A/N- I apologize for the short chapter. Unfortunately this isn't the fight chapter; I thought that character introductions were more important. I promise the next chapter will be the fight.

Pyrrha sat patiently waiting for them to arrive at their destination. Silence reigned over the airship, only slightly disturbed by the hum of the engines.

Pyrrha glanced nervously across the ship at team SDER. She had known the members of team SDER for quite a while; they had been a team even before they went to any academy. They were a team of mercenaries, and some of the best mercenaries at that. Despite their appearances and their odd interactions with one another, they were not to be taken lightly.

She looked cautiously at her brother and team leader of SDER. His hands trembled slightly, that wasn't good.

'He's noticed it too then…this isn't going to end well' she thought. 'If he's seen Jaune's potential too then there's no doubt in my mind he's going to be itching for a fight' Pyrrha was becoming more nervous by the second.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by the person sitting next to Silver. A short girl with a low blonde ponytail was fiddling with her guns and dropped some ammunition. She started scrambling about to pick up the bullets.

'Ether Calico' Pyrrha thought.

Her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail that flowed down to her waist. She wore a leather jacket with the sleeves rollout up to her elbows, underneath that she wore a crimson colored shirt. Short shorts and combat boots covered her lower half.

Despite her appearance that would make one think of Yang, she was a very shy girl. That was what Pyrrha found so charming about Ether was her kind nature and overall shy attitude. She was a perfect example of 'Don't judge a book by its cover' because of her prowess on the battlefield, having come from a family of mercenaries. She was a true prodigy when it came to handling guns. She could skillfully and accurately handle any type of gun from a bazooka to a water gun.

A tall muscular boy dressed in a gray hoodie bent down next to Ether and started picking up the bullets along with her. The boy wore black jeans, a gray hoodie that had the sleeves cut off at T-shirt length. Underneath the hoodie he wore chain mail armor. He also wore black combat boots with combat knives in each boot.

'And then you have Ether's best friend Raphael' Pyrrha thought.

Raphael was tall and built. His experience and skill made him the most dangerous person on team SDER. He used the traditional sword, shield, and bow and arrow. There was nothing special about these weapons but the fact that he was still the deadliest person on team SDER while using old and less effective weapons spoke volumes of just how talented he was. He hardly spoke a word and barely showed any emotion. He usually hid his face underneath his gray hoodie. To most people he was very intimidating; this resulted in him having very few friends. Pyrrha knew from firsthand experience in dealing with him that he was actually very gentle. He hardly ever used violence unless it was absolutely necessary. This earned him the title 'The Gentle Giant.'

Pyrrha looked over at the last member of team SDER. A boy dressed in a long black coat. Under that he wore a simple white T-shirt. He also wore blue jeans and purple slip on sneakers.

'David, the craziest and smartest out of the team'

David was the worst at combat amongst everyone on his team, but he more than made up for it with his genius intellect. He was able to perfectly analyze his opponent's abilities and fighting styles within mere minutes. He was also capable of adapting to any situation; he always remained calm and focused. He had a knack for fighting and seemed to love challenging new opponents.

David was also Silver's best friend and ultimate rival. They had a brotherly relationship, but would constantly fight. They cared for each other, but were extremely competitive down to the smallest and simplest thing.

'This battle isn't going to be easy. We're gonna need everyone performing at their best…and a lot of luck.'

The ship landed at their destination a couple minutes later and both teams exited the ship. Their location for fighting was a dense forest with enormously tall trees. Out of the corner of her eye she could see tiny flying cameras monitoring both teams.

The two teams were ordered to line up exactly 20 feet from each other.

Pyrrha glanced nervously at Jaune to see if his condition had gotten any better. He still had that same distant look from this morning. She did not like this situation one bit. Her thoughts were interrupted by the loud speakers of the dust plane that waited overhead

"LET THE FIRST ROUND OF THE ANNUAL VYTAL FESTIVAL TOURNAMENT…"
