Kingdom Hearts II: A Journey's End

Chapter 37: Kiru, my hero

Barbossa exited the hold and locked the door. He stared down at the crown with such a sick smile and twisted mind. He started walking away from the hold and was alone.

The teenager who saved Haruka twice was standing in the shadows. He grinded his teeth together and gripped onto his fist, so hard that it trembled with rage. How dare he do that to Haruka?

The silver haired boy composed himself and sighed. He walked out from the corner and was heading towards Barbossa who noticed him and stopped walking. The pirate took out his gun and aimed it at the boy.

"Who are you and what are you doing on board this ship?" He asked but the blindfolded teen didn't answer. He grabbed the gun away from the pirate and threw it over the ship. The hero started beating up Barbossa with his bare hands and the latter fell onto the ground unconscious.

The silver haired boy took the crown and looked at the ship next to the one he was on. He started sprinting and jumped off the ship. He glided in the air and landed on the Black Pearl.

Black Pearl's Hold…

"Why hello beautiful Princess." A pirate said and she opened her eyes only slightly.

"What are you doing here?" She asked quietly.

"Captain Barbossa said we could have fun with her highness." The 6 pirates laughed at this and Haruka gulped at this.

"No, leave me alone." She said weakly but couldn't move. Two of the pirates walked over to the Princess and started touching her body. Her breathing came out shaky as they tears fell down her cheeks and she cried/begged for them to stop.

They heard the door slammed closed and the pirates looked up to see the silver haired teen wearing a black coat. They got out their swords and guns and half of them started to attack him. But the blindfolded boy fought back.

"Let go of me, don't touch me!" She cried as the pirates harassed her, by stroking her skin, rubbing her body and kissing her neck and cheek. The Princess tried to push them away but her strength was decreasing by the second.

Haruka screamed with tears in her eyes and her saviour started to fight as much as he could. Even Sora who just got out of the hold heard her and gasped. He dashed out of the hold and met up with Serino who told him she was in trouble.

The blindfolded teen was punching kicking the pirates and shown no mercy on the ones that harassed the Princess. They all ran off and he locked the door so that no one could come in to hurt the red haired teen.

Haruka closed her eyes and tilted her head back against the wall. Her hero walked towards her and the tears fell down her cheeks. He kneeled down and placed his hand onto her cheek to find it wet.

"Haruka!" He shouted and he healed her with Curaga. She fluttered her eyelashes and opened her green eyes. The boy placed his gloved hands onto her ankles and she watched him use the darkness to open them. He did the same with her wrists. Once Haruka's wrists were free she rubbed them and looked up at the silver haired teen.

"You saved me." She mumbled quietly and he held her hands.

"I'll always be there to save you, Haruka." He said and placed his hand on Haruka's cheek. "Don't cry now. I'll protect you." She placed her hand on top of his with a woeful smile.

"Thank you so much, I don't know how to repay you." She said and he placed his finger onto her soft red lips. Her cheeks turned faint red at this.

"Please don't. You don't have to do anything to thank me." He took out her crown and carefully placed it onto her head. He pulled a few strands of hair behind her ear with a sweet smile. "Now, you look better now."

"Thanks." She giggled softly whilst blushing and his smile dropped.

"Haruka, can I ask you something?" He asked and she looked up at him.

"What is it?"

"Do…do you like me?" He asked shyly and Haruka couldn't help but smile at this.

"Of course I do…uhhh. What's your name?" She asked curiously and he paused at this. The red haired Princess crossed her arms with a smirk.

"Ummm…" The blindfolded hero slurred.

"Don't tell me you forgot your name." She said and he smiled as he shook his head.

"My name…my name is…" He gulped.

'Think of a name! Don't let her know who you are!' The boy said to himself internally.

"Are you even sure you have a name?" Haruka giggled and he was snapped out of daze.

"Yeah, my name is Kiru." He stated and she went quiet at this.

'I blew it.' He thought.

"Nice name, Kiru." She said with a smile and he internally sighed with relief. He took her hand and pulled her up. "Thanks again. But seriously Kiru, what can I do in return?" He placed her hands onto her shoulders.

"Let me hold you in my arms; that's all I want." He answered. She went quiet at this and thought about the boy she loved a year ago. The green eyed 16 year-old shook her head at this.

"Of course." She said and he wrapped his arms around her. Kiru held Haruka against him. She felt so calm so free, there wasn't anything to worry about at all. The Princess was at peace in the arms of her hero.

Slowly, Haruka wrapped her arms around Kiru's neck and they leaned closer to each other by accident. Their noses were touching and they blushed immensely at this.

Something crossed the Princess' mind and she wanted to ask.

"Kiru, why do you wear that blindfold?" She asked and he frowned as his grip tightened.

"There's so much darkness in my heart that you can see it through my eyes." He muttered and she rubbed his cheek with her thumb.

"Don't say that. I bet there's still light left in your heart. Don't worry; I'll be your light to guide you in darkness." Haruka said and he gasped at this.

He cupped her jaw and leaned closer to her. Kiru pressed his lips against hers in a remarkable, romantic, wonderful and enchanting kiss. Her bright emerald eyes fluttered and closed. The red haired Princess melted into the kiss and started kissing back. For some odd reason, she felt this lovely feeling in her heart whenever he was with her.

They pulled away for oxygen and the silver haired teen gulped.

"Uh, sorry about that…" He mumbled sheepishly but she smiled and shook her head at this.

"No, it's okay." She said and he smirked.

"What, did you enjoy it?" He asked smugly and she rolled her eyes at this.

"You're so cocky!" She giggled and he started to laugh too. She stopped and placed her hand onto her head. Haruka's head was throbbing with pain and she groaned quietly with pain. Kiru heard this and placed his gloved hands onto her cheeks.

"Are you okay, Haruka?" He asked concerned and she looked up at him.

"My head is aching." She squeaked.

"Hm, have you drunk anything bad lately?" Kiru asked.

"Well, I always drink a lot of water. I don't think that's bad." The blindfolded teen smirked internally; Haruka was never going to change. "Well, Captain Jack Sparrow gave me this thing to drink. It was in a bottle and smelt disgusting."

"What was it called?" The boy asked curiously.

"R-r-ru…" She tried to say but didn't know what it was called.

"Rum?" She snapped her fingers and smiled.

"Yup, that was the one!"

"How many bottles did you drink?" Haruka started counting slowly on her fingers.

"Uh, 2, 3 or 4 I think. The last thing I remember was drinking the rum." Tears fell down her cheek and she gasped. "What if I did something bad? What if I did something wrong or said something wrong and I don't remember it?!" She started panicking. Kiru felt the tears and shook his head.

"It's not your fault, you were under the influence of alcohol and you weren't in the right state of mind. We all make mistakes…" He said with a frown and remembered what he did to his precious girl a year ago.

"Kiru…" She mumbled and hugged him. Kiru hugged her back and kissed her forehead. They stayed like this for a few minutes. Haruka pulled away from him and looked at the door.

"Well, I have to go and look for Sora now. I bet he's waiting." She said and Kiru nodded. They started to make their way to the door, but Haruka felt a little bit dizzy. She fell to a side and Kiru wrapped his arms around her waist.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Y-yeah, just a little dizzy." She answered.

"Come on, I'll help you." He wrapped an arm around her waist and wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

Kiru kicked the door open and they got outside. Thankfully there were no pirates in site.

"I think I'm okay to walk now." She said and he kept his arm around her. He placed his hand on her cheek and stroked it lovingly. Sora ran onto the boat and hid behind a corner as he watched the pair.

"How you feeling now?" Kiru asked.

"I'm feeling better because of you." Haruka smiled and stared at him deeply with affection. Even if Kiru was wearing a blindfold, he stared at her face and knew that she was so beautiful.

They were leaning closer and she closed her eyes. For some odd reason, Kiru made her heart beat even faster and made her feel this strange feeling inside; she couldn't describe what it was.

'What is this feeling? Why am I feeling it towards Kiru?' She thought.

Sora watched the pair and he was slowly losing a little bit of control. His fists were trembling and tears were brimming in his eyes. He was upset that after all the things Haruka said and done to him, she would do this. And there was something fishy about this boy, about him always saving Haruka at the right time. The brown haired boy didn't like the fact that Haruka and her saviour have become so…close.

Kiru and Haruka's lips brushed and Sora was about to lose it. He stepped into the picture.

"Haruka!" He exclaimed and they pulled away from each other. The red haired teen looked at her friend with a grin but Kiru looked away with red cheeks.

"Sora!" She ran up to him and jumped on him with a huge bear hug. He hugged her back. "Man is it good to see you!" She giggled.

"Yeah." Sora mumbled with a small disappointed smile.

Kiru turned to them and frowned; they seemed so happy and he didn't want to ruin their happiness. He wanted both Sora and especially Haruka, to lead a peaceful life. He didn't' want to hurt them…again.

The silver haired boy turned around and the green eyed girl pulled away from her friend. She turned to her saviour.

"Wait!" She called out and he stopped walking. Haruka ran up to him and he turned to her. She swung her Keyblade, took the key ring off which looked like her necklace. The red haired Princess' weapon disappeared.

She took his hands and placed the key ring into his palms. Haruka kept hold of his hands and her thumbs rubbed his gloved hands.

"Take this. It will guide you in the darkness and the light will never fade away. I want you to remember something." She said.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Remember, that I'll always be with you even when I'm not. Just close your eyes, look into your heart and you'll see me there, okay?" Haruka smiled warmly and he instantly hugged her.

"Thank you, Princess." Kiru said and she blushed at this.

"You don't have to thank me." She mumbled.

He pulled away from her and kissed her cheek sweetly. Her cheeks turned red and she gulped at this. Kiru turned around and left in a Corridor of Darkness. Sora walked up to his friend's side and his eyebrows furrowed together.

"So he was the one who saved you all those times?" He asked but she shook her head at this.

"No Sora, he's Kiru, my hero." Haruka smiled dreamily.

Aw! So cute! I think most of you know who he is, but for those who don't the hero's name is an anagram of his real name. Please review and thanks so much for reading! Next chapter: Sora and Haruka get into an argument. Uh-oh!
