Mid-afternoon at the Xavier school for gifted youngsters the New Mutants and the X-men come in the building glad that school was finally out. "Oh boy I thought summer vacation would never come." "You said it Rogue. Fun and sun here we come." "You sure you don't have telepathy tabitha ? Because you just read my mind." "Maybe I should get cheaked out about that Amara." The Girls all laughed at that little joke.
"So Kai what are you doing for your first summer vacation ?" "I Don't know Rahne-Chan ? I never had a break from school like this before." Suddenly the phone rings and Kai anwsers it. "Hello Xavier's school for gifted youngsters this is kai how may I help you."
"{Kai-chan is that you ?"} {"Mother ! I am sorry I haven't called or wrote to you or father. It's just been so busy here."} {"You don't have to say sorry Kai-Chan. I know you are busy with school and learning to control your powers. How are you doing with that ?"} {"I am doing fine with it mother. I don't blow toasters or dishwashers up anymore."} {"That's nice to hear Kai-Chan. Oh my before I forget your father and I were wondering if you could come home for a visit ?"}
{"It is summer vacation so I should be able to. I just have to tell Xavier-Sama if it's alright and Mother is it ok if Ryu-Chan,Pride-San and Rahne-Chan come over ?"} {"Of course Ryu-Chan can come over. your father didn't get to see him when he and Xavier-San came to get you. I hope you don't mind me asking this question but who are Pride-San and Rahne-Chan ?"}
Kai gets nervous about telling his mother but it's the polite thing to do. {"Well Pride-San is Ryu-Chan's girlfriend and Rahne-Chan is my girlfriend."} {"Oh my baby boy's all grown up."} Kai blushes when he hears this. {"Of course it's alright for you and Ryu-chan to bring them with you. So what are they like, what do they look like, what are they into ?"}
{Slow down mother I can only answer one question at a time. Pride-San is an american who's into dancing and shoping at malls. Rahne-Chan is from scotland and is a little shy about meeting new people she also is into dancing even though she gets nervous in a crowd."}
{"Pride-San has brown hair and brown eyes and Rahne-Chan has red hair and brown eyes"} {"Be careful Kai-Chan I always heard that red heads can have quite the temper."} Kasumi misuno says in a teasing tone of voice.
{"I know that one mother one of the other students dumped a bucket of wild garlic on her head and Rahne-Chan hit him hard. Oh yeah mother I mean no offence but please don't make anything with garlic in it when we're home Rahne-Chan is allergic to garlic even the fumes can get her sick."} {"Oh my thank you for telling me about that Kai-Chan don't worry I promise not to make anything with garlic in it."} {"Thank you mother I'll see you soon good bye."}
Kai hangs up the Phone just as Ryu enters the room. "So Kai-Chan who was that on the phone if you don't mind me asking ?" "It was my mother she was wondering if Pride-San, Rahne-Chan, you and I can come over for vacation." "I don't mind going I haven't seen auntie Kasumi since I came to get you and I haven't seen uncle Kenji since I was a child. We have to ask both Kitty and Rahne if they want to go."
Ryu and Kai find Kitty and Rahne studing Japanese. "Pride-San, Rahne-Chan ! Ryu-Chan and I were wondering if you would come with us to Japan to see my family ?" Rahne looks at Kai in shock "Your parents know we're mutants right ?" "I never told them you two were mutants however they know I am a mutant and that Ryu-Chan is a mutant and they know this is a school for mutants so they most likely know that our girlfriends are mutants too." "I hope your mother and father don't mind me being a werewolf or a wolf or that Kitty can walk through walls." "I think they would care more about the fact that I won't blow up the toaster or the dishwasher then about what you turn into Rahne-Chan."
"So when are they expecting us Kai-Chan ?" "Two weeks from tomorrow Ryu-Chan. that should give us enough time to pack and gather spending money." "I guess we can concider it a double date vacation." "So where in Japan does your family live Kai." "We live in Kyoto the religous city in Japan where there are many temples of worship. Some are hundreds of years old." "I remember when Ryu accompanied my family to Japan. We would have been lost without his help."
"Well I couldn't help but overhear that you were all planning to go to Japan." "That right Logan-San my mother wanted to see Ryu-Chan, Pride-San and Rahne-Chan." "Don't worry about plane tickets I'll take you guys on the blackbird." {"Thank you Logan-San."}
