Lionblaze's POV

"Pass it here!"

As soon as Mousewhisker tosses the basketball into my hands, I weave my way past the Windkids to get to the basketball hoop.

"Stop him!" growls Emberfoot.

I smirk as I leap forward and throw the basketball into the hoop. It makes a swish, and Brambleclaw cheers from the sidelines.

"ThunderCabins are winning, ten points against eight!"

Yes! We're beating them, I tell myself as Breezepelt grabs the ball. He fakes going to the right, and I almost trip and fall. However, I regain my balance, but the moron has raced forward and passes the ball to Heathertail.

I bet she's the worst basketball player ever.

Surprisingly, though, behind all that makeup she wears, Heathertail's got a determined look on her face, and she speeds past Hollyleaf.

"Get the basketball!" I shout to my sister, racing forward.

Unfortunately, Heathertail's fast. She sprints away with the basketball, and then tosses it into the hoop.

"Ten to ten!"

Darn it, they're catching up.

Squirrelflight, from the sidelines, looks at her watch, then turns to us and yells, "after we break the tie, this game is over!"

One more shot. I got this.

Now, Ivypool's got the basketball. She may not be as fast as the Windkids, but she's quick and clever. Ivypool dribbles the ball away from Breezepelt, who looks like he either wants to kiss her or strangle her. I'm not sure which.

Ivypool tosses the basketball to Mousewhisker, who quickly accepts it. He runs towards the hoop, only to be stopped by Sunstrike.

Now, Sunstrike may be small, but that means she's even faster. Sunstrike quickly grabs the ball out of Mousewhisker's hands, then dribbles it down the court.

"Get the basketball!" I yowl.

Cinderheart, who's beside me, nods. She races away from me and towards Sunstrike. As Sunstrike leaps into the air and throws the basketball, Cinderheart blocks the throw. Sunstrike frowns as Cinderheart quickly takes the basketball with a smirk.

"Nice job, Cinderheart!" I cheer her on.

"Why are you just standing here?" growls Breezepelt, looking at me. "Shouldn't you be helping your little friend?"

"Shouldn't you be helping your little WindCabin friends?" I retort. Before Breezepelt can say anything else, I sprint away from him and towards Cinderheart, who jumps forward and makes a basket.

"ThunderCABINS! ThunderCABINS! ThunderCABINS!" the others cheer us on.

I smile as Graystripe steps forward to determine that we've won.

Brambleclaw runs up to me and gives me a high-five.

"Nice job, there," he says. "I knew you guys could do it."

I smile. "Thanks, Brambleclaw. So… what's next?"

Brambleclaw smiles. "Archery against ShadowCabins, then volleyball against RiverCabins."

Ivypool's POV

"Another bulls-eye, Ivypool!" Dovewing cheers as my arrow hits the center of the target. Wow. I never knew I was so good at archery.

"You're going down, Thundergirl," hisses Dawnpelt from next to to me as she scores an eight.

I smirk. "Well, well, well, it appears that I'm winning."

Dawnpelt says some not-very-nice words as I grip my bow and prepare for another bulls-eye.

However, when I let go of the arrow, it soars over the target.

Dawnpelt laughs. "Wow, Ivypool. Nice archery skills there."

Now it's my turn to say some bad words as Dawnpelt shoots a bulls-eye.

"Take that!" Dawnpelt exclaims.

"You shut up," I growl. I pick up another arrow and hold the bow in my arm. My hands shake as I let go, and the arrow soars.

I hit the edge of the target.

"One point," says Sorreltail from behind me. I look over and she gives me a weak smile.

What's going on, Ivypool? I tell myself. You're Ivypool. Get with it. Wake up. You don't take any of ShadowCabin's crap. You'll win this.

I'll win this.

I pick up another arrow, put it into the bow, and let it soar.

It hits the bulls-eye.

Of Dawnpelt's target.

Well, crap.

"Nice job," smirks Dawnpelt. It's taking me a lot right now to not tackle her.

xXx

"Great job, Ivypool!"

"Shut up," I growl. "I lost for us. I lost."

"That doesn't mean you're a bad person," Dovewing says, her eyes worried. Wait… Dovewing's worried. For me.

"Yeah," I snort. "Well, now ShadowCabins are going to win, and ThunderCabins are going to lose. Because of me."

"It's okay, Ivypool," says Dovewing with another smile. "We still have volleyball with RiverCabins, and soccer with WindCabins."

I smirk. "Okay." I still have a chance to prove myself. Maybe I'm not the best archer out there, but I'm pretty darn good at soccer.

Honeyfern's POV

"Heads up, Petalfur!" I say as I launch the volleyball in her direction. Petalfur hurries to try and spike it back, but she misses it.

"Score!" I smirk. Petalfur frowns but passes it to Beetlewhisker, a teammate, who then hurries to launch it over the net.

Eventually, after a few more minutes of playing, RiverCabins have won. I frown.

"Good game," I sigh, shaking hands with Petalfur. After all, we were the two captains.

Sighing, I walk over to Mousewhisker. He's been a good friend. Mousewhisker's a lot nicer than his brother. For example, he actually listens.

"It's okay," Mousewhisker smiles lightly. "That was a close game."

"What's the overall score?" I ask. "For all the sports so far?"

Mousewhisker sighs. "We won basketball. We lost archery and volleyball. However, the two were at a close game." Mousewhisker smiles. "And they don't give you points for winning. They give you points for-"

"How many points we actually get!" I squeal. "So, we lost, but we still might be able to win!"

Mousewhisker nods. "Exactly."

Then, we hear the foghorn, signaling that our time is up, and Mousewhisker turns to me.

"Now, it's time for some soccer."
