Sample 37 WolfEyer, moving in?
Yeas, for the last few days I have been reading anything I can for these two. I think I read everything I could with them. I just want to put something out there. Hope you all enjoy.
It was a quiet day in Zootopia and it was quickly turning into night. It wasn't anything to special that night but it was still a work night. Nadine was quietly reading a book on one side of her couch as Ralph was channel surfing on the other end.
'how did all this happen?' Nadine reads. 'how did all what happen?' 'you, me, us. I'm just realizing we've spent so much time together that we just slipped into each other life without noticing, and now I can't think of how my life with be out you in it.' Nadine didn't know what possessed her, but she looked over that Ralph. She was staring at him for a while, then looked back at her book, she looked up to Ralph, and her book, until her eyes widened. She sat up so quickly it started Ralph and dropped the remote.
"what, what's going on!" he said.
"when did this happen?!" she said.
"When did what happen?!"
"you, me, us! When did we move in together!?" she said.
Ralph calmed down a little. "what are you talking about? We haven't moved in together." He said.
"then what are you doing in my apartment, slumped over my couch like you've lived here the whole time." Nadine sated calming down a bit.
"what are you talking about, we're just hanging out." He said.
"yes or no, do you have cloth in my laundry hamper." She said remembering she bought a new one because it kept overflowing for the last few months, and washing Ralphs clothes more than once.
"Um, well?" he said.
"what about shampoo?" She said, also remembering she smelled weird one day after stepping out of the shower. And then everyone at the precinct snickering at her.
"Well, I mean." He said.
"toothbrush?" always think it was weird seeing two.
At this, Ralph blinked and then looked around, and several of his thinks where around the apartment.
"when did we move in together?!" he said with panic.
"that's what I was just asking you! Don't you have a place of your own?" she asked.
"of cores I do, I live…oh my gosh, all those texts from my family are starting to make so much sense now." Pulling out his phone, 'you can't miss movie night again, you already missed the last three months. You're barely home anymore, mom and dad are starting to worry.' 3 hours ago. "this isn't good."
"what?"
"Apparently, this has been going on for at least three months." He said not bothering saying anything to the text, knowing it's to later to go back home now. "I thought I just watched movies with them last week." he said.
Nadine looked down to see the book she was reading and that she was still on the page that made her think of all this. "maybe." She started, that got ralphs attention. "maybe, we've spent so much time together that we just slipped into each other life without noticing." She said.
"sure, looks that way." he said leaning back and resting his head on. "I should grab all my stuff after work and go back home."
"I think that would be best, I mean it not like we planned for this, it just happened." She said.
"right, I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable in your own home." He said. He then looked at the clock and saw the time. "well I think it's time for bed, don't want to be late for work." He chuckled nervously.
"right. We really don't want that." She said matching his chuckle. "well goodnight Ralph." She said walking
"night Nadine." He said. Right before she closed her door.
That night neither one of them slept at all.
The next day.
For Ralph, it felt like he actually did get some sleep, maybe half an hour, and pretty much before the sun rose. "why was it so hard to get to sleep last night?" he said, getting up. He then got up and turned on the coffeemaker. "hum?" he then realized he didn't have to look around to finding it. "when 'did' this happen?" he said then got two mugs and poured coffee into both of them.
"morning Ralph." He hard Nadine said from behind. Ralph looked back and when he looked he saw that Nadine was in nothing but her panties and a loose fitting shirt that was handing off one of her shoulder letting him know she was braless.
'has she always been like this every morning. No, don't think about that.' He thought and shaking his head. "morning Nadine." He said.
"I feel like I didn't sleep at all. You?" she asked.
"not really, I'm rested but not a wink of sleep." He said handing her a mug.
"thanks." She said. Went to the fridge and pulled out some creamer. "you want some?" she asked while holding it up.
"no, I think black will do it for me, just keep it out just in case." He said taking a set and drink his coffee, "pass it here."
"hum?" she said with a smug smile and passed it to him. "did you make anything for breakfast?" she asked.
"I was just about to scramble some eggs, cook up some turkey bacon." He said finishing off the rest of his coffee in one go. "wish you could do that." He said know about cat tongues.
Nadine stopped blowing on her coffee and stuck her tongue out to him. "when did you find out about that anyway?"
"hum?" he said putting the eggs in the pan, "I actually don't know." He said trying to remember. He said finishing with the eggs and moving onto the turkey bacon. "you know, this will be the last time we eat like this." He said frowning at the thought even though he doesn't even remember all that musk on times like this.
"Yeah, it's weird. I mean, I can't really remember, but I think we always had fun like this since you somehow moved in." she said, finally able to drink her coffee.
"probably, now let's eat before heading out. Because we won't have time to eat until noon or later, depending on how our shift goes." He said placing two plats on the table.
"or you trying and doing something with Nick again." She said.
Ralph smiled and started eating his food.
After going and coming back from their shift.
"that was the worst shift ever." Ralph said, walking into the apartment complex. He was cover in leaves and mud.
"remind me why we didn't go back to the station to wash up?" Nadine asked, also covered in leaves and mud.
"chief let us go home after rescuing the school bus full of children that ran off the road. Besides this place is closer than the precinct." He said.
"Well, thanks for the ride home." Said the bobcat that was also like them, but in a ZFD uniform. "I really need a shower."
"no problem Megan. I think we all need one." Said Nadine. "come on you two." She said walking up the stairs.
"wipe your paw before coming in her next time!" yelled the landlady.
"Sorry!" they all said.
In Nadine and 'Ralphs' apartment.
"you should take the first shower. I know how much you hate unkept fur." He said. Grabbing a towel and placing on the floor to sit on it.
"thanks. I just want to get all this out of fur." She said.
'you and me both!' Magen yelled throw the wall.
"well at least I know we're not the only ones suffering throw this." Nadine said.
'yeah, I'm surprised you and Ralph didn't want to shower together.' Magen said with a giggled.
"AH! We are not in that kind of relationship. He's just my partner." Nadine yelled.
'yes or no~' she sang. 'you two are living together.'
"AH!" Nadine started and got quiet. "it's complicated, we didn't find out until yesterday." She was finally getting the mud off of her.
'what do you mean, 'until yesterday'. He's been spending the night with you for that at least three months now. What have you been doing?'
"we don't know. Nothing." She said, slowing down on her washing. And just grabbed a shampoo without looking.
'oh, come on you had to have has done something besides that one night a few weeks ago. You two were so lively.' She said giggling. Nadine was blushing like mad. 'I mean, who argues about which side the toilet paper goes.' She laughed.
Nadine looked outside the shower to see the roll was under. "it goes over." She said, mostly to herself.
'you sure there's nothing going on between you two? Because that was old married couple arguing 101.'
"no." she said sounding dejected. "he just somehow moved in without either one of us knowing he did it. He said he's going to collect his stuff and move back to his old place." You could hear she wanted to say more.
'but?'
"I don't want him to go, and that he forgets about moving back." She said.
'because you love him.' Nadine didn't have to see throw wall to know that Magen was making a toothy grin at her.
Nadine was about to argue with her, but thought better. "more like how I love you." She said with a grin thinking she wan.
'aww! I love you too, will you marry me.' She said without hesitation.
"AAAHHH!" she was shocked she said that and not thinking, then she heard laughter, not just from the wall but from the door, "RALPH! Where you eavesdropping!"
"no, no. I was just walking by to see if you were almost out when I caught 'more like how I love you' and Megan with the comeback." He said still laughing. "anyways because you were taking so long, I thought I could get a head start on packing." She had a frown as she was rinsing off the bubbles.
"don't worry I'm almost out, just need to dry is all." Ralph did hear the sadness in her voice but thought against bring it up.
Once Ralph washed and packed his stuff.
"ok, I think I got everything. Got my shampoo all my clothing, and my toothbrush. Also, all my knickknacks." He said right next to the couch. Which Nadine and sitting in. "this is so weird. Moving out of a place that I never know I lived." He said.
"well if you want, you could stay one more night. You could put your bag in the trunk in the morning." She said.
"thanks for the offer, but I think its better this way." He said grabbing his bag. "and don't worry, I won't forget to stop by tomorrow to pick you up." He said with a smile.
Nadine got up to say goodbye to Ralph. Right as Ralph was opening the door, Magen tried to knock but ended up missing almost punching Ralph in the crotch, "Magen?"
"Oh, good you haven't left yet. I wanted to give you a going away present." She said holding out her paw waiting for Ralph stretch out his paw, when he did she dropped her gift., it was a key. "for if you ever want to come back feel free anytime." She smiled. Ralph looked at the key not knowing what to say. "oh, that's not my key. That Nadine's, see" she said. The key did have the number on it, and even a tiger pater in it.
"Hay! You can't give away my key like that!" she said.
"thanks Magen, I remember this." He said. "bye girls, have a good night." He said while walking away.
"night Ralph." They said.
I think I'll actually finish this one in a next or the one after I don't know? Or should I make this into a quick three-part story chapter. Let me know what you all think. Oh, man is it good to be back. Look out next week, back to the burrows next chapter. Nappy end of the year everyone, see you all next year.
