossi offered to host us all for Christmas, as we all had to remain in the state over the holiday period.
Amelia fell asleep at around 9.30. I let her sleep on, eventually carrying her to bed when I went up. All of our bags were packed for tomorrow, and I set Amelia onto our bed, helping change her into one of my T-Shirts for bed. She didn't wake the whole time, which wasn't surprising; what with the nightmare in the middle of the night and getting up early to help with the cooking. Well, that, and eating all the food. I set the alarm for 4am, tucking her into bed and falling asleep next to her within seconds; it had been a long day for us both.
A/N: I hope that was ok, please tell me your thoughts, and follow the tumblr I have made. See you soon!
