Chapter Thirty-Seven: Taking Back the Beach

Less than an hour later, Dipper, Gideon, Robbie, Tambry, Lee, Nate, and Thompson all stood at the edge of the forest, all seven of them armed.

Dipper peeked his head out of the trees and saw about ten of Bossman's guards watching all the ninety some kids lying on the beach.

Dipper pulled his head back in and turned around. "Okay, so there are about ten guards and all the kids are lying down, which means that we target anyone who is standing."

"Got it," Gideon said as he pulled the hood of his cloak over his head.

Dipper frowned. "Why are you doing that?"

"Because my face may not be too welcome amongst your friends," Gideon said. "I'm gonna need toy to back me up when I reveal myself."

Dipper sighed. "I can't promise anything."

Gideon turned on his voice modulator. "That's good enough for me."

"Alright, on the count of three, we all storm onto the beach," Robbie instructed. "One…two…three!"

The teens, Dipper, and Gideon charged out onto the beach.

As chaos broke out, Dipper steadily held the gun he'd been given and made sure that none of the guards attacked him. He really didn't want to use the gun unless he absolutely had to. But if he had to, he certainly wouldn't miss the target like last time.

However, he didn't have to worry about any of that, for all of the guards were defeated in just under three minutes.

Afterward, Dipper, Gideon (who still had his hood up), and the teens all regrouped in the middle of the beach.

"Good job everyone!" Gideon said. "Tambry, Lee, Nate, and Thompson, I need you four to take the bodies of the fallen guards off this beach. I don't care where you put them!"

The four teens did as they were told.

Suddenly, all the yacht kids surrounded Dipper, Robbie, and the still hooded Gideon.

"Dipper, you came back!" Wendy exclaimed. "With…Robbie?"

"Yeah, I'm not as pathetic as you think I am," Robbie said. "They wouldn't have been able to take down those guards if it wasn't for me."

"You barely did anything!" Gideon said. "I took out most of the guards! You barely defeated one!"

Marco crossed his arms. "Wait a second, who are you, hood guy?"

Gideon looked at Dipper.

"It's okay," Dipper said. "I'll back you up."

Gideon hesitated before turning off his voice modulator and pulled off his hood.

"You!" Marco shouted. "You're the whole reason we're in this mess!" He jumped forward to tackle Gideon, but was held back by Wendy and Mabel.

"Let go of me!" Marco growled.

"Not 'till you calm down!" Mabel said.

"Yeah, dude, you need to chill," Miranda said.

Marco stopped resisting against Mabel and Wendy.

Dipper smiled at Miranda and Mabel. "Thanks you two."

Miranda scowled. "Oh, I'm not done with you, yet! Why are you on his side?"

"Yeah, have you forgotten all the bad things he's done?" Mabel added.

"Look, I know Gideon has done some things in the past, but now, he's doing everything he can to right those wrongs!" Dipper argued.

""Then let him do it by himself!" Miranda said. "We shouldn't have to fix his problems."

"But those problems are too big for one person to handle," Dipper said. "You know that as much as I do, because those problems affect us too. If we work together, then I know we can defeat Bossman!"

Wendy scratched the back of her head. "I don't know how I feel about this…"

Dipper looked at his sister. "Mabel, please! Don't you always say that everyone deserves a second chance?"

"Yeah," Mabel said. "But…he's Gideon!"

Dipper sighed. "Fine! If you won't trust him, then trust me! And if Gideon double crosses us, then I'll take full responsibility! Okay?"

Mabel sighed. "Okay, I trust you Dipper."

Wendy, Miranda, Candy, and Marco nodded in agreement.

"Okay, right now, we need to focus on getting everyone off the beach," Dipper instructed. "Because when Bossman's guards don't return to their HQ, he'll send more to investigate. I want to try to temporarily relocate to the cabin, but it'll be really crowded, so I want a couple of people to go and clear it out. In the meantime, I want people guarding every perimeter of our beach. No one's coming onto our turf tonight without being seen. Once we're all relocated, then we plan an attack on Bossman's HQ. Deal?"

Everyone else nodded and cheered.

"Then let's get to work," Dipper said.

Gideon patted Dipper on the back. "Hey, thanks for having my back."

Dipper turned around and put a finger on Gideon's chest. "Your welcome. But you better not make me regret it. I put my reputation on the line for you"

What happens when Marco is spotted by one of Bossman's guards as he and Candy clean out the cabin? Find out in Chapter 38: Seen (Part 1).
