"Warden Joker, here-"
"What the hell is that?" The guards asked. Evelyn's eyes went wide.
"Warden Joker?" Evelyn demanded, turning to look at one of them. "What the hell does that mean?"
"I don't know," one of them surprisingly answered. They continued down the hallway but stopped when they saw a group of inmates. Luckily they hadn't been noticed. They could just slip away undetected and bring her back to her nice, safe cell.
"Inmates-"
Or not.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" One of the loose inmates sneered. They walked over to Evelyn and the guards. "Transporting another loony, huh?" He aimed a punch for Evelyn but she ducked and moved behind the guards. An all out brawl began.
Evelyn watch as the guards were continuously beaten before looking around for something, anything to keep her safe, seeing as more than likely the Blackgate inmates would kill them. She quietly picked up a knife before deciding to turn tail and run off. She wove her way through the maze of hallways before finally reaching what she guessed was pacification as she saw an electro-shock chair.
The person in the chair made her stop, her blood running cold.
"Victor?" She whispered. His wide, angry eyes whipped around before they landed on her. She took a step forward and the glint in his eyes softened. "Why are you in this?" She asked, rushing over to him.
"Get the patient!" Someone yelled. Evelyn turned and saw a guard running towards her. She took a deep breath in before darting to the side, pulling the hand with the knife up, and pushing it deep into their throat. Blood splattered her pale face, but she didn't care. She tried to pull the knife out, but couldn't manage to get it straight out. She wiggled it back and forth, getting blood spurted at her every time she moved it before finally getting the knife loose. By that time, another guard was upon her. She managed to protect her body from most of the blows before managing to grab their head by the helmet and slit their throat.
Only a doctor was left in the room.
Their doctor.
"Evelyn, please," Dr. Gretchen Whistler pleaded. She continued to beg the patient, but was getting nowhere. She had no choice but to run off.
Evelyn cleaned the knife off and looked down at the two bodies and then up at Victor still stuck in the electro-shock chair. She dropped the knife before rushing over and undoing the straps that kept him in. Victor immediately pulled her to him, holding her in his arms, his chin resting on her head.
"My Evelyn," he whispered.
"Now isn't that precious?" The clown's voice came over the intercom.
"So romantic. True love," They could hear Harley sigh in the background.
"Loonies and Madmen, I present Mr. and Mrs. Zsasz," the Joker cackled. The intercom cut out.
Evelyn looked over at the knife by the bodies and went over and picked it up. She looked over at Victor before slowly walking back towards him. She cut off the sleeve of her uniform before looking up at him again. She held the knife by the blade and handed the hilt to Victor.
"Two," she whispered quietly. Victor took the knife in one hand and gently took her bicep in his hand.
He lowered the blade to her skin.
Evelyn hissed in pain.
One.
He moved the blade to a spot right beside the cut.
Evelyn whimpered.
Two.
Zsasz lowered his lips to the two cuts and kissed them, the blood smearing on her arm and his lips.
Evelyn took his head in her hands and pushed her lips to his. Zsasz dropped the knife and grabbed her hips, pulling her even closer to him.
One of her hands slipped down and she wrapped the arm attached around his neck. She wished he still had his hair so she could thread her fingers through it and play with the ends, but the Asylum doctors had shaved his head when he was captured.
The intercom turned back on and Joker cackled through. "Oh, look, I didn't know we had The Inmate Mating Channel at Arkham!"
Evelyn rolled from her back to her side and watched as Victor fixed his uniform.
"Where do we go after this?" She asked, pushing her hair out of her face.
"Anywhere. We can escape the island by boats, get to the harbor, and Gotham," he told her. He handed her the bottoms to her uniform and she stood and shimmied them on before pulling on the Asylum Issued shoes.
"So we have to get to Arkham West?"
"Yes."
"Let's go, then."
A/N:
NOTE TO EVERYBODY THIS IS IMPORTANT:
The next time the story is updated, I am changing the name, as I feel "Stitches" no longer fits the story...I am also doing a reboot of the cover. You should still be able to find it by searching for Stitches, as I will include the word in the description, however the new title and image work far better for the direction the story is taking. Also, I'm thinking about doing an AU version of the story where Evelyn ends up as a penguin henchgirl and NOT with Zsasz. I noticed I left little bits and pieces that could have been good points of her being a penguin hench, so I'm just wondering how many, if any at all, of you would be interested in that. At the demands of my sister it also may or may not be a romance story between Evelyn and (blechhh) Harvey Bullock.
Alright, so for the next update if you get an email saying "Liberate" has been updated, that would be this story, just a new/better name that fits more, oui?
The new cover is pretty kicky too.
Might just give the description a reboot too. Yup, that's on the list as well, but I'll do that later.
Oh, and I'm changing my pen name back to L.D. Eddy.
I know, I know, too many changes, but oh well.
Anywaaay, thank you for reading that, now here's the preview, hope you enjoy.
OH! P.s. Does anyone have any ideas for my story In The Crosshairs? It's a Deadshot/OC story, and the OC is a vigilante. Please help!
The next update should be anywhere between Sunday the 15th and Wednesday the 18th.
PREVIEW:
"Paging Dr. Zsasz, paging Dr. Zsasz," Joker's voice came over the intercom.
"What does he want?" Evelyn whispered. Victor shook his head.
"I'm not sure."
"Dr. Zsasz, we need you in the Botanical Gardens. One of your zombi- I mean, patients is getting out of control. He's just begging for you to kill him," Joker said. Evelyn looked up at Victor.
"Don't go," she said quietly. "We can leave the asylum, get into Gotham. We can liberate."
"If I don't go, who knows what the clown will do?" Victor said.
"Then I'll go with you," Evelyn said. Victor shook his head.
"If you were to get hurt, darling, I would-"
"I'd be safer with you," she said, placing her hand in his. He shook his head.
"Evelyn-"
"I'm going with you and that is final, Victor."

AssassinsCreedFAN:
HI! Welcome back to the wonderful brain of yours truly. SHH! SPOILERS! I haven't played BAO yet, but the game is on my Christmas wish list. I did google a picture of Eddie in BAO, and let me say, Nigma. If this wasn't a Zsasz fic, it would most definitely be a Riddler fic. I mean, I thought you were hot in Arkham City, but jeeesh...younger you must've broken a ton of hearts, you heartthrob. I would totally date you, Riddler.
Anywwaaaay, thanks for the review :)

I feel very inspired right now, full of cuddly feelings and warm fuzzies. You've gotta love proverbs and the like. Thanks for the advice. I hope to hear more from you!

Haha, cute psychos, I guess that fits them...it was nice to hear from you again, hope you enjoyed.
Bat-teen 28:
HI! Long time no write, or at least that's what it feels like. Anyway thank you for the enjoyment and I hope you liked this one as well.
SectumSemprae:
Yeah...I don't like Dr. Whistler. She's annoying and stupid in my eyes. Anyway, she's fine...for now MUAHAHAHAHAHA. In a way she is Mrs. Zsasz, but legally she isn't. That doesn't mean she won't be referred to as Mrs. Zsasz.
As for the cutting, I thought it would be more meaningful if he made her first marks just because he made her so...yeah.
Malkavian-Acts:
Hopefully I spelled that right. Anyway...ahem...I CONVERTED ANOTHER ONE! YAY! Anyway, this story is definitely continuing through all of the games Zsasz is in, so I hope *spoiler* you've played through Arkham City as well. It's probably going to continue on after AC as well. I'm so happy that I managed to make you want to read this story, since Zsasz annoyed you in the games. When I first played Arkham Asylum he annoyed me a bit, but after I left it alone for a while and then went back to it, he made a plot bunny that turned into a Novel Rabbit and here we all are! Enjoying the fruits of my delusional brain!
BYEEZZZZZ!
